"Le Marais makes phenomenal croissants and French pastries, which you should absolutely get with one of their salads, sandwiches, or croques. But you’re also here for a caffeine kick, which you can absolutely get by ordering an espresso or latte made with Wrecking Ball Coffee. Le Marais is open every day, and also has outdoor seating." - Julia Chen 1, Lani Conway

Super cute bakery cafe in the marina district! Very friendly staff and efficient service. Large selection of pastries as well as cafe menu (after 9am). They have seasonal specials as well. Right now there is a Valrhona chocolate hazelnut cake and an almond cake: gluten free Pain de Gênes. The croissant sandwiches are fantastic and my favorite is the one with bacon, caramelized onions and egg.

Very busy but very delicious! Second time eating here, second time ordering build-your-own salad. Huge portions when it comes to the salads! Great French-esque vibe and menu. Busy at brunch rush time but it’s open seating so the wait isn’t long. Great assortment of baked goodies as well, including a few that are pretty hard to come by in SF.

Unusually great pastries that look like art and taste even better. I haven’t had the breakfasts but the ham and cheese quiche and double chocolate croissants are my favorites. The hot chocolate and coffee is good as well.

I can’t speak to the food, but the drip coffee is pretty good and the pastries are great. It’s got all the typical bells and whistles to fit the marina aesthetic, and consequently attracts those crowds. In the COVID times, expect to wait in a crowded, disordered line on a busy walkway with many unmasked, yuppie jabronies. In addition to their failure to set up a reasonable line, they also haven’t figured out how to do things with any urgency. There were 3 people in front of us, and it took them half an hour just to take their orders. Their lack of organization is really crippling. This is a cool spot, but it’s got just enough going against it that I won’t be back under these circumstances.

I really like the food here but the service has really gone downhill in the last year. It seems like most of the staff is new and just don’t seem to hustle except for one guy. When we arrived for a late lunch on Saturday there were several tables open, unbussed and there was a sign-in sheet at the door with 5+ parties on the list. Looks like everyone else abandoned hope but we asked one of the waiters if we could seat ourselves and he said “of course.” Wonder if the bus boy was just off today and whether there was a host at all. Definitely a shame because the food is quite good. We had to flag down the staff for menus and ended up getting our own waters despite asking for them.

You can barely imagine how happy I was to discover this oasis in the Marina District. I had food and coffee and sat awhile to watch the people of SF as they passed by or stopped in. My quiche was just the way my French mama used to make it. Mollett was her family name and the cuisine that I grew up enjoying was just the what I found at this boulangerie. Maake sure to sit outside at the tables nestled into the street. It provides a beautiful view of what a great city should aspire to and that San Francisco so well fulfills.

I had a lovely breakfast here. Their kouign amanns are solid, especially the chocolates ones. I've never seen a breakfast board as well before, so that was a fun experience were I got to taste multiple dishes. The quality of the pastries far exceed the quality of the rest of the food however, so your best bet is to get a pastry and a coffee.

Food is always great usual. Service gets a little slow at times but staff’s are very friendly. My favorite dish here is the Beef platter but they seemed to always ran out of it very quick. Hey, it’s a very popular item on your menu so why not stock up or have an extra on hand, right?Other than that, Egg Benedict w/ salmon is delish, turkey plate was alright.
