Buffet style dinner 🥂 Overall a great experience. The ambiance was super chill. A lot of Diego Rivera paintings that e capture Mexican art. The food was a bit salty for my taste. But it's something more resonant to what I eat at home. I would highly recommend for someone who wants authentic Mexican cuisine without breaking the bank.

I literally been coming here since I was a kid which is 50 years ago when it was in the supermarket. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant period. It's cafeteria style with the grandmother's recipes. The tamales are amazing the chicken mole Chile rellenos when all said and done you can't go wrong with anything you order.

We were in the area today and looking to try someplace. La Casa de Pueblo Taqueria had an overwhelming amount of positive reviews so we decided to give it a shot. As soon as we got our food we knew why there were so many positive reviews. The portion sizes for the price was extremely reasonable, especially for the city, and everything was absolutely delicious. We had the chilli rellenos tacos and my partner had the chicken with mole. Both of us were extremely satisfied with our meal and everything came out to 20 bucks with tax and tip tip. We may have just found our new place to hit up in the Pilsen area next time we're down there.

I grew up in this neighborhood and every time I come in they are short staff. The waitress’s have bad attitude’s. They like to gossip and you can hear what they say and sometimes it is very inappropriate. This is why I like to go to Milagros down the street. The food and customer service is amazing. However every now and then I stop in here thinking the place may have improved and sadly it always disappoints. Whomever manages this place should take their time and select staff who actually treat customers with respect 🫡 I have a lot of neighbors who agree and state how they don’t bother coming here anymore and more than likely their reviews are fake. Either way. Customer service needs improvement!

The prices for the food is way too high. The amount of food is way too little. There’s no specials of the day. The waiter does not go to your table and hand you a menu and takes your order. My recommendation to the owner if your gonna own a restaurant make sure you have specials and deals daily. 2nd. Lower the prices because the food here way overpriced.. 3rd if your gonna raise prices make sure you give More food to every order it doesn’t make sense to increase prices for little portion…

I have been coming here all my life and can honestly say as a true Mexican American raised in Little Village that the Posole served here is the best in Chicago. Sunday morning with a big bowl of posole with a few of the super delicious crispy cheese and pepper stuffed quesadillas and a couple of the sugary Cokes from the fridge and you just might think you're in heaven. The awesome part about the place is that the employees have been there for many many years and I literally just have to find a table when I walk in with my kids or with my girl and the same few waitresses already know what to bring and just tell me to sit down. They know about my family they know about me. It's a true family restaurant. You can't beat that. As a matter of fact I'm going to get some right now. 😎😎😎

I ordered carryout. A man with grey hair was taking the orders. It was my turn in line, and he walked away and didn't even say I'll be right with you or anything. He went to the back and started yelling at an older lady in the kitchen. I felt so bad for the lady because he was so demanding telling her to stop doing what she was doing and gave her another job duty in front of the other employees. He then came to the front and pointed his index finger at me like waiting for me to tell him my order. He Iooked so angry and didn't greet me or others as customers. I gave him my order, and no word came out of his mouth he just put my order ticket where they put the rest of them. I don't care if he is the owner or whatever he is. He needs to move out of there with his grumpy face. Other than that, the food is delicious.

Great neighborhood taqueria! I've been looking for a new go-to place in Pilsen and this is my new favorite spot. My spouse had the plato with carne de res and lengua, I had the chicken tinga and the barbacoa with frijoles and arroz. Everything was great, but the star of the show was the chicken tinga. Even got some extra things to go. Will definitely be coming back here again soon.
