Where To Have A Great £10 Meal With The ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ Scheme

"The modern shawarma spot is open Monday to Wednesday, and with EOTHO their ‘bab and chips’ - an order that will roll off the tongue for many in London - is just £5. So it would be rude not to throw in a doner beignet too." - jake missing

London’s Best Thanksgiving Dinners for 2019 - Eater London

"The seminal London barbecue restaurant will return some time in the new year, but will be resurrected briefly for a one-off Thanksgiving dinner in the basement of Maison Bab Basement, Mercer Walk in Covent Garden. With only 50 tickets on sale, priced at £75, expect picklebacks, scratchings, pulled pork bun served with bread and butter pickles, bone marrow mash, and free-flowing wine." - Apoorva Sripathi

I have to say we received the best service from Manager & staff. My daughter has multiple food allergies and we were given excellent choices of food from menu that catered for her. Highly recommend booking table as this place is popular. Halal. Delicious food made fresh and friendly staff. 10/10 Thank you for being so helpful.

The food was really delicious but a bit overpriced for the portions you get, that is one star down from me. The staff were really welcoming and nice and the food came really quickly, and was presented beautifully. My husband's kebab order came with a kitchen letter and mine was without. He did struggle a bit when eating as the paper was getting in the food, so my suggestion would be not to put papers on the kebabs. The other thing is that when we were ordering the waitress kept saying this is a bit spicy are you okay with that, to which we confirmed that we are okay several times, but this does not affect the star rating. I would recommend this place to others, although we are not coming back and that is only because of the prices and portions I would suggest the Dirty Bab and loaded fries

It is very unique food and very tasty. The location is nice and there is an inside and outside table and the staff are friendly but the service is a little slow due to the crowd. Thanx to Alex and Hassan for their service. I advice u to try the mix mezza

Had a dinner booking yesterday evening, and when it comes to the food here I cannot fault it, everything was absolutely delicious. However, we did feel rather let down by the portion size based on the price we paid and were very disappointed with the service from our servers who were not very welcoming or friendly unfortunately, and this created a rather unpleasant atmosphere. After being seated we had rather a long wait before having our order taken, although once we’d ordered everything arrived at the table very quickly which was nice. We went for ‘The Dirty Bab’ which was delicious, but for £17 felt like a bit of a rip off based on how much food there actually was. Overall despite the great flavours, I don’t think I’ll be dining here again.

Good taste on the food especially the meats. The brocolli is superb and not to be missed. However the breads are not freshly made and the fries (although named double fry) but were a little limpy. Even the Flatiron Hummus tasted very good but did not look fresh and appetising. We asked for a glass of Proseco and were served half a glass (as can be seen in the photo). I did enquire the size of the pour and was informed that since it was under happy hour, that was the standard size! Really, is that the meaning of the happy hour - you halve the quantity of the pour? Subsequently, i enquired the same from the person who seemed to be the authorised person and he responded that the standard pour was 125ml. The pour served was significantly less than that. Overall, good food, good service but overall some aspects need looking into to make an even better experience.

I recently dined at La Bab in Covent Garden, and I had a great time! The food was really nicefull of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was decent, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The staff were super friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe of the place. I definitely plan on visiting again! If you’re in Covent Garden and looking for a tasty meal, La Bab is definitely worth a try!

With just one night in London, Le Bab was our top choice—and it was perfect! Every dish is packed with bold, unforgettable flavors, and the service is exceptional from start to finish. The atmosphere is vibrant and artistic, creating the perfect setting for an incredible dining experience. If you’re in London, don’t miss this spot!

Bit overpriced for a kebab, but overall a good meal. The menu offer is interesting, not too large but with different choices and while the food is on the heavier side, it tastes good. The open kitchen offers a reassuring view of clean cooking practices. Friendly staff and quick service. Overall, a positive experience.
