L7 CHICAGO BY LOTTE

Stayed here yesterday. Very nice hotel and super sweet staff. The location is great too! The room was comfy but they just need to do a slightly better job with cleaning/dusting.

We splurged on a room for the last night of our summer vacation and it was such a highlight! The room was awesome and my kid slept in the window seat. Jovan was amazing and so kind and gave us exceptional service. I would absolutely stay here again because everything about it was great.

The Kimpton Hotel Monaco Chicago is an amazing hotel! Its prime location between the Bean and Magnificent Mile puts you right in the center of the action. The rooms are incredibly spacious with breathtaking views of the city skyline, ours had an amazing window sill that overlooked the river. Cleanliness is top-notch, and the staff is exceptionally kind, making check-in and check-out a breeze. For a memorable stay in Chicago, the Kimpton Hotel Monaco is the perfect choice! If I come back to Chicago this is exactly where I will be staying. The lobby was closed at the time that I stayed because it was under construction, but honestly it truly didn't make a difference in the stay and everything was still very easy to access. Great location, staff, services, and more. I highly recommend!!!

My only issue was that I couldn't stay longer.. 😂. This is a super nice hotel. The ambiance was superb. The hotel was ridiculously clean.The staff was very accommodating and personable. My view of the Chicago river was really cool..Room service took good care of me as well... And we're literally in the heart if downtown Chicago, walking distance from tons of major attractions. I live in Chicago and am already making plans for a longer staycaction at this beautiful hotel.

We had stayed at this hotel 2 years ago and we were pleased we arrived 2 days ago to find under construction. The lobby was closed which was one of the best parts of the hotel. When we got to the room we thought it was a mistake since it basically had no furniture beside the bed. No couch no chairs just a bizarre coffee table and a backless low stool. God forbid both of us wanted to sit down at the same time. When I asked for another room I was told all the rooms were the same as part of their redesign so no lobby and no seating. We cancelled and moved to the virgin down the street.

Booked as kimpton, not a kimptonany more, no restaurant, no bar, no lobby, no room service, charging premium rates. Haven’t even seen room yet…. Oh room is nice but not set up well for working and smells because all the new carpet, paint etc is off gassing. Can’t recommend this new brand.

We had stayed here shortly after Kempton came to town and a couple of times since. Those times, it was a grand combo of elegance and fun. Even a gold fish to share your room if u wanted. That was then. This is now.... The ground floor and restaurant are non functional for all practical purposes due to construction/renovation. There is a checking desk but it is surrounded by constriction plastic curtains screaning everything offvbutvthe pathvtovthe elevators. There is miniscule temp signage in front. The large lettering saying Monaco is torn down with holes, etc, in the wall. Unless u know the place, u wouldn't find it. Frankly, I wonder if they are becoming a different brand/name. The rooms look like a Spring Hills Suites but less fresh in design. I like that brand, but not for what this brand has been or price. It has a very weird vibe; a carpet in a print that looks like a dark black brick road with grey morter, no coffee maker, a hidden fidge u can't open, shower head mounted so high even a 7 ft. Tall person would have a stretch (no, not ceiling mounted). The only real positive was a comfortable bed. There was also quite a bit of noise inside and out. The one outstanding individual/experience was Antonio, the doorman. He absolutely should be a concierge. Kind, knowledgeable on restaurants, concerned about our visit. He is a true gem.

Besides the location which I found out that there were too many others at similar locations this hotel should be named a motel. The front desk and especially the night shift supervisor is a joke. Breakfast is so good that my dog wouldn’t even touch that food. I have stayed hundreds of hotels and so far this is the worst one ever.

Came here for my trip to Chicago, and made my reservations through Cap One for Kimptom Monaco, however L7 purchased the hotel and we're making the switch that day! Upon entering the hotel D greeted me and welcomed me in. The desk staff were so great. Dealing with new systems and a lobby of guests, checkin was a breeze. I was early for checkin and not sure if a room would be ready so I asked for a river view room, as I didn't mind waiting for one to come available. I was told rooms weren't yet ready but they could accommodate and it would be ready in an hour! I decided to leave my bags and off I went to explore the city! Returning a few hours later, Antonio and desk staff (whose names I didn't get :/ ) greeted me and told me my room was ready to go! Antonio whisked me away to my room and brought my luggage in. The room was stunning! The view was even more spectacular! As a mostly suburban girl, I rarely ever stay downtown, and I'm glad I did! There was a sitting area in the bay window, which I spent a lot of my time in, gazing out at the city lights while catching up on some zzz's and movies! Super walkable to absolutely everything from food, to sites, clubs, and trains. I throughly enjoyed my stay here. They are still doing some construction on the downstairs lobby for the restaurant, but they have another lobby on 3rd floor for coffee, pastries etc. Excited to come back and visit again, and would definitely stay here again!!

As former guests of the Kimptom Monaco, we were accustomed to exceptional quality and excited to try the new L7 Chicago by Lotte for our weekend getaway. The guests rooms are newly remodeled, spacious with tall ceilings and beautiful attention to details. The bay window padded seating was so inviting for a cup of tea and my book, plus a view of the river. The front desk staff were friendly and accomodating to our needs; check-in was a breeze. It looks like the lobby renovations are close to finish and, from our peek-in, will be gorgeous. Can't wait to come back for the unveiling!
