The best guacamole and the best vegetarian tacos and burritos I've had in Bushwick. And the quickest delivery. First time I ordered I was sure the delivery was quick because the food was made earlier but it was hot, fresh and delicious!

Visited on weekday afternoon. They had plenty of street parking spaces in front of the store. It was convinient to find the parking. They have a small covered patio space near entrance. The waitress was very nice and welcoming. This restaurant offers mexican dishes and beverages and some fresh fruit smoothies. We ordered tamales, enchiladas with rice and beans, tacos, straberry smoothies. Tamales: comes out with steam. Very hot when they come. It was very authentic! Not too greasy like others. It was right amount of grease and portion was pretty generous too. Enchiladas: it tasted like a homemade (meaning doesnt taste like a factory, like taco bell) not overly flavored. I enjoyed the "regular" enchilada. Everywhere else I have visited tasted too strong and fake. Rice and beans: again rice and beans Tacos: i loved their tortillas. Kind of chewy. Not too raw. Meat was just about right. Portion is generous Smoothies: little too sweet. If you dont like sweetness, make sure ask for little unsweetened. Overall, very good local restaurant you could visit!

Very delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Service was great was served by a very sweet woman. Place was empty when i went on a Sunday. Place serves pressed juices, beers and smoothies.

Being Mexican myself, I feel that my opinion carries some weight so here we go... This is the worst Mexican food I have ever had. If zero stars could be given, it would. What I ordered: Enchiladas Rojas with cheese What the table ordered: Al Pastor Burrito Fajitas de Camarones Milanes de Rea To start off, all of our food was served cold except the Fajitas de Camarones. The Fajitas came out on a hot skillet which was fun to see but unfortunately the hot skillet wasn't warm enough to heat up the other dishes at the table. Now let's talk flavor. NONE. None of the food had any flavor. Now one may be asking, "How is it possible to have Mexican food with no flavor?" I HAVE NO IDEA. Not a single spice or even dash of salt was used. Everything tasted old or even possibly pre made hours before. The cheese used in the enchiladas had a rubbery texture and the enchilada sauce was extra sweet. My enchiladas came with a side of black beans and rice which were both just as disappointing. I am truly curious to know where in Mexico this food is from because I am in utter disbelief that someone could make Mexican food taste this awful. The one redeeming factor of this place, was our waitress. She was the only one waiting on the tables so I give her props for handling the dining and preparing take out orders. Why anyone would ever order food from here blows my mind though! I beg of you, DO NOT EAT HERE. Unless you like bland food. If so, ouch.

Very good food. Friendly service. The tamales are so very delicious ;) and they didn't take long to deliver at all.

The man running the place is very nice and works hard. The food is delicious and comes out quickly and hot. Quiet and calm restaurant with good food and service. Recommend!

This is the hidden gem and go-to spot in Bushwick for my friends and I to get our SMOOTHIES! This review is honestly only for the smoothies since I haven't been able to try the food here yet, but I really do have a deep appreciation for the fresh and cheap yummy smoothies they make here. I really love the one with espresso and banana and they have plenty of flavors to choose from-- fruity if you're feeling something refreshing and some with protein and extra nutritional boost if you're feeling ~powerful~. The smoothies we've had here have all been better and significantly cheaper than most of the ones I've had to spend $10+ on in Manhattan and other areas of NYC, so this spot is truly my secret weapon when it comes to satiating smoothie craving. Definitely give this place some love if you're ever in the Bushwick area!

We went here specifically for their tamales- nothing else. And in that respect, they are a clear winner. I'd say top 3 in the city. NYC has really improved its tamale game. Check them out- they have a bunch of different varities, some of which are quite unique and special...

Ugh I love this place!!! The carrot juice is my favorite! The women working here is so nice! 10/10! Recommend this place

Fresh and authentic! More than 6 years ago, I had my first and one of the best tortas ever from this under-rated gem. I am typing as I chomp on this messy flavor-bomb, and not wasting one drop. The bread is amazing, everything is well seasoned and melds together in the best way ever. The only other torta to compare to La Mesita's is from a little hole in the wall deli in Coney Island. Don't be surprised if you dream or start craving dishes from La Mesita LOL The juice/smoothie bar is poppin' as well!

Felt compelled to write a review after just eating it for like the 15th time. This place is REALLY solid. Consistently good every time I've ordered. Usually get a bistec (carne asada) burrito or camaron (shrimp) burrito, and they are delicious. Such good flavor. Also, comes with guac and pico that is always really fresh and portions are generally big. Had to give them props because of how consistent it's been every time. Respect. La Mesita is such a hidden gem and can't wait to try the rest of their menu

Ordered super fish taco, fries and pastor burritos. Tacos and burrito was good but the fries were not. Oily and old tasting. They didn't send any hot sauce.

All the tacos came with rice! They call them "placeros" They need to fix the menu urgently

I have received take out from this place numerous times. The food is always fresh and delicious. I have never had a bad meal from this place. The portions are just right. The packaging is neat and sturdy. You can tell they care for the food they serve.

Ordered takeout from here which may not be the way to go. The corn tortilla of my chicken tinga quesadilla was a little soggy and the food a little cold after a long wait time. However, the flavor of the tinga de pollo was very good and I loved the tortilla chips and salsa that I ordered from here. Next time I'll eat in.

Seriously always so good, the al pastor burrito is just a must. I swear they're always here insanely fast also. Never disappointed

Really nice staff here although food can be slow (they seem to do a bustling delivery service.) I really liked the salsa they brought out although it was sweeter and a bit different from others that I've had. Chicken enchiladas with salsa verde? Delicious. So good that when I brought the leftovers to work for lunch the next day, my colleague asked me to order her an order of them next time I went even though we work in Manhattan. Ha. Filled with chicken and smothered with salsa verde, crema, cheese and avocado slices. Too bad their rice and beans were rather unseasoned. The tinga burrito is really good as well. I've also tried the fajitas which I thought were alright but nothing special. I'd definitely go back for the enchiladas though!

ThIs burrito is bigger than a child's head. Get the tinga -- garlicky stewed aromatic chicken, shredded and put in massive flour tortilla with all that good good. It comes with a heaping dollop of guacamole and a serving of pico which adds lustrous sensuality to every bite.

La Mesita had delicious food !! The service was great ! I highly recommend checking this place out.

My go to spot. I am so glad I live so close to this place. I've only had good experiences here. The food is ready when they say it is, and it always tastes DELICIOUS. The employees are so nice too. I usually get the chicken burrito and horchata. So so good. I recommend this place to everyone!!!

Best Mexican food I've had in NYC! It's actually on par with California Mexican and right around the corner from where I live! It's my roomie's favorite Mexican joint in the neighborhood too, so 2 thumbs up from Cali Mexican grub snobs. You can ask for black beans in the veggie burrito, and it also has sauteed veggies inside with rice. It comes with a generous scoop of guacamole and pico de gallo -- both with lots and lots of raw onion!! Just the way real Mexican condiments should be!! Their tortilla chips are also super crunchy, just the right thickness and don't taste disgustingly greasy. This place is a family owned restaurant with a pretty spacious dining room. They're friendly and quick with service. I ordered online on Yelp24 and my order was ready for pick-up in about 15 minutes even though I received a text notification that it would take over an hour. Not really sure what was going on there.

Pollo Burrito: Very filling, nice size portion and still very warm. Tomato Salsa: Tomatoes aren't super ripe but it's a nice added addition none the less. Guacamole: It's decent for takeout but I wouldn't order it on its own. Ordered extra salsa verde and hot sauce on the side. Both tasted really fresh and the hot sauce is nothing to be scared of.

Best veg burrito in the area. The chicken burrito is delicious as well. Pair their burrito game with a fresh juice or smoothie and you've got a winner. Enchiladas are bangin also. Keep up the great work!

One of the best delivery orders I've ever had. Amazing value and portions, delicious food, very quick delivery. All around 10/10. Got the cheese enchilada verde, vegetarian burrito, and tostada carnitas. Crazy generous portion of meat on the tostada. Lots of avocado on the enchilada. Burrito came with chips, guacamole, and salsa included. What else could you want?? Can't wait to order from here again

Didn't expect it but, La Mesita Restaurant was great. I like the vibe of this place. Some people suggested Carnitas to me, I must say it was really outstanding. They are very clean and the workers were very polite. La Mesita Restaurant - They were terrific! I will certainly be back.

This was my very first time ordering from this Mexican restaurant. I can honestly say that not only was I pleased with the food I was also very pleased with the delivery and their delivery person. I will be ordering from them again because proper service is important as well as the taste of the food. I give this Mexican restaurant five stars for both food and their service.

Omg... Ordered the carnitas picaditas fir take out to try the place out and I'm swooning. It's spicy enough to make me eat slowly and so flavorful... I didn't even request extra spicy or anything. I'll definitely have to make more orders in the future, such a great value.

Such a pleasant experience. I'm Mexican and the food was outstanding! It truly is authentic Mexican food. There's great service and the ambience is lovely. Will be definitely be coming back! I got the pastor tacos and the guacamole and both were DELICIOUS! The sauces were delicious as well! I highly recommend this place.

Have you ever eaten something so good that for some reason it automatically makes you want to start flipping tables over and start yelling? That's how I feel about La Mesita.

Order from this place at least once a week. Always on time, always fresh and hot, huge portions at such a good price. Cannot reccomend this place enough, and there's not a bad dish on the menu.

Chicken Nachos is my go-to order from La Mesita. I love it! It's made perfect every time. (I always order mine without jalapeños). They serve so much that it's hard to finish the whole order

La Mesita is hands down the best Mexican food you can get in Bushwick. You can never go wrong the the chicken tinga burrito, but you can never go wrong w anything bc this is the BEST around. Not only is the food amazing and flavorful, but they are also incredible with deliveries. I just got my food in less than 20 minutes! The guac is out of this world, and always come w burritos! I have ordered from here on multiple occasions since they deliver to my area. I have ordered a breakfast plate that had rice, beans, chorizo with eggs (and tortillas included) really good and filling. The chicken burrito I ordered one time didn't taste too good to me, maybe cause it was cold. My fault I waited long to eat it. Today I ordered the tacos placeros which brings the 2 tacos which technically counts as 4 tortillas. Anyways really delicious. I also ordered the chicken enchiladas today, by the looks of it rice and beans are included. Will post next time on how they tasted. My orders always arrive on time. I don't have any complaints thus far.

Totally great authentic Mexican restaurant! We came here for lunch but had breakfast food, which is awesome that serve breakfast past noon! I had the chilaquiles, which were really good! My friend had the "huevos estilo la mesita" and he said it was amazing! I had a taste of their rice and it was AUTHENTIC Mexican rice! Absolutely amazing!!! I also had some of their fried plantains, which were a little too sweet for my taste but again overall great experience!

Best Mexican in my hood. Burritos are HUGE and so packed full of flavor. I love the little sides of guac and chips when you get take out. The guy there is always nice as well. A go-to for me and my husband for sure!

Best Mexican delivery ever! Since living in Bushwick the last 1.5 years I've found that delivery in the neighborhood not only takes hours to arrive but the food is less than average. This is the first restaurant that actually delivers your food in 30 minutes or less and the food tastes good by the time you actually get it! We've had the steak nachos, burritos, dillas and soft tacos. All delicious!!

Yes, tacos are good But the SUPER TACO??? You Must try and discuss* * no seriously. Someone else please order this and then tell me what the fuck is in it that makes it so good. I have no idea. My roommates have no idea. But we are obsessed and I want to pour the sauce all over my body

I am thrilled about the food here! I've finally found a magnificent delivery spot in my neighborhood. I got the Chile Relleno for $10 (1 big guy) and the Kindney Cleansing Juice (broccoli, spinach, cucumber, and celery) for $6.* I barely finished the one dish and will have to save the beans from the dish and the juice for tomorrow. Great bang for your buck! *Price is pre-tax and tip; $20 total including.
