La Posta De Mesilla

Food was good and their horchata was delicious! Our server was great. The hostess was probably the worst person they could put in the front to greet people as she was not friendly at all. In addition they have multiple entrances but very few directions of where to go to ask for a table. We waited for 10 minutes till someone finally noticed us just standing and they pointed us in the right direction. The atmosphere was neat, lots of rich and beautiful history.

The New Mexican food was delicious, the atmosphere really warm, with colorful and cool decor. The restaurant has many different rooms of various sizes, giving an interesting vibe. There are even live birds in a huge enclosed area, and two piranhas, each in their own tank.

This is rare! 5 star! Amazing food and service the flan was to die for. The place reminded me of the tardis because seemed so cute and small and once your inside then room after room of tables. Was nice they had all the customers spread out seemed very personal with your family.

The food is amazing! The place adorable and cozy. Just, please, keep clean the restrooms, the ladies room need attention always.

Atmosphere is great, different rooms, with extravagant decor, touristy vibe, but the food is not the best. Chimichunga was not made to order as it was not hot and crispy and the taste was not all that great. My partners dish was good. Service was great and prickly pear margaritas were excellent

Everyone I met was friendly and professional. The food was fresh, tasty and well made with generous portions. The atmosphere was family oriented and comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great experience.

12/12/24: Delicious food and spectacular service. We had an amazing male server that was exceptional. The environment inside reminded me of a retro old time feel. It is so cool. I forgot to take a photo of my food, I was having too much fun.

This evening, we had the pleasure of dining at La Posta de Mesilla Restaurant in Messilla, New Mexico. With 80 years of service under its belt, this iconic eatery boasts 13 distinctively decorated rooms, creating an immersive and enchanting atmosphere. The staff, led by our outstanding server Frida, delivered top-notch service, showcasing their dedication to ensuring every guest feels valued. The culinary delights were equally impressive, with generous portions and expertly seasoned dishes that left us eager to return. Every aspect of our visit, from the warm hospitality to the delectable cuisine, made for an unforgettable evening, and we look forward to our next visit. What we ordered ☆ Quesadillas Corn or flour tortillas with melted monterey jack cheese, served with guacamole, mexican slaw and sour cream on the side. ☆ Tostadas Compuestas "A new mexican dish originated at la posta in 1939" toasted corn tortilla cups filled with frijoles and red chile con carne, topped with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes and grated cheddar cheese. Substitute mexican slaw instead of chopped lettuce garnish for an amazing flavor combination! ☆ Red Enchilada Corn tortillas dipped in red chile sauce, sprinkled with chopped onion and grated cheddar cheese. Our red enchilada is served pancake style. Dessert ☆ Empanada - Apple Homemade fresh apple, cherry, apricot, pumpkin, or mincemeat turnover served hot with ice cream. ☆ Fried Ice Cream
