Where To Have A Great £10 Meal With The ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ Scheme

"The modern shawarma spot is open Monday to Wednesday, and with EOTHO their ‘bab and chips’ - an order that will roll off the tongue for many in London - is just £5. So it would be rude not to throw in a doner beignet too." - jake missing

London’s Best Chips and Fries | Where to Eat Incredible Chips in London | Eater London

"Since opening in 2015, Le Bab have been proving it’s possible to make high-end kebabs without being a totally tone-deaf about it. Positioned somewhere between après-ski and après-Scala, their double-cooked fries come with their own pan of molten cheese sauce. Dip them into it delicately with a raised pinky-finger, or go down the poutine route and pour the whole lot on top. No word as yet on whether they’ll be served at sibling Maison Bab — soon to open in Covent Garden opposite Temper Three." - Emma Hughes

Le Bab Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"London’s passion for reinventing foodstuffs is matched only by its passionate hatred for reinventing foodstuffs. Try serving fish and chips in any way other than the norm and you risk being lynched, but Le Bab, a modern kebab restaurant, is doing different kebabs that are well worth trying. There’s a lunch menu that’s just three tasty items: pork shawarma with fries, lamb flatbread, and falafel - everything’s is under a tenner, and it’s really quite delicious. This is one of Soho’s best casual and cost-effective daytime options." - Jake Missing

Ideal spot for lunch. Enjoyable meal, food was tasty, menu had a few different options that I would come back for. Service was good, price was very reasonable. I went solo and had a nice spot by the window overlooking the courtyard area. Wouldn't recommend for a dinner but definitely ideal for lunch.

I had the best time here. The restaurant was cute, the waitress was really lovely and friendly, and the food was delicious. I recommend the flat iron hummus (my favourite), the smoked honey halloumi and the butter chicken kebab. It said on Google that Le Bab was started by chefs who previously worked in a Michelin star restaurant and honestly you can really tell in the food, it’s incredibly well made. I’ll defo come again.

Good reliable food and good options of non alcoholic beer and cocktails. Service was great. We had the salad bowls and the kale was perfectly crunchy. Highly recommend the: 🔥 lamb adana or chicken 🔥 pistachio kulfi The place is extremely loud so you'll need to shout even in a group of three but it was a fun vibe.

Unlocked a hidden gem, my new favorite place in London !! Before saying anything about the food, I would like to thank the staff for their warm welcome and making sure that I was comfortable with my surroundings dining in solo, as the place was packed. The food was amazing and fresh!! Definitely coming back! Shukran to Shaz for being fabulous and making my day with an amazing service 💓

Google
Le Bab Soho offers an exquisite gourmet kebab experience in London that both feels upmarket, yet is still reasonably priced. Tucked away on the second floor of Kingly Court by Carnaby Street, this hidden gem is well worth seeking out. Our group enjoyed a fantastic spread, including the Loaded Fries, the Dirty Bab, Hummus, and Halloumi. The standout dish was undoubtedly the Dirty Bab — a masterfully crafted kebab where the lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and rich in flavour, with the pickled cucumbers adding a refreshing contrast. Their signature fondue sauce was the true highlight, tying the dish together beautifully. The Loaded Fries were equally impressive — crisp, flavourful, and well-seasoned, definitely being large enough to share a portion between 2 or even 3 as a side. The hummus was fresh and tasteful, adding a delightful complement to the meal. Unfortunately, the Halloumi didn't quite meet expectations. Priced at £9 for a small portion, it felt a little underwhelming and too small to offer real value as a side. Service was excellent throughout. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and happy to recommend dishes. Once finished, the QR code payment system made splitting the bill — either by dish or as a percentage of the total — incredibly quick and convenient. Overall, Le Bab Soho offers a memorable dining experience with outstanding food, fantastic service, and an inviting atmosphere. We would highly recommend it

Google
Great little restaurant tucked away on top level of kingly court. Easy to book a reservation same week. Food options were really good, lots of choice for vegetarians. Staff were all friendly and attentive. We sat at the window bar seat and the server served us through the open window. Was a nice indoor/outdoor dining experience. Restaurant was really warm and not sure there was air con from what we could feel but still an overall pleasant experience on a very hot summer’s day

Google
Lovely Service, Decent Food A nice and welcoming restaurant with attentive and friendly service throughout our visit. The food was okay, but we were a bit disappointed to find that what was listed as Adana on the menu turned out to be a different type of skewer with mixed flavors — not the traditional Adana we were expecting. The music could also have been a bit lower for a more relaxed atmosphere. That said, the service really made the experience better and stood out as the highlight of the evening.

Despite rocking up at 950pm, the staff were super accommodating and agreed to feed us even though kitchen shuts at 10pm! Super friendly and delicious. We went with their superb recommendations, charred broccoli, flat iron hummus (super generous portion of steak!), fried chicken and the showstopping butter chicken kebab. Every morcel was delicious and we left very full with great non alcoholic drink options too! All at a very reasonable less than £60! Highly recommend.

Yelp
No frills little spot in Kingly Court. We came pretty late and they graciously accepted our table. Service was super fast after that, and everything served was delicious. Some of the best hummus I've ever had. The dirty fries and fried chicken was also good.

Yelp
Wonderful! GPS made it a little difficult to find Kingly Court but not the restaurants fault. Attentive, friendly and efficient service. Chef looked serious about each dish he was putting out and each was a delightful, flavorful dish. Highly recommend the hummus and butter chicken!

Yelp
Absolutely Ace, currently Le Bab is the home of one of my favorite Vegan Sandwiches in London - the Sabich with a delectable twist on this Israeli sandwich with Aubergine (Aka Eggplant) and laced with a delicious peanut pesto, topped with microgreeens and served on delicious pita bread bun. Absolutely delectable, so good I had it twice in a monthZ Love the location, supremely central right in Soho and close to the shopping and theatre! G Fantastic and attentive service as well! Always feel welcomed at this great place! Can't wait to try more I also really enjoy the meat butter naan and Turkish fried chicken but for me, the star of the show at the moment is the Sabich! Don't miss it!

Yelp
My group of friends and 2 coworkers of my Brother in law picked this spot per the awesome reviews from here, maps, and trip advisor. We showed up with a pretty good buzz and found that they had over an hour wait! My BIL told the dude "we came all the way from America to eat this place" which made the guy laugh, then tell us to wait a few minutes seating us in under 10 minutes. He was the manager and ended up taking care of us himself making us laugh and offering great recommendations having been all over the US himself. We started with the fries and fondue which he told us to do two since we would love them and want more. He was not wrong, from the start our appetizers were amazing. I had a cider with it and some of them got a Brazilian drink which they have had in Brazil and said it was pretty close to the real thing. I tried it, and it was delicious but I had nothing to compare it too so I cant really speak to that. From there I ordered the shwarma and ended up sharing among the table. The pork, chicken, and even cheese dishes were all very good and quite inexpensive for the environment and location in SOHO. It was by far one of the best meals I had in Europe and a memorable one at that. The food, service, and drinks were all a 5/5.

Yelp
Food was fresh and woke up the palette. Portions were fairly big but the flavor was incredible. Service was great too and the ambiance is relaxing with soft music in the back ground.

Yelp
When I saw timeout recommend it as the best kabob in the city, I modified my pre-theatre plans for a detour. The website described a compelling happy hour, but most of the interesting drinks were omitted from the promotion. I got one of the few remaining options and found it to be nearly all ice. Not recommended for happy hour. Apps were good but not especially memorable. Some store bought hummus with some nuts and parsley on top would have been indistinguishable. The kabobs themselves were good, but made me long for the cheap kabob stand version for half the price or less, and yet much more satisfying and less pretentious.

Yelp
Le Bab is one of the more unique restaurants I've been to in London. Their speciality is their meats. Every meat they use is prepared specially for them, and it shows. The chicken I had was possibly the best chicken I've had in my life. My family all agreed that the food was absolutely amazing. Our host was extremely friendly. A very charismatic guy, he recommended us a great gelato place for dessert, even though Le Bab serves dessert. We felt right at home. The one issue I had was the portion size. It lies in that awkward region where you definitely want more food, but not so much that you would order a second entree. I would not mind paying slightly more to get a slightly larger portion.

Yelp
TL:DR Great kebabs, really expensive BEST KEBABS EVER! However, it's crazy expensive for a kebab. If you're looking to bring friends from out of town into SoHo and give them a real experience, great spot. Otherwise, get tanked and purchase a £8 kebab at midnight like the rest of us. The key is to make a reservation, and beware the bathroom. It's small and tough to get into and out of. Cocktails are a must, a fine selection with creativity of both ingredients and flavors. But they are rather pricey. The hummus is delish, the crudité was also extremely tasty, but most of all - the bread! Wow. You can't go wrong with the love and craft they put into each piece. Definitely stop by here recognizing a £100 note will soon leave your wallet.

Yelp
Fantastic kebabs and side dishes. Seriously, get a rez if you can. This place is tiny and buzzy. I got the cauliflower pastilla to start and it was delicious! A bit of spice and a hearty cauli mash in a crunchy wrap had myself and even my carnivorous husband fighting for the two rolls! I got the paneer and beetroot kebab and my husband got the lamb. OMG so good. Even the somewhat crispy wrap they are on is perfect as a wrapping base. The curry mayo that accompanies both dishes complements them perfectly. To top it off, the staff gave us on the house a hefty, DELICIOUS sticky toffee pud for my birthday. With a container of cream. And the best part is it was quietly given to me, no drama. No candle, thank god. I would definitely return here.

Yelp
My mother could not stop raving about how this was her favorite meal of our 12 day vacation. I thought the food was great but it absolutely blew her away. The restaurant looks very modern and new and the employees were very attentive and welcoming. We started with a couple apps which were all very good. The cauliflower was my mother's favorite, she took a particular liking to the labneh and spices. We all loved the bhajis, I would honestly have a meal of bhajis and chips if I could. They're a must order for sure. The cod cheeks were very good as well. For my main I got the pork kebab. It was super tasty and the cracklings gave it a nice crunch. I really enjoyed it. I also tried the paneer which was good (though I would recommend the pork if you eat it) and the chicken which my mother really liked. We also got a side of cabbage and fries with fondue. The fries and cheese were delicious though eat them quickly before the fondue turns solid. The cabbage was also very good though a little oily. The cocktails we had were also very tasty, I personally had a mezcal margarita which I thought was great. Sadly we were in a rush and couldn't try the dessert but overall we all agreed it was a great meal. Le Bab will probably go on my list of places to revisit on my next trip to London.

Yelp
I love this place and it's so affordable considering it's in Kingly Court. After trying their amazing paneer kebab a few weeks back, I brought a friend with me to try their Sunday brunch menu. It's a small restaurant and the kitchen looks tiny but there is some really delicious food coming out of there. I'm very into the white, bright interior and simple design. One of the few places that accepts bookings, there were a lot of larger groups here for the great food and cocktails. Service is good, the staff is super friendly and don't rush you at any time. It's always great to see a Vegan option on the menu, so I went for the Vegan Hash with tater tots, sauteed chard leaves, roasted squash, hummus and crumble. Only £7, but oh so good. Great flavors, textures and it didn't feel too heavy. The hummus is amazing and the side of spicy chili tomatoey paste that came with was a nice add-yourself kick to the dish. My friend went for the Hawarma Spiced Pork Hash, with Dingley Dell pork, Maris Piper tater tots, fried Cotswold Legbar eggs. Again at £9, this is really quite reasonable. The pork is really tender and sliced thinly. This dish was recommended by our waiter, and rightly so. Only feedback I have would be to have some more add-on sides available on the menu, as I'm a hungry lady and probably would have needed just a little more food. We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
So I'd heard about this place in Time Out and other various free London newspapers and magazines and thought that it sounded pretty good. When myself and my lunch companion happened to find ourselves in Kingly Court, deciding where to eat, I saw this place and remembered that I had wanted to try it. They were fairly busy, it was in the middle of their lunch rush hour but we were seated fairly quickly. The menu is quite basic with 3 starters, about 5 mains and one pudding with a small selection of drinks. The specials are written on the wall above the kitchen but they are quite hard to see and we weren't alerted to them by the staff when we sat down or whilst they were taking our order. The tap water came in an empty Sipsmith bottle which was cool. To start with, my companion and I ordered the Lokma to share. This is a doughnut filled with chicken liver. They come with a sweet and sticky sauce which the donuts had been dipped in. It was okay. I'm not a big fan of liver anyway so I wasn't too keen. For mains, I had a Tikka Barnsley Chop which was a lamb chop served with masala potates and tamarind slaw. The lamb was okay however I couldn't taste any of the spice on it. The masala potatoes had way too much spice on them making them taste too salty and I just didn't like them. The tamarind slaw was okay. For a main that cost £17, I was disappointed. My companion ordered the Chicken Shish which arrived on a flatbread with salad. The waitress advised that they recommend you wrap it up to eat it. I tried some and it was tasty. To share we ordered the Fondue Fries which were crispy chips, served with a pot of melted cheese which you dip in. This was pretty good, however it got a bit sickening after a while. I think overall, although the staff were helpful, we left feeling very underwhelmed and a bit out of pocket! I have had much better meals in and around London, similar to this where it has tasted better and has been cheaper. I also think I went in with quite high expectations as I had read so much about this place and I left feeling quite disappointed.

Yelp
When I heard of the concept of Le Bab, I was intrigued. The term 'Gourmet Kebab' was quoted, and I was fascinated to see what they had to offer. Neatly placed on the top floor of Kingly Court, moments away from the hustle and bustle of Carnaby St, Le Bab offered a number of different gourmet kebabs including a vegetarian option; but also a pork option! The food menu is simple but effective, offering that gourmet twist. Meatlafel was ordered as a starter. This dish was delightful, the elements of a falafel were still present as expected, but the addition of the meat made these balls of goodness more moreish and moist. Kebab wise, both the Corn Fed Chicken Shish' & the Panner were ordered. These two did not disappoint. The chicken shish was absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and the flavours were mind blowing. With the Panner being the vegetarian option here, it did not compromise on taste and flavour either. The different flavours here worked well and offered an exciting kebab for those non-meat eaters.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch and we decided to try Le Bab as I heard from friends it was a must try. We didn't have a reservation, but there were seats available at peak time, which was great. We were seated at the kitchen, which I loved as I like to see how the kitchen works and the creativity happens. We had a lovely waitress and she helped me with my selection. I asked what the deer tastes like and based on her advise I decided to go with the corn fed chicken shish. The deer is an acquired taste and a rich meat. I hope to go back one day and try it though. The pomegranate mojito tasted refreshing and well worth £8.50. The fondue fries were different and tasted great. I liked the crispiness of the fries. The chicken shish was delicious and full of flavour and I could have had another! I like the presentation of the food where the wrap is unfolded so you can see all the amazing ingredients and colours of the filling. The waitress even suggested the best way to eat the kebab... with your hands of course.

Yelp
Take the food you only eat when drunk or hangover and add a gourmet twist to it and you get Le Bab: Kebab wrap with fancy ingredients in Carnaby Street. And it's good. Combination of ingredients are really well balanced and tasty. We took the 3 starters to share: Meatlafel (Meat falafels - really good), Feta Risotto (I think it was barley, it was nice) and doughnut filled with chicken liver (not good - and I like chicken liver). Then wrap with roe deer/jerusalem artichokes crisps and kale. Interesting flavours. My friend got the chicken one and said it was really good as well. They do fries fondue on the side: Yes you picture this right, fries you dip into melting fondue style cheese: delicious. Service was slow though, and the place was pretty empty. It took a solid 25min to get our dishes and we add to ask several times for the bill/water. Also a bit overpriced, even for a meal with quality ingredients: £25 for a starter, a main and a side.

Yelp
A close friend of mine and i have a regular once a month meet up whereby we try and find new and great places to eat and just catch up. Keeping in mind that its a girly catch up so we require a easy menu and a good selection of drinks with a fast and attentive staff (not the kind that will keep hovering over your table). We had dinner here and both enjoyed our open meals - I took the chicken wrap which came open piled with amazing tangy yet spicy mixture of salads. She took the lamb which looked totally yummy too. We also took two sides of fries which accompanied a cheesy fondue dip. The atmosphere was buzzy as are most of the restaurant around Kingly court. All in all a great place. One Tip: Take advantage of booking online/phone.

Yelp
I knew the restaurant will be small being in the upper floors of Kingly court but surprisingly there was enough space and not hitting or fighting for space with the person next to you so the space planning seems to work well. I heard a lot of good things about Le Bab and they are about to open another much larger resturant on a few floors with a fine dining area and different menu so I am looking forward to going when its up and running. It is nice also to see someone try something different and modernise such a classic cuisine. You will not be disappointed. A great drinks selection that you would never usually get at a middle eastern resturant so am sure a welcome addition. Service was excellent with one of the owners really showing his passion and energy and you can tell he cares as I could see him attending to every table even though he had serving staff and giving his recommendations. The food is served in good time and not a huge menu but it is just right, there are vegetarian options although limited. Starter portions are small but just right for a starter and mains i think could be larger to give more value for money. Something that may also help is to have some sauces added to each dish to compliment it and a wider vegetarian selection may also really help. Service is great and very friendly. Great feeling and good design also helps. Going in a group between 2-8 would be best here given the space. I liked the food and the slight twist in the dishes and flavour so I would be looking to visit again. Dress Code: Casual Decor & Lighting: The resturant has a nice feel with country panelling and high ceilings giving a sense of space where the actual space is limited but you never feel trapped. Lighting was good, not too dim and not too bright. It however had no connection with Middle East design or architecture. I don't think thats necessary a bad thing as the food is also not traditional so decor reflects this is a fusion and modern take on the cuisine. Heating and Cooling: Good temperature, it was cold out and inside just the perfect temperature. Maybe i need to take a thermometer in the future so i can be more accurate for you all in my future reviews. Let me know if you would like to know the actual temperature in future reviews? Ambience & Acoustics: From the reading you will see below the noise levels where good to give some ambience but you could easily talk and hear your groups conversation without the need to raise your voices and the resturant was 3/4 full. DB Level: Average reading of 77.9db Drinks: HH The AD, I don't drink so i cannot comment on the drink but there is a wide range of cocktails on offer here and a happy hour. Le Bab Hummus (With levantine nuts dressing / with pork shawarma) - A nice humous with a peanut topping which made it a little more interesting. Served with a flat bread which was a little salted but i liked the smoky taste of the flat bread personally. Grilled Cod Cheeks (Charcoal grilled cod cheeks, lemon hummus, wild garlic, szechuan pepper and dukka) - I did not try these but my guests did not like the dish as they felt it was a little chewy and had peanuts on it which did not seem to work with the cod. Grilled Onglet Steak - Cooked Medium Well, where i normally have this well done I compromised with the recommendation and glad I did. This was the special of the day and the meat was cooked perfectly and tasted great, there is a little tanginess from the pickled sliced onions. I would say for the £17.00 i would have expected more in terms of portion size. There was also not enough sauce and this item could be improved by having two sauces served with the dish on the side. But i still really enjoyed the dish and i would order again and hopefully it will have the separate sauces and larger portion to justify the price. Paneer Kebab (BBQ paneer, beetroot puree, crispy onion, pickled celery, curry mayo) - I did not eat this but my guests really enjoyed it with 10 out of 10 from one and 7 out of 10 from the other. There was sauce with the paneer but maybe having some complimenting sauce on the side may have lifted this dish a little. Desert: Sticky Toffee Pudding (With double cream) - A good size portion and should not really say this but you could easily share one between two. Served on a warm skillet and with sauce already within, you should definitely have this dessert as it was warm and fluffy and full of flavour. Sweet but so good. Bill / Cost: £70.00 for three Conclusion: Location and Service is second to none. Resturant maybe small but well laid out and you feel homely and comfortable. Food was good and not too heavy with a great drinks selection on offer. Worth a visit and a nice twist on the usual kebab.

Yelp
The Lamb Adana (with aubergine yogurt and grilled green pepper) wasn't pretty (even with its stylish accompaniments), but it had delicious flavor and depth. The 15 hour free range pork shawarma (spiced celeriac, smoked date puree, pickled endive, crackling, nutmeg mayo) was better than I thought it would be. The bites of crackling took this wrap to another level. The Le Bab falafel kebab (cashew hummus, golden raisins, pickled cauliflower stem) was both an excellent falafel and a popping cauliflower/raisin salad. 3.7 stars.

Yelp
Located in Kingly Court, which happens to be one of my favourite spots in London, is this tiny little restaurant. Book a table, as when we went there were many walk ins being turned away. What this restaurant lacks in size it makes up for in experience. No wonder it is so popular. Finding it is not so tricky, located on the top deck of Kingly Court in Soho. Walk in through the door and you are greeted by the cheerful team. Once seated we were promptly served. Drinks first and one of the nicest bottles of red I've had for a long time. At £28 a bottle, you'd hope so. First the starters. I won't go into too much detail here as to not ruin the experience, however, houmous shawarma and a pork bhaji that you will die for. Essentially a little ball of fried pulled pork.....incredible. I'd recommend a bhaji starter each and another dish to share. Then the mains. Kebab as you would expect. The chef (with Michelin experience) provides you with a good portion of some of the tastiest food I've had for a very long time. That for me was the key here. Everything was just SO tasty. Flavoursome. I went with the Lamb Andina. A sound choice. Now, here comes the exciting part. As if that all wasn't exciting enough already. The sides. Chips with....wait for it.....cheese fondu. You heard me correctly. Chips with cheese fondu. So very tasty. In terms of price, I was happy with our bill. £70 for two with the wine providing almost half of the cost. A lovely atmosphere and the team could not have done more to have made us feel welcome. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is we probably had the worst seat in the house (right by the front door) and our bill was forced upon us before we had a chance to consider more drinks or a desert. The size and popularity of the venue providing the only detractor. Highly recommended. Will go again but will book well in advance and ask for a table near the back.

Yelp
Excellent food and service in a really cool location. I called around 6:30pm on a Saturday night and were able to get a table for 2 at 7:15pm. We got a bottle of Sicilian red wine (per the server's recommendation), and the hummus and roasted cauliflower to start, then we had the pork shawarma and the special duck shawarma, and finished with the lavender panna cotta. Everything was absolutely delicious, you could tell they used high quality ingredients, the portions were not too big, and it seemed reasonably priced for this area. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I liked the idea of Le Bab and love an evening in Kingley Court but wasn't overly impressed sadly. If you're going to go make sure you book - they do reserve some seats for walk-ups but we were trying to book for a Tuesday evening and it was quite tricky. The restaurant itself is very cramped with the (friendly & attentive) waiters tripping over each other and knocking you on the back of the head with plates as they serve people. However the food was really nice; we had cheesy chips and cauliflower pastilla to start with then chicken kebabs. All of it was good. Though it was fairly painful paying £12 for a small chicken kebab - it wasn't quite interesting enough for that unfortunately. The cocktails were very ordinary also - nothing particularly stand out and all £9 or £9.50 which I'm happy to pay for something unusual or beautifully created but not really for gin and garnish. Overall it was a nice meal but hasn't pitched itself quite right - it either needs to have a bit more thought put into the menu (particularly drinks) or reduce the prices and remove a few tables.

Yelp
Delicious! Lovely place to eat. We are from Arizona and have not had anything like the lamb wrap Le Bab makes. Our tastebuds were so Happy with everything we ate and drank. Please do visit but make reservations.

Yelp
Great food, slightly small portions. The pork kebab has great flavor. The pork comes in a wrap with cracklin, greens, and sauce. Fries were well made, well salted, but small for the price. The cider on offer was very good, it's a bit tart. Ambiance is upscale but comfortable. It's packed pretty tight, but the had a sweet clamp-on high chair for our baby.

Yelp
Came here with a friend, who raved about this place, so expectations were high. I love a good kebab, so there was no need to convince me to try it out. It's a cute little restaurant at the top of Kingley Court off Carnaby Street. Being so cute it's a bit of squeeze. We were a tiny bit late, but our table wasn't ready. I was told the specials were often a good choice, when we asked we were told they didn't have any that evening. To start I shared a Iokma, savoury doughnuts filled with liver parfait. The combo of sweet, savoury and dough is lush! For my main I chose the lamb option with a side of endive salad and fondue chips. The bab was quite tasty, but half way through I was a bit bored. The endives had a lovely dressing with pomegranate. The chips were a bit weird, I was expecting something different, there was something not quite right with it. For pudding there was the only option for cardamom creme brûlée, we wanted coffee to go with it but they don't serve coffee. The brûlée was nice, but nothing to write about. The worst aspect of the restaurant, which admittedly isn't really their fault is the state of the loos. Now you may think this isn't relevant but it put me off. The Kingly court complex share the facilities. There aren't enough for all the new restaurants. There was a weird moment the men's and ladies were switched around and a big queue. Not nice! Would I come here again? Maybe, but I wouldn't go out of my way too.

Yelp
As a follower of it's low-brow relative, I got the chance to try the upper end of the kebab spectrum. You wouldn't find it unless you were looking for it, as it's tucked away on the 2nd floor of Kingley Court of Carnaby Street. The flavour was really strong and varied and had plenty of ingredients too exotic for your local kebab shop. The star for me was the twice-cooked chips with stilton dipping sauce. It's a table-service restaurant, though it's really more of a quick stop-over, but don't let that stop you from checking it out if you're a kebab fan!

Yelp
Bae got bad stomach after eating. Bae got grumpy. Bae got sad. Bae got mad. Not recommend :(

Yelp
Went here for lunch after exploring the rest of kingly court whilst looking to try something a bit different and a place we had not been to before. We were seen to very quickly by the busy staff and seated promptly. The menu offered a few options, mainly a form of kebab in a flatbread wrap with different side dishes. I liked the quirky side of things the establishment offered with staff utilising iPads and specials written on vat equipment in some sort of chalk. My dining companion ordered the lamb for her main whilst I had the chicken shish kebab on a flatbread. We shared a starter which contained chicken liver in a dough ball which was interesting. The lamb chop was very nice and tender and came with potatoes which were interesting to try. We also ordered some chips with melted cheese to dip which were amazing. The cheese was strong and the chips crispy as I like them. I felt overall it was a good meal for lunch however I felt slightly underwhelmed with the experience. For what you pay I think it's okay but either more options on the menu or slightly bigger portions could serve their punters well. Furthermore I think the other options in kingly court which are located on lower floors are likely to thrive better with their niche offerings.

Yelp
£50 for a kebab and chips?!?! Ok sure the chicken was succulent and the chips extra crispy, but seriously - this place is way overpriced and the portions are small. I'm glad I tried it but I'm not in any hurry to spend that linda money on a posh kebab and chips.

Yelp
Beautiful anterior design One of the best chicken kebabs , their cheese fries was alright The Adana lamb kebab was excellent Loved the lobster kebab which was the dish of the day The service was a bit slow I guess because they take time to prepare each dish with passion The waiter was amazing

Yelp
Simply amazing. Saw a buzzfeed video of the "Try Guys" going here so had to check it out. The Paneer Kabab is one of the best thing I've ever put in my mouth.

Yelp
Love this restaurant. Love the Kebabs, and the pomegranate mojitos are amazing, and so are the cocktails. Le Bab is afforadable I so recommend this restaurant if you are near Kingly Court.

Yelp
I suppose this is an unfair review as we didn't actually go in but I had heard great things about this place and thought the food sounded good so booked a table for lunch. When we turned up we looked at the menu and it is just so expensive for a kebab! We ended up walking away. It was also empty when every other place in Kingly Court was packed - not promising.

Yelp
Despite booking three weeks in advance we were not given a table but a seat at the bar around the kitchen. Our seats were right next to where all the food is served up by the kitchen for the waiters so not only does this mean that everyone's plates are right next to your elbow, but also means that you are next to the heat lamps which would have made for a very uncomfortable and sweaty dinner had we decided to stay.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious, can't stop coming back for more. Amazing wine selection. Menu and wine both constantly changing so there is always something new to try. Very well priced for the quality (especially the wine!!)

Yelp
Great take on the kebab shop. The paneer kebab was really great, with all the flavours nicely balanced, and the bread not too thick or spongey. Affordable, given it's in Kingly Court. Nice casual relaxed bustley atmosphere. The surcharge for Amex payments seems a bit stingy.

Yelp
Overall it was a pretty quality meal, it was still early days for the restaurant so I am sure they will iron out some of the issues I have encountered. I was especially excited with the pork head kebab as it is one of those dishes that wouldn't be able to find it elsewhere, you will need at least three people to share this mouthwatering, super filling dish. While the price is not cheap (you are looking at paying around £20 for a starter and a kebab plus service charge), the quality of the cooking is a big step above your everyday kebab joint. No one in London is doing anything similar right now and is a must try place for any serious kebab lovers.

Yelp
What a fantastic restaurant. By far the best kebab I've ever had in London. All the food is lovingly made by top chefs using the highest quality ingredients. Always a great atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Can't recommend this restaurant enough .... you must try. Also don't forget to have one of the delicious cocktails or exquisite wines, you won't be disappointed. Keep it up team Le Bab!

Yelp
Le Bab is one of my favourite restaurants. One of the very few places with a unique concept which works brilliantly, for such a reasonable price. Crazy how good a kebab can be, when put together by a kitchen full of 2-michelin star chefs!! The pork and paneer kebabs stood out for me, although my friends argued the chicken or the lamb, so you can't lose! Sides-wise - go fondue friesand endive & pomegranate salad. We tried all the starters, but my favourite is the spiced cauliflower pastilla, I NEED to try the wild boar afelia next time. The Dark & Stormy and Smokey Sour cocktails are incredible, and the wine list befits any palate.

Yelp
Not sure why this place is always packed. Accidentally stumbled in here for a second time and was reminded how disappointing the food is. Tried the paneer wrap, fries/fondue and cauliflower. Can't say I would want to eat any of them again.

Yelp
This place is out of this world!!! We were in town for just a weekend and happened to stumble upon this gem!!! We had already eaten but decided to share a pork shawarma and two drinks. Best decision ever!! The food, the service, the drinks, this place is the whole package!

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful evening at Le Bab - good food, good ambience and good service. Highly recommend for an easy yet memorable evening with friends - looking forward to going back!

Yelp
Absolutely loved it here! We were sat on the bar and found there was surprisingly loads of room for us all to sit comfortably - especially as we ordered food to share so had lots of plates around us. It was really cool to see the chefs at work and watch the magic happen as the kitchen is open plan... it probably did mean that we ordered a few extras as it all looked so good we couldn't choose! The food was really delicious - a world away from your normal Kebab experience. The kebabs were far from greasy, the flavour combinations, texture and general presentation was perfect and we left feeling really full - in a good way. We also shared some starters between us, as well as some sides and the chips and meatlafel are an absolute must. The restaurant décor is really beautiful - small and intimate with gorgeous tiles inside and so much attention to detail. It was a busy night when we went in, definitely worth booking in advance, but the staff were so friendly and really looked after us. Will definitely be going back!

Yelp
So awesome! Loved it. Cool vibes, and food with amazing flavor. Wish this was close to home for regular visits. Highly recommend this to all. Can't wait to eat hear again whenever I visit England next time.
