The 14 Best Pizzas In London

"If it’s good enough for Julia Roberts in Eat Pray Love, then it’s good enough for us. This Soho restaurant is one of two London branches of the famous pizza shop in Naples, and serves tasty Neapolitan pizzas with the perfect ratio of marinara to cheese. You can get them topped with whole balls of burrata, or king prawns and fresh mussels, but our favourite is the margherita with buffalo cheese. The pizzas are simple, with lightly charred crusts and a puddle of tomato sauce in the middle. With two levels and cushioned seating, it’s the kind of spot you’ll happily spend a couple of hours in." - rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna

L'antica Pizzeria da Michele

"This is one of the oldest and best pizzerias in Naples. Founded in 1870, Da Michele issues numbered tickets to diners to ensure that the restaurant doesn’t get too busy. It doesn’t take long to make your choice: the only two pizzas served are the marinara (tomato, origan and garlic) and margherita (tomato and mozzarella). Open 10am-11pm." - Michelin Inspector

Absolutely worth the wait — even if it’s a long one! My tip: go around 12 PM, when the line is shorter — we were seated inside within 10 minutes. The interior is spacious and keeps an authentic, slightly old-school charm that adds to the local feel. And the pizza was incredible. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, the mozzarella was perfect, but the highlight was the beautifully leopard-spotted dough — soft, chewy, and full of character. The portion size was huge (even larger than the plate!), and for the price, it’s an amazing deal. The inside is also pleasantly cool — a huge plus on a hot Neapolitan day — though it does make the mozzarella firm up a little faster. One thing I missed was a house wine option; it would’ve complemented the meal perfectly. Bottom line: a must-try spot in Naples.

Google
We ordered Margarita and Marinara — you can definitely taste the delicious tomato sauce and olive oil. Each costs €6, and the taste is truly amazing. However, you need to wait in line. If you want take-away, you still have to join the queue. If you want to dine inside, you first need to get a queue number from the staff at the door, then follow the number display and go in when it’s your turn — but you will be waiting in the same line.

Google
Gotta try this when in Napoli. The restaurant is unassuming, simple and no frills. We got here early morning just after opening to avoid the queue. There are only seatings indoors and quite tight. There are only 4 pizza choices: Marinara, Cossoca, Margharita and Marita (combo of marinara and margharita). Very reasonably riced at 6 euros a piece. Simple drinks menu(not a lot) but this makes it different from the others because they sell simple, no frills, hand made Italian pizzas. Staffs were helpful, and pizza sizes only come in 1 size… big! The plate it comes out with although already large, still the pizza is larger! The pizza sauces were delicious and generous and the crust thin. With the size of pizza, you will never ever come out of the restaurant hungry, you probably won’t eat anything for the rest of the day! It’s a good social place, there’s are pictures of celebrities like Jude Law and Julia Roberts and others hanging off the wall. Pram and wheelchair a bit tight and has steps, so maybe stay in the ground floor seatings. The place was just heaving around lunchtime queuing to come in so come early. Def a must when in Napoli.

We arrived at 9:20pm and queued for roughly 40 minutes to order, then waited another 10 to receive the food. The atmosphere in the outside queue is a great time however what we could see of the inside, it had sterile over head lighting and people packed in like sardines. The pizza itself was a big portion and for only €6, when taking the fame of the shop, is an incredible deal. It was delivered piping hot and the tomato sauce has a great flavour however the mozzarella is incredibly rubbery and it is swimming in oil and water which makes it hard to pick up and eat. Overall, we were a little disappointed.

Google
I was told Da Michele's Pizzeria is the best in Naples — and possibly the best pizza in the world. So, I took a bullet train from Rome just to find out... and wow, it was 100% worth it. The pizza? Unreal. Perfectly thin, piping hot, simple yet flavorful — the kind that makes you pause after the first bite. You can taste the tradition and quality in every slice. The staff were friendly, fun, and full of energy, which made the experience even better. If you're in Italy and love pizza, make the trip. Da Michele’s isn’t just a meal — it’s a bucket list experience.

Google
Amazing traditional pizza place! If you want to live the authentic Napoli pizza this is def the place, pizza is good, there’s always line but it’s fast, once inside even though is full they will take the time to attend you well without rush, staff is kind and friendly. Pizza is amazing, definitely a place not to miss

Best Margherita pizza I’ve ever had in my life! We were seated right away with no wait, and the pizza was ready in just 10 minutes. Simple, fast, and unbelievably delicious. A must-visit in Naples!

You know a place is iconic when it has a crowd outside before it even opens—and yes, Da Michele absolutely lives up to its legendary status. We rolled in late, fully expecting to get the “kitchen’s closing” glare, but nope—pizza came out fast like they knew we needed that doughy salvation. And wow, was it worth it. Yes, it’s saucier than your average Neapolitan pizza (prepare for a little delicious mess), but it totally works. The sauce is rich, vibrant, and practically dances on the dough. And that dough? Chewy, pillowy, and full of flavor—like it took a nap in olive oil and came back enlightened. Only two options on the menu (marinara or margherita), and honestly, that’s all you need. They’ve mastered simplicity and nailed the execution. Final verdict: Legendary for a reason. Fast, flavorful, and comforting in the best way. Come for the history, stay for the chew. Bonus: it’s so saucy, your shirt gets a free souvenir.

Yelp
I was walking around with my significant other and we stumbled upon this place. We were hungry and figured it was worth a try. We walked inside. We were able to sit wherever we wanted, so that was a good start. The menu was on the table. It was limited, so I figured they focused on certain items to bring top quality. From the Pizze section, we went with the * Marinara. The Marinara/6€ was pomodoro, origano, aglio, olio, which was tomato, oregano, garlic, oil. The Marinara came out fast. It was large in my opinion. I loved it. It was enough for both of us. The service was fast and friendly. I didn't have any issues. Overall, this place was an excellent stop. The price was cheap. Yelp
I wanted pizza not chewing gum!!!!!! Very rubbery cheese and tbh it was ok but their pizza tasted like every other pizza place in a 50 mile radius. 1 hr wait too fr

Yelp
While this place is pretty touristy, its definitely worth it! We swung by around 6PM with no wait. There's two doors - one for two levels of seating and the other for primarily take away. It's mostly self-seating and the waiter comes over immediately, so be ready with your order. There are only 4 options on the menu, so it's not that stressful anyway. We tried the margherita. The pizza came out within 10 minutes. Everyone seems to order a pizza for themselves, but it's definitely a sizeable portion. The style of pizza is very different than American classics, and the concept of well-done doesn't exist. We knew this going in, so no surprises there. The quality of ingredients is simple, good, and fresh. The tomato sauce is so light and airy. The dough is perfectly cooked and delicious. It's a little difficult to cut and eat, but the pizza is just so good, and all for 8 euro (including coperto). Loved it, would come back!!

Yelp
Best pizzas in Naples! Worth the hype! This was recommended by the locals to us and we did some research...so much reviews on google 81K! Lots of great reviews on it. Although we didn't have time to go in since it was far from our hotel, we ordered online for delivery. We got the margherita and Blanca neopolitan pizzas. Both were delicious. We love the sauce which was very unique and not like all the other pizzas we tried. The Blanca was perfect. Garlicky but a bit oily. We love the dough...light and fluffy. Ambiance is casual.

Yelp
We came on a rainy day, the line is still long. But we noticed there are some empty tables inside, not sure if it is all for marketing!? This is a 2nd pizza shop that we tried in Napoli.. We are not big fans of any kind of pizza but we like the thin and chewy crust of Napoli pizza. Some Americans doesn't like it, I totally understand, I also doesn't like Americans pizza :-p But to be fair, we shouldn't compare the two styles in order to give the ratings. Anyway, we think the Margherita is lacking some tomato sauce, and the flavor of the basil is not strong. We like the other pizza place more. We came here because of all the recommendations. I agree with other reviewers said that they only ask tourists for tips which makes me feel uncomfortable. I gave 10% not because of the service but because of the pressure.

Yelp
Ambiance: it's one of the most popular pizza restaurants in Naples, and I think it's overrated and not worth the waiting, and the basement seating is hot and humid Service: they have lines for walk-ins and takeout, make sure you stand in the right one, for dine-in experience, you have to grab a number first, and wait for your number being called, and either for assigned seating in the original store or the newer one across the street, the waitress was very disorganized and inefficient to place the order Food & Drink: very simple menu for pizza, few options for drinks MARGHERITA - *** pomodoro, fior di latte, olio, basilico tomato, fior di latte cheese, oil, basil, soggy and undercooked MARINARA - **** pomodoro, origano, aglio, olio tomato, oregano, garlic, oil, recommend COSACCA - *** pomodoro, pecorino, olio, basilico tomato, pecorino cheese, oil, basil, average MARITA - *** half Margherita and half Marinara PERONI - *** bottled beer Price: very cheap prices, and generous portions, expect around €10 per person

Yelp
This has all the makings of a great pizza place and then disappoints. Hear me out. The first few bites of any pizza here are magic. They're piping hot fresh chewy bites that ooze flavor as good as anything you could ask for on a pizza. However, once this pie settles down and becomes closer to room temp things change. The cheese congeals, the burnt dough ends becomes peppery dry ash (like burnt tasting charcoal flakes), and the oil becomes a film. Those traits, especially the objectively burnt taste of the ash bits are off putting. It's also annoying when staff asks for tips after doing nothing but putting a pizza in front of me. That's not how tipping works. It's also not a thing in Europe. There aren't many seats inside so come early or on off hours and days. Overall I think this is a fantastic example of a famous place riding the marketing of their name and not the quality of their product.

Yelp
This was our first stop from the airport and it did not disappoint! We arrived shortly after opening meaning we got seated at a table inside pretty immediately. This was a nice surprise as we just assumed that the lane would be enormous and we'd have to eat our pizza to go/standing outside. Service was excellent and friendly. My husband and I had Margherita pizzas and they were fantastic! This more soupy/messy kind of pizza is not my personal favorite but o still really enjoyed it. All the ingredients were so fresh and the flavors came together perfectly. Definitely worth the hype!

Yelp
Cheap, tasty and efficient pizza. Napoli style, but said to be one of the best in Naples. Very big sizes, yet 6 euros per pizza.

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere at first was a little chaotic thought we would wait long but not at all, quick service!! The pizza was also chefs kiss !!!

Yelp
The Neapolitan pizza purists are gonna come after me for this but... I have to say, I think this place is a bit overrated, although I know it is a classic in Naples. First of all, there is usually a pretty lengthly wait because of the popularity. The way it works is you get there and a guy will give you a ticket number and you wait outside until your number is called. Luckily (or unluckily) for me, it was raining when I went, so although I had to wait in the rain, the wait was only about 15 min. After getting in, I was excited to see what the hype was about. I then found out that the menu literally only has 4 pizza options... I guess they really keep things simple here. I ended up getting the cosacca pizza, which is a classic Neapolitan pizza with a tomato base with pecorino cheese and basil on top. To be completely honest, it wasn't bad at all, but it also wasn't particularly great. I mean, it was just a bit... plain. Also, I felt like there wasn't actually that much cheese on there. The interior has very casual vibes and the service speed is fast (likely because of the limited menu). The staff are okay friendliness. Overall, if you want to come and try for the sake of trying this famous establishment, then I can't fault you. But I just want to ensure that your expectations are set properly - expect a wait and don't expect anything fancy or particularly amazing.

Yelp
Full disclosure: like any sane person that values their time - being forced to wait in a line to a 'trendy' spot - whether it's the Limelight (where my NYC club kids at?!) back in the 90's or at some 'hip' bakery for a thing called a 'cronut' that debuted over a decade ago... it's going to make me a bit cranky. But the Mrs. mentioned "the best pizza in Naples!" so we strolled over here to find... lines. (As in - more than one.) We went to the longer one (takeaway) and... waited. (Those that say the lines move quickly are fibbing, just a heads up.) 45+ minutes (easily) just to place an order another 30+ to finally receive our food... sun going down, the lunatics driving up and down the street (which is a one-way, mind you) in front, could it ever be worth the hype? (Nope.) Poorly cut. Messy as all heck. Barely even hot. And what should count the most - the taste of the actual pizza - was just sorely lacking. No napkins provided (European thing, I know). Bottles of soda aren't twist-off (so you can attempt to open it using the curb or lip of a garbage can - which we witnessed, or you need to venture back to the restaurant to ask to use their opener). Trust me - each and every infraction really hits when you have famished teenagers with zero patience. If this is really the best this (overpopulated) city has to offer... I'm not that bummed we were only in Naples for two days. (And the residents here wouldn't even know how to handle truly spectacular pizza - like Razza in Jersey City in NJ.)

Yelp
My kind of pizza. Came to Naples for their pizza and I was not let down. Love the dough, the sauce, cheese and how it's cooked. FYI there's usually a wait. Stand to the left of the crowd for a table number. Or make the queue on the right for a Togo pizza. There's some spots close by to get a spritz while you wait. Love this pizza. Worth the wait.
google avatar

Brent F.

Yelp
World famous and arguably the best pizza in the world but it didn't live up to such lofty expectations for me. The wait can be long and for those going the first time if you want to eat inside you go to the front and ask for the number, the line on the side is for take out. Also if you want to do take out you can actually do pickup or get it delivered you can use a local food app which I did the first time and got the food in 20 minutes and much faster than those in line waiting. Nostalgia and history 5/5 Price 5/5 Taste 3.5/5 The pizza was good but I found the cheese quite chewy which is not something I have found with classic margarita pizzas, the cheese is usually soft. The sauce and the dough were good but overall I really wasn't wowed by this pizza, maybe my expectations were too high, maybe they have gotten so busy that they changed the recipe a bit? They let you do half and half which lets you try with cheese and without. I do think it's still worth a visit if you are in Napoli but it may not end up being the best pizza you ever had or have so maybe come in with more balanced expectations but it's an overall worthwhile experience. I also went twice to rule out that it might have just been a bad day and the food was consistent.
google avatar

Jodie M.

Yelp
Amazing and cheap Neopolitan pizza! My favorite would have to be the Margherita over the Marinara. For 6 euros, you have a massive thin crust pizza. Come early because they get busy! As you may know, it has been popularized by Julia Roberts' Eat Pray Love hence its notoriety. I was in Naples for a tour of the Amalfi Coast and our tour guide said it's just a hype and not the best there is. However, I have nothing to compare it to. All I can vouch for is that it tastes superb for the price, and not a tourist trap at all. Plenty of seating because they have another building if the other fills up. You can also have the pizzas to go :)

Yelp
Naples is known as the birthplace of pizza. While Da Michele is not the oldest pizzeria around here, it certainly is the most popular. We landed in Naples that evening and made our way to the pizzeria for our first meal in Italy. It was a Friday night at around 9:10 and there was a massive crowd outside of the restaurant. Most of the people crowding around were waiting for their table, or for a takeaway order. If you want a table, you just need to head straight inside to get a number. Unfortunately, they were done with tables for the night (even though they close at 11), so we ended up hopping on the takeaway line. We waited about 40 minutes to order and another 20 minutes to get our food. Takeaway says it's open until 11:30 but I noticed they stopped accepting orders at 10, so maybe they ran out of ingredients. So if you have your heart set on trying this place, make sure you go earlier. We went with the classic margherita and at €5.50, you really can't go wrong. We ate it standing outside of the restaurant, which I recommend, as opposed to taking it back to your hotel because it comes out piping hot from the brick oven, and you definitely want to eat it while it's hot and fresh. The ingredients tasted fresh/high quality and the pizza was great, but was it worth an hour wait? I don't think so. I'm sure there are plenty of great Neapolitan pizza spots in Naples where you won't have to wait so long. I'm glad I got to try it but if I were to visit Naples again, the only way I'd visit Da Michele again is if there was no wait.

Yelp
Undoubtedly the best pizza I've ever eaten!!! First things first, the guy at the entrance who controls the crowd is my guy!!! Listen, Napoli folks are misunderstood. Many friends told me, "they're rude", "they're mean" and other things, but after seeing them in person I completely disagree. So back to guy. The guy stands in the front. People walk up to him and just stare and then he yells at them "eat here or takeaway?" Then the person says something other than those two words and starts asking a question, then he retorts, "eat here or takeaway?" It's a simple question. Once you tell him one of the choices, he gives you number or directs you to the takeaway line. It's pretty simple. That's why I think it's important to watch and observe before you go embarrass yourself. Hahaha. Anyway, after we got our number called to eat in, we got our table and ordered from the easy to order menu which consists of three choices. The OG Margherita and the other two. We only came for the OG. It was magical! It was as good as the big mouthed actress, and hooker actor Julia Roberts describes in Eat, Pray, Love. The location is in a small street area that gets super packed with people which results in cars honking for you to get out of the way, but nevertheless the location is special. While you wait, there will be people from other restaurants that will try to get you to eat their pizza and while it might be good, it's not this locations good. Definitely must have while in Napoli.
google avatar

Char B.

Yelp
Takeaway guy is rude, and people just smoke in line blowing smoke in your face. I left and went somewhere else.
google avatar

Carlos M.

Yelp
If you are American you are not going to like their pizza. Their style is very different from what we are used to. Basically their pizza is a very, very thin dough with tomato sauce and a few spec of cheese. The texture and flavor may disappoint you. They have only three ingredients. You me go ahead and try it if you want.

Irina D.

Yelp
Best Margherita pizza I've ever had in my life! We were seated right away with no wait, and the pizza was ready in just 10 minutes. Simple, fast, and unbelievably delicious. A must-visit in Naples!

Yelp
Miracles happen. Let them happen. Why look a gift horse in the mouth? A worthy experience. I thought I'd have to wait longer. Great amazing food. Super classic. Sitting next to the oven feel the heat of nostalgia wash over you like the virtue that you always are.
google avatar

Trinity F.

Yelp
I changed my mind on thin crust pizza after eating here. I don't get how they make the dough so thin! This was hands down one of the best pizzas I've ever had. The tomato sauce was rich, the cheese tasted so fresh, and I didn't feel unhealthily full after eating! The flavor literally lives in my head rent free and I really want to get it again. There is a long wait though; after all, it's recommended on the Michelin app as well. I think it's worth it though! The servers are also very kind to tourists. Overall, I would love to go back again; the pizza is definitely a must-have when visiting Naples!!
google avatar

Christopher D.

Yelp
Definitely the best pizza I had in Naples, the prices were super cheap for great thin pizza. They also just opened more spacing for seating next door. The service was excellent and the waiter was super friendly.
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place out because it was recommended by many people. Waited about an hour for 2 pizzas: Margherita and Marinara. Hoping the wait was worth the hype and you guessed it... It was not... The margherita pizza was ok, but nothing special. The Marinara pizza was awful... it tasted like weed and did not appreciate how charred the crust was. Was definitely over charred. There are definitely better pizza places near by. Not worth the wait or hype.
google avatar

Tiffany K.

Yelp
The pizza was amazing! The wait time is very long, and best for smaller groups. There are limited pizza options: * Marinara * Marinara Extra * Cosacca * Marita
google avatar

Yelp
Best pizza in Naples thinnest crust great service great location they have a michele star pizza you have too try .

Yelp
4.5/5 One of the most famous pizzerias in the world, would it lived up to the hype?? I had to try it. So I have to say I am used to American pizza which has meats, and different toppings. Once you get used to Margherita or just accept the fact that you simply can't get toppings on your pizza you're on your way. The first time I passed by here there was a long line but I was heading somewhere else so no problem. When I finally went to eat, about 7:30PM I figured out the system, there were 2 lines one where you were given a number and waited to be seated and the takeout line. Since I was by myself I opted for takeout as the place I was staying at was only a 5 minute walk away. I was here in the offseason so it was mostly Neapolitans with just a couple of tourists so the wait for a table was about 45 minutes+ while I waited about 5 minutes to get inside to place my order and then waited 10-15 minutes or so to pick up my pizza. The menu is really simple only 4 different pizzas to choose from: Margherita- tomato, fior di latte cheese, oil, basil Marinara- tomato, oregano, garlic, oil Cosacca- tomato, pecorino cheese, oil, basil Marita- half Margherita and half Marinara I opted for the Margherita and Cosacca. While Italian pizza is meant to be eaten with a knife and fork, if it is cut into slices I am going to pick it up to eat it. Both pies were excellent, you can taste the fresh tomatoes and cheese. The crust is very thin (which is why you eat it with a knife and fork duh!) which is how I like my crust. At only €5,50 per pizza it makes it all that much better. I have been told that you should not wait in line too long for a pizza in Napoli because there is always another good pizzeria just around the corner. I would recommend waiting a little to try the pizza here because it really is that good, probably the 2nd best pizza I had in all of Italy. In fact, I ate here twice while in Napoli. I give it 4.5 stars out of 5, rounded up to 5.
google avatar

Marilou S.

Yelp
Since we are in Naples, we had to check out this restaurant because it was featured in my sister's favorite movie. Service was quick even though there was a line. They had a take a number system that seemed to work. We waited about 20 minutes to eat in. The takeaway line was much longer. Pizza was very tasty. There are no options for meat on the pizza. If you like wet pizza dough, then it's a place for you. I love thin crust pizza, but it was too soggy for me.
google avatar

Ally W.

Yelp
Oh. Mm. Gee. I think I found the best Pizza Margherita I have ever had. It's such a simple pizza, but with the best dough, tomato sauce, and Mozzarella, it is the best pizza. The lines are long for take-out, but moves pretty fast. Being seated and served may be faster. There are two storefronts that serve dine-in customers, and they constantly communicate with each other. Either way, you gotta try this!
google avatar

Yelp
First time in Naples so of course we had to go to the place that invented the Margherita pizza! Long lineup outside what looks to be a hole in the wall but after about 15 mins we were inside and sitting at the very table where Jude Law had his pizza! There are only two pizzas, Margherita and Marinara! We obviously got one of each! The pizza is thin crust wood oven baked with fresh mozzarella and basil garnish. You pick it up and told in half like the Italians to eat it! So simple yet so delicious and has a soft chew texture to it. The downside to eating here is the smokers can stand outside the door of the restaurant and the smoke blows in! I also found it a little brash to hold a tin with 'TIPS' written on it and being solicited by staff. It's not customary so don't feel you have to as they charge a sitting fee of 1-2 euros per person. We just round up to the nearest Euro on top of the bill. For us it's about 1 1/2 times our currency at the time of this review.

Yelp
Great experience. Very touristy but you have to try it once. Simple but tasty pizzas. The ambiance is great and the staff is prompt and friendly. This may be the one place in Italy were the waiter actually asks for a tip, so have a few euros ready. It is well deserved.

Yelp
Iconic spot for tasting pizza in a city where pizza was born. The line is long (easily greater than 2 hour wait) and the menu is short (4 items total), but talk about great value only ~5 euro per authentic pizza experience. Like most people, we pulled a ticket to wait for dine-in and waited in the take-out line as well, since we weren't sure which would get called first. Ultimately we ended up dining in which was super exciting -- the interior was more spacious than it looked on the outside. Clean and high ceilings with photos on the wall of celebrities who had ventured here in the past. Simple menu so can't possibly go wrong. The margherita was my favorite and went great with a glass of Coca Cola or cold beer. Cheers!

Yelp
The pizza was very good. But this is Napoli. It has to be. And so are many other places here. And taste is like beauty: it's in the eye of the beholder. We didn't particularly like the crust soggy and chewy. A bit of crunch would've been nice. But that's according to your taste. What surprised me was while paying at the front, the waiter came over with his hand open a foot away from me and said "service not included. Tips!" I looked at him for a split second and promptly gave over the change. It wasn't worth asking why they were asking, no, demanding, tips. We're here to have a good time. But that was a major turn off. I sure hope they don't import that awful American custom. It has really gotten out of hand in the US.

Yelp
High hopes tinged with trepidation that this could be overhyped. I see the long line ahead of me. I wait. I order. I wait. The pizza, hot and fresh, is in my hands. I take the first bite and wait for that moment of exultation. Then another, thinking somehow it didn't sink in the first time. Then realization- an utter let down. It was bland and oily. Where is the sweet tomato taste? And the cheese? Disappointment. Don't waste your time here.

Yelp
They definitely have a system figured out for the long lines. The pizza was so good and we would have returned again if we weren't so tired from our tours.

Yelp
This was stop two on our pizza tour of Naples...one of the famous spots for its appearance in the film Eat, Pray Love (My wife was 90% sure we were seated at the table depicted in the movie) serving up a few variations of traditional Neapolitan pizza. It lived up to our expectations. A few notes if you're new to getting pizza in Naples: 1) The pizzas here are meant to be eaten with a fork and knife. Yes, they're a little soggy in the middle and not quite as easy to eat with your hands as a traditional "American" slice of pizza. This is how it's done here. It's not a mistake. Adjust your expectations and enjoy the deliciousness of the assembled ingredients. 2) Here specifically, there's a long line to get pizza to go. If you want to dine in the restaurant, you grab a number and you'll see when your number comes up on the digital display. It takes less time than getting in the to go line. (in our experience.) Although this was stop 2, I'm writing this after we had many pizzas all over Naples and this was super good. My wife and I shared an off-menu variation of half margherita and half "Cosacca' without the pecorino (as we're vegetarians.) They already offer an on menu half and half (Margherita / Marinara) but we wanted the extra flavors and cheese that came on the Cosacca and our server told us it wouldn't be a problem. Their half and half was a little more 1/4 - 1/2 - 1/2 in how it looked, but it was really good. I mean really good and, although I can typically down an entire Neapolitan pizza, these were a little bigger than what we saw elsewhere and it was perfect for my wife and I to share. We also loved the simplicity of the menu. There are just 4 pizzas...three of them are vegetarian versions, and as mentioned, they were able to do half and half the way we wanted. Antica Pizzera Da Michele, besides the fact that many people come here just because it was in a movie, is real-deal, legitimate, among the best Neapolitan pizzas in town. It's worth any wait.

Yelp
The food was ok, the service not great. My husband enjoyed his caprese. My pizza was dry and hard to cut. The house wine was good. I would like to give them a 3.5. It was better than a three.

Yelp
I went to Italy on vacation and was in Naples and made getting neopolitian style pizza a priority. When I searched for the best pizza places in Naples this was at the top of the list, and for good reason. The lines were not too long, but they was certainly a wait, but it's worth it. The menu is very limited with only 3 basic options, a marina, traditional Margherita, a cosacca, or bald marina half Margherita. I got a Margherita and a cosacca, both were amazing. The service was good and relatively fast, and the place was clean. They had a good bit of seating for dining in, but you can order takeaway as well. The pizza is pretty big for a neopolitian style, but also very thin. I was surprised at how good the cosacca was given it's limited ingredients, but it did not disappoint. I wish I had more time in Naples to eat more pizza, there are pizzarias everywhere, but I'm glad I chose this place, and you will be too.

Yelp
Very traditional simple fast and feels like Napoli. Experience you can't have anywhere else. The line goes very quick

Yelp
10/10 this pizza is soooo worth the hype! We got two of the Margherita pizzas and the cheese on them was *chef's kiss* Somehow we got there mid afternoon at the perfect time when there were only a couple people seated and no wait time! Our pizza was made in probably less than 10 minutes fresh and it was as authentic as it comes! The vibe of the place was also very authentic, despite it being featured on a Julia Roberts hit, I got the sense it was family run by the banter of the people in the back that were making the pizza. Simple menu with outstanding pizza!

Yelp
Amazing food, reasonably priced, and cozy ambiance! We arrived on a Thursday at around 6pm local time, and didn't have to wait in a line since we requested our pizza for Take away. Ordered the Margherita pizza and it was only 5.50 Euros!!! And it was DELICIOUS. For a restaurant that was featured in 'Eat, Pray, Love", it's shocking that they still kept prices so reasonable and the quality of ingredients still phenomenal. I hope to come back next time, and anyone coming to Napoli should not miss out on this spot!

Yelp
Waited an hour for the pizza and it was very good pizza however I don't know if it's so much better than other pizzas that make it worth waiting over an hour just to get the pizza for takeaway! Id only go again if the line didn't look out of control. Other pizza nearby is good as well with a fraction of the wait. I still say you should go at least once to make your own determination if it's worth the wait.

Yelp
If you aren't accustomed to high quality pizza in your city, L'Antica Pizzeria Da Michele is going to taste pretty amazing. A world famous pizzeria that were featured in a movie (Eat Pray Love). There is usually a line. There is a line for take out order and a separate line if you can collect a number if you want to sit down. We went with the take out approach. The wait, order and picking up the pizza took roughly 30 minutes. This could vary depending on crowd size. There is only 3 options regarding pizza. We got the classic margherita and mariana. Pizza was pretty good. No complaints. It's worth a try. An overall positive experience.

Yelp
Mama Mia! We were very fortunate to spend a few weeks in the Mediterranean and pizza in Naples was one of our planned culinary experiences. We used Yelp to find this outstanding authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurants. We got here around 11:30am and there was already a long line. awe opted to get two carry out margarita pizzas and it really didn't take too long. Maybe 20 minutes we found a street vendor down the street who gave us a table if we purchased drinks from him. Perfect! We ordered 4 Peroni Beers and opened the boxes. The pizza was delicious! Excellent! What a great experience to get pizza in Naples, Italy...the birthplace of PIZZA! . eccellente! Ciao!

Yelp
Best Napoli Pizza Hands Down. We have a L' Antica in Santa Barbara in Southern California. We have eaten there 3 or 4 times. We couldn't wait to compare the US version vs Naples. Hands down Naples is the winner. Not even close We will be back soon.

Yelp
Not what you expect. Disappointing. Perhaps like everyone we were so excited to be in Napoli and try the pizza. We decided to dine in and the wait was about 30 minutes. Ordered two pizzas with beer, they are 5 euro each. The pizza was soggy and don't have much taste. We couldn't believe it. Perhaps an off night, shouldn't be for a place that people travel the world to get to... This opinion was from all 4 of us.

Yelp
The classic! Do you need to go here? Yes. Will the pizza change your life? Probably not. It's a small, super casual spot, but the waiters are quick and friendly and the pizza comes to you piping hot.

Yelp
In Naples, where pizza began! This is the second oldest pizzeria in Naples, and the pizza is OUTSTANDING! Get there early...the wait gets longer as the day progresses. The dine-in restaurant opened at 11:00---we were already #39! We opted for the take-away line, which opens at 11:30. We waited in line for about 15-20 minutes before placing our order of 2 Margherita pizzas; the pizzas took about 30 minutes. It was well-worth the wait! One pizza is perfect for two people. We were lucky to find a little table on the street about a block away to enjoy our Neapolitan pizzas with some cold Peroni beer! This was probably the best pizza I've ever had!!!

Yelp
This hot spot is known as the best pizza in the Napoli (Naples), and we've been lucky enough to visit here twice. Our first visit was 5 years ago and it was amazing, which is what brought us here a 2nd time during our commute from Rome to Sorrento. Unfortunately, this 2nd visit happen proven that this icon pizzeria has fallen victim to its popularity because the quality is not what I remember and the service (to simply place a to-go order) was very intolerable and not worth the hour and 40 mins I waited to place the order, and another 25 mins for the pizza ready to take. There were approx 14-16 people in line ahead of me. They only have 3 pizza options which I totally understand. High volume of pizza making requires quick and simple options. We ordered the Margherita. The pizza was about the size of a medium in the US, are made in a wood burning oven, and cost 5.5 euros. Very affordable. The crust is super light and airy...to a fault because when you attempt to pickup a slice it's extremely limp and the cheese literally slide right off. I recommend and I'm convinced it's meant to be eaten with a knife and fork. Since ours was to-go we had no knife and fork available. The crust could have been the star of the show if it was cooked another few minutes to give it any kind of stability. Overall the pizza was pretty bland and the cheese quality was mediocre. I've had amazing pizza in Italy and the US that far surpasses what you will get here. I gave it 3 stars as the average from my first visit to my 2nd, and last visit. On the bright side, YELP is totally represented on their front door.
