19 Essential French Restaurants Around Atlanta

"The South of France comes to North Atlanta at this elegant spot in Sandy Springs. Founded by Nice natives, the dining room specializes in Provençal cuisine, serving up a seafood-heavy menu with a distinct Italian influence. Snag a seat on the patio to enjoy plates like swordfish in white wine beurre blanc or linguine with salmon paired with a refreshing glass of Niçois wine. Visit on a weeknight to take advantage of the venue’s $49 three-course prix fixe menu. Closed Sundays." - Sarah Bisacca

Me and my friend went on Saturday for lunch. This petite restaurant served the best French onion soup. Our server was very friendly, and the food overall was great. We finished the experience strong with a chocolate mousse, which was served with three types of syrup (or should I say toppings) that were also amazing. This may be a random comment, but the restroom had a grab bar and I thought that was very thoughtful.

Very nice old-style (my style) French restaurant. Table cloths, nice and clean. Cute little place with great atmosphere and attention. Food was very good (I had the Escalope de veau a la nicoise), and really well served. Also, the perfect size of plate and food in it. I didn't leave anything and neither did the people having dinner with me. It was the perfect portion both in size and quality of the ingredients. It all balanced out really well. Wine can be by the bottle or glass and given that I was the only one drinking a red wine I went with a glass of a nice Argentinian Malbec. For that kind of dinner you're looking at 50-60 bucks per person, which honestly I'm fine with but that's up to everyone's own pocket to determine.

About 12 friends, including Myself made reservations for this place a week in advance so that we could celebrate our 10 year anniversary of all of us meeting in Paris. It’s right off very well. The service was very good and attentive. I’d ask for something and it would immediately come out. The food took a little while, however we did come with a bunch of people so we understand. And it came out great. The bread, the wine and the service was amazing. The best part about this was the lady who I assume is the owner was very social with us. She was very happy to hear about our 10 year reunion and brought out special desserts, and wines for us. I felt spoiled and fêted. We thank her and the staff very much for the great event. And hope to back again before 10 years.

This place is a special place for me. I have tried so many of the dishes and have not been disappointed once. The food is seasoned and cooked extremely well. The staff are a delight and so friendly. The owner Stephanie and staff always greet you with a warm smile. I've never waited for anything. It's my go to spot in Sandy Springs. Be sure to stop in and eat some delicious, savory dishes and enjoy the warm, friendly service you will get everytime you visit.

What a lovely experience! My dear friend invited me to La Petite Maison for lunch and we sat in the enclosed patio. My friend knew exactly what she was having and I ordered the Caprese panini, which was okay. When the delightful server took our order, I told her I was hoping they would have had escargot on the lunch menu. Guess what? She got them prepared for me, and they were just delicious!!! What a treat!!! My friend loved her Niçoise salad which was a huge portion. Just to make top it all up, we indulged in an incredibly well made crème brûlée!! All very special. A pity there were so few people dining at lunch.

Food is overpriced and over sauced. We had the scallops and tuna steak. Although the cheese plate was good. The service was teetering on the edge of being rude only to be to saved by the bus boy Carlos who was attentive. Kelly the lead server stopped by every table to check on them, even those she was not serving, and was intentional to avoid our table and eye contact. No idea why. And to top it all there was a house fly buzzing over our food the whole time. Wouldn’t recommend going here. If you like French food, we enjoyed Anis bistro almost a year ago.

Food...sigh...always a favorite place and tonight very sadly disappointed. The special, duck, almost tasted off, and sauce was cool, salty and beginning to gel. A fly flew into my full glass of wine and when I called it to wait staff attention it was promptly poured out and fresh glass brought but no wine. Stephanie is sadly missed, it simply isn't same without her smile and friendly greeting.
