Le Petit Monstre - Review - Clinton Hill - New York - The Infatuation

"Being vegan and enjoying great restaurants is incredibly easy in NYC, especially with all of the new plant-based spots that continue opening month after month. Le Petit Monstre is one of the standout bakeries that has opened in Clinton Hill, right around the corner from the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It specializes in French pastries like kouign amann, cinnamon rolls, and danishes, but the huge cafe also sells houseplants, coffee, and other home goods. If you want to check it out but don’t live in the neighborhood, you should know there’s a Citi Bike rack right outside of the front entrance." - Nikko Duren

Le Petit Monstre offers an extraordinary experience with its croissants, so much so that you’d doubt they were plant based. Having explored lots of bakeries, I can confidently say that this one excels, even with the most intricate baked goods. As a plant-based cook, I was truly impressed by the taste and texture of their breads. The kitchen and dining areas are spotlessly maintained, and the patrons are respectful, providing plenty of seating for writing an essay on a laptop or attending an e-meeting. The staff is accommodating, and friendly. However, there is room for improvement in the bathrooms, where soap is missing, and the paper towels are actually food napkins that dissolve quickly in water. Providing actual hand towels would be a welcome improvement for paying customers.

Le Petit Monstre feels like one of those rare finds you stumble into at just the right hour. We visited around 8 p.m.—that sweet spot where the day starts to wind down but the city still hums with life. Tucked on Washington Avenue in Clinton Hill, this late-night vegan bakery offered exactly the kind of warmth and quiet energy we didn’t know we needed. The interior was a visual treat—earthy, elegant, and softly lit, with thoughtful touches that made the space feel more like a creative studio than a bakery. Large windows framed the room with a gentle glow, while the counter was lined with pastries that looked too beautiful to be real. The space carried that kind of calm confidence: no frills, just good design and good food. I only ordered a flat white, but even that felt elevated. The coffee was smooth and comforting, served in a sturdy ceramic cup with just the right balance of strength and silkiness. It was the kind of coffee that makes you want to pause and enjoy—not rush off with a lid and a to-go sleeve. What stood out most, though, was the fact that a place like this exists in the first place—a bakery that stays open until 11 p.m., serving not just pastries but an entire aesthetic. It’s the kind of spot that lends itself beautifully to slow conversation and shared moments. In fact, it might just be the perfect late-night date spot—intimate, inviting, and effortlessly cool

Great all vegan bakery with cooked food also! Counter staff is great. Ramp to enter and ADA gender neutral restroom. As much as my husband and I find the food here delicious, when we had Le Petite Monstre cater our desserts for our wedding celebration in August 2024 (for approx 200 people), there was a huge failure related to food delivery / pick-up. My husband had stated in an email that we would pick up the desserts on the way to the event, which was confirmed via email. However, while we were en route to pick up the desserts before our party, the desserts were dropped off outside on our patio (since we were not home). Thankfully, our great neighbors were able to bring the MANY boxes to the party for us. Unsure how this miscommunication occurred and in the aftermath, they did not try to rectify the situation beyond an apology, while also not even suggesting that they should refund the delivery fee that they had charged us, until it was requested of them. :/ So all in all, great food and staff behind the counter are great, but I would be extremely diligent related to catering.

Thank you so much for making our wedding day so extremely special!! My husband and I along with our 50 guests loved our 2 tiered strawberry banana cake with vanilla frosting. The entire thing was gone in less than 20 minutes. The designer was very thoughtful and called us to make sure the inscription was just right, and we sincerely appreciated that extra step especially these days. They also put on a wonderful topper for us at the last second which was spectacular- ours didn’t show up in the mail on time. Thanks again Le Petit! AND don’t be mistaken - I only got my wedding cake here because I truly recommend this place for all of their DELICIOUS and unique pastries and custom cakes! I have been many times and have enjoyed matcha, donuts and croissants galore….please don’t ever close!!!

Had the best experience ordering a cake and two sets of mini cupcakes for my baby shower from Le Petit Monstre! Selected the chocolate ganache cake with edible gold around the rim and it was not only stunning, but absolutely delicious! The texture and flavor both decadent missing nothing, as were the red velvet and vanilla with chocolate frosting cupcakes. We had a party of about 50 people (locals and family from out of town) and got so many compliments from even the non-vegan crowd. Delivery was also very smooth, and everything arrived fresh and ready to roll for the party. Thank you, Christine and team! A side note, we went to check out the bakery in person before we ordered and were able to also enjoy their delectable croissants and pastries...everything is so good!!

Google
I would stick with the pastries here, its what they are really good at. The food was not great and they forgot my order AND drinks. After 20 minutes I reminded him about our drinks which he promptly made. Same with the food. Once I told him that only one dish had come out 15 minutes back he had the other one made on the fly for me. Pistachio croissant- 8/10 Koign amann- 8.5/10 Breakfast taco-6/10 Blt-5/10 didnt like this, cheese and bacon were bad Matcha with pistachio milk- 5/10 super bitter and not frothy

I found Le Petit Monstre while searching for vegan cakes in NYC to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We're not vegan, but my boyfriend is lactose intolerant, so I wanted to find something he could enjoy comfortably without lactaid. There were many bakeries offering vegan cakes in NYC, but most didn’t offer much in the way of customization. After days of research, I found that Le Petit Monstre stood out as the best for custom cake design. I reached out to the bakery and worked with Dominique, the cake designer and coordinator, who helped me through the entire design process. Honestly, I didn’t have a clear vision at first, but Dominique asked thoughtful questions and offered suggestions that helped me figure out what I truly wanted. Throughout it all, Dominique was incredibly patient, creative, and considerate with all my ideas and requests. We eventually decided on a vegan red velvet cake with vegan cream cheese frosting, topped with raspberries and a playful atomic theme design—a perfect combination of my boyfriend’s favorites. When we picked up the cake, we had two unforgettable surprises. First, when we opened the box, we were amazed by how beautiful the cake looked—the deep green color was stunning, and the atomic design made my boyfriend laugh and smile, feeling both amused and deeply touched. Second, when we tasted the cake, we were blown away. It was our first time trying a vegan cake, and it was honestly better than most non-vegan cakes we’ve had. We ended up finishing more than half of it right away. I’ll absolutely be ordering again to try other flavors! I highly recommend Le Petit Monstre for anyone who’s lactose intolerant, vegan, or simply looking for a delicious and beautifully designed cake. Thank you again, Dominique, for your amazing support and the unforgettable cake!

Google
Wow if they didn’t label it as vegan, I would never have been able to tell. As a baker I’m usually very skeptical of vegan baked goods and don’t usually like what I’ve tried, but these guys have cracked the code. Every item I tried was delicious, but I was especially impressed by the texture they managed with the puff pastries, which had the perfect richness. Nothing was too sweet either which was really nice. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I'm visiting from out of town and this was my first stop. I am INSANELY jealous of this place. the sausage egg and cheese is next level. the donut dipped in the coffee is perfection. the chocolate donut was a little sweet for a breakfast pastry but still yummy. and the music and energy is exactly what I want in a coffeeshop. I envy everyone who can frequent this place.

Yelp
SERVICE - located in Navy Yard in Brooklyn underneath the freeway overpass - spacious interior with wooden decor and plants - tables for solo diners, small groups, and large groups - free WiFi available - good spot for working - ambiance good for a relaxed morning MENU - pastries, donuts, and cafe drinks - all vegan/vegetarian - gluten free options available - average price ($5 per pastry) FOOD - banana chocolate loaf (7/10): gluten free banana bread studded with chocolate chips. This was one of four gluten free options. For a gluten free baked good which tends to be dry and crumbly, this was relatively moist. The slice is massive but not super dense. I would have liked more chocolate chips and/or chopped walnuts which also would have added more creaminess and balance the texture of the loaf. - pistachio pain suisse (5/10): pastry filled with pistachio cream. This was my least favorite of the items we ordered. Part of it may have been the vibrant green pistachio spread which looked like it was going to be strong but tasted like plain cream cheese. - blueberry escargot (8/10): pastry swirled with fresh blueberries. This was a great fruity pastry that is not too sweet yet still has a buttery glaze and tart blueberries for textural and flavor contrast. - sausage cheese croissant (6/10): croissant filled with field roast vegan sausage patty and cheese. This was the only savory pastry we got. I liked the croissant part as it was flaky and light. The amount of sausage and cheese was so little it was hard to get a good taste of it in every bite. I also would have liked it to be warmed so that the cheese was melty. - pain au chocolat (9/10): pastry filled with dark chocolate. This was phenomenal. The combination of buttery pastry with rich dark chocolate was perfect. The only thing that would set this over the top would be having it warmed just enough to get th chocolate melted. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! Loved the ambiance and the selection of vegan pastries

Yelp
I read about Le Petit Monstre having guava cream cheese pastries and was so eager to get one of those! They didn't have any when I went, but they did have a guava croissant! The guava filling (jam?) was yummy and the croissant was nice & flakey! The scone was very sweet and had good texture too. Both totally good vegan pastries, nothing extraordinary, but totally good options! I'd recommend this place for anyone wanting to try vegan pastries. I saw they had a food menu online, but didn't see one in the shop. Not sure if they still offer meal style food or not!

Yelp
The place is huge and has a large variety of pastries. The pastries were decent enough and they're all vegan, had to double check that with the servers. We got the breakfast sandwiches and they weren't anything special but we were hungry. Pastries were decent. The server was a bit standoff and hostile. They ignored us as we were trying to get their attention and it wasn't like they were busy.

Yelp
This is a plant-based cafe serving crafted drinks and sweet and savory bites. I ordered the coconut donut and the plain croissant. Out of the two pastries selected, personally, the coconut donut was the best. The coconut flakes weren't super crunchy and overpowering to consume. Essentially, it blended just well with the donut itself. It was nice to see that they still had pastries available around 3pm. I would definitely recommend visiting them in the early AM to get first dibs on fresh, bakery goods.

Gabi G.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this place because there aren't vegan pastry options where I'm from! Cashier was nice, but the pastries were just okay. I got a guava and cheese pastry that had little to no guava and cheese. For a pastry that costs almost 7 dollars, I expected it to be a lot more filled, so I was disappointed. The almond whisky croissant was better, but tasted like it was a little overcooked. They were much better once I warmed them up at home.

Yelp
So incredibly slow on weekend mornings. It can easily take them 20 minutes to serve one party. If there's a line just leave

Yelp
Amazing bakery and cafe. My running group came here after a run and the staff was incredibly accommodating of our large group and opened early for us (we let them know in advance). They were so friendly and welcoming and patient with us, especially making so many espresso drinks in addition to serving pastries. The interior is quite large with plenty of room to sit and enjoy, and the pastries are beautiful and delicious.

Yelp
As someone with a dairy intolerance, I am always on the lookout for dairy-free (usually vegan) treats. I decided to visit Le Petit Monstre during a recent trip to New York, and I was pretty disappointed with it. First of all, the staff was just not super friendly, I felt like I was burdening them by ordering food. Secondly, and probably most importantly, the pastries were just not good. Secondly, I had three different pastries, including a cream puff like pastry that was recommended, as well as a regular croissant and a donut, and everything was super dry and somewhat tasteless. I've had quite a few vegan pastries from different bakeries (as well as a ton of vegan donuts), and the pastries from here ranked near the bottom of all of them. I was super surprised by this, as all the reviews on Yelp are glowing, but all three pastries had the same qualities: dry and lacking a lot of flavor. The seating area is ok; comfortable enough, and they do have good restrooms.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow. Came here with friends and was BLOWN away! AESTHETIC: 10/10 Cute, spacious, and bright restaurant with tons of space. Great spot to work, but I'm not 100% sure if they have a bunch of plugs and wifi but assuming they do because tons of people were om their laptops here. There's also some outside seating and it isn't on a super busy street so overall a calm, vibey spot to enjoy standout vegan baked goods. SERVICE: 10/10 The team here is beyond helpful. It was my first time and I wanted to try it all so the person helping me was so great in terms of helping me decide what to choose and sharing their tips. Everyone here genuinely seemed happy to work here which tells me that management tresats their people well. Love to see it. FOOD: 10/10 Best vegan baked goods in NYC, now that Terms of Endearment (sister business) closed. Note, I'm vegan and not gluten free. My expectations for vegan food are just as high as when I wasn't vegan since I'm a foodie thought and thorough. I have no time for sub-par baked goods, especially given the sugar, fat, and carb content. My baked goods need to be worth it or I'm not going to recommend it! Got a sausage egg, & cheese breakfast croissant which was *chef's kiss* These are hard to get wrong but I really loved the croissant! Also tried the almond croissant which I adored. It reminded me exactly of the almond croissants I used to love before going vegan which I love because these are extremely hard to come by as a vegan! I also got a rolled pastry that was similar to a cinnamon role but with no posting and nuts. WOW this was shockingly good and transported me to childhood because it tasted similar to my Mom's wine cake I used to love. FINAL VERDICT: 11/10 If you're a vegan visiting NYC, this needs to be in your top 3 must-eats! If you're traveling with non-vegans I genuinely don't think they will notice a difference between these and non-vegan baked goods.

Yelp
Love coming to this place, although I wish it was a closer walk from the G (15 mins). They have so many pastry choices your mind would be blown. Before I was a vegan I used to love eating guava cheese rolls from Porto's and I really never thought I'd find a replacement for them, but as luck would have it they make them here and it's a dream. I've had their regular food too, chorizo potato tacos, and enjoyed this as well. I go a too good to go order from them also, so I was able to try a ton of their pastries. Pretty much anything they make that's flaky is delicious (which is like 80% of what they make, but totally good). The cinnamon roll and glazed donut we're also really good. It's very spacious inside but not too overloaded with seating, there's room to breathe. There are several tables and a couch/chair/coffee table seating area too. Honestly, you can't go wrong here.
google avatar

Nadine G.

Yelp
Expensive cronut. Presentation was good. Flavor was just ok. Chocolate didn't take good. Peach seemed like from a can. The actual place looked cute. Wish I tried the pistachio croissant instead.
google avatar

Evelyn C.

Yelp
So so good! I'm such a sucker for pastries and although a lot of bakeries are offering vegan options now, it's hard to come across vegan croissants. I was so excited to try it, and it did not disappoint!! The croissants texture was amazing, I won't lie and say it's as good as the best non vegan croissant out there, but it's very solid, and you wouldn't even tell it's vegan. There's also a day old basket that's selling old pastries for $2, we got their scones and they were delicious! There's bathrooms and a good amount of seating too, definitely worth a try!
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
This 100% vegan cafe is HEAVEN. The ambiance is clean and inviting. The food is delicious!! And the service is truly wonderful. An all around wholesome experience. A must try!! I will be back.
google avatar

Allison D.

Yelp
I've had several items from here, both croissant with faux meat and without, and several extremely creatively flavored donuts. The cronut was the best I've ever had with it's mini marshmallow on top. I've sat around on some lazy afternoons in their cafe too, it's pretty nice. Honestly, I'd eat every single thing in the pastry case if I could. epic

Yelp
Never had a pastry here that wasn't perfect and after seeing some of the absolute beauties these artisans create we knew we needed a Le Petit Monstre cake for our wedding. The custom cake process was a breeze and the result was a spectacular, delicious cake that our guests could not stop fawning over. Couldn't have asked for a more lovely centerpiece, couldn't have asked for a better bite- it really was the heart and soul of our ceremony. Go to Le Petit Monstre! Get a custom cake for your next event!

Yelp
This spot has potential but there are no options that are soy-free and gluten-free. Having that option would be much appreciated.

Yelp
Amazing donuts, the have gluten free items and say old discounted items wich is great

Yelp
One of the best vegan bakeries in NYC, they have sweet and savory options, the breakfast tacos and bec sandwich are very flavorful and filling, the sweets speaks for themselves taste as good as they look, monkey bread and pistachio croissant are my favs right now service always great and space is perfect for wfh or afternoon coffee break
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing pastries. Staff were so kind and helpful. Cafe is clean and perfect place to sit alone or have a group of people. Overall great experience start to finish.

Yelp
They get all the stars Vegan bakery with plenty of options and you cannot even tell it's vegan. Love the croissants, cinnamon roll. Quiche was OK Can't wait to go back and try all the items

Yelp
Amazing sausage, egg, and cheese croissant! People were constantly coming in but there's no line so it looks like it's still a little under the radar. Come before the word gets out! This a great place for pastries and coffee! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Cøurtney S.

Yelp
Everything here tastes as good as it looks, which is potentially the highest compliment I could give this food. Their offerings are both Instagram worthy and incredibly filling. Savory and sweet options were both very worthwhile. The flakiness and simultaneous richness the Kouign-amann made it my personal favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
Le Petit Monstre is a VEGAN patisserie, filled to the brim with the most amazing, magical baked goods, zen plants, and plant based milk lattes. Bakeries like this are what make Brooklyn fabulous. They're cozy, so so so good at what they do, and just a great place for the neighborhood to come and be. I had the monkey bread, which had this delightful dollop of cream. Dig in, to discover that it's filled with raisins, chocolate chips, and pecans too! The oat milk latte was excellent. There is WiFi. Not a ton of tables but the place was pretty quiet for a Friday morning. I don't know how they bake so many amazing treats with such great quality without butter, but it is absolutely worth a trip. Pastries are LARGE. Prices are hipster Brooklyn, but I think worth it for the quality.
google avatar

Cody C.

Yelp
Preposterously good. Looks great, and somehow tastes even better. Savory game on point, sweet game on point, and nothing makes you feel like hell after--believe me, I've pigged out and tried. If I could make one complaint at all, it's that the seating feels like somewhat of an afterthought. But the food itself, I can't possibly complain on. I dare you to get something 'bad' here, or even disappointing. The sign of proficiency is that it is harder for you to perform poorly than it is for you to perform well. I don't think they could make something not tasty here if they tried.
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
This is my first time having a vegan croissant, and for what it is, I thought it was pretty impressive! And I LOVE croissants in general. The texture of the interior was nice; it definitely had layers. The ends are really dry, but the flakiness isn't bad. The biggest gripe I had about it was that the oil used tasted funky to me, I know it's not butter and the taste can't approximate butter, but I guess I was hoping for something less like...shortening tasting? I'm not sure. It was a bit off but the texture was impressive. However, the pistachio croissant was AMAZING. The filling completely masked the off-taste of the oil and it was super delicious. It really felt like a nonvegan croissant. The peanut butter cruffin was a mix between the two, taste-wise. The exterior is mostly just bread, essentially the dough of the regular croissant, and there's a small bit of peanut filling on the inside. So, I liked the interior part of it, but wasn't a fan of the bread part as the oil is iffy-tasting to me. But the texture, I have to emphasize, is good for a vegan pastry. Lastly we had the avocado toast. This was a real winner; the sourdough is SOAKED in oil and toasted, which is delicious, and it has a very generous amount of avocado on top with pepitas for extra crunch. Loved it. Pistachio croissant: 5/5 Avocado toast: 5/5 Peanut cruffin: 3.5/5 Croissant: 3.5/5

Yelp
Best vegan pastries in NYC and only second to Providence RI on east coast imo! Hard to find the flakier pastries done well like kouign amann, croissants and danishes. Coffee was great too with pistachio milk option.
google avatar

Mariam K.

Yelp
Love this cute vegan pastry shop! Came by with a friend from Manhattan & although it was out of our way (pretty much the only reason we came into Brooklyn), it was so worth it! They have a ton of assortments from savory to sweet options. I got the almond whiskey & pistachio croissant. Tried the pistachio one while there and it tastes AMAZING. It's a very very good croissant, not too sweet and the filling was remarkable. The pistachio flavor is super faint, so don't expect it to be strong/overpowering...but the croissant is filled with a jam like consistency of heaven and truly tastes awesome. Paula (I'm pretty sure that's her name), was super super sweet & helpful as well! All around, worth the trip & trying their food! (Also, side note. At time of Sep 7, they did not ask to see a vaccination card. I didn't mind, but just a heads up to others who would like to know.)

Yelp
This all-vegan French bakery is a vegan's dream come true in NYC! TONS of vegan pastry options such as croissants (sweet & savory), brownies, blondies, donuts, cookies. They also have a brunch menu which I have not tried. Of course they have to serve coffee, to pair with all that sweetness! The ambience of this store is perfect- there is a cute little "grocery section" and the whole store has that refurbished industrial Brooklyn feel. Super cute. There is indoor and outdoor seating currently during COVID-19. In terms of the actual pastries- they are quite yummy. The best one was the "sausage & cheese" croissant- the savory flavors went really well with the croissant, which was nice & flaky! The pistachio croissant was not that flaky and a little chewy on the inside. I had to tug a little to pull it apart. However, the pistachio cream was amazing and I wish it had more filling! The almond whiskey croissant has amazing flavor, however whatever the filling is makes the whole pastry soggy and the croissant is really flat and not flakey/crispy. But as mentioned, the flavor itself is good enough that I got it twice. I do wish there was a way to make it actually crispy! The donut was average- not as light and fluffy and a little bready. I really loved the peanut butter & jelly blondie!! I love ANYTHING peanut butter & jelly and this hit the spot. I will say the location is not convenient at all in terms of public transportation. If you take a subway to the nearest train you still have to walk pretty far/ take a bus/ take a cab. So plan your trip accordingly! Overall- yes I would return to get a croissant/pastry fix, if I feel like I am up for the commute!

Yelp
Ordered delivery and it took over an hour. I paid $11 for a "Ceasar salad" it was nothing but wilted Romain and literally 3 croutons. Your food may be nice as dine in, but delivery areas that "far" away are not the strong suit. I will never return for your services.

Norbert B.

Yelp
3 soggy croutons and wilted lettuce for 11 bucks. What disrespect!!!! Will be avoiding this place at all costs and suggest you do the same!

Yelp
Great vegan bakery / plant shop addition to the neighborhood. I was craving salty and pastriess I ordered: - the spinach/artichoke palmier (this one was my favorite, 5/5!) - the red pepper savory danish (4/5) - the sweet potato galette (4/5) - the jalapeño vegan sausage croissant (3/5) - and my friend got the key lime poppyseed donut (3.5/5) All of the pastries were so fresh and the space is really cute. I'll definitely be coming back for more of those palmiers and perhaps to try a tart or two.
google avatar

Sally B.

Yelp
Great pastries, but the breakfast menu needs some work. The breakfast sandwich had massive globs of mayo for absolutely no reason. It's supposed to be a sausage, egg, and cheese -- why is there mayo? The breakfast tacos are good, but not for the price they are asking. The pastries are the best, along with the service and ambiance. The folk who work here are always great. The atmosphere is cozy and has a chill vibe to come and catch up with friends over coffee and a croissant.
google avatar

Kristine N.

Yelp
Love that you can also buy plants here- Two of my favorite shops combined in one! Cute vegan bakery with plenty of sweet and savory options, plus a small drink menu. The person at the counter was very helpful in giving us suggestions on what to order. I got a matcha latte and a sausage and cheese croissant. The croissant has a sausage link surrounded by cheese in the center. Flaky and delicious! Would be slightly better if it was heated up, but still great all the same. Came out to $11 total.
google avatar

Marijke K.

Yelp
French pastry without butter?! I didn't think it was possible, but le petit monstre manages exceptionally well. We tried the berry escargot, spinach and artichoke danish, and a croissant. The croissant was alright, but I think this is where the vegan aspect sets the baking back, but our filled pastries were 10/10

Debra M.

Yelp
They have a nice variety of savory and sweet items to choose from and the people behind the counter are super nice and knowledgable about each item. The atmosphere inside is very nice and the restrooms were clean both times that we have gone .

Marie B.

Yelp
This place continues to be the best. It's gotten a bit busier/popular so you do run the risk of slim pickings by late morning, but good for them. Really good quality, unbeatable pastries.

Yelp
This is why I moved to NYC -- to have access to this type of place, literally the best pastries and desserts I've had in my life. I came on a Friday to try it out and Saturday came back and dropped another $30 on a bag FULL of incredible goodies. Oh my god. This place is incredible. My favorites of what I've tried are the savory danishes, blueberry and raspberry cronuts, brownie, and chocolate chip cookie. I didn't dislike anything, though the cheddar biscuit was slightly spicier than expected. Fully pausing my 401k contributions and funnelling it directly to this pastry shop instead.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! Their bakery is amazing, their lunch and breakfast is amazing. I love that they make vegan products. Super cute inside as well!

Yelp
I came late in the afternoon, so obviously there were only a few treats left. BUT, what I did have, I loved! Will be back to try more.

Yelp
Such yummy food and the shop is so cozy. It's a tad bit expensive though. Will visit so many more times! Ayzha.

Yelp
Just had the kindest experience at Le Petit Monstre! Hopped off my broken city bike on a way to a friends place and it happened to be infront of Le Petit. Was greeted by a sweet man who walked me through all the exotic pastries and I told him I was going to a house warming so going to grab a few. He ended up filling the entire box for me and only charging me for two. Will go back. Also the iced coffee is good and only $3.5. Surprisingly hard to find around here.

Yelp
Okay I'm a little blown away by this place!!! At first I was unsure because all the croissants I've tried that are vegan in the USA have not made me impressed. Until I tried this cute new little bakery! I bought four items and I ate them all without taking pics because I was so hungry and excited to try! This croissant blew me away and even better than the almond version. I kept Questioning myself if this was vegan or not.. in fact it is and the plain croissant is great for savory snacks too! I even got the Millie Feuille which was out of this world flakey and perfect balance of cream too! I can't wait to come back and try the fruit tarts and other menu items later today!

Yelp
Hands down one of the best vegan pastry shop in Brooklyn!! My friend and I made the trek out from the city just to visit this bakery and it did not disappoint. If no one told me these pastries were vegan, I would have never known! We ordered the tiramisu croissant, hazelnut croissant, and cruffin, but the girl at the cash register (shout out to Yemen) was so kind she gave us a cronut and cookie to try too after we had mentioned that we came from the city! All the pastries were phenomenal but my personal favorite was the tiramisu croissant. You can bet we will be back again soon

Yelp
Unbelievable quality and value. Worth making a trip for the BEC on a biscuit, only $11 and the most delicious, satiating thing.

Yelp
I have been here quite a lot of times since my first review. While I still enjoy the bakery I do find that their customer service needs some work. I have had an employee who was clearly having a bad day give attitude when I inquired what was in a pastry (as it wasn't noted anywhere), I have been given the wrong item, had boxes improperly closed which opened then spilled out of my bag, but for every bad occurrence, I have had equally good ones. For example, I asked for an item and the employee noticed it had matcha in it, she confirmed whether it was okay and if I still wanted the item. I was also greeted friendly almost always. I like this place, but besides the kinks with customer service, it's not a bad spot.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious . Most of the things I got from here I had the non vegan option and there was no difference . The bread on my sandwhich could have been toasted but other than that delicious . The donut almost made me cry .. the palmier was so crunchy and butter . I LOVED the Pain au Chocolate . All vegan and so tasty . You have to try this place out . They are on grub hub which is where I ordered . So I can't comment on decor but from the pictures it looks beautiful . I will check it out again soon .

Yelp
I recently visited this location. I enjoyed the pastry. The workers were pleasant and helpful in deciding what to order. I hope to return in the future.

Yelp
Where do I begin? So happy they opened up. We needed vegan bakery options in the neighborhood. Lovely space. The display case is magical. It's the kind that makes you want to order everything and I almost did. Go there now, support local business, you won't regret it. Now, I've been here twice and 2 things I would suggest changing: The gluten free mixed berry muffin is too sour and slightly bitter for my taste. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be, but I would prefer something sweeter. The breakfast sandwich was DELICIOUS, but it could have used some sauce. Ketchup? Hollandaise? Hot sauce? It would have helped but it was still great and I would order again without hesitation. The donuts can cure depression. They're so soft and indulgent! They do sell some plants and grocery items like fruits and veggies.
