Review for Lafayette Steak House, Miami
My wife and I kicked off our date night at Lafayette around 7:30, just in time for happy hour, and we were immediately captivated by the restaurant's ambiance. The decor transported us back to a 1920s speakeasy, complete with ornate floral arrangements, vintage paintings, and a charming baby grand piano near the bar.
The drink selection was impressive, featuring an array of wines and mixed drinks at very reasonable prices. We also indulged in a variety of appetizers that were nothing short of spectacular. The hamburger sliders were incredibly delicious, and the tuna tartare topped with caviar was a standout dish.
After enjoying our time at the bar, we moved to a table, where the impeccable service continued. The staff was professional and attentive, enhancing our dining experience. For our main courses, we ordered the filet mignon and the bronzino. The bronzino was cooked to perfection—light, flaky, and simply melted in the mouth. The filet mignon was tender with a delightful light crust; it was truly on another level—Chef’s kiss!
We also tried the macaroni and cheese, which was excellent, adding to our overall enjoyment. Both my wife and I found our experience to be beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Lafayette Steak House, even if you're on a budget. The happy hour offers fantastic value, allowing you to enjoy a great meal with equally great drinks.
Five stars!
