Not worth the hype and the queue. We waited days in mind to try these delicious looking desserts and waited for 40 minutes in actual queue only to be disappointed. It is a piece of art in terms of presentation but tasted really bad. The mango was too sour and no sweet taste to complement it. The pistachio was the worst of all. It was just not sweet at all and tasted super bland and salty. We end up wasting it away. 18 euros for it? More like 2 euros only. The raspberry vanilla dessert ended up being decent and we liked it, though it can be improved further. Overall, chef really needs to take these feedback and make it worth the hype and money. Totally not worth my 98 euros.

It’s best to pre-order online and pick them up at the store. I believe the pastry is well-balanced with a good amount of sweetness and flavor. Considering the amount of work and effort they put into these, 18 euros is quite a bargain. I’ll definitely try it again if I ever have the chance.

Cedric Grolet is a must-try for every pastry lover and foodie. It was full of people, so I had to wait about 40 minutes. I tried their raspberry dessert, which was so delicious. The raspberries inside were not sweet, and the outside was crispy white chocolate and vanilla mousse and again well balanced with the sugar. It was delightful! I mean, it was really one of the best desserts I ate in Paris. I highly recommend the shop.

The primary flavour of the fruits are missing. I tried the Mango and the Peach. It tasted like a sour fruit. A good Mango should be not sour. It should be sweet (I am coming from a country where Mangoes grow and eaten as a fruit). If I need sour flavor, I would’ve tried a passion fruit; which should have sourness. So the primary flavour of a GOOD Mango is missing. Rather it has a taste of an unripe Mango. And the same with Peach. Only the outer layer of the fruit is nice visually and also the money mostly goes to the packaging as I see. But the taste is surprisingly bad. Unsatisfied. I am surprised why they have not given their 5 cents to the flavour when the outer layer and texture is nice. The service is good.

Google
Review for La Pâtisserie du Meurice par Cédric Grolet Expectations were very high — and honestly, everything was truly delicious. The vanilla dessert was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, but then we tried the pecan one… and it completely stole the show, effortlessly. We pre-ordered, so there was no wait in line, and there’s a lovely park right next door where you can sit and enjoy your treats.

Very nice shop, nice staff and service. But unfortunately the pastries leave a lot to desire. I tried the mango and the peach, they look extraordinary. But the flavour is rather bland, mostly sour. In both pastries the fruit pieces were crunchy and unripe, leaving almost no peach or mango flavour, just unpleasantly sour flavour. Maybe the pistachio or popcorn is better, but I feel disappointed by the hype. Go to any other generic patisserie and you can find something better tasting than these. Feels like unfortunately this is also a place where it’s all about the looks and not the taste.

Google
Cedric Grolet La Pâtisserie is an experience worth trying at least once, especially for foodies and pastry lovers. The desserts are beautiful and delicious, but for me, the wow factor didn’t quite match the price tag. Try it for the artistry and the taste, but don’t be surprised if you don’t feel the urge to return for seconds.

I pre-ordered my desserts because I wasn’t sure if there was going to be a long wait. When we arrived it was about eight people in line, however, since I pre-ordered online I was able to go right to the pickup line. I really enjoyed the Mango tarte. Very tasty. Unfortunately, I didn’t eat my Apple right away, so by time we got back to the room it fell apart in the box. It was still very flavorful, but just as a pile of mush. I didn’t know you’re supposed to eat it within an hour. The mango tarte held up really well because of the base.

Yelp
If you didn't know this place was run by a social media-famous pastry chef, the long line should tip you off. That said, it moved pretty quickly and I was in the store within 10 mins. Super nice personalized shopping experience, with six fruits to choose from the day I visited. Went with the peach, with was looked gorgeous and was tasty enough if not spectacular in its flavor - definitely more for entertainment factor. You can also order ahead to avoid the line, though you don't get to have the nice in-store experience if you go that route.

Yelp
The wait for this patisserie is one of a kind. Cedric who is well loved on social media, and has a worldwide presence and name recognition There are two lines at the location. A lot of his bakeries will have one line for the café to be seated to enjoy desserts. There's also another line for takeout. The dine in line is incredibly impossible to get a spot. I would recommend coming on a weekday as early as possible as many many of the signature items well so quickly especially the most popular ones. To be honest, the item was very tasty, but it's comparable to many other notable, patisseries in France that would have a long history in Heritage, a much shorter line. And I had to do it again I would still go lineup for the experience and try the items, but it would not be worth repeat visits in my opinion as the items are not memorable and your time will be better spend elsewhere

Yelp
Walked by this queue everyday for two weeks and one day I braved the January Paris morning and stood in line. Was the 30 minute wait worth it? They serve individual items made by Meurice Grolet at €17 a piece. I tried the mango, peanut, Paris Brest, and cookie. All were good, but I think the mango stood out.

Yelp
After a 40-minute wait to enter the bakery, we were lucky enough to get some croissants and the desserts from the shop. Their pastries emphasize fruits and offer a fresh take on traditional French desserts. In general, the croissants were decent but nothing too special about it other than it's appearance.

Yelp
During my recent visit to La Pâtisserie du Meurice par Cédric Grolet, I had the pleasure of experiencing two distinct desserts that left a lasting impression. While one was a strawberry-shaped delight that fell short of its price tag, the other was an oversized cookie that exceeded all expectations. Let's start with the strawberry dessert. Shaped like a perfect, ripe strawberry, it was undeniably a visually striking creation. The attention to detail and craftsmanship were evident, and I eagerly anticipated indulging in its flavors. The inside revealed a luscious strawberry puree, which provided a burst of fruity goodness. However, despite the pleasant taste and lovely presentation, I couldn't help but feel that the $20 price tag was a bit steep for what it offered. While enjoyable, the overall experience didn't quite justify the high cost. On the other hand, the cookie at La Pâtisserie du Meurice was a true standout. As soon as I laid my eyes on its substantial size, I knew I was in for a treat. The cookie was an absolute marvel - perfectly baked with a golden exterior and a soft, gooey center. Each bite was an explosion of rich, buttery flavor, accompanied by the perfect balance of sweetness and texture. It was an indulgence that brought pure joy with every mouthful. At $15, the price felt more reasonable, considering the sheer size and the exceptional taste that made it worth every penny. While the strawberry dessert fell short of my expectations in terms of value for money, the cookie at La Pâtisserie du Meurice was a revelation. It showcased the craftsmanship and expertise of the pastry team, delivering an exceptional dessert experience that left me thoroughly impressed. In conclusion, La Pâtisserie du Meurice par Cédric Grolet offers a range of creations that can be both hits and misses in terms of value. While the strawberry dessert, though enjoyable, may not have justified its price, the oversized cookie was a remarkable masterpiece that justified every bit of its cost. It's a reminder that exploring the menu at La Pâtisserie du Meurice can lead to both delightful surprises and an occasional mismatch between taste and price.

Yelp
Doctor: you should eat more fruits and vegetables. Shelley: *goes to Le Meurice and gets all the Fruits by Cédric Grolet* Instructions unclear! Lame jokes aside, Cédric Grolet seriously makes the best pastries in the world. They're always incredibly beautiful, ingeniously creative, and above all, absolutely delicious. Highly recommend all the Paris Brests and the Fruits!

Yelp
I saw the head chef's work in a video on Pinterest about a month before my trip to Paris, and I knew that I absolutely had to visit his patisserie, and see these works of art, for myself. Cédric Grolet is renowned for his lifelike confections and apparently word has spread about his brilliant works of art. When I arrived, there was a line of about a dozen or so people outside of the tiny shop. The wait to enter was about 10 minutes, plus another 5-10 minutes once inside, which gave me plenty of time to watch these brilliant artists create even more delicious confections. I ordered a Royal Apple and, simply put, it was nothing short of a work of art. The color was bold and vibrant, with a beautiful glossy finish. The marble printed boxes were customized to house the confections safely and protect them from jostling during transport. The Apple was so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it... Almost.

Yelp
I was so looking forward to visit and taste one of his masterpiece. It is emotionally overwhelming to enter a place like le Meurice, let alone a place like Cedric's , so needless to say how disappointing it was not to be greeted by any of the 3 ladies behind the counter. I approached the counter near the cash register and the lady asked me if I were ready and I replied that I needed help to select one. Rather than walking me through the 6 delicious (it could have been 5) little heaven, she says " well everything is written here". How sad! I refused to let her ruin my moment and went for the black lemon one and proceeded to pay. Again she was unpleasant, cold and quite brusque. At 17 euros a piece, not only do you expect great service, but with Cedric Grolets name attached to it I would have hoped for better. Cedric should make sure that EVERYONE feels welcome. If I wanted bad experience I would have ridden the MTA.

Yelp
We had the pastries for breakfast and were ok nothing spectacular but the afternoon tea was awful we couldn't eat anything. Sandwiches drenched in oil mayo and so gross made me sick , sweets were just as bad. Do not recommend wasting time and money here.

Yelp
I had read an online article about pastries by Cedric Grolet and had bookmarked the new location he has opened in Paris. It is very close to The Louvre - you can actually walk to it. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star rating is because of the extremely high prices. I tried 2 of their pastries - Hazelnut and Pistachio. Hazelnut was pretty good, but I wasn't much impressed with Pistachio - found it very heavy, not like delicate pastries available in Paris bakeries. The packing was efficient and the boxes were beautiful. The shop itself is minimally decorated. I guess they want the attention of visitors on the pastries. I would say go and try one, but it definitely is pricey!

Yelp
This is art. Every piece is so beautiful that you don't want to mess it up by eating it. While the desserts are beyond beautiful the taste is just ok and on the tad too sweet side.

Yelp
When food depicts art you're probably in Paris. Here's another example of exquisite food art aka food porn created by Cedric Grolet for Le Meurice. Grolet was named the World's Best Pastry chef in a restaurant in 2017 during the Grandes Tables du Monde gala, but he's knows throughout the world as simply the best pastry chef. They open at noon but the line starts just after 11am and they close just a few hours later. I think they're closed on Mondays, but best to check before. Each day they offer something new. Can't wait to go back today and try another piece of art.

Yelp
When 5 pastries are not enough than Cedric Grolet is the place to visit. Simply wonderful each pastry better than the next. Probably one of the most memorable pastry delights of this most recent visit to Paris!

Yelp
I lined up just before noon. The chefs came out when it opened to shake everyone's hand. Everything looked beautiful. I got the chocolate cake (€30+) and lemon (€15+). Both were beautiful. The chocolate cake was okay, large but not great. The lemon was interesting but not great. Both too expensive to be worth it compared to what you can get elsewhere.

Yelp
I really can't believe this place doesnt' have more reviews. I purchase their cherry dessert which looked more like an art piece than a dessert. The texture, flavor, everything was perfect. It's a little pricey however what isn't expensive in Paris! The packaging is equally impressive. They give you the pastry in what looks like a marble box. I honestly did not want to eat it but when I did it was sure delicious!

Yelp
This is art. Not your average bakery. You can see all they can make in the book they sell. For now main bakery is still under construction so they work from smaller place and limited hours. Sometimes lines are long but towards closing no line. It is worth the price.

Sofia G.

Yelp
I had read about it online, and when I saw the pictures I thought it would be all about the perfect picture. I arrived at Cedric Grolet's Pâtisserie, and I fell in love with every piece of art laying on the table. The service was incredible, and my friend and I were given samples of the most delicious cookies. We bought the Madagascar Tart - the best tart I have ever tried! Not only was it beautiful, but the flavors were extraordinary. We ate the tart in the Jardin de Tuileries. Will be my first bite when I go back to Paris!
