Went with my mom for my birthday, everything was fantastic! I had a combo plate and Mom had the steak fajitas, all of it was seasoned and cooked very well. The prickly pear margarita was a bit sweet, but drop the lime wedge in and it's much better. They offered me a free sopaplilla for my birthday and Mom ordered churros, which were the best we've ever had. We will be going back!

The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. We brought our chocolate lab (traveling) and were seated in a beautiful patio with misters about as it was a bit hot. The food was incredible! We went with recommendations and tried the beef tacos and combo platter and both were excellent - truly authentic Mexican. Plus, so many margaritas to choose from. I enjoyed a prickly pear margarita as I don’t see that too often on menus. And, the best part? Dessert! The fried ice cream was the best I’ve had in 30 years. The tortilla it sat in made it! My husband and I ate the whole thing So good! I wish we lived nearer as this would be a regular restaurant for us. .

🌵 Hidden Gem in New Mexico! 🌵 This restaurant was a delightful discovery during my visit to New Mexico! 🏺 Incredible Atmosphere 🏺 The atmosphere was absolutely magical! The way they've celebrated the local history throughout the space made dining here a cultural experience. Every corner had something unique to admire, telling stories of New Mexico's rich heritage. 🐠 Fascinating Waiting Area 🐠 While waiting for our table, we were entertained by the most unexpected surprise - various birds and fish tanks filled with colorful aquatic creatures! It turned what could have been a boring wait into an engaging mini-zoo experience. 🍽️ Delicious Food 🍽️ The food was absolutely incredible! Each dish was carefully prepared with authentic flavors that really showcased what New Mexican cuisine is all about. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and homemade. 🤠 Historic Charm 🤠 I loved how they've preserved and celebrated the history of the region. The decor tells stories of the past, creating a museum-like experience while you dine. It's clear the owners take pride in sharing this cultural heritage with guests. 💫 Overall Experience 💫 From the unique wildlife in the waiting area to the mouthwatering food and immersive historical atmosphere, this place deserves a perfect 10/10! I'm already planning my next visit and can't wait to bring friends along to experience this New Mexican treasure!

We walked in it and was very colorful w mexican decorations, fish tanks and large talking birds! We were seated quickly but service was slow. In their defense it was very busy. Surprisingly, food came out very quickly and piping hot! It did not disappoint. My favorite was the fajitas! I do have one issue. The bathrooms needed some heavy cleaning, it was kind of disgusting. My thoughts are if the bathroom looks that bad, how does the kitchen look? I get it. Its a old restaurant and has been around for a while but COME ON!!! CLEAN UP YOUR ACT! Paying customers deserve clean, upkept bathrooms. Very disappointing.

One of the oldest Mexican restaurants located in Old Mesilla; The ambience authentic and eye catching. We were seated right away and chips and salsa were served almost immediately. My favorite menu items are the pasole and ceviche. The service is slow, and things we ordered were missed completely and had to be taken off our charges as we never received them, drink service was also very slow. However, we enjoyed our time and will return again.

I split the combo #1 with my wife & it was the perfect amount of food for both of us. We had the same favorite - the red chile con carne. Definitely get some tortillas, they aren't that expensive & don't come standard with the meal, plus they are big & taste great. Everything tasted very good, there were no complaints. Service was ok. We parked by the church, the walk was not far at all. Pricing was on par with other restaurants. We live in the PNW & wanted a good meal - the day before we were left disappointed with another restaurant because the food was just ok. My favorite LC restaurant unfortunately closed so we chose something that we knew would leave us satiated & La Posta delivered

Cute place, 1st time here, vibrant colors and cute little stores and birds in the lobby. Wasn't busy but food was slow to come out. I ordered 2 tacos and my husband ordered the enchiladas but it still took 30 minutes to come out. Also ordered sopapillas as like an appetizer but I won't order those again, they were super thin ankle crispy and lacked any flavor, I love the sopapillas at si senors so much better. I would come back again. Waitress and manager were super nice.
