"This Alpharetta restaurant prides itself on “hyper-seasonal food,” but the menu's heart stays true to its identity as a steakhouse. Start with a blue crab gratin or a modern wedge salad with everything seasoning and house bacon, then carry on to the usual filet, strip, porterhouse, Delmonico ribeye, or something different, like hanger steak or skirt steak au poivre. Pepper fans, pair the latter with roasted cauliflower au poivre; traditionalists, try the frites royale with steak jus. Reservations highly encouraged." - Su-Jit Lin

"Prime cuts of beef and fish flown in from the Gulf and East Coast help define Lapeer as one of the nicest places to dine in downtown Alpharetta, both in terms of food and ambiance. Come here for a meal to splurge on some of the finest steaks and seafood in the area, or opt for a double-stack, chuck blend smashburger for a more affordable option. Start with some oysters, salt and pepper calamari, or wagyu beef tartare, before moving on to scallops and risotto or prime New York strip served with all the accouterments." - Alex Leo-Guerra

"Lapeer Seafood Market, from the team behind South Main Kitchen and Butcher & Brew, is now open at Alpharetta City Center. Chef Blake Hartley plans to change the menu daily, which includes fresh-made pastas and highlights in-season, line-caught fish, octopus, East Coast and Gulf oysters, Alabama crab, and tuna from Louisiana. The bar features over 100 mezcals, available for making cocktails or in one- or two-ounce pours. The interiors of the 3,000-square-foot restaurant are light and airy with a black-and-white theme and pops of pink and greenery. Right now, Lapeer Seafood Market is only open for dinner. The restaurant hopes to add lunch and a weekend brunch within a few weeks after opening." - Erin Perkins

Always 10/10! This is our go to place for an excellent steak and a nice date night. We usually both get a ribeye (plenty of leftovers for the next day). We get it topped with one of their butters (our fav is the truffle butter). I also love their shells and cheese and you can’t forget their delicious shoe string fries. We got their chocolate cake this last time and it will now be added to our usual order because it was amazing.

Love this place. What’s funny to me is, when I came here the first time (before they were truly a steakhouse) I ordered the only steak on the menu, and I hated it. Didn’t come back for a year +. Met a buddy for drinks here a while back and had dinner, and I crave it ever since. Richard runs the bar and is fantastic. Their food is unreal, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Their beef carpaccio is terrific, their shrimp toast is amazing. Drinks are excellent wife loves their seafood. Slam dunk. Only downside is the music can sometimes be played a bit loud on some evenings, but usually not. Love this place.

Hello Fellow Foodies, I’m leaving this review in hopes to help bring awareness to the false advertising in pricing and wording of the menu at “Lapeer “. Let me start by saying, I am a salad customer at every restaurant I go to. It’s what I order, always! When ordering a salad it’s common for a menu to clearly advertise the price of additional proteins someone can choose to add to their salad choice. When looking at this menu, I clearly see an additional add on suggestion made by the restaurant for “cold lobster “ not realizing the 3oz of cold lobster was actually going to be charged $29 additional dollars, which is actually the cost of the “warm butter lobster” advertised on the menu at Lapeer steak and seafood. I found out when the bill came that I was in fact charged $46 for a salad. After bringing this to the waiters attention, I realized nothing was gonna be done about this except allowing me to speak to the manager. When the manager came over without the bill or a menu to discuss the issue, I had to request to look over the menu with the manager and point out the fact, that there was not an advertised priced for cold lobster . The manager insisted on informing me that this is an unfortunate situation because of inflation and what the prices for lobster is. After reviewing the menu a little further with the manager and explaining how the advertise price was misleading, where in fact, there is no advertise price on the menu for cold lobster it would be absolutely impossible for anyone to realize, they would charge an additional $29 on top of the $16 for a salad. The manager refused to remove the lobster and made a slight adjustment to the bill. While the manager was doing that the waiter came over, leaned down to me and said, with an extremely insulting tone “did you really think you would get a salad for $16 with lobster”. Shocked by this approach from the waiter I agreed $16 for a salad with lobster was not what I would be expecting to pay however $46 was not a realistic price either especially considering, there is no advertise price for cold lobster anywhere on the menu so for anyone to be able to clearly understand what they are asking for and what the final price would be is absolutely absurd. Because they refused to address The discrepancy on their menu, I reassured them. I would be leaving this review to help further customers be more aware of the false advertisement they refuse to address. I hope this review helps someone better understand what they will be walking into when choosing to visit this establishment.

Loved this place! We had heard it was good but it’s beautiful inside and the food was delicious! We got the calamari to start and the flavors were unique and paired so well together. I got the seafood pasta and it was so good and my husband got the burger and he raved about it. I loved the espresso martini! It has a frozen whipped top that made it extra special. We will definitely be back! Perfect for date night or birthday

We ate here Saturday night. We were looking to try some place new and glad we did. Sits in downtown Alpharetta and has a very laid back atmosphere. We each had a few cocktails and their list is plentiful. For an appetizer we got the shrimp toast and it was very good. Highly rec that dish. For our mains the wife got the scallops and rissoto. I sampled one of the scallops and they were very good. I got the 7 oz Filet topped with crab meat and it was very good and honestly looked a lot bigger than 7 oz. We ordered the large asparagus as a side and it was really good. We enjoyed this place a lot and will def be back if we are in this area. Wonderful service as well. Our waitress was very good. If you enjoyed this review please be sure to hit the like button.

Google
Great food and great atmosphere. Our cocktails were also great and the rolls they have are amazing! Also, they give you homemade carmels with your bill that are amazing! Our server, Sam, was amazing! Highly reccomend

Google
We are in town for a week and looked for a good Steakhouse and found one! Wedge salad, calamari, Hangar steak w shrimp and lobster shrimp fettuccine.. Amazing! My only complaint is the noise... So so so loud we couldn't even hear each other from across the table.

Google
My husband took me to Lapeer for my birthday and it was just fantastic! We started with the rolls, which were warm and so good, and then had their shrimp toast as an appetizer, also good. He ordered a beef pasta dish that was exactly what he wanted (with handmade pasta)and I had the lobster and shrimp risotto. Very delicious!! I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and my husband had an Old Fashioned. For dessert we had the chocolate cake and it was well balanced. Not too sweet, but decadent for sure. Our server, Nichol, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We enjoyed chatting with her. We loved the atmosphere in the restaurant and want to return to sit and try out the cool vibe at the bar sometime. It was a little expensive, but worth it and we will definitely be back.

Yelp
We visited on Christmas Eve, and everything we ordered was excellent. The only downside was the service as our waiter seemed to forget about our table at times.

Carly R.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We got the rib eye and it was cooked perfectly. Could not say anything negative about any of the sides either. Our waitress Jules was great. She answered anything we had questions about and made sure we had everything we needed. The space was beautiful and unique for Alpharetta.

Yelp
My husband and I popped in tonight on a whim and had dinner at the bar. The bartender was great! The food was terrible. I had the braised beef pappardelle. The beef was cubed in tiny pieces and tasted like refrigerated grocery store beef. My husband had the lobster and shrimp risotto...and...there was little to no actual risotto. It was more like a creamy soup and it was barely room temperature. It wasn't very busy for a Thursday night in downtown Alpharetta. That was the sign we unfortunately ignored. Two cocktails, two entrees, and a soup - $170 including the tip. We will not be back. Don't be fooled by the building aesthetics!!! Spend your time, money, and date night somewhere else!

Yelp
The food was excellent! The service was a 10. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had a wonderful meal and time ! First the bread was delicious !!! Appetizers we shared calamari and shrimp cocktail. Main meal some had the trout, the salmon and scallops all were great! Dessert we shared the 10 layer chocolate cake which was very moist and yummy! I would give this restaurant a 10!

Yelp
Don't understand the negative reviews. I've eaten here several times and had strong service and delicious food. I trend toward the seafood side of the menu, and for what you get and the quality of the preparation, the prices are fair. It's a cozy room in a great downtown, with ample free parking close by. One of the best "steakhouse-style" restaurants in the area.

Sumita G.

Yelp
This place is definitely for a nice romantic dine in experience . My fav thing here was the fresh oysters . The shrimp toast is nice but definitely not heart healthy . I would suggest lesser butter on toast cauz the shrimp is soo good that the bread doesn't need much . I also love the wine selection and service is definitely good . The place is a big tight if you sit on table for 2.

Yelp
I took an out of town friend here, and we had a great dinner. I liked the decor in there, and it throws off a coastal vibe. It's upscale, but also feels laid back. The drinks were innovative, and I like that they are often updating their original drink list. The honey bread with butter was a tasty table bread. We both started with wedge salads. They weren't as huge as a typical steakhouse wedge, but still very good. I had the salmon with shrimp entree, and my friend had the small filet. We shared the au gratin potatoes. Everything was really good, and we were both happy with our picks. I ended with the coffee toffee budino, which was huge and very good. Service was top notch. The meal wasn't cheap, but it's an ideal place for a nice dinner out.

Triana S.

Yelp
Made a reservation for Mother's Day. I enjoyed my experience. The menu was pre-set with 4 courses. The portions aren't big but because of the way they spread them out, you will get full due to your food settling between every course. I'd dine here again. Great food, great experience, cool vibe.

Yelp
Most definitely the place to start your night. The food the drinks, the atmosphere all immaculate! Come see rich be a bartender extraordinaire. With it being a place to start the night you have to get a NIGHT CAP at lapeer!

Ishara F.

Yelp
Food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. This place has the best beef tartare!!! The seafood scampi was a little flavorless but everything else on the menu was really good. I do not remember how many cocktails we ordered but they even made some special ones not on the menu that were absolutely delicious. Our waitress was amazing too. Probably one of the best waitresses I have ever had dining at a restaurant. The fig cocktail is pretty amazing. Love this place!!

Yelp
The beautiful white building sits next to a sprawling green that makes its large "steeple" stand out amongst the downtown space. Is that a lighthouse? Inside, warm decorative lighting descends upon the large, ornate bar. The enclosed sunroom is stunning with earthy wood tables, mixed media ceiling, and beautiful lighting. Lapeer not only is stunning in ambiance but also in their wonderful food! Like this steak, a perfectly cooked filet that literally melts in your mouth and has the right amount of seasoning. No sauce required! It's really the PERFECT piece of meat! But, the newly rebranded steakhouse doesn't stop there, everything from the savory steak sauces to the elevated cocktails, the amazing apps, and even some of the best chocolate cake is all top notch! This is the perfect spot for a date night! Why not start out with a cocktail? They have some good ones like the 5pm Somewhere! This great, balanced cocktail is tart and tangy with a good bit of creaminess from the foam. They also have an extensive wine list with several varieties of wine by the glass and even more bottles! Starting with the amazing apps, the Beef Tartare and Seafood dip, the tartare starts out with a ton of savory meat, while the onion and mustard bring out the flavor with tang! The entire bite ends up tangy, creamy, savory, and then a crunch of the buttery bread. One the other hand, the Lapeer Smoked Fish Dish has a myriad of flavors from the creaminess of the dip to the saltiness of the fish and then a smokiness on top. Whatever you do make sure to mix it with the Kraken Blood hot sauce, it gives it a kick! We opted to share a beautiful center-cut filet mignon and got almost every side you could imagine. Of all the sides, the crave-able Creamy Potatoes Gratin is hands down the best side. It is one part rich and creamy, then on the other side sweet and savory. Icing on the cake is the crunchy cheese on top! The Broccolini is earthy and tender inside with a nice char and crisp on the outside. This delicious side has a ton of flavor! On to the Charred Cabbage, which is tender and mild then on the top a healthy char. Underneath, the moat of savory sauce blends with a perfect amount of tang and sweetness. Last but not least are the creamy, dreamy whipped mashed potatoes that definitely pairs well with any of the steak sauces. They are buttery, creamy, and just right! We recommend pairing with the amazing steak jus sauce for ultimate bite. The star of the show, though, had to be the Center-Cut Filet. It is perfection with the right amount of seasoning outside and juicy and savory inside. As we mentioned earlier it doesn't really need any sauces, but they have some great ones that pair well with it. On the side they have roasted garlic, so we rolled that up with the Steak Jus and this was a great combo with the steak or even those crispy fries on the side! You really can't go wrong with any of them! To end the night, we opted for the amazing Chocolate Cake. It's really the perfect amount of chocolate, not over-powering or over rich. The cake itself is darker chocolate with a little more flavor and then the icing gives it depth with a milkier flavor. It's a great combination. On top, they added chocolate crunchies that add a fun texture to the bite. The perfect way to end an incredible meal.

Yelp
Everything was great. Loved the skirt steak au poivre and frites. Steakhouse without all the pretension.

Yelp
Visited for dinner on a Friday night, we made reservations and luckily did not have to wait to be seated. The restaurant is beautiful and has a coastal vibe, very classy! Service was great, our waiter was friendly and efficient. We ordered drinks with our dinner, old fashion & margarita, both were tasty. I ordered a second drink, "Get Figgy With It," and although it was a pretty drink, it was really really sweet. For food we ordered a dozen oysters, salmon, and shrimp pasta. The oysters were super tasty and big in size. My salmon was really good, but the shrimp pasta was pretty bland. Overall, we had a good dinner! Not sure if we would be back, but would still recommend it to others.

Rakhi G.

Yelp
We were 5 girls celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful experience at Lapeer. Our waiter Steven showed exemplary service with care and cheer. Absolutely coming back. And oh, those bread rolls with churned butter, can't forget. Only request would be to increase the portions slightly. And I typically write this one in every review: please consider adding vegan options.

Debbie F.

Yelp
I went tonite and sat at the bar to have dinner. I was a female by myself. the bartenders totally ignored me I had to stop them to receive service. did they jump to a conclusion I was a poor tipper? I always tip 20 or more percent. I am very disappointed in the service

Carlie M.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night with my family and absolutely loved it. It was a Monday night, so it wasn't too crowded. We did make a reservation though just in case. We sat in the sunroom area which was gorgeous. The inside area is a little dark, so I'm glad we sat there! Our waiter was awesome. Very attentive and helpful with giving suggestions. We started with drinks. We got the frozen espresso martini and the get figgy with it. Both were phenomenal! The espresso martini was such a fun twist on a traditional one. The get figgy with it was amazing! Definitely one of my favorite cocktails I've had! The bread service is delicious. The bread is like a pretzel bun sort of deal. For food, we got the 10oz filet, ny prime ribeye, grouper, roasted mushrooms and creamed gratin potatoes. It was a perfect amount of food for the 5 of us! The steak was incredible and cooked to perfection. The potatoes were so creamy and cheesy! Overall an amazing meal and recommend as a good spot for a fancy dinner when in Alpharetta.

Harika R.

Yelp
Waiter charged us 45$ for a shrimp scampi pasta without any shrimp or lobster. We said no shrimp so he should have mentioned it would be the same price or w/e even after I mentioned. Definitely not worth 45$ for basic pasta. That's like NYC pricing! And ordered a virgin pineapple mojito and got pineapple juice with no mint and no soda. Ya definitely crossing this off the list. Edit: talked to the manager and she did refund us for the over charge. So I appreciate her for that.

Mae E.

Yelp
Called ahead to ensure they could accommodate a vegan in our party and they assured me the chef could make something for them. Upon ordering the chef and waitress recommended a salad and grouper. Grouper isn't vegan and she just apologized and that was that. Scallops were mid at best. Luckily there is much better seafood and knowledgeable restaurants out there so I won't be recommending them.

Vance P.

Yelp
We ate here for the first time visiting Alpharetta. The appetizer we had was the BEST crab cheese dip I've ever eaten in my life. We had seafood and steaks and they were all incredible. The meal was paced perfectly and our server Don was SUPER helpful navigating the menu. Highly recommend this spot!

Jonathan K.

Yelp
I have managed restaurants across the country, and it is rare for me to leave a negative review. However, in this case, it is well-deserved. When we arrived, the hostess/manager was extremely rude and upset that we asked for a different table instead of a high-top next to the serving station. As a punishment, we were made to wait for 25-30 minutes while other tables were available, and she seated other parties of the same size. When we finally sat down, we waited for over 30 minutes between our appetizers and entrees. During this time, no one came to our table, not even to refresh our drinks. The food was okay, but not worth enduring the poor service. The root cause of the issue was the hostess/manager, who would never work a single day in a restaurant that I managed.

Kim B.

Yelp
Great atmosphere with incredible drinks and yummy food! Staff was attentive, never an empty glass or plate on our table. One of our favorite restaurants in Alpharetta!

Luke ..

Yelp
Where do I begin, the food was absolutely delectable and you could truly taste the freshness. The calamari was the best I've ever had and thanks to the servers tremendous service we ordered it. The lights and ambiance were just about perfect for the setting it was trying to achieve. Highly recommend the whole fish:)

Ali B.

Yelp
Great if you want to spend $7 for a soda that's 1/4th ice. Otherwise, ambiance is nice.

Eric B.

Yelp
Love this spot! I live in Alpharetta and haven't been to Lapeer so when the opportunity to grab some clients during an event, I was all over it. The restaurant has a great vibe to it and from the host to the bar to our table, the friendliness of the staff was top notch. We had 9 for dinner and our server didn't miss a beat. Menu is diverse and the steaks, salmon, shrimp, calamari, etc was outstanding. I'll definitely return since we are so close. Try it, you won't be misled.

Yelp
Great food! We ate here last night for NYE and it was SWAMPED! The service was slow which was understandable for the holiday but the food made up for it. We sat at the bar as we waited to be seated and ordered an amaretto spritz and espresso martini--both wonderful!! Our table was quite small and sandwiched closely between two other parties which was a bummer but I could see how popular this place was and how hard the staff worked. Honestly the house bread was probably the most delicious dish...it felt like a savory salted croissant and wish we could have had more!! For our appetizers we shared the wedge salad and beef tartare (no complaints, perfect as it). For our entrees, I ordered the seafood scampi and he ordered the branzino. My scampi was delicious!! I was so full from the starters/bread that I could only eat half but I thoroughly enjoyed eating the leftovers today. His branzino was great too. We also shared the mushrooms with our entrees which was tasty but not necessary at all so probably wouldn't order again. To finish it off we shared the chocolate cake--this was HUGE and half of it is still waiting in our fridge to be finished off. My boyfriend is the biggest chocolate cake fan ever and usually eats a whole slice for himself but he couldn't even finish it! Will definitely return! It's pricey but I get the hype.

Wade W.

Yelp
Good was excellent! We went on a Friday night which can be a toss up but it was all good. The only draw back is it was very loud in there but hey...it was Friday night so. Great food! Party of 4 and everyone loved their dinner.

Paulina A.

Yelp
Lapeer is a unique restaurant in the heart of Downtown Alpharetta. I would describe it as an upscale, Caribbean atmosphere with reggae music playing in the background. I came here for a date and it was an overall pleasant experience. I had the "mai other guy" cocktail which was fruity and tropical, garnished with pineapple leaves. My date had a beer and old-fashioned. The drinks average at $13 per glass and they offer beer, wine and cocktails. For the appetizer, we had the salt and pepper calamari which was heavily garnished with basil leaves and cilantro and onions --there was just a bit of calamari and octopus but it was very tasty. I enjoyed the grilled fish with vegetables as my main entrée and my date had the jerk chicken with rice. Both of our entrées were delicious. The fish was very fresh and flavorful and the vegetables were so colorful and assorted, some of which I don't know what they were called. I asked the waitress and she was not sure either but great variety. Overall, lovely ambiance and dining experience if you're in the mood for a tropical seafood dinner.

Chaz P.

Yelp
I'm giving this place three stars solely based on the food. The food was great and very tasty. I really enjoyed the wagyu tartare and the hanger stank with my glass of Grenache wine. We did have to wait a very long time for our food to come out. Also we had to wait a very long time for our wine to come out. Then the checks took forever to be split and stuff was on the wrong check so we ended up being kinda frustrated and just paying for whatever. We how the attention to service does change because the concept is excellent.

Sarah-Bradley D.

Yelp
Safe to say this place fully lived up to the hype. We went on a Friday night with a reservation but probably could have done without. Parking is difficult in the area so we did end up parking in a garage. Despite being February it felt like summer as soon as we stepped inside. This place is everything I could ever want in an ambiance. Service was awesome as everyone we interacted with was thoughtful and intentional. The manager even stopped by to see how we were doing and our server did a great job of highlighting the menu. Now on to the food and beverage. Do not leave this place without having a cocktail. I am not a big drinker but they really blow it out of the park. We got the channel orange (our favorite) and the margarita (the flavored salt was everything). All food is made fresh in house and it really shows. My boyfriend was starved so we skipped the lighter fare starters and split the carbonara as our app. It was a little on the salty side but the noodle was great. For our entrees we got the steak and lobster pasta. We loved both, our only complaint is the steak portion was on the smaller side for the price point. We finished off the meal with the key lime tart which was truly the best I've found outside of Key West - it was so good I would come back just for that. Our meal ended with insane complimentary homemade caramels that ended the meal perfectly. Lapeer we love you and will most definitely back.

Brendan H.

Yelp
Food , service and ambiance were fantastic. Calamari was fantastic. From the moment we walked in we were greeted and taken care of.

Gretel Y.

Yelp
This restaurant is so beautiful, you'll want to take lots of shell-fies! Lapeer Seafood Market is a new seafood restaurant located in downtown Alpharetta. They describe themselves as having "fresh coastal cuisine featuring hyper-seasonal food menu and extensive mezcal bar program." Hubs and I went on a weeknight date night here. The place wasn't busy, but there were a few customers dining. We were greeted upon entering and asked which section we would like to be seated. We chose their covered patio. Both spaces are gorgeous! Every detail is well thought of - from the light fixtures to the shelves to the furniture. Absolutely gorgeous. I wish I remembered our server's name. He was wonderful, attentive, and very helpful. We ordered the following: Eel Lake raw oysters $3.5 Tagliatelle Verde $39 Local Heirlooms $12 Key Lime Tart $9 The meal started with complimentary bread and butter. They were soft, sated and amazing. We could have easily eaten a dozen of those! However, we weren't super hungry, so we decided to share an entree and sides. They had a special on eel lake oysters that evening. They were actually less than $3.5 that evening, so we ordered a dozen of those to start. They were fresh and delicious. The tagliatelle verde came with lobster, corn, sauce american, espelette, and basil oil. It was excellent! The local heirlooms came with a few piece of sliced tomatoes, sweet corn, and basil. The tomatoes were ripe and juicy. Fantastic. We ended dinner on a sweet note - the key lime tart. Creamy with a nice balance of sweet and tart. All items were presented beautifully. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service. Both were excellent. However, the prices are pretty steep $$$$. Great for date night every now and then.

Yelp
I am unable to express a precise opinion and will need to go back to try more and update the review eventually. I went with super high expectations based on friends feedback. For now, based on what I tried, it's not more than 3 stars. Oysters were fine, the guacamole with crab was good but how wrong can you go with guacamole, the calamari were cooked well but salty and so was the tuna tartare marinated in an overwhelming soy sauce. The lobster roll was ok. I would give a 5 if I could not wait to have those dishes again...this is not the case but I am still going back. Service is ok. Drinks are ok.

Kara H.

Yelp
This was our first official "date night" dinner out since Covid restrictions started in 2020 and it felt really good to go OUT and feel normal. Lapeer is situated on the Alpharetta green on the north side. We choose to sit out on the glassed in patio which is light and airy and comfortable. We people-watched and enjoyed the late spring evening from our corner table. We started with an order of a dozen oysters on the half-shell. There were 4 different oysters on the fresh menu, so we got 3 of each. They were all perfectly presented and served with a champagne vinaigrette, fresh pepper sauce, and cocktail sauce. I like that there was extra horseradish for those of us who want to spice it up more. For my meal I had the lobster pasta and it was fantastic. There was a *lot* of lobster and it was nicely cooked, tender, and buttery. The lemon butter sauce was flavorful and lemony, but not overly rich or heavy. There was enough pasta that I had leftovers for lunch the next day and it was still quite good. My partner had the market catch with risotto and said it was very good. (He's not much for details, but he liked it.) We finished sharing a slice of the blackout chocolate cake and 2 glasses of Balvanie scotch. The cake was SO rich that we had a few bites each and took the rest home to enjoy later. Because we went all out with drinks, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, it was an expensive meal, but the quality was worth the cost. The service was excellent; friendly and prompt but our server gave us plenty of time to just enjoy our evening. We will definitely go back for future date nights when we have the opportunity.

Yelp
Give this place a shot, great vibes and great food. Try the drinks and food...great bar...great atmosphere... loved our experience here.

Marcus O.

Yelp
I think the best way to describe my experience here is by repeating what one of the staff of waiters said when he dropped off a plate of rolls -- it's his favorite thing there and would eat them for his entire dinner if he could. Truth. While I'm on the subject, the rolls are sublime. Soft, plump density with a sprinkle or salt over the top. So good. Not trying to detract from the rest of the meal, the other stuff was good. The challenges I found here was that their endeavor to locally source keeps their menu pretty limited. Not usually a problem unless you're wanting the Thursday special crab cakes on Wednesday. I tried an order of tuna cubes appetizer for a meal along with a salad. The tuna cubes were sushi grade and quite good. Presentation was beautiful. I was afraid to eat it. The salad -- interesting taste but a bit overpowering. The "chips" that come with the fried fish are an odd pairing. Big sticks of potatoes rather than traditional fries. Decent but not my favorite. They had good seasoning but lacked enough of it. The thickness of the potato seemed to absorb a lot of it. Service was excellent here. The interior space is gorgeous, complimented by a well-stocked bar with a cocktail menu you can appreciate. Price point dining here is $$$. $100 for two with a drink each. I liked it but don't know if I'd go back. The parking and traffic at Alpharetta City Center is aggravating, and this place doesn't make me overlook it.

Yelp
Ladies night, always fun catching up with friends over delicious food. This place doesn't disappoint, the whole fish was tonight's show stopper. We love a place that changes up their menu, it's never boring & you want to keep coming back for more. Super cool atmosphere Instagram worthy. Great staff. I had the green curry shrimp. Creative, beautiful Cocktails were delish and the key lime tart was the perfect ending to an awesome dinner date with these lovelies.

Yelp
Oysters were good! Some excellent. However, we came for lobster rolls which were no longer on the menu. Disappointing The seafood pasta was ok to good but not great. There was no pellagrino or other mineral water and no decafe coffee?! Service was good, however. The bar at this price point should be high I'm in no rush to come back

Yelp
ruined our nye dinner! the food is good, and we expected so much better from Louis and team when it came to seating and service. Disappointed and thankful for Abigail to save the night. Hoping the Lapeer team has a better 2024.

Yelp
Very disappointing! I must say this restaurant was very expensive , however the quality of the food just didn't justify the price. I was told by my server that the $76 10oz filet was dry aged. It was not and the filet arrived undercooked. We had to return it but they still delivered the other entree which was the seafood pasta and was described on the menu to include Shrimp, crab and lobster. We only tasted the 4 shrimp for $45. When I inquired regarding the crab the GM told us that it's not the season for crab so they reserve that for the crab dip. Really? The Gm stopped by to apologize but didn't offer a discount on anything but did comp us a dessert. We ordered a beer on the menu but the server told us it wasn't available and we had to wait over 20 min for another beer to arrive. All in all I would not patronize this restaurant again. There are plenty of other seafood/ steak places that are far more superior and cost a lot less. As we reviewed the bill we noticed a charge for wine at 15 which we didn't order and the server had to adjust the bill. In any event, Lapeer left a bad taste in our mouths.

Yelp
Beyond out of this world... I've now tried a majority of the menu and have zero complaints. Chef Blake is a creative cullinary genius; his creations are out of this world. GM Andrew runs a tight ship; his passion for the restaurant/service industry can be felt by all of their patrons. A must try is the side of Broccolini, it is simply to die for (if you like broccolini). Another great one would be the Calamari app, I put this one here because it has a different spin on it than your average calamari app, and it is quite amazing. Simply put, this is THE spot to go in DT Alpharetta peroid!

Yelp
Where have I been? I cannot believe how long it took me to finally get here. Walking in feels like you've been transported to Cape Cod. Oh and the shiplap takes it to a whole other level! It's gorgeous inside! It was Valentine's weekend and bustling with diners so it was very busy. Started out with the Margaritas which were PHENOMENAL and being that I'm truly a tequila connoisseur...thank me later! They gave us bread and it tasted like pretzels married to sweet rolls. The salt on the top was overkill and I could feel my blood pressure rising at each bite! No bueno...but once they brought out the oyster aisle dauphine I forgot all about it because OMG so yum! There is a garlic butter sauce that accompanies these oysters that is so.damn.good. We ordered the lobster pasta, porterhouse, and side of broccolini. The steak took very long to come out and it was "over" but the manager Andrew brought us an extra lobster pasta dish to accommodate us. They roasted a whole garlic and I smeared it on the steak which made it taste better. The broccolini was a nice surprise for the palate! It was flash fried and tasted like yummy chips. Was a little disappointed that the whole fish isn't on the menu anymore but was told by Andrew that the menu changes often and now they are concentrating more on steak dishes. The price point is high but was worth every penny! Can't wait to go back!!!!

Yelp
Service was great! Everything was great EXCEPT the steak. Would not recommend. We ordered the cowboy medium rare, came out so over cooked and hard it was inedible. Then the manager and chef came out to the table to try to "educate" us on how this as exactly how it was supposed to be and they used a temperature probe bla bla lol.... Anyone that enjoys steak and fine dining will pass on this steak every time. The seafood and apps and drinks were great. There is just waaayyyyy better steaks to be had , so why waste time and money on sub par.

Yelp
I'm sorry I am not impressed by this place. Cons: 1) Way over priced; food is sub par; they is about three bites of food on your plate that is about 30-50 bucks. The worst part of you leave hungry. I came with a friend for a birthday party. The two of us spend $100 bucks and left starving...... Pros: the seating and ambiance is pretty. Overall: way better food and more filling in downtown Alpharetta to choose from honestly. There's a restaurant in that area next door almost that has fried shrimp gives you a ton for half the price!

Yelp
From service, to taste, to the cook of the filet, phenomenal! The ambiance and detailed bar is an extra. Samantha was a great bartender! She was very knowledgeable about the menu. My steak was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. I added truffle butter. Pair that with au gratin potatoes and crispy, CRISPY broccoli. I'm picky when it comes to high end restaurants and this place is as a 10/10. Visit!

Yelp
Nice place for dinner out in Alpharetta! Although the prices here are quite high, the Lobster spaghetti is delicious! Lots of lemon and not fishy at all! And the rolls that come with your meal are heavenly! It does get busy so I would book a reservation! My favorite part is the caramel they give you at the end of your meal! I wish I could take home a bag of them!

Yelp
Ambiance- Brautiful space, wonderful location in Alpharetta. Wish the food was up to the quality of the location. Food- Very disappointing. Started with a cocktail, old fashioned bowl glass used for Martini, half filled. Not a value for $15. Then wine ordered from wine list: Great Italian wine producer in great vintage ordered. Different vintage year produced from inferior year brought which we declined. Then the food......... Came here after we read article proclaimed their lobster roll the "Best in Georgia". Not the best, not even ok. Small portion of mealy lobster served in a bun with over served melted butter was very disappointing to my wife. I was served a $45 Scampi with house spaghetti that offered Lobster, blue crab and shrimp. Dish was served with 4 shrimp, no lobster, and no crab. Pointed this out to server and he said, we gave you extra shrimp because we are out of crab. Took the dish back to add lobster and what came back had mealy lobster, and not much of it. Spaghetti was a strange coarse pasta, but most disappointing was warm cream sauce with no taste at all. Front of the house beautiful, kitchen performance very poor. Would not go back. Service- well meaning waiter tried his best but could not overcome bad food. Suggestion- Live lobster steamed, vs frozen lobster reheated (just a guess)

Yelp
Health Inspector Alert! Just left from the Resturant, the food was delicious, we had the potbelly fried rice and fried fish. While eating our dinner we noticed an employee casually smoking an E-cigarette in the kitchen by the food. I guess the male employee thought nobody would notice, but I definitely diid! His comfort level seemed as if this is routine for him. He kneed down to get a few puffs and then walked around the front kitchen sneaking additional puffs. Because of this experience I won't be back.

Yelp
I brought my wife. It was the first experience for both of us, and we were blown away at all levels. Extremely tasteful and thoughtful layout and decor to the restaurant. Cozy and lively at the same time. Once we got seated, our server, Jules, walked us through a few highlights since their revamp. We had some exceptional appetizers courtesy of the executive chef, Blake Hartley, and he even paid us a visit to tell about the sourcing and artful layout of each dish. Onto the entrees - we split the Scallops & Risotto along with the salmon. I am not a foodie, but this is one of the few times I could truly taste the difference. Extremely fresh and flavorful seafood and seasonal side veggies sourced from local farms. It's a wonder to have such a fine meal without feeling too heavy or underfed. We left feeling light and energized by the experience. Do yourself a favor and make it a destination for your next special occasion!

Yelp
They keep raising their prices where other places have remained consistent. It is a nice place but, it isn't worth the price anymore.
