My new favorite spot! From the moment I arrived, everything about this bar was impressive. It all started at the entrance, where the staff greeted me warmly and wished me a lovely evening. I had a reservation, so I was seated promptly even though my friend hadn’t arrived yet. They also took my coat at the front, which added to the smooth and welcoming experience. Once seated, the service continued to be exceptional. The waitress was incredibly attentive, and the helpers ensured that our table was always spotless. The balance of care and space was perfect—I never felt overwhelmed but always felt looked after. My friend and I even joked that we felt like we were in Europe because the service was just that good! We ordered burgers, lobster rolls, and egg rolls, and everything was absolutely delicious. The lobster roll and burger, in particular, were astonishingly good. The food was so amazing that we kept ordering more just to enjoy it again! The cocktails were fantastic, and the music added to the fabulous vibe of the evening. We initially planned to stay for just an hour and a half, but the atmosphere was so lively and enjoyable that we ended up staying late into the night. It was truly a perfect Friday night, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, drinks, and an amazing ambiance! ❤️

A beautiful new lounge with live music and cocktails, making it an excellent addition to the neighborhood. It's perfect for a date or a night out with friends. We had an amazing time singing and dancing to our requested songs played by the pianist.

We made three separate reservations for six people at 9:30 PM for a birthday celebration at Le Bar Penelope, but our experience was incredibly frustrating from the start. Despite calling the restaurant four times and leaving voicemails to request one large reservation, we never received a response. As a result, we had no choice but to make three separate bookings. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not accommodating. Two of our reservations were seated an hour later than scheduled, and our third reservation was never seated. The bouncer even refused to let in two members of our group, stating that we were “cheating the system.” Meanwhile, the manager claimed that our third reservation was considered "complete," even though we were left without seating for those guests. This left members of our group standing at the table due to a lack of available seats. The manager and bouncer then insisted we pay a $2,200 minimum spend to be seated together. When we declined, they dropped the price to $1,500, but it felt like they were just throwing out random amounts. We refused again, and as a result, our two seated reservations were placed far apart, seemingly out of spite. Additionally, there was an open table next to one of our reserved tables, but when we asked to move our second group there, we were told it was "reserved." However, that table sat empty the entire night. The manager’s behavior was unprofessional and it seemed like she was enjoying a power trip at our expense. The only positive part of the night was our waitress, who genuinely tried to make the best of the situation and improve our experience, despite the management's poor attitude. Unfortunately, her efforts couldn't make up for the frustrating experience caused by the rest of the staff. Given the poor service and lack of consideration, I would not recommend Le Bar Penelope.

What a great addition to the area. We dropped by on our way home and experienced friendly staff, really good cocktails, music on point, great vibe. Can’t wait to come back for a proper night out!

I liked the decoration and the drinks. I only had some truffle fries. As for the staff’s service, it was bad. The waitress was very pushy—she wanted us to order another drink every minute. I’m not exaggerating; during the short time we were there, she came by at least six times asking if we wanted another drink. It was unbearable. And the guy at the door asked my friend to show what she was wearing under her coat because he thought she looked too sporty. When we got inside, there were (no offense) some poorly dressed women with their sugar daddies. No normal people. If you’re looking for the Miami Beach of Manhattan, this is the place for you. Cheers.

We are always on the lookout for a good lounge in NYC. Sadly to say, this just did not make our list. In fairness, it is just not my type of place. There were many people who were clearly enjoying themselves. Our evening started with it taking 15 minutes just to get inside, there was no line and we had a reservation but, it became an ordeal for no reason. Once inside, we were given seats far away from the main room where there was entertainment and our party of 4 was given a table for 2. There were a few of these "outcast tables" set where the overflow crowd from the bar stands against you. At this point, it was so uncomfortable that there are much better choices in the city. We then learned that if we paid $200 per person, a table in the lounge could be found. So we took it. While the entertainment was fine, the overpriced food & drinks were not so good. The $75 10inch pizza was not very good (We are in NYC - best pizza in the world!). Again, just not my style and I'm sure others may disagree. When you are out with friends, you have a great time - we did enjoy being with others but I can not speak highly of our experience here.

Such an amazing place. Great music, beautiful ambiance, delicious bites, strong drinks and fun vibes. A+++ all around. This is our new go to spot in NYC.

Being in the industry, it's very easy to write up a bad review or anything negative for that matter. My wife and I tried out Le Bar Penelope. We walked in and yes it was impressive. The crowd was unique and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and definitely not rude. Cocktails were great, price was just as great, considering the location you're in. My wife and I had a great time, but after all is said and done, one of the reasons we had a great time was because of our server. She was amazing, incredible, knowledgeable, polite, kind and sweet. She was simply human. A huge thank you to Vanessa!! You made our night even more special, simply because you were yourself. You're weren't "fake" or "snobbish", you were perfect. You did your job with grace, elegance and most importantly with a smile. Thank you for an amazing evening. We will definitely be back for all the mentioned above reasons and definitely requesting Vanessa's presence.

Doorman outside is quite strange and rlly stuck up for...what reason? Idk ‍ didnt let my friends in bc the dress code (tht they dont rlly specify online) was j not appealing for him. He basically gave us a lecture about how we werent dressed fancy enough and tht we would "see what [he] means when we look inside..its a really upscale bar." Mmkay. He let us in as if doing us an ENORMOUS favor then shortly told us we had to leave aaaand I had no problems walkin out he ruined the vibes before he let us in anyway. Went somewhere else and had a better time there than we woulda at this place :) not worth the hype tht was circulating for a while online. Im fine w being told the dress code wasnt up to par but the way in which he worded his request for us to leave was...distasteful which contrasts how chic and "upscale" the bar is according to his description. Hosts inside were kind though not mad, j...an experience i wouldnt wanna go thru again

Great crowd and ambiance at this new well placed cocktail lounge. Properly ran and managed as well. Surrounded by swanky restaurants in the area this place is great for after dinner cocktails.

Terrible service, especially arrogant condescending doorman. My friends and I are regulars of this place. We booked a table there on New Year's Eve. Upon arrival the doorman (who already knows us) yelled at us at the front door, would not let us in in the pouring rain (it was crazy thunderstorm on NYE) like we were a bunch of drunk hillbillies when we are a classy well dressed New York crowd. When we finally got to our table, we could not find waiters with food. They would just pass our tables by and we had to ask our bottle service waitress the food multiple times. The food trays were very sparse. Mind you we are regulars and have been spending a lot of money in that place on bottles, we always get a table so we are definitely not cheap, but we have been disappointed with the attitude of the doorman for weeks now, but the NYE party was just the last drop so we will not be returning due to the poor attitude and service. The decor and ambience is good, but that is not enough for spending thousands of dollars in that place receiving terrible attitude in return. Thankfully, there are a lot of other places that are opening around this area. So no, highly will not recommend. Just giving it 3 starts for a great pianist on Wednesdays and great decor.
