Lasa Sandwiches And Pearls - Review - Lynnwood - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This all-day Lynnwood sandwich shop serves classics with a Filipino twist. Case in point: Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks with soy-marinated bistek, or subs containing decsontructed lumpia ingredients (crispy wrapper and all). But don’t miss Lasa’s finest contribution to society: their breakfast sandwich, loaded with soft scrambled egg, a longanisa patty, and creamy sauce accented by roasted jalapeño, all on sweet brioche. Pair it all with peppery beef lumpia or hand-cut fries for a lunch that'll sail you through to dinner. Food Rundown photo credit: Chona Kasinger Breakfast Longanisa This sweet-salty-spicy behemoth is a Lasa staple, whether it's 11am or 6:30pm. photo credit: Chona Kasinger Lumpia Sub It's a noble idea—lumpia dissected for parts to make a sandwich, featuring lots of pickled vegetables and a crackly wrapper insert. By all means go forth if you're a meatball sub person, but actual lumpia is the better deal. Also, if you have the mouth anatomy to take a clean bite of this thing, get the Guinness Book Of World Records on the phone. Lumpia Chopped into bite-size pieces, we wish Lasa's lumpia was available by the bucket. Fries You know how "hand-cut fries" is often code for "floppy soggy debacle?" Not here. These spuds are golden, snappy, and even hold up well during a car ride—provided you don't slam on the brakes and send them flying at the mercy of strong g-forces." - Aimee Rizzo

The 16 Best Filipino Restaurants In Seattle

"Lasa" means flavor in English, and this Lynnwood sandwich shop understands that. You'll find many Filipino flavors here, from a breakfast egg and cheese with longanisa to a Philadelphia-style cheesesteak with soy-marinated bistek. But don't miss Lasa’s lumpia sub. This is a delicious deconstruction of the crispy meat-filled roll, with giant meatballs and a deep-fried lumpia wrapper stuffed inside the bread. The Lechon Kawali roll with its chunks of fried pork belly is also excellent. As for Lasa’s shiny tapioca pearls, the flavors keep coming with halo halo, Purple Paradise (ube), and the Boracay Breeze, named after the famed beach in the Philippines. Google
Wow what an old skool Sandwich shop. Such large portions of sandwich meat toppings are well seasoned. Fries were nice and greasy if you like them that way. Air fryer made them crisps. Sunday Funday whether you are walking around or watching a game these food options are great!

Placed a take out order which could have caused the food to not taste as good (commute to home time). Fili-bistek - meat was marinated too long in soy sauce as it was too salty without enough sweetness. Lechon kawali roll - the meat had a crispy skin and juicy tender inside. The flavor was just right but was still lacking something (sauce maybe?). For pearls had halo-halo and purple paradise and they were ok. Halo-halo wasn't that sweet but both drink's pearl was not fresh or chewy. Fry portions are great for the price.

You all seeing all these 5 star reviews with the sisig fries as the first picture? Theres a reason for that. Get yourself some and you'll know why. I got mine no onions and still went 5 star. The meatball Lumpia Sub was awesome as well, but youre gonna need that fork to get meatball and carrot at tge same time. That sub is huge. Only problem i had was getting online ordering to work. Probably better that i drove there and ordered in person anyway so i could grab the food as soon as it came out.

My cousin and niece took me here. Loved their sisig fries! Wish I could’ve ordered more, perhaps next time! (Looking forward to their famous sandwich!)

2024/07/27: We had the Lechon Kawali Roll and the Sisig Style Fries. The first few bites were amazing! However, we grew tired of the taste towards the end as the flavors were heavy and one dimensional.

Literally everything we ordered here was amazing. The Pressed Adobo Sandwich was perfectly balanced with a decent amount of pickled veggies and flavorful pork. The Sisig Fries are to die for. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely will be coming back!

Google
Fantastic Filipino sandwich shop! Stopped in after my workout with my friend and we ordered the fili-bistek and adobo fried chicken sandwich, along with the halo-halo. I loved both of the sandwiches, but the adobo fried chicken really was perfection. Each sandwich came out hot and fresh, and I’m not sure what sauce is on the adobo but it really tied it all together. Can’t wait to go back and try the other sandwiches along with the sisig fries looked good too! The lady at the front was so sweet and helpful too. Thanks for a great experience! Edit 1/17: Tried the pressed adobo, sisig fries, the roast beef ciabatta, and boracay breeze drinking. The sisig fries and boracay breeze should also be on the top of the list for recommendations. The roast beef was decent, but can’t even come close to competing to the other sandwiches flavors.

Google
Wow this place was delicious! I’m Filipina and I’ve been looking for a Filipino restaurant in the Seattle area for a while. Oh my gosh! Try this place. It was amazing!!!!! I really recommend getting the sisig fries and Lechon kawali roll. The sisig flavoring is so good and the Lechon is ultra crispy. Would def recommend and come back again! Only thing I wasn’t too crazy about was the Taho Milk Tea. Everything else was so great!

Yelp
We were intrigued by the promise of Filipino sandwiches and made it a priority to try out LASA during our week long stay around Seattle. The restaurant is pretty casual, with counter service and self selected seats. There is self serve water, utensils and condiments on a small rolling cart next to the order counter. The food comes out pretty quickly, and soon after we ordered, we started munching. Lechon Kawali Roll ($18) - Very impressive sandwich. As soon as you open the box, the mouth-watering aroma of sweet soy sauce assaults your nostrils. It's a great introduction to the dish. Four giant pieces of perfectly fried pork belly rest on a bed of shredded lettuce, atop a split roll. Fried pork tends to dry out a bit due to needing to cook and render some of that unctuous fat, but this one has enough remaining fat and delicious sticky sweet and savory sauce to balance the meat. The excellent crispy skin on one side of each pieces falls away from the meaty pork underneath. The pork is topped with herbs and minced red birds eye chili that are quite spicy when eaten alone, but lend a nice heat level when the sandwich is eaten all together. The bed of shredded lettuce underneath helps deter some of the sauce from soaking too much into the toasted hoagie underneath. For this sandwich, I recommend taking off one pork belly pieces, possibly even two, then rotating the other pieces, otherwise you can't really eat this as a sandwich. The pork belly is a little too rich for me by itself, but works perfectly inside the sandwich. (4/5) Sisig Style Fries ($14) - These seem to be hand cut single fried (vs. double fried) fries, well done, resulting in a fry that has a bit more of a crunch and a bit drier on the inside. Luckily, these aren't served by themselves - but instead are topped with a deliciously garlicky mayoish sauce, a ton of diced fatty fried pork belly, and some chopped red onion. Everything gracing the fries adds more than enough moisture and fat to counteract the drier fries. A bunch of scallion adds freshness, and chopped birds eye chili add an extra immediate heat. Mix that pepper in well; the creaminess of the sauce and the fat from the meat help to temper down the heat to a pleasant level. A crispy over medium egg crowns the dish on top. It's dusted with black pepper with a jammy yolk. Overall, everything in this dish melds together into a pile of deliciousness. (5/5) I was surprised at how good the food was at LASA, not to mention that there are so many other items on the menu that we want to try out in the future. As a bonus, the portion sizes are huge - between the two of us, I think we would have been full with only one of the two items we ordered. Definitely go here to eat some of the very inventive dishes! Bathrooms - They aren't in the restaurant, instead you go outside take a right and around the corner of the building. Take the 3rd door into an office hallway-like area where you can find both larger bathrooms. The exterior door and bathroom doors have keypads installed, but the doors are not locked during business hours. Overall rating of the food this visit: 4.5/5

Yelp
I came here just to eat Sisig fries because I was craving it, but they really loaded us up these day. I think it's worth the price point. I like to come here to split a sandwich and the fries with a friend and find that it is filling enough. I do think the Lechon is the best sandwich here. I love the local, casual vibes of the restaurant and the people are always very friendly.

Yelp
Came here just for dessert - halo halo was good. Wish it came with more ube ice cream is all :)

Yelp
The food was overcooked, yet at the same time soggy. And, it was heavily spiced, the sign of bad cooking, trying to hide lack of taste with spices. The first time we went shortly after opening, it was great, but it has been worse every time we have been since then. We won't be returning. the service was friendly, the ambiance was bare and cafeteria like. I may be prejudiced because my wife is Filipino and all our friends are Filipino, but this is NOT representative of real Filipino Cuisine.

Yelp
Filipino food, is very dear to my heart, so I try my best, to only guide people towards the right places, especially since it's on trend, right now! LASA Filipino Cuisine ( @lasafilipinocuisine ), in Lynnwood, WA, is a delicious spot, to check out! They have another location, at the Tulalip Prime Outlets too! I'm obsessed with their Pork Belly Sandwich, minus the sandwich part! I'm also obsessed with their #LUMPIA! I always think my dad makes the best, but these guys are right up there! Salamat gid Lasa! Your food is sarap!!!!! #LASA #FilipinoCuisine #Lumpia #Ube #Tocino #Lechon #HaloHalo #LynnwoodWA #TulalipWA #sarap #supportlocal #supportsmallbusinesses #NelzLovesIt

Yelp
LASA is a casual Filipino dining spot. It has ample parking space out front. The service wasn't outstanding during our first visit, the few people that were working there lacked friendliness. Despite being the only people there, our order took a while to come out. Lechon Kawali Roll - 8.5/10 I really enjoyed the sweet soy-garlic glaze, and the element of spiciness with the chili. The lechon itself was juicy and fatty, and the skin was crunchy (perhaps a bit too crunchy because some parts were really hard to chew on). This sandwich was pretty pricey ($18) but was a fairly large portion. I would order this again as a shareable. Sisig Style Fries - 5.5/10 Very similar to carne asada fries, I liked the fried egg that's added on top. This dish lacked a hint of freshness and crunch. The fries were a bit over-cooked and were soggy. I would enjoy this dish more if there something to balance the grease, since it got overwhelming after a few bites. Purple Paradise - 1/10 This "shake" was not thick at all, since it was simply an ube milk tea. I've had better ube drinks from Happy Lemon, and this was NOT worth $9. The boba pearls were gelatinous (the texture was really off-putting) and tasted old. I would not try the "pearls" again unfortunately. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming here again to share a sandwich. But I would say other parts of the menu are severely lacking for its price. I also did not enjoy the ambiance at this location and would prefer just getting take out.

Yelp
First time in and the location is convenient right on 99. They have very limited vegetarian options (exactly one sandwich, and it does have subtle spice that builds in your mouth over time) but their ingredients are definitely fresh, and the White Rabbit Coffee was awesome. The ambience is casual and they have a few tall tables for dining in (so not really accessible to those with mobility challenges), the volume of the music was pretty loud too. The person who took our order was efficient but not very friendly, getting a lot more so, animated, and even enthusiastic when talking with the several other people in the kitchen between dealing with customers. Overall idk if we'll be back for a full meal since I've tried the entirety of their veg selection, but definitely will come in to try more beverages!

Yelp
I am not that well versed in Filipino food, but all of the pictures that I saw of LASA sandwiches caught my interest. The staff were very friendly, able to answer any questions, and gave some recommendations on what to eat. What amazed me the most was how massive the sandwiches are. We ordered the lechon kawali roll to share, along with the sisig fries, and that was a smart idea on our part. The lechon in the sandwich was largely cut that it was difficult to close the sandwich up. The lechon cuts were also pretty fatty, but the lettuce in the sandwich was dressed in some sauce that helped balance and cut through the fattiness. It is definitely a very heavy sandwich but the flavors were great. It was also very messy to eat and kept falling apart due to how much was in between the bread. The sisig fries were my favorite part of the meal (though I just love fries in general). There was an egg and a good amount of sisig topping the crispy fries. The flavors really complemented each other! I would come back here just for the fries. Overall, I found LASA to be a little too heavy and greasy for myself to come back very often. The flavors were very enjoyable though and I would come back as a treat.

Yelp
I've been to Lasa many times. I'm addicted to the Lechon Kawali roll, also they have a very good rice bowl with the crunchy pork on it. I have tried the meatball sandwich, the meatballs were a bit tough. The regular fries were plentiful and good, but I feel like they are nowhere nearly as good as the sandwiches and not needed (I haven't tried the loaded fries yet.) The place is small, maybe 20 seats. Service is always warm and welcoming. You might miss Lasa as you speed by on highway 99. Plenty of parking!

Yelp
I've hit up a rash of Filipino restaurants lately, and I will definitely give LASA another shot. I got the Fili-Bisteak and truly enjoyed it. The food did take a little over 20 minutes but it was definitely fresh & hot. I had a couple tough pieces of steak, but I suppose that's the risk with any steak sandwich. I definitely want to try more of the menu!

Yelp
Anything Filipino-inspired definitely will catch my attention. The online order process was easy and despite them being busy during lunch hour, the wait was very reasonable. Honestly I wanted to order all their sandwiches, but settled for the following: --Lechon Kawali Roll: It's hard mess up Filipino pork belly and it had a nice kick with the soy glaze (almost Hoisin sauce-like) and chili. --Chicken Tocino: Had the lowest expectation, but was surprised the most by the flavor combo. If anything the cabbage slaw was way too sour and took away from the chicken. --Lumpia Sub: Disappointed as the meatball taste was just off, and left me wanting more of a classic lumpia flavor. Overall a small hidden place with unique offerings. I'd want to return to try the rest of the main menu at least the best time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Our friend was craving sweets one day and brought us to LASA where she suggested to get a Halo-Halo. It was a great mixture and brought me back to the first time I had Halo-Halo. It was both refreshing and delicious on a hot day.

Yelp
If you're looking for dinner plans in the Lynnwood area, stop by LASA Sandwiches & Pearls for a loaded, Filipino-inspired sandwich. They're open until 7pm, and are available for takeout or dine-in. My friends and I ordered the: - Lechon Kawali Roll - You can never go wrong with thicc lechon! Loved the flavoring on this, but it was a little on the saltier side in comparison with the Fili-Bistek - Fili-Bistek - What a fun take on the Philly cheesesteak! The top sirloin in this sandwich was tender and pair well with the crunchy French roll - Sisig Style Fries - This side was perfect to share amongst the four of us - Halo Halo - Last but not least, dessert! I haven't tried too many places with halo halo, but this was a refreshing way to end the meal. We were all pretty impressed by the sandwiches and definitely want to come back to try more of their menu.
google avatar

Paolo B.

Yelp
Why did they change the recipe? It's not as good as I remember it. The Lechon Kawali got drowned in sauce that it lost a lot of the crisp it's known for.
google avatar

Eleana S.

Yelp
Finally! We sampled Lasa Sandwiches and Pearls--a Filipino culinary experience. Opting for a rice-free option, I tried the Longganisa with eggs and bread, beef lumpia, and Taho milk tea. Meanwhile, Luke opted for the adobo sandwich. I personally preferred the adobo over the Longganisa. It's a unique and worthwhile experience, especially if you haven't tried it before!
google avatar

Pryme T.

Yelp
The food was not good at all I ordered the Breakfast Longanisa Sandwich and the Lumpia and the meat for the Lumpia was not very tasty and I had to take out the meat from the Longanisa Breakfast Sandwich because I couldn't stand the taste after a few bites I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE

Yelp
This is a solid 4 stars and I'm glad to finally try it. My friend and I came around opening time and we were the only one there. It seems like most people do takeout but we opted for dine in. We got: Lechon sandwich $16 - this was a Massive sandwich. Very Instagram worthy. It was good but there was definitely a lot of fat on it. My friend didn't care for the fat so she took it out which ended up to be like 1/3 of the sandwich... Pressed adobo $13 - this was a pretty good sandwich. A little messy but very flavorful I also ordered some takeout for my husband :) Fil-bistek $14 -also super flavorful and my husband loved it. Also very messy Sisig fries $10- I asked if they can keep things separately so it doesn't get mushy and they were able to accommodate for it which was nice. We were able to bring it home, heated up the fries and put the toppings on and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the fries. Overall,a solid sandwich shop. Definitely can see myself coming back to try their other offering

blue z.

Yelp
First time getting to try any Filipino food (not many around this area). Lechon was great, but I'm biased as I'm a sucker for fatty pork. The best discovery for me was the calamansi drink. On its own its super tart/sour (which I enjoy super sour things), but definitely a must have with any of their rich food items. Normally they say savory and sweet pairs well together, but here its savory and sour. I didn't get to try their desserts, so next time I go will probably pick one up.
google avatar

Kiera M.

Yelp
LASA has been on my list for a while and it didn't disappoint! Great flavors and enormous portions. We got the chicken sandwich, lumpia sub and lumpia. All were delicious. Can't wait to try the drinks, they looked amazing.
google avatar

Alice O.

Yelp
We had the lechon kawali roll and the lumpia. The roll itself (I.e. the bread) was quite good despite me not being a big fan of bread. The pork's flavor was nice but the roll as a whole was difficult to eat through as the pork skin was difficult to bite and there was quite a bit of fat on the pork. The lumpia was also okay in comparison to other lumpia I've had in the Seattle market. The store smelled a bit like trash which took away from the experience as soon as you stepped in. I think keeping the restaurant tidy will do wonders in improving the ambiance.
google avatar

Kou L.

Yelp
I was drawn here by their pork belly roll and I was not disappointed. It was very yummy. It was huge too so I only ate half. We also got the adobo chicken sandwich and that was good but we felt it was not worth the price. The service was pleasant and their desserts looked really good! We definitely want to come back and try those next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Fast service and delicious sandwiches. We really enjoyed our lunch here. Lots of variety of sandwiches and desserts and drinks.

Yelp
I haven't explored Filipino food that much but I do love sandwiches! Lasa is a small spot just off Highway 99 in Lynnwood serving up some creative sandwiches and desserts! My friend and I got the Lechon kawali roll, fili-bistek, and halo-halo. The lechon is sublime! Great flavor, crispy, and super juicy and fatty. The sweet soy glaze really takes it over the top. It is super messy but what great sandwich isn't? The Fili-bistek is a nice homage to the classic Philly but nothing really sets it apart. The meat is kinda chewy too...But the Halo-halo is just a monster of a dessert. I mean look at it! Loved that it wasn't too sweet. Follow my Instagram and TikTok @thephotographerfoodie! :)

Yelp
Ordered the pork belly sandwich and sisig fries. Both were good but also meh at the same time haha. I don't think I would come back but that's more of personal preference. The pork belly sandwich is HUGE and def it will very filling. However, most of the meat is just pure pork belly fat which can get a bit overwhelming at times and the skin on top was fried too much making it extremely hard to chew through. The sisig fries were initially pretty good with the fried egg, however the fries were extremely crunchy (almost burned) and there were barely any pork sisig. Flavor was there for both of them, however the texture and overwhelming fat was just a bit too much for me.

Yelp
The thought of Filipino sandwiches intrigued us so we decided to come here for lunch during our visit to Lynnwood. This restaurant is located in a plaza so there was ample parking. It can be a little hidden since the signage is small and the windows were covered. It's a small space inside with some tables and some counter seats facing the walls. We ordered the lechón kawali roll ($14) and the fili-bistek ($12). The lechón had such a crispy skin and fatty meat. It was very flavorful and we couldn't get enough of that and the glaze. I did think that the hoagie bun was just okay though and the way the meat is set up makes it difficult to eat as a sandwich. I think I would prefer it in a rice bowl than a sandwich but unfortunately that's not an option. Also note that the sandwich comes with Thai chilis and the spice can surprise you so be aware. The fili-bistek was like a Filipino cheesesteak and I liked the meat and there was a pretty good cheese pull. I really liked the lechón but everything else was just okay. If I could order it on a bed of rice drizzled with the glaze with some veggies I'd definitely make a return visit here.

Yelp
Was excited to visit especially with all I've heard but didn't quite leave fulfilling my expectations - I thought one sandwich was great (Fili-bistek) but the others were more standard. Drinks can be hit or miss in the same way. With the right choices, I can see why there was a lot of hype but overall with the entire menu, I think the combination of hits and misses lead to an average experience. Fili-bistek- like a Philly cheesesteak so it'll satisfy those cravings. Decent cheese pull. The hoagie bun stayed strong throughout. All the flavors worked well together and were well balanced. I'd come back for this sandwich in particular, so I'd recommend. Pressed Adobo - after I finished this, I was extremely thirsty for hours. There must've been a hefty amount of sodium despite not being a salty sandwich. The contents of this sandwich were great but the french roll was super soggy around the middle so it not only fell apart, but was also inconsistent with each bite. I appreciated the crispier, tougher edges but the central bites were not as satisfying with too much oil and sauce drenching the roll. Adobo Fried Chicken - chicken was a bit tough and not overly juicy. It's a bigger piece of chicken and extends beyond the brioche bun which is nice but being the bulk of the sandwich, the chicken could use more of anything to help it shine. Otherwise, it was really like a basic chicken sandwich you can get at many places. Taho Milk Tea - lacked flavor, Milo is already pretty mild but it was like drinking slightly powdered water. Soy pudding tasted like soy milk which was good. Liquid lacked a strong taste though and made the bulk of the drink. Boracay Breeze - sour drink with some chewy jelly in the gulaman. On its own it's not that good but paired with a greasy sandwich, the two make a decent combo. They didn't add pearls to this drink even though it's supposedly included. Purple Paradise - pretty strong ube slush, strong resemblance to taro as expected but honestly I thought it was taro instead of ube due to the stronger flavor. I loved this drink on it's own but the boba wasn't that good so overall it was alright.

Yelp
My hubby wanted to try their Lechon sandwich so we finally tried this place. He was happy with the Lechon but it was too fatty for my taste. My daughter had the adobo fried chicken & she said it tasted ok. My son & I got the fili-bistek. The fili-bistek was really awful, all I tasted was salt & black pepper which I hate. It was so salty, dry & very overpowered by black pepper, I couldn't eat it. Even my husband(whose not a picky eater)was surprised how overpowering it was by black pepper. Also, their beef lumpia was horrible. I gave 2-stars only because my husband liked his sandwich.
google avatar

Marie R.

Yelp
My friend and I drove to Lynnwood specifically for this place! I hate driving for an hour just to get one tiny thing so I got two sandwiches! I got the lechon kawali sandwich and the adobo friend chicken sandwich as well as the calamansi lemonade. The lemonade was super sour so I couldn't even finish it. But I am still giving this place 5 stars because I love the crispy chicken sandwich! I wish the bread was a bit bigger so i have more bread with the chicken, but I can overlook that because the chicken was so crispy and flavorful! The lechon kawali was good too. They give 4 huge pieces of lechon strips with each sandwich, which made it hard to eat as you normally would most other sandwiches, but why would I complain about more meat???? All in all, this is a cool Filipino sandwich shop. The 5 stars is for the adobo chicken sandwich. Excluding that, I'd probably give this place 4 stars.

Yelp
I went to Lasa with my sister based on her recommendation. Located near 188th, Lasa is easy to find and faces 99. Out of all the food we ordered, my favorite was the Purple Paradise drink. I know, that's not really food, but deal with it. Maybe because the purple drinks are all the rage right now, but I loved the flavor and the crunchy topping. I really enjoyed the sisig fries as well, great flavor, however, I wouldn't recommend it as a take-away unless you ask for the fries and the sisig topping to be packaged separately so that the fries don't get soggy on the journey home. I had the lechon kawali and the flavor and the meat was amazing. I would definitely go back and ask for it again. I love how the menu and atmosphere are simple and food really speaks for itself. I wish they had a bigger seating area or an outdoor seating area though.

Yelp
I saw this place pop off on social media and decided to give it a go. I ordered their Lechon Kawali Roll ($14) and Sisig fries ($8). I have mixed feelings on each, let me explain: Lechon Kawali Roll - 4/5 VERY VERY VERY FATTY, but it's pork belly so I guess that was expected. I just wish there was a little more of something other than lettuce to help cut the fat from every bite. Every bite was just mouthfuls of fat and I had to end up discarding a lot of the fat because I couldn't in my good conscience eat it all for the sake of my health. I'm talking 4 GIANT slabs of pork belly thrown onto a bed of lettuce and into a hoagie roll. Don't get me wrong, the pork belly was well seasoned and tender. The skin of the pork belly skin was crisp, but not super crispy/crackling skin like you find at asian BBQ shops. Overall, this sandwich was very pleasing for the first few bites, but I just couldn't bear to eat all in fear of a heart attack. If you really love pork belly, I could see how this could be your jam though, just beware that it's not healthy at all. Sisig Fries - 4/5 First time trying Sisig fries, these were an absolute party in my mouth except for one thing. Way too salty. Maybe next time I'll ask them to season the fries with less salt and then I'd absolutely rank their fries a 5/5. The fries were crispy, there were chunks of pork and melt in your mouth pork fat, the runny sunny side egg on top was a nice touch, there was a mild bit of heat and a dash of sour with an extra lime wedge on the side if needed. All these flavors complemented each other very well and I'm super glad I tried it, but on a similar note to the lechon kawali roll... just beware that these fries are gonna be extra unhealthy compared to other fries because of all the pork fat that's mixed in. Overall, good tasting comfort food, but just beware of your health. Also, this place is literally a stones throw away from the Lynnwood DOL, so next time you're there might as well give this place a try!

Yelp
I haven't had too much Filipino food so I was excited to try this place out since I was in the area to pick up a battery pack for a trip to Japan. I got the lechon kawali roll, which was extremely good! As other reviews have noted, it's hella greasy. When I was done, I wiped my hands on a napkin and it was completely transparent! I wouldn't eat it very often but it's a nice to have once in a while. The restaurant is kinda small, in a strip mall so you can plan accordingly. Service is kinda slow too but it is a busy spot so that's how you know it's good. If you're in Lynnwood, definitely consider this place! I refrained from getting more items on hearing about the huge portions!

Yelp
Filipino food in sandwich form! Sort of a genius and tasty idea. This place does not skimp on fillings! Every one I tried had meat that their respective buns simply had no hope of containing!! Lechon kawali sandwich: crispy skin and layers of fatty meaty goodness! As forewarned, they do no skimp on the meat so you have to pull out some of the lechon before you can actually fit this in your mouth! Adobo fried chicken sandwich: I am addicted to this newish trend of deep fried Adobo chicken! They used breast meat here (I usually prefer thigh) but the adobo marinade keeps the usually boring white meat flavorful. I am for sure going to go back to try more options!

Yelp
I know, late to the party again, since LASA Sandwiches and Pearls has been open since June 2021. But after seeing the drool worthy IG/Yelp photos, glowing write ups from The Stranger, Eater Seattle, other regional sites, and now earlier today from The Seattle Times, figured I better get my act together and head north (2/2/22). I placed my online order an hour prior for a 1130 pickup, easy peasy ordering site. Regardless what route I took via I-5 or 99, it's a 25-30 minute drive each way from Shoreline. They are located in an strip mall off of 180th SW and Hwy 99 in between a dentist office and barber shop, diagonal from the Lynnwood DOL/DMV. Friendly greeting once it was my turn at the front counter. Looks like it was hopping in the back kitchen. My order was ready as promised, nicely wrapped and packed in a sturdy takeout bag (8 cent charge). I also started a beverage punch card. Currently there is no onsite dining, strictly takeout. The Homie selected the Lechon Kawali Roll ($14) and Taho Milk Tea ($5.50). This generous sandwich contained thick cut crispy pork belly with sweet soy glaze, chili herb garnish, greens on a hoagie roll. His beverage choice was Milo milk tea with silky soybean custard and pearls. Surprisingly, this did him in despite his voracious appetite. For me, I gravitated towards the Fili-Bistek ($12) and Boracay Breeze ($5.50). Inventive Filipino spin on the classic Philly cheesesteak. I loved the ratio of copious grilled steak to bread and the elevated flavors from the soy marinade, grilled onions, provolone cheese, and red peppers. The bread got a bit soggy in transit, but with assistance The Homie, I was able to polish this off. If you eat this on the go, make sure to grab additional napkins. The bright green Boracay Breeze beverage was literally pucker up, smack yo momma tart from the fresh squeezed orange and calamansi with gulaman and pearls. I can see this diluted a bit with additional ice water or club soda. The cost with bag surcharge, tax and tip was under $47 - but note easily their generous, succulent, flavorful sandwiches are shareable or with ample leftovers. Definitely bring your appetite! Future visit - I have my eyes on the breakfast longanisa sandwich, lumpia, and sisig fries. Maybe try the halo halo dessert or Spiced Barako beverage. Terrific north end culinary find!

Yelp
Had the Lechon Kawali Roll, Sisig Style Fries and a Purple Paradise. The beverage was my favorite item. Shared the fries with a friend; I could've eaten the whole thing alone. The fried egg on top is a new way of eating fries for me. Super delicious. The sandwich was a letdown for me because I dislike tough food. If I had known they would cook the pork belly so hard I wouldn't have ordered it. If you like rock hard skin and fatty pork, then this would be your jam. The roll they used was really good. Small place with bar stool seating only so we couldn't dine here, but ate in the car. Cashier apologized when we asked for to go boxes and mentioned the seating before we did. Expect a wait for your order or order to go. Definitely going back for more fries, the lumpia, and tasty drinks. I look forward to trying other sandwiches.

Yelp
This place is less than 2 miles from my house, I drive by it all the time, and have looked it up on Yelp before, but haven't tried LASA until today! A friend went earlier this week, saying she saw an article in the Seattle Times about it. So I was like, I have to try it ASAP now. I placed my order online, and it took about 30 min for the food to be ready, ordering a lil before 12 pm, and picking up by 12:30 pm. We ordered: - Lechon Sandwich x2 - lumpia Sub (which was like a meatball sandwich) - lumpia - halo halo - french fries - order came out to $66.94 I would say this place is on the pricier end for sandwich shops, but the sandwiches are THICK and have a ton of meat in them. I got the lechon, and the pork was delicious IMO! Cody was not a fan, but he doesn't like lechon in general, so his opinion doesn't count here. We both really liked the lumpia. It was crispy and the sauce was good. As for his lumpia meatball sub, that was $14, and cost just as much as the lechon, he said it was ok. It kind felt to me like a bahn mi on steroids? I took a bite and thought it was good. The halo halo was beautifully made, which I am not a big halo halo fan, and I thought some of the fruit/jelly on the bottom was weird, but I think it's pretty good for the drink. I would come here and try their other items on the menu next time! and would def get the lechon and lumpia again!

Yelp
After seeing tons of pictures in IG, I knew that I needed to go check out LASA up in Lynnwood. My S.O. just informed me that LASA means 'taste' in Tagalog, and DAMN those sandwiches that they're dishing out are tasty and masarap (delicious)! The menu is simple and straightforward; with six different sandwiches, three sides, and five Special Pearl Drinks. Truthfully everything on the menu sounded great! But if you're still unsure what to get ask the people behind the counter. My goal was to get the Lechon Kawali Roll ($14, and the #1 item): Crispy pork belly smothered in a sweet soy glaze on a bun. We also got second favourite Filipino item which was the Breakfast Longanisa ($10). Longanisa is a ground up pork sausage/ patty usually sweet and/or spicy. Super flavorful and usually eaten with rice and vinegar. The Breakfast Longanisa is exactly what you'd expect from a perfect breakfast sandwich! Super soft scrambled egg with the savory pork patty and melty cheese! Super messy if you're not careful but wow, this is a sandwich that, like breakfast for me, you can eat at any point in the day. The Lechon Kawali Roll, was such a game changer! The skin was super crispy even when the sweet soy sauce drizzled all over it. I honestly didn't expect it to taste so good. I'm not usually a fan of shredded lettuces, but everything balanced so nicely. The amount of fat in the pork belly melted so perfectly in every bite and yet you still get a crunch from the skin. I can see why this is the #1 sandwich. The last thing we got was the Purple Paradise ($6.50), Ube ice cream with halaya (purple yam jam), ube pastillas crumble and pearls. If you like ube, this is the drink to get. Its super creamy and the pearls they were serving up were so soft and chewy! (**note: if you like your bubble tea 50% sweet normally, then it maybe a bit sweet for you) Next time I'm up that way I'm probably going to grab the Sisig Style Fries and a Halo-Halo! Go support this small business, they have amazing food that will make your taste buds so happy.

Yelp
Food was a new take on traditional dishes in a sandwich , refreshing. Service was quick and efficient. The store was clean and traffic was consistent.

Yelp
Since I was in the neighborhood I decided to try this place out. The food was ok. It really is different as it's Filipino fusion. The sandwich was different..good but not anything I would drive out of my way to get again.

Yelp
Best lumpia ever. My family are frequent patrons of Lasa. Once we tried their lumpia we now get it every time we go and get some for take out as well. The halo halo is good too but fairly spendy.

Yelp
If you want filipino fusion sandwiches then this is the place to go. I got the lumpia meatball sandwich that was served liked a bahn mi sandwich. It was really good. I make a huge mess so these may be best with a fork and knife. Its a small location with some dine in seating.

Yelp
There are no words to describe how favorful & delicious the lechon kawali roll is. It's massive! It comes with 4 big slices of well seasoned pork with the right amount of crunchiness but still very juicy. Definitely had to remove the other 2 slices of pork and set it to the side or else I wouldn't have been able to close the buns to take a bite. Haha! We also got regular fries & lumpiang shanghai (which was cooked to perfection) Very small space but staff were very welcoming & nice. Lots of parking & very easy to find

Yelp
A nice small Filipino restaurant with easy to find parking. Wasn't a big fan of the lechon kawali sandiwch as it was difficult to eat but the chicken Adobe sandiwch was surprisingly good! Also enjoyed the sisig fries which were good. There was not much of a line when we went around lunch time. Love the vibes inside!

Yelp
Great sandwich place with a Filipino twist. Will definitely be back to try all the other items. Family friendly - yes but this restaurant is not made for anyone bringing in a car seat. All chairs inside are stool. Pet friendly - kind of. There are two small table outside BUT the area is so tiny, its pretty much a sidewalk. Parking - yes, shared lot with other business in the area. FOOD: 1. Lumpia $6 - Crispy beef spring rolls: An order comes with 6 rolls that are cut in half. The inside is flavorful and the exterior is crispy and nicely golden. 2. Adobe Fried Chicken $12 (Adobe marinated fried chicken, sili pipino, roasted jalapeno sauce, lettuce, brioche bun): I think my favorite out of the three sandwiches. The chicken is moist on the inside but crispy on the outside. I will say, this is the chicken sandwich you wish they serve at fast food places. 3. Lechon Kawali Roll $14 (Crispy pork belly, sweet soy glaze, chili herb garnish, hoagie bun): The pork is amazing!! The skin is super crispy and has great flavor. The only disappointment is there is missing some kind of a sauce such as a spicy aioli. Without the sauce, the sandwich is dry even if the pork is amazing. 4. Fili-Bistek $12 not pictured (Soy marinated grilled steak, onions, peppers, provolone cheese, hoagie bun): This was my least favorite of the three but not by much. All three sandwiches were great. The steak was juicy and the provolone cheese complimented the flavor well. RESTAURANT/LOCATION/INTERIOR: Small restaurant but clean. Lighting is a little dim which is a little odd for a restaurant. I like that the menu is small and they do it so well. STAFF: Meet a couple of the team working, cashier and wait staff. Everyone was friendly and well informed. You order and they will deliver the food to you.

Yelp
This place was highlighted in The Seattle Times for a reason. Original and authentic, their famous BBQ sandwich checked all the marks, crispy, juicy, tender and flavorful.

Yelp
LASA in Lynnwood is fire! Love the concept and creative menu! If you like Filipino food and like sandwiches this is the spot for you. Its the Filipino flavors in a sandwich form, a good sandwich. I like the simplicity of only just a few choices of sandwiches, sides and drinks. The sandwiches are high in flavor and decent in size. The proteins were all well made and had the Filipino flavors I really love. The Sig Sig fries is a plus. Get it , full flavor with onions, garlic and chilis topped with a sunny side up egg. The drinks were a treat, we also got the halo halo cuz you had to . Overall very satisfied with the food, small , busy and very clean place. Please be patient, everybody wants the sandwiches so wait and be kind. Get here !

Yelp
I'm Filipino and it's always great to find Filipino restaurants in the general area. I came across this place while searching food within Lynnwood. My husband and I ordered our food to-go from here. We ordered their "Fili Bistek", which is a version of a Philly cheese steak, but with Filipino bistek. This sandwich was excellent and only $12! We had to order the lumpia, which was also very tasty for only $6. Overall, we enjoyed our food a lot and plan to come back here again.

Yelp
I LOVE Filipino food. So when I heard about this place in the local news I quickly added it onto my local foodie list. It did not disappoint. The lechon sandwich is a MUST get. The portions are super generous and pricing is reasonable. The sandwich comes with 4 THICK crispy slices of pork so you WILL be full. I honestly would have been happy with just two slices! We also got the lumpia meatball sandwich. I love the concept with the crispy lumpia wrap inside. The meatballs itself could be a bit juicier/ softer for my preference but overall it's a solid sandwich. Also got a halo halo which was yummy! Can't wait to come back and try more sandwiches and drinks!!!
