Lafayette is truly special. The vibes are immaculate, the attention to detail in the ambience, and the attentiveness of the servers was wonderful. Also helps that the food was bomb, Chilean sea bass, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake were standouts that were to die for. I loved the atmosphere and decor and would definitely come back, especially for a nightcap at the bar to enjoy the live music! Very soothing atmosphere :)

Lafayette offers a refreshing change from its predecessor, El Tucan, in the same location. I recently dined here with friends and we were all impressed by the standout decor, service, and wine program. The restaurant exudes class with its stunning lighting and tasteful decor. However, it was surprising to find no live entertainment on a Saturday night. It appears that live music is scheduled only on weekdays, which seems an unusual choice for a new dining concept. The service at Lafayette may be the most attentive in Miami. The waitstaff and runners demonstrated exceptional training and professionalism. Our expectations for the food were high, but the results were mixed. We ordered a variety of dishes including steak tartare, crab cake, Caesar salad, fries, corn, broccolini, ribeye, and filet steak. While the seasoning on the steaks was excellent, the meat itself was tougher than expected and carried a slight grass-fed taste, which isn't to everyone's liking. I will try the veal chop on my next visit. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the wine program, curated by the excellent sommelier, Higor Valle. We were fortunate to have him guide us through a beautifully paired wine journey during our meal. The cocktails from the bar were also spot on. In conclusion, Lafayette is a welcome new addition to the Brickell dining scene. The exceptional service and wine expertise make it a worthwhile experience compared to some of the other steakhouses in the area.

My recent dining experience at Lafayette Steak House in Miami was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the soothing live performances from a talented singer and a skilled pianist, creating an amazing vibe that set the tone for a memorable evening. We started our meal with freshly baked bread that was delightfully warm and soft. The beef carpaccio was a standout appetizer, perfectly seasoned and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The tableside Caesar salad was both a visual and culinary delight, prepared with fresh ingredients and a rich, creamy dressing. For the main course, we indulged in the prime Angus beef skirt steak and ribeye, both cooked to perfection. Each bite was flavorful and succulent, complemented beautifully by three different sauces that added a delightful variety to the meal. Our drinks were expertly crafted by the talented bartender, Harry and Karla. Although I can’t recall the names of the two unique cocktails we enjoyed, I vividly remember their perfect balance of flavors. Additionally, the “What a Wonderful World” cocktail was a refreshing and delightful surprise. The service was impeccable. Our server Jonas was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring we had everything we needed. His assistant Tayler was outstanding, constantly on top of every detail, making sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Manager Paul also checked in with us during our meal, adding a personal touch to the exceptional service we received. Overall, Lafayette Steak House offers not just a meal, but a complete dining experience. From the exquisite food and drinks to the outstanding service and live entertainment, it was an evening to remember. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience in Miami.

The BEST interior, atmosphere, and service I’ve ever had in Miami. The manager, waiters, and chef were all very attentive and actually took the time to connect with us as guests beyond the food. Also, the live piano set us over the top! We felt like we were transported into an old romantic, classy movie film from the minute we walked in. As far as food, we ordered the caviar deviled eggs, boneless ribeye, black truffle creamed corn, whipped potatoes, and apple tartin for dessert. Each dish definitely displayed the French cuisine flavor beautifully without everything tasting the same. We even took pictures in different areas of the restaurant after dinner and never felt out of place or looked at in a weird way. I could write an essay on this place because it isn’t just a well designed place with mediocre food and decent service as many places in Miami, MUST TRY !!

I dined at Lafayette last night and had the best time! From the food to the service... truly impeccable. Loulou was our server and went above and beyond explaining the dishes recommending wine pair with our meal. I cannot wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! Highly recommend Lafayette and Loulou!

I had the pleasure of attending a work event at the Lafayette Miami for the first time this past Saturday, and it was an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the gorgeous decor. The ambiance is both elegant and cozy. After the event, we headed upstairs to the bar and were lucky enough to meet their incredible bartender, Harry. He was not only highly skilled but also incredibly sweet and friendly. His warm personality made our evening even more enjoyable. If you visit, be sure to ask for Harry – he’s fantastic!

I felt like I was in an old school chicago mobster movie. The scenery and atmosphere was amazing. The food was beyond delicious and the service was spectacular. I don’t like fis, but the sea bass here was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted.

I highly recommend the new Lafayette Steakhouse in the old El Tucan spot in Brickell. This two story steakhouse has a sophisticated old school 1940s Hollywood interior design that brings style and class. From the minute you walk in, you feel classic vibe surround the chic decor. More importantly, the food is top notch! We ordered the tuna tartare for an appetizer and is we by far the best I've ever had. In fact it was so good we ordered two! The Sea Bass and Skirt steak with fries and broccoli was the entree and both were perfectly cooked and perfection. To cap it off, we had the cookie and the strawberry cheesecake, which was one of the best I've ever had. The service was very attentive and very quick to attend to our needs. Glad to have Lafayette as a great addition to the Brickell dining scene!

I was very excited to try Lafayette Steakhouse Miami. The pictures looked beautiful and the entire booking process made it feel very upscale and nice. We dined on a Thursday night, relatively early. When we arrived we were greeted by the hostess and promptly seated. The restaurant is very pretty and has a very sexy vibe. It is dark and there is jazzy music playing. As the evening progressed there was live piano music. The service was good and everyone was attentive and helpful. The server made several recommendations from drinks to food options. The tuna tartare appetizer was delicious however, it was very small. Their bread and butter were delicious however small and it came with a cost. For dinner I ordered the veal chop. It was also small as well as overcooked. I had requested medium and it was definitely well done. For dessert we had the apple dessert and the chocolate and peanut butter dessert. The presentation was nice but the taste was average. All in all the experience was nice. The prices were on the high side for what we ate. I also found that they had many requests of the guest but they were not really enforced. They request men wear jackets or dress shirts and there were several people without jackets and wearing casual Shirts and slacks. I probably would not return to dinner here. Miami has excellent restaurants at a much lower price point.

Dined here on wednesday night, and had a superb experience. Yes, the restaurant is expensive (hello, Miami) but they definitely make it worth your while with the experience. Everything we tried was delicious, and the service from everyone (and I truly mean everyone) was top notch and super attentive. While some other "hip" Miami restaurants are purposely rude to make themselves appear exclusive, the staff at Lafayette was amazing, kind and polite at all times. Anthony was an wonderful waiter and had great recommendations. We tried a lot of dishes, among our favorite were the beef carpaccio, the fried chicken, seabass, and creamed corn.
