It is the perfect place to chill and enjoy ice cream, the patio has a beautiful vibe and it is certainly the best part of the shop. We tried mint oreo, chocolate chip, cotton candy and chocolate m&m's and let me tell you, each one was better than the other… it is amazing the amount of different flavors they have to offer, you really can’t go wrong. If you are looking for a creamy and tasty ice cream, this is the way to go, plus the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I totally recommend Lazy Bear.

I tried the bubblegum ice cream at Lazy Bear Creamery and it was an amazing experience. The flavor was just what I expected—sweet, creamy, and with that nostalgic touch that makes it perfect. Plus, the texture was smooth and super enjoyable. The place has a very cozy atmosphere, and the service was excellent. I loved it so much that I’ll definitely be coming back in the summer to enjoy it again. Highly recommended!

What a treat to have such a great ice cream shop right here in Dorchester! Our family tried the black cherry chip, watermelon ice, and cotton candy and all were fantastic. And they don’t skimp on the serving sizes!

Delicious, rich, luxurious ice cream with some very interesting flavors too! We originally visited Lazy Bear shortly after it had just opened. We were back in Boston on vacation in 2025 and wanted to give it another try: it was everything we remembered and more! If you like premium ice cream, I highly recommend Lazy Bear!

Update 4/5: Flavors are super tasty! I really enjoyed the Gimmie Cookie and Seventh Sin. The chocolate lazy bar was excellent too. The first time I came here, the pint wasn’t packed full which was super disappointing. BUT the owner Matty (if you can see the Google response) acknowledged the mistake and invited me back to try another pint! The gesture was incredibly appreciated and I am definitely more likely to come back in the future. They have a ton of flavors that regularly rotate, so I would recommend giving this place a shot.

One of the best ice cream spots in the area! They have good hours (unlike the others in Quincy that close early) and a great selection of flavors. Their homemade ice cream is far superior to the majority of other options in the area that carry generic, mediocre brands.

Lazy Bear is the best! Matt the owner is a great guy. They have the best ice cream selection around with anything you can imagine as toppings. If you’re in the area this is the place to go!

People working were wonderful! They let us taste test any of the flavors….Which everything tastes amazing. Super smooth icecream. They offered us free mini samples of theyre epic hot chocolate. And then before we left…they gave us a free full size hot chocolate with vanilla whipped cream. 10/10 recommend!!! Super sweet place too. Love the swing chairs.

Dining method: Counter-serve and they have patio seating off to the side and a few (literally like three) seats indoors. Item(s) ordered: 1 scoop, half Banana Chip and half Coffee Value: 1 scoop at is gigantic. Please keep it up, Lazy Bear. I love it. The Review: I'm trying to think of one thing I didn't like about Lazy Bear and I just can't. I guess the flavors could be more creative. But it was SO good. I loved every moment of my Banana Chip and Coffee mixed scoop. I'd recommend the Banana for anyone who likes a creamy, milky flavor like caramel or maple. And where do they get their chocolate? It is divine. Lazy Bear is a great place to hang with friends, especially the outside area. I didn't get to try the black raspberry, mint chip, chocolate, or maple, so I guess I have to make a reappearance...5/5 thanks so much, Lazy Bear.

Great little spot located conveniently next to Garvey Playground. The ice cream was thick and creamy and the millennial vibes were fun. There was a nice variety of flavors but we stuck with raspberry Oreo and strawberry which were both delicious. The portion sizes were decent for the price and the swings were fun to eat on. It is a bit tight inside but the line moved fast. It was pretty bustling for a rainy weekday night. Parking is limited to street parking.

Amazing ice cream. One of the best in Boston as well as the area. Charming locally owned shop in the Dorchester neighborhood. The flavors are well done, especially for hard ice cream. Highly recommend trying it!

Stopped in for ice cream. There was a short line outside (7:30PM) but the line moved quick. 30 flavors change often. A good selection. I got strawberry chip. It taste like chocolate covered strawberries. A single scoop was huge ($5.99). Everyone in our group enjoyed their flavors. The staff is friendly and will spoon you up a taste of anything you want. Try the cotton candy. You will be pleasantly surprised! Highly recommend you try this and you will be back

Solid ice cream shop. It is family owned and sauces and ice cream flavors are made there too. You can sample ice cream flavors before deciding on your order. Recently bought banana lazy bar and it was delicious. Who knew banana flavored ice cream can be decadent and tasty. It doesn't have any bitter artificial aftertaste. The crumble outside wasn't crazy sweet and had a lovely texture.

Nicest staff and the most amazing ice cream! Each time I go I find my new favorite flavor. I'm addicted! White chocolate chip is a must try! Only thing missing is delivery!

This place rocks!! Some quality ice cream at a fair price. Our servers were very helpful in helping us choose. This place is very cute on the inside with a few swings at a seating bar by the window.

The best ice cream in the world. I'm not kidding we've had a lot of ice cream and this was just next level. There was actually a cheese pull effect to it which is due to the premium butter fat content?? Or something like that. The amazing owner told us all about it and he grew up down the street! I am so grateful to have gone. Price- great. Size- unreal. He let us do three in a small because it's so annoying when they don't let you do stuff like that and he's a real one. Wow the gingerbread, the pumpkin Oreo, the coffee, the cotton candy, the mint chip..just delicious.

Ordered a medium of 2 different flavors. This was what I got. For $8, I'd expect it to be a little more robust in the portion. It didn't come close to filling the cup and as you can see, the flavor on top was basically one large spoonful. The ice cream itself was tasty but the portion was meager. Sadly disappointing.

LOVE Lazy Bear! The ice cream is so fresh- they continually have new flavors. The owner is there on site- hands on- the customer service is great! The portion sizes are huge. Definitely worth a trip- I'm glad I live so close.

Quality ice cream. Local shop run by extremely friendly and personable owner. Everything tasted great. Nice outdoor seating area on the side of the building. Owner doubted my ability to eat three scoops by myself (probably because I'm a skinny old guy) but never doubt my ice cream consuming abilities.

Right off the bat- This place is adorable! The theme is cohesive in the flavors, wallpaper, logo and decorations. The service was very friendly- offering samples and flavor explanations freely. I landed on muddy river - highly recommend for anyone who loves chunky/stuffed ice cream. We also got a scoop of coffee Oreo and it was equally delicious. Sitting in the swings and enjoying your ice cream is quite the joyful experience!

Super cute creamery, decorated very nicely! Nice variety of flavors, some with unique names as well! Staff was really nice and patient while I was struggling to decide what flavor I wanted . I went with one scoop of the tsunami which was vanilla ice cream with brownie, chocolate chips, and fudge pieces. It was really yummy! Nice flavor and texture. The scoop was a generous portion as well. I also tried an ice cream sandwich which was good as well. Overall, would definitely recommend checking this place out!

We're hooked on Lazy Bear! We found out they get their ice cream from Nona's Homemade Ice Cream (Hingham) which is one of my all-time favorites, so this is a closer alternative for us! We love the unique flavors and oreo combinations. The staff is always incredibly friendly and considerate, asking "which flavor would you like on the bottom?" when you get two scoops, and offering the dogs a pup cup (with homemade whipped cream). Prices are reasonable for their generous portions. Love the swinging seats inside and outdoor seating for summer!

Our new favorite ice cream spot! The team is really welcoming and the ice cream was delicious. You can tell it's all done with care and Matty was a great guide to all of the flavors. Flavors are also updated regularly on the link in their Instagram which is helpful to know before you go. The inside is adorable as well and my daughter loved the swings. Can't wait to come back all summer and get an ice cream birthday cake in August!

Wow, I never realized how few ice cream shops in the city there are. I am so excited to have found this gem of a spot. Everyone was extremely friendly and great vibes all around. We enjoyed the indoor swing and decor of the place. But of course the ice cream was clearly homemade and phenomenal. They had great flavors, some great classics for kids like cotton candy, bubble gum, and a concoction of vanilla with gummy bears, chocolate chip, and sprinkles. Yum! Parking was easy and there is a great park across the street. Was our first time but absolutely not our last!

Probably the best ice cream I've ever had. Will take a good deal of self restraint to not go here often. My kids love it here just as much. I wish there was more of a seating area, even just outside but otherwise no complaints. It's decorated so cute! The girl behind the counter was so nice and kept asking my son if he wanted to try different flavors and the gentleman (maybe owner) was equally kind and welcoming. Definitely recommend this cute place!

Lazy Bear is bomb! Delicious, unique flavors and toppings (like homemade caramel whipped cream), exceptional customer service, and adorable aesthetic (inside and on the patio). They also offer ice cream cakes and sandwiches which I can't wait to try!

Every flavor I tried was delicious, from watermelon ice to butter pecan to what I ultimately got, maple grapenut My girlfriend got a super chocolatey one called muddy water but she tried the north end and said it was great too The staff is incredibly friendly and the ambiance is so welcoming. They even have indoor swings to sit and eat your delicious sweet treat. This is my new ice cream spot, without a doubt. I can't wait to come back and try more of their options

OMG!!! This is exactly what this neighborhood needed! They have thought of everything here! Decor is unique and fits well with the vibe. I guess a lazy bear is a sloth hence the flavor names, Tucan Treat, Lazy forager, salty sloth, monkey mania and more. Def stoping in again and again! Staff was so friendly. This is such a cute ice cream spot in Dorchester. The vibes are impeccable. It doesn't hurt that the ice cream and staff are also next level. They have the most to die for hot fudge and my whole family is obsessed with their ice cream sandwiches.

Calling all ice cream lovers. This new gem in the heart of Neponset cannot be missed. The little store front houses the very best coffee heath bar crunch ice cream I have ever had. 5 stars all around. Do yourself a favor and pay the a visit. The have a wide selection of flavorles, the indoor swings remind me of child hood and the little outdoor seating are right beside the store is a dream. I highly recommend s paying them a visit.
