Oh man! What a welcome opening in the neighborhood! They are still in the soft open phase, and they're still finalizing their liquor license (only beer, wine and cider for now). That being said, this is an inspired French bistro! There are classics, modern revisions of classics and then there are the classics that are Le Petit Rooster's only! Their inventive take on escargot (w black garlic and cynar) is familiar enough to be comforting but so delicious you can't help but be excited. Same for their Cote de bœuf for 2. The duck rillettes, carrot terrine, razor clams escabeche and French onion soupe were all don't miss items. Their wine by the glass program covers almost all of France and their bottle program covers the rest! Great pricing on wines, too, including a few super-allocated bottles. I was impressed w service and management presence on the floor- the GM touched our table three times during the course of our meal. We haven't felt so welcomed at a new place, maybe ever! Their dessert menu is still under construction but they offered a miso scented creme caramel the evening we dined, perfect balance of sweet and savory. We are definitely coming back!
