The Best Restaurants Near The Eiffel Tower - Paris - The Infatuation

"Bistrot des Fables delivers massive portions of classic French food in a homey setting with a zinc bar, tiled floor, and chalkboard menu. The charming wooden staircase at the back of the room leads to a slightly less charming upstairs space—plead with the servers, flirt if you need to, for a seat on the ground floor. The slow-cooked boeuf carottes is a must, falling apart at the nudge of a fork and big enough for two, and the escargot fricassée is a nice departure from the butter-soaked classic, pairing snails with pork belly and roasted peppers. Prices are almost criminally reasonable for the area, especially if you opt for the weekday lunchtime prix fixe of €24 for two courses and €29 for three. While most of the city’s restaurants are near-militant in their 12-2, 7-10 service, this spot serves from noon to 11pm daily." - emily monaco, sophie friedman, sara lieberman

"A fabulous bistro repertoire of tried-and-true classics: think herring fillets, potatoes in oil;œufs mimosa(devilled eggs); scallops roasted in butter; veal blanquette; profiteroles, vanilla ice cream and chocolate gianduja. The menu is devised by David Bottreau in the spirit of Christian Constant, his long-time associate and mentor. Generous, flavoursome cuisine in a typical Parisian bistro atmosphere, where diners tuck in cheek to jowl at small tables laid out next to each other." - Michelin Inspector

Bistrot Des Fables - Review - 7th Arr. - Paris - The Infatuation

"Most Parisians give any bistro this close to the Eiffel Tower a wide berth, but they’ll make an exception for Bistrot des Fables, which delivers massive portions of classic French food in a homey setting. Past the velvet curtain is a cozy dining room with a zinc bar, tiled floor, and chalkboard menu. While most of the city’s restaurants are near-militant in their 12-2, 7-10 service, this spot serves from noon to 11pm daily. Even locals who wouldn't be caught dead in running shoes and athleisure can't say no to that." - Emily Monaco

The staff were friendly and our table was already waiting. We ordered two apps and shared a main and had a desert. To our surprise, the kitchen split our one main onto two plates which is always a nice touch. All the food was perfect an decently priced especially when you’re not looking for anything pretentious, just good food.

I order Friday special meal. The salad is gee and mushroom. It is good. The plate with 3different fish , potatoes and Pickled cabbage. The food is a lot. Too much and only 24 euro. I am very happy. The waitress are very nice to me. I get food very fast. If you do not eat too much as I am the start and plat are enough

My family and I had an amazing lunch on our way to the Eiffel Towet. The service was the best we had our entire week in Paris. The onion soup was very good, but the entrees were outstanding. I had the salmon which was moist perfectly prepared. Our children both enjoyed a Croque Monsieur. We split a Profiterole for dessert, so good.. Do yourself a favor and avoid the tourist traps and enjoy a fabulous meal here.

Excellent food, they know how to cook. I found the selection of herbs in the dishes very good, adding layers to the taste. Ingredients were perfectly cooked, giving pleasant texture. Was worth every penny in terms of the quality of food. Everything from water, bread, to the main dishes were served at the right temperature which I very much appreciated. Service was good too. I would visit again, so far the best among restaurants nearby :) Recommend taking the lunch menu, which seems to change every month or so.

The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and served in generous portions. The staff, including the manager, were outstanding: incredibly helpful, polite, and genuinely attentive. They made excellent recommendations that really enhanced the experience. I had a lovely time from start to finish and would definitely come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and top-notch service!

Sat out at the terrace in the middle of July. Good atmosphere. French onion soup is absolutely incredible with lots of cheese. Beef tartare is tasty. Escargos unique since they do not cook in traditional way with pesto, bit differently with pepper and garlic. No shells. Duck smells a bit and steak too tough and chewy. Creme brulee was good.

My first time trying escargot here and it was so damned good- served with crispy lardons and sautéed peppers, but the star for me was the gorgeously crisp magret de canard (seared duck breast) cooked perfectly medium rare, juicy and steak-like with dreamy carrot purée. Excellent t execution of food and a potent hand at the bar- highly recommended for your post Eiffel Tower respite

Sometimes you just have to go a little farther outside the city center to find something great. Le Bistrot des Fables is truly great!! I loved everything about this evening, from the authentic French food to the excellent service. My family loved des Fables, I will return everytime I'm un Paris!
