The best cake I ever had!! Not only was the design unique and beautifully done, the buttercream frosting so was buttery smooth and not overly sweet. The Chocolate was so moist it was delicious. The cake was devoured in minutes everyone loved it as well

Google
Excellent Customer Service and Professionals If you’re searching for a bakery to create a wedding cake and craft delicious desserts, your search ends here. Lark Cake Shop did an amazing job designing our stunning wedding cake. It was a joy to work with John, the owner. He was very professional from the start, listened to all my ideas, and was great at responding to all my messages. On the day of our wedding, the cake looked exactly how I envisioned it—beautiful and perfect. Our guests were very impressed with the cake's aesthetics and flavors, and we received many compliments. Among the bakery desserts I sampled, Lark Cake Shop stood out as the most impressive in terms of flavors. John was also generous with his cake samples and had the best flavors, which earned him my business. My favorite flavors were coconut, lemon crème, chocolate mousse, and red velvet. Again, if you're looking for delicious desserts or a wedding cake, Lark Cake Shop is the place.

Google
The prettiest and best cakes. They did my wedding cake and it was a huge hit. Don’t sleep on this cake shop or any of their cupcakes!

Google
I ordered a wedding cake for my daughter's wedding yesterday. We ordered the lemon key lime cake which was the best! I usually don't like frosting that just tastes like sugar but this buttercream one is light, creamy, and tasty! The delivery driver texted me to inform they were enroute to the church. It was delivered right on time and in perfect shape. Highly recommend!!!

Google
Lark Cake Shop made the most delicious wedding cake for us - the only bakery I could find that made wedding cakes without buttercream. Their Berry Shortcake is literally the perfect cake. I will say that coordinating a wedding cake with them was quite disorganized - many emails got sent, and I nearly ended up with a cake very different from the one I thought I was ordering - if you want a tiered wedding cake, they have to replace the whipped cream and pastry cream in the berry shortcake with buttercream (for structural reasons) - which is totally reasonable, but not made clear at any point in the discussions about the cake. However, the cake that arrived made up for all the confusion - one of the best wedding cakes I've ever had by far. I look forward to buying smaller versions of it for years to come.

Google
Lark went out of their way to make sure my cake would be ready and delivered as ordered, same day. The person I spoke to over the phone was super nice and helpful. My party loved the chocolate mousse cake. Will order from here again.

Google
Really easy ordering online. $55 for a very cute and delicious carrot cake (no raisins)!

Google
Man, I must have caught them on a bad day. Our cake looked old and was an unappetizing shade of yellow white and when I mentioned my concerns to the girl at the counter she couldn’t be bothered. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I thought OK, another bored service employee, it was a pretty grim atmosphere in there. But the cake ended up being AWFUL! OLD, DRY CAKE, and the FROSTING TASTED SOUR. It tasted like it had been in the refrigerator for two weeks. It was such an embarrassing gift. Someone else brought cupcakes from Vons and they tasted BETTER! Lark used to be good, but I’m never going back there again.

Yelp
Ordered a cake for my daughter's 3rd birthday . Cake came out beautiful. Dinosaur topper wasn't included i made that myself :) I ordered the berry short cake I will say the frosting tasted a little different compared to the cupcake foraging but was still delicious:)

Yelp
Today I had the worst possible experience at Lark, and I will never return there and hope others read this review carefully. After buying cupcakes there for years, and many cakes, I ordered a birthday cake. The name on the cake was misspelled. While I understand that mistakes can happen, what I do not tolerate is poor costumer service and attitude. First, Jesse - the person working there today Saturday August 9 at around noon - did not even wanted to open the box for me to check the cake. Then when I noticed the mistake, all she could say was that there was nothing she could do. The attitude was surreal, as she did not even once tried to be pleasant. When I lost it and said I wanted to speak with her manager, she gave me even more attitude looking at me with a disgusted look. The manager was friendly, but in the end I came home with a smaller cake with the right working (and insulted with the cake with the mistake). I am sure if it was their birthdays they would understand how unprofessional this entire situation was. My sincere recommendation is that Jesse should not be attending costumers as she lacks empathy and is extremely rude. She should simply be fired as no one should have to put up with her attitude. Overall, this was a terrible experience. As I said, with amazing places in LA, quality of service is expected. And when you do not provide the service people pay for, you should not be in business!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this cake shop for years, constantly eyeing it when I'd go on neighborhood walks looking through the window glass, but didn't find the right event/opportunity to splurge on the beautiful cakes. I decided to purchase some cupcakes today for my gf's birthday and was so so disappointed by the poor costumer service. The girl gave me attitude and worse wouldn't add an extra cupcake to the box. When I asked her to explain why she couldn't give me an explanation. Then she added the cupcake in a very disgruntled matter after telling me she couldn't!! Why she wouldn't want me to buy an extra cupcake is beyond me. When I got home the cupcake was tossed and smushed. I'm very sad and disappointed since I was looking forward to this business so badly. Ultimately quality is good, but customer service is disastrous.

Yelp
Really wonderful cake shop! Wed heard so much about Lark Cake Shop and were originally hoping to order a cake at their Pasadena location but found out it was closed and possibly moving. I decided to drive out to Silverlake and ordered the Nutella Crunch Cake (looked just like the photo on their website!). The staff were super nice and helpful and the shop was clean and cute. Everyone LOVED the cake! The cake was moist and we loved that it wasn't the same icing around the outside and in between layers. The Nutella filling was lighter than expected which was good and didn't make the cake too sweet. Also, the buttercream on the outside was just the perfect amount of sweet. We'll be back for a future birthday celebration!

stacey g.

Yelp
Not what I asked for Not a holiday cake Not even in the center Could this birthday cake be decorated worse? Also their customer service is horrible I was so embarrassed by this ugly cake that I spent $50 on Instacart to try to make it better in a hurry
google avatar

Mel D.

Yelp
A friend of mine brought over an assortment of cupcakes where I got to try a bite of several flavors and I actually enjoyed every single one. She mentioned the berry shortcake cupcake was their most popular and it didn't disappoint. I would definitely suggest the nutella cupcake which might've been my favorite. It wasn't as sweet as I expected so I very much enjoyed it. If you like super sweet desserts, the chocolate mouse and chocolate mocha was also good. I guess bottomline is, you can't really go wrong. She got the cupcakes delivered the same day so it was very convenient for our group celebrating a birthday.

Yelp
Super happy with the cake and service we received from John and his team from the initial inquiry, to the cake tasting, all for our intimate wedding- we secured on a 2 tiered red velvet cake for the theme of "wild flowers" with the flower piping on the side. It was a hot day but they made sure that it stayed up in place. Delivered on time, great communication and of course, delicious taste! Thank you so much!

Kenneth A.

Yelp
Purchased a Buche Noel and a chocolate mousse cake for Christmas with friends this year. Both were superlative. I'll be back for more cakes for future get-togethers.

Yelp
I was excited to try this cute and popular place. I thought for sure the cupcakes would be great. Boy was I wrong. Terrible bread that makes up the cupcakes. Dry as a desert. Lacks flavor. Lacked any quality ingredients. Tasted as if the bread was many days old, left out and made with water. Unfortunate because some of the frostings were very delicious but not appreciated with the bread part. The red velvet frosting was delicious on its own! The chocolate frosting on chocolate was tasty. The berries cupcake fell flat and the worst was Nutella. My teenage nieces had the confetti flavor and they didn't want it after the first bite. I was surprised at how bad it came together with the location, decor and price point. Quite expensive for the size of the cupcakes imo. If they could improve the breading to be as upscale as the rest of the package, it would be worth a return. The young girl at the desk was nice. The place was clean. The cupcake holders could be better, the cupcakes are too small they get stuck in the slot and you have to squeeze them out. Not sure what cupcakes all the 5 star review customers had. These were not it.

Yelp
We ordered a lemon lime cake with key lime & cheesecake filling and Italian buttercream frosting, as well as some vegan chocolate orange mini cupcakes for our wedding. Everything was so delicious! We especially loved how helpful John was in the planning process. There was absolutely no upselling. He shared what the most budget-friendly option would be and what we could do if we were open to spending more.

Yelp
We ordered the black and white cake for our wedding and it was great! All our guests enjoyed it. Lark Cake Shop was very communicative and easy to work with via email. We're already looking forward to ordering another cake for our anniversary :)

Yelp
I don't write reviews often but damn I got a Nutella cake for my girlfriend's 30th birthday and she loved it. 5/5 great cake and thanks for calling and reminding the ADHD boyfriend it's ready.

Yelp
Lark Cake Shop designed and prepared my wedding cake, and they absolutely crushed it! John was so helpful from the first call - he listened attentively to our vision and was very willing to help us work within the confines of our budget. The chocolate flavor was absolutely delicious, and after the wedding we received so many compliments on both the taste and aesthetic of our cake! John was also extremely professional, responsive and so positive and upbeat throughout the process. He was beyond on top of it and was an absolute delight to work with. Cannot recommend Lark Cake Shop highly enough!

Yelp
What a Wonderful find! I ordered a cake for the first time! Emailed and called. They were very communicative and responsive! Sent my friend a cake via their delivery service and so happy that it turned out just as expected! My friend was super happy and thankful! They said that the cake was super delicious and wonderful! I would definitely order again and recommend. Thank you Lark Cakes! Great Job!!!

Yelp
I can't believe my Yelp friends have reviews for Lark that are 12-13 years old. I'm born and raised in Los Feliz and travel on Sunset almost every Monday-Friday. How did I miss Lark Cake Shop? Thanks to my sister, she brought some cupcakes and some ice boxes home and I was amazed at the tastes of these sweet and delicious desserts. Their cupcakes are sweet and moist, I love them. If you haven't tried their Oreo Ice Box, those are to die for! Layers of cake and Oreos mixed in, perfect for the summer heat. Lark makes a ton of cakes and personalizes cakes to your liking as well, check them out. The ladies behind the counter (8/13) were super friendly and sweet, thanks for the cupcake recommendations! Street parking, credit cards okay.
google avatar

J'aime K.

Yelp
The worst cupcakes. Smaller and dense like hockey pucks. I got the red velvet and carrot cake. Both had 1/3 frosting, hardly any cupcake. It made me mad to spend $4 per mini cupcake. Sad to have a subpar experience. Cupcakes should be a bigger portion, softer in texture and fun to eat. Meh.
google avatar

Chaille K.

Yelp
Their cookies and cream round ice box cupcakes are so good! They seem tiny but good enough for two or more people. I don't think it's actually cookies n cream but that's the taste I'd describe it as. Would recommend calling ahead to order because they do sell out fast. Service is great everything is pretty simple you go in get your cake or cupcake and bounce. Only steet parking as well.
google avatar

Jenny S.

Yelp
I always love ordering from Lark and especially love their light and fluffy ice box cupcakes. For my friend's birthday I ordered some mini black & white cupcakes and a custom plain textured buttercream black & white cake. Lark does not decorate with flowers, greenery, or toppers so I added the decorations myself! The online cake ordering process was simple & easy and Melissa was quick to respond with details/quotes. The cake was ready on time and everyone enjoyed the cakes/cupcakes!
google avatar

Ken S.

Yelp
This place is my go to cake and cupcake spot. I love the red velvet and carrot cake. Always a toss up on what I'm craving. Also great place to give some cupcakes as a gift or a thank you! They all taste amazing
google avatar

Pantera C.

Yelp
I wouldn't recommend this place if your color person because I felt I didn't belong here. I wouldn't buy here again. The lady was very moody. I just wanted to get my paid items and leave.

Wendy Y.

Yelp
My boyfriend recently ordered a custom cake from Lark Cake Shop for my birthday. Despite confirming the heart shape with bow details several times via email, the cake delivered had no bows and was circular. While the shape is less of an issue, the absence of the black ribbons, a crucial detail, is disappointing. Additionally, he was assured candles would be included, which they were not. Had he known the cake wouldn't match the agreed-upon design, he wouldn't have ordered it. Given the $110 price tag and the disappointment this experience has caused, a full refund is warranted.

Yelp
Having now had 3 experiences eating cupcakes as well as a VERY intricately decorated cake from the Lark bakery on Sunset, I feel comfy writing a 5 star review. What a *great* bachelorette party cake. And TBH, the only reason this isn't a perfect 5 star review is the cake taster we had (Nutella Crunch) wasn't exactly like the Nutella Crunch cake we received which had almost no crunch at all. Despite the lack of crunch, the decor was simply perfect, almost 1 to 1 with my inspo photo. The cake texture was light, almost like angel food! The buttercream was also essentially weightless. Regardless of the final cake being slightly different than the taster, the service was fast & impeccable as was the quality of my cake.

Madeline B.

Yelp
Literally the best cake ever... every single thing about this cake is perfection! It's such a simple, I loved it is so light and fluffy. I'm really sensitive when it comes to sweets and this is the perfect sweetness and texture. I love the fresh berries it's literally the best cake I've ever had
google avatar

Nick L.

Yelp
All I have to say is that their cupcakes are quite good. Here's what I've tried: Berry Shortcake - The berry whipped cream inside was just so incredibly flavorful. It was perfectly sweet and airy. The cake was good too, but any kind of cake would have tasted great with that whipped cream. Lemon Key Lime - The lemon cake was quite good, but I wasn't getting much lime in the filling. It tasted more like lemon, but I'm not complaining. Another home run. Nutella Crunch - It's still about the whipped cream. It had a really great nutella flavor. If you like hazelnuts, you won't be disappointed by this. Chocolate Mocha - The chocolate was pretty rich but tempered by the mocha cream. I'm not a huge fan of too much chocolate and coffee, but this one was perfectly palatable.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Birthday cake looked pretty but was very dry. No other complaints or observations. Maybe it was left in the oven for too long or needed more eggs or milk?
google avatar

Alexis T.

Yelp
I've encountered so many bakery shops in LA that require you to order weeks in advance! Not Lark! I ordered an icebox cake with a birthday message only 5 days in advance. Easy to order online, pick up was simple and the cake was so delicious and a big hit at my husband's birthday party! Thank you!!!!
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
Cupcakes were dry and not tasty. Also no icing. Whipped cream instead. The ordering was easy and people were nice

Yelp
Lark's Cake Shop in Silver Lake, CA, is a delightful gem tucked within a charming area filled with local shops. We absolutely love the convenience of exploring nearby businesses after satisfying our sweet tooth at Lark's. As frequent visitors, we find ourselves repeatedly drawn to their delectable cupcakes. The coconut, red velvet, and carrot cake cupcakes are undoubtedly the stars of their menu, leaving our taste buds in absolute bliss with each bite. The flavors are rich and perfectly balanced, making it hard to resist indulging in more than one. However, the only downside we've noticed is the limited indoor and outdoor seating available. It can be challenging to find a spot to enjoy our cupcakes comfortably, especially during busy hours. Despite this, the sheer deliciousness of the cupcakes makes us keep coming back for more, and we often end up taking them to-go to enjoy in the nearby park. Overall, Lark's Cake Shop is a must-visit for any cupcake enthusiast, and the delightful location in an area of mostly local shops adds to its allure. Just be prepared to find alternative spots to savor your treats if seating becomes scarce.

Yelp
This Cake Shop worked with me via email. I sent over inspiration photos and I was followed up with cost tiers and options. This was such an easy experience. The turnaround time was fast, too! The taste was a fresh, fluffy, fruity-berry spongie melts in your mouth type of cake. The appearance was superb! If I ever need a Hello Kitty cake again, I will be sure to return.

Karen F.

Yelp
Lark Cake Shop was a great find on yelp for someone from out of town. I ordered a chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday and it was beautifully decorated and tasted delicious. Thank you for your help, Melissa. Ordering online and via email was super easy.

Yelp
cakes are OK if unbelievably expensive but their customer service really sucks. Website is basically impossible to navigate and they are practically impossible to reach on the phone, at which time they acted like my difficulties with their website were my problem, not theirs. Then they deliver the cake by leaving it on the porch on a hot day, not so much as a knock on the door even though I was home all day. Fortunately I managed to find the cake before it melted, doubt I'd use them again except for the fact that most of the other bakeries around here suck even more.

Yelp
The only thing I could criticize this business was the moody woman behind the counter who seemed so bothered by me picking up an already paid for buche de noel. Now.... When I got home and looked at it ( stupid me for not checking at store- the attitude I got made me want to leave asap) it was perfect!!! The frosting was perfect, the adorable mushrooms, the decorations! I was overjoyed seeing it and as a surprise for my father's visit, couldn't wait to show him. Unable to contain my excitement, I told him about our Christmas desert.. but waited until Christmas .... My father was so excited for the cake and I was as well and I gotta say: This was probably the best cake I have ever had in my life. The cake was so light and fluffy, perfectly rolled with a rich crème which also wasn't heavy?! The flavors so rich and decadent but this cake didn't weigh you down! You could easily enjoy a few slices, dad and I did, without going into food coma! I'm hesitant to try another cake because this cake was one of the best cakes I've ever had... however I'm sure within the next year there will be a need for cake and this is the bakery I'm going to. People who are sad about other bakeries closing should switch their love to the Lark cake shop..... hahah..... funny... I just realized it was a lark that I found this bakery. But this bakery is seriously legit.

Obiageli M.

Yelp
I thought the cake was nasty. I ordered three flavors: red velvet, chocolate with cookies n cream cheese, and white funfetti. Cakes were dry. Flavor wasn't great either. Sorry! I have to leave an honest review. I won't be back at this spot.

Yelp
TL;DR - cake tasted good, but looked bad. Customer service was inattentive. Shop seems good for simple cakes, but not customized cakes. Our cake was supposed to be ready at 10:00AM for pick up, but when we got to the shop at 10:30AM, they were still making it. No apology or recognition by the staff there. We waited about 15-20 minutes outside for the cake to be completed, but the staff was not attentive at all and did not even come to get us when the cake was finished. We were getting nervous since they weren't done with the cake-- we felt like it was going to be a rush job. We were also skeptical since a previous headphone cake in the reviews here was HORRENDOUS. Listen to the reviews because our fears were actualized when the cake made was the "bootleg" version of the images and character references we provided. See the pictures. The devil is in the details and the devil doesn't seem to be present. You can see that the main character, the bunny, has uneven ears and unbalanced facial features. The proportion of the head is incorrect too. The bunny should be the star of the cake. The "happy birthday" scripture had an icing smear too that could've been wiped off before giving it to us. The cake was $170 and should reflect that quality, but unfortunately it didn't. On a positive note, the chocolate mousse was fantastic and the cake was tasty.

Yelp
My go to whenever I need to pick up vegan treats for my nephew. He loves the banana chocolate and loves when he sees me with the little lark box

Yelp
Great. Another bake shop for me to invade. I was visiting Stark next door, so I had to pass Lark anyway; figured I had no choice but to stop in. Upon entering, this place is rather...empty. There was a table up front and the display is in the back, and it was very quiet, no music or conversation. One girl was working and she came over right away when she noticed a customer. I let her know this was my first time and she right away recommended the icebox cake that they were known for, which happened to be one of the items I was interested in. Between the gingersnap, berry, cold brew and the chocolate, I went with the chocolate but was briefly considering the berry. Adding in a vanilla cupcake, this came out to $9. Cupcake was good; this is my default item when I try new bakeries and they passed the test. I asked her if the icing was buttercream and she said it was just whipped cream, but when I looked afterwards, the menu description said Italian buttercream...regardless, it was enjoyable! I got to the icebox cake a couple days later after storing it in the fridge and This is what I've been waiting for. The layers of Oreo and cream was light and delicious, and the size is ideal for sharing, or in my case, saving the other half for another day. Lark's locations are not convenient for me by any means, but that icebox is worth a trip if you are in the area. At $5, it was a perfect size, and well worth it. With the quality of the goods they had here, I can overlook the lack of decoration in the place; what they sell is what really shines here. Looking forward to my next icebox cake with Lark!

Claudia J.

Yelp
Loved my cake. It was so yummy and exactly how I wanted it designed. Also super affordable.

Yelp
Nice people but the 4$ cupcakes are a joke. The frosting is actually pretty good but the cake is dry, hard, and dense--it's like eating dry cornbread. I would absolutely avoid. Better cupcakes abound.

Yelp
Came here for the Christmas Yule log. Not easy to find so it was a nice surprise to see it offered here on their site. I had originally came in person to order but was sent away and told to "order online." I was a little taken back by the turndown in person but was still curious to purchase and try. The cake was spongey and light and the butter cream filling not too sweet. Overall, we found the log to be a bit disappointing. Some in our group felt like it was not fresh. I disagreed, but felt like the dessert was underwhelming for $55 and not that decadent chocolate dessert I had previously experienced. I will say the presentation of the cake was beautiful. Next time I will stick with what they are known for....

Yelp
My (now) husband and I tasted SO many cakes around LA for our intimate garden wedding. Only ONE stood though. Lark's decadent coconut cake with cream cheese frosting. Simple but extremely delicious. Now we can revisit our dreamy wedding cake anytime :D
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
I went in day of my friends baby shower to grab some cupcakes. I picked a large variety including gluten-free and vegan ones! They looked beautiful and tasted so yummy. Everyone loved them. Street parking was easy too.

Diamond M.

Yelp
A friend and I came to this shop a couple of Saturdays ago to buy a celebratory cake for a friend. Unfortunately, their day of cake selection was pretty limited and the only had red velvet and carrot cake, but luckily carrot cake is my friends favorite cake so we were in business. They wrote a message on the cake no problem and it dawned on me after the fact that I should have chosen a specific color. The cashier then mentioned they only had light blue frosting to letter the cake anyways so I shouldn't feel like I missed out on something (but why is that the case at an actual cake shop?). Later we surprised our other friend with the cake but the excitement left the room quickly when we realized that we had been given a red velvet cake. None of us like red velvet cake :(

Yelp
We were on the hunt for a traditional coconut cake for my 91 yr old father's birthday. Most places make them with pineapple or some other tropical fruit. So we were excited to find this place and try their traditional coconut cake. The cake was beautiful. It was all white with toasted shredded coconut on the side. The shredded coconut added a nice touch of color. The cake was three layers and filling between the layers tasted like cream cheese filling (so delicious ). Our only knock was the cake was a bit dry, but I think it was our fault. My wife was told to take the cake out of the fridge and allow it to come up to room temp before cutting it. Well my wife failed to mention that detail before we dug into it. Still, my father loved the cake and so did I.

Yelp
So relieved to get a very helpful person on the phone to order a same-day birthday cake! Shocking that Los Feliz Bakery no longer sells whole cakes, and the folks at Proof made it clear they wished they never had to answer the phone, much less actually use more than one word to answer questions. My mistake for calling those places first, never again will bother with Proof. The person who answered at Proof was amazing; quickly made some suggestions, took my order over the phone, and gave some helpful serving tips. ...and the Black and White cake was terrific! Solid operation, wish more places emulated their style. Got me locked in now for my cake, pie, and cupcake needs going forward.

Yelp
Wow, this place has a lot of hype and due to recommendation from a foodie that the cake is amazing, I went out of my way to visit this cafe. The area is super inconvenient when it comes to driving, parking, and finding the spot. I think we passed by it twice before realizing where it was. The cakes were good at 4/5 stars. I got a muffin just to try it out and it was good as well.
google avatar

Elaine N.

Yelp
John, the owner of the store contacted me and gave a full refund. Unfortunately the damage was too great to bump up any stars for this even with the refund. But I appreciated his quick offer to help and good attitude compared to his cake team. Apparently his cake team thought the headphone looked perfect and they just didn't want to deal with me. (Absolutely absurd & am now concerned of the talents of their team) I'm glad though however, at least the owner of Lark Cake sees there's a problem with the design and that there is at least one sane person at this place.

Yelp
My husband and I recently got married last month in November. Yes we had a real dream wedding during Covid-19 and everything turned out great and..no one got sick (no virus or food poisoning) from attending the wedding! Hallelujah ! So FYI~ it is possible and there is Hope! Anyways, John (the owner) helped us with all our questions and helped navigate through our thoughts and ideas of how we wanted the cake to look like. This cake shop was one of the only ones that were open during the pandemic and we were so grateful they were open! I had called many places that didn't get back to me. I even called Porto's before reaching out to Lark Cake Shop and they had minimal choices including no signature cakes and no customization available. Honestly, even though they were friendly, I was discouraged after talking with them as I was advised it was best to postpone the wedding. I'm glad I didn't listen to them even though their pastries are still bomb!!! I just knew there was better out there...I just had to find it. John was so personable and just wonderful. He sent us a menu to look at and then set up a phone call to go through different options. He even recommended the most popular ones and even sent us some sample cupcakes to help with our decision. We ended up getting the famous berry shortcake and the classic red velvet cake. Honestly, all the flavors were so good we could have chose them all!! John really helped make things cost effective and him and his staff gave us the simple but elegant design we were looking for. Great people, professional and personable.

Yelp
Disappointed. Bought an 8inch. Asked the peeps if they're baked fresh and they confirmed all are made in the morning. I don't think that's true. Our cake was frozen and hard after 5 hours from purchase.

Yelp
No need to go rushing over to Lark. What's the hype here, hmm? I'll start with the one I liked the most (and it still wasn't mind-blowing) and work my way down: The carrot cake cupcake, with nuances of nutmeg or clove (definitely notes of spice in there) and with a delicious cream cheese frosting was the best. The frosting was definitely sweet enough and tasted like cheesecake. The cake itself was mildly carrotty and it wasn't dry but the cake wasn't airy, it was quite sturdy. If you are a carrot cake aficionado though, this may disappoint. The icebox cupcake everyone seems to rave about was good but it was very sweet and it basically tasted like crushed Oreos and sweet cool whip. Nothing too special here in my opinion. But thanks to yelp (yay) I got this one for free! The salt and caramel cupcake was a crumbly plain vanilla cupcake with a very salty caramel topping. Again, flavors you've had before, in an unoriginal way. Now I know this place is known for their cupcakes, but I definitely expected more from their "NY style" cheesecake. This was by far the worst option. Don't get it. The texture was crumbly and gritty and it just didn't have any good flavor. It's really a disgrace to even be called a NY cheesecake honestly! With so many quality bakeries nearby to eat my way through this one will surely be forgotten! Sorry not sorry.
