This evening, we had the pleasure of dining at La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant in Messilla, New Mexico. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the restaurant's unique blend of rich history and vibrant decor.
With 80 years of service under its belt, this iconic eatery boasts 13 distinctively decorated rooms, creating an immersive and enchanting atmosphere. The staff, led by our outstanding server Frida, delivered top-notch service, showcasing their dedication to ensuring every guest feels valued.
The culinary delights were equally impressive, with generous portions and expertly seasoned dishes that left us eager to return.

What we ordered
☆ Quesadillas
Corn or flour tortillas with melted monterey jack cheese, served with guacamole, mexican slaw and sour cream on the side.
☆ Tostadas Compuestas
"A new mexican dish originated at la posta in 1939" toasted corn tortilla cups filled with frijoles and red chile con carne, topped with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes and grated cheddar cheese. Substitute mexican slaw instead of chopped lettuce garnish for an amazing flavor combination!
☆ Red Enchilada
Corn tortillas dipped in red chile sauce, sprinkled with chopped onion and grated cheddar cheese. Our red enchilada is served pancake style.

Homemade fresh apple, cherry, apricot, pumpkin, or mincemeat turnover served hot with ice cream.
