We had been recommended this small restaurant and it did not disappoint - quite the opposite! It is more expensive than many of the restaurants around, but there is a good reason for that: the menu is small, but full of dishes that are very different to your average restaurant, and the quality of the food that arrived was absolutely first class - makes you wonder why it doesn’t have a Michelin star. I especially liked the starter of prawn and Guinea fowl in a lobster bisque: may sound odd (and that simplistic description does not do it justice), but it really worked. They also have an extensive wine list with something for everyone from all over France, with plenty of local wines. The service was friendly, helpful, and relaxed, and the atmosphere convivial to taking time to enjoy the meal at your own pace, with tables with more space around them than you normally find even in some of the better restaurants around. In summary, fantastic: best meal we have had in a long time.
