Lee & Rick's Oyster Bar

Ok this is my 2nd visit and can say I still love it. Oyster were great, fresh and tasted perfect. Yeinging pitchers for $10, 2 dozen Oysters, Hush puppies and steamed Mussels. Granted it is a dive bar, but food is awesome. Give it a chance and try. You won't regret it.

Don't expect fine dining. Do expect great oysters and sea food, great music, good service and atmosphere at reasonable prices. This place is what it is and it's perfect.

Been coming here for years! I love this place. The oysters are great! The Krab cakes are amazing. The clam chowder is yummmmmmy! I have never had a bad experience with the service or the food. When I heard of an oyster bar with the best deals on a bucket of oyster, I knew this was the place to go. I decided to take my stepson here on our anniversary date that we do every year celebrating when he and I met. My stepson is a seafood connoisseur and so am I we love our bucket of oysters as well as Old Bay season shrimp. The hush puppies were a balance of sweetness, but still that very cornmeal taste. Sometimes you just gotta go for the authentic spots and Lee and Rick is definitely one of them. A place that I will surely take my family two time and time again

We visited a fantastic oyster restaurant in Orlando, and it was unforgettable! This place has a rich history, an authentic vibe, and the charm of a true family-run business. The oysters were incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious — every bite was a treat. The staff deserves special recognition: friendly, professional, and full of personality. We had a great chat, enjoyed some beer, and savored amazing food. This spot is perfect for those who appreciate quality seafood and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Ate here for the first time and it was great. The oysters are big and the quality of them is better than anywhere else I’ve been to. Dustin serviced us and he made the experience even better with his amazing service and personality. This will be my go-to oyster bar!!

I've came here over the years and honestly I love it. Don't come here for like the fried fish its just meh but not bad. But the shrimp and oysters are where it's at. Get a bucket, they say it's about 2 dozen but it's often more so a really great deal. Always fresh. I appreciate how hard the servers work here. You can get them raw or steamed i get half and half and it's just perfect. Don't let this place being far from the ocean sway you away. They are sooo fresh. We were recommended this restaurant, dating back to the 1950s and still in its original form, a place to eat oysters. It has a bar and tables, but the best place to sit is at the counter where the waitresses bring you the bucket of oysters and open them for you. There's a bin in front of you where all the waste falls. It sounds strange, but it's very original and fun. It also has a variety of exquisite dishes. It was a fun and delicious experience

Out of the 30 years I lived in Orlando, I havent been to this staple. Today was the day and it didnt disappoint. For their 75th anniversary, they had a 29.75 for a bucket of oysters for all of Sept. Which the bucket, you get when eating at the oyster bar and about 30-35 comes in them. You could have them raw, cooked or both. I did half raw and the other half cooked medium. My server was kind and gave me all the works to have with my oysters. This included butter, horseradish, crackers, lemons, lemon juice, cocktail sauce, hot sauce and ketchup. He said the oysters get shipped pretty much daily. Definitely helped my oysters craving. Of course I was still a bit hungry so he recommend me a few items and I decided on the jalapeño poppers. They were fried perfectly and instead of cream cheese, they used cheddar. So delicious. I definitely will be back again!!

What an experience! I had no idea what I had gotten myself into when a co-worker recommended Lee & Ricks to this out-of-towner! I'd wanted some fresh seafood and boy did I get some! A worn cement bar greets you and fills up most of the establishment, which is where I'd recommend you sit as that is where the action is. Tiffany immediately served me a whole sleeve of saltines and some squeeze bottles (lemon juice, cocktail sauce and hot sauce). I asked her what sort of beer she had on tap and she listed 3 options and asked if I wanted a half- or full-pitcher. When I cautiously said the half-pitcher, she said good choice because it's $5 for the half-pitcher but $3 for the mug! Honestly, I am not much into oysters, much less raw oysters so I ordered the steamed seafood platter (just under $30). When the enormous platter arrived, I noticed there were no utensils and checked with Tiffany if it is an "all hands" meal. She laughingly but politely asked if I wanted a crab fork which I declined wanting the full experience. The seafood was super fresh, hot and delicious! So many different kinds (crab, crayfish, mussels, clams, shrimp with corn & potatoes too!) and huge tubs of melted butter! Tiffany asked if I wanted to try an oyster and I figured why not? She shucked one for me right there and it made me regret not getting the bucket of oysters! Super fresh and yummy, reminded me of the sea in a good way. This place isn't for the timid, but it does have a variety of fresh and delicious seafood! And Tiffany definitely elevated the oyster bar experience!

Love Lee and Ricks! We've been here a few times always saying we want to try more of their menu, but we always end up just ordering 2-3 buckets of oysters. We sit at the bar and they shuck the oysters right in front of you. They give you sleeves of crackers, horseradish, hot sauce, lemon juice, and cocktail sauce with your oysters. I've tried counting how many oysters are in a bucket, but it's always been anywhere from 30-40 or so oysters. Some were as big as my palm! The place looks a little old like it hasn't been remodeled in a long time, but the service is always terrific and whoever is shucking your oysters is always hilarious and fun to talk to.

The oysters on the half shell were big, flavorful and delicious. I can't remember having fresh oysters this big. You need to sit at the oyster bar to order and consume these delicious oysters. It was very cool when they brought a sleeve or two of saltine crackers with our oysters. Service was fabulous and we were well taken care of at the oyster bar. My connection to Lee & Rick's Oyster Bar goes back to the 1980s, when my neighbor's grandmother returned from Florida wearing a T-shirt that said, "I Eat 'Em Raw." I thought it was the greatest thing. She later gave me that shirt, and I wore it all the time. While driving through the area recently, I decided--this is the day! I finally stopped in for lunch and to buy a new version of that iconic T-shirt. It wasn't the same color, but that didn't matter--I had to have it. I was also incredibly grateful that they allowed me to have my dog with me--thank you for that! I ordered the catfish with fries, and let me tell you--it was superb. Light, flaky, and perfectly cooked. I finished the entire meal, which is rare for me! If and when I'm back in the area, I'll stop by again for that catfish. Shoutout to my server, who was super friendly--I'm sorry I didn't catch your name!

I love this local restaurant, there has history,and good service, most importantly, the got good and fresh seafood, the bucket oyster is the best! And I love their claim chowder soup~

What a fun spot. The shuck at the bar vibe is legit. The oysters were super fresh. My husband loved his fried shrimp basket. I got the boil and in retrospect should have just gotten some more oysters. Overall it was a good time and we will come back when in the area again.

Servers were friendly. The host/cashier lady was not. The cocktail sauce was amazing, best I've had. The catfish had no real flavor other than it was fishy, super fishy. Wasn't great.

If you're visiting the Orlando area looking for good oysters that won't break the bank (cheap compared to many other establishments in town)...go to Lee and Ricks. This holw in the wall restaurant modeled to look like a boat is in serious need of updating. The small entryway into the front door dawned a wasp nest with live wasps the day we visited in May 2025, so that was a bit worrying. The service was lacking for the emptiness of the dining room, but in our servers' defense, she was shucking oysters and using the oven to cook orders. Short staffed? I enjoyed the ice cold raw oysters and the medium well cooked ones. They were cleaned well and fresh. They come with horseradish, lemon slices, hot sauce and cocktail sauce. We enjoyed the complimentary crackers they provide while you wait on your meal. The homemade cocktail sauce is the bomb and we used 1/2 the bottle. My bro-in-law got the catfish and stated it was fishy, but he ate every last bit, so I guess it was still tasty. My hub got the fried white fish. It was breaded and seasoned well and tasted fresh. I also got hushpuppies. Gotta have them with fish!

So I have a large list of restaurants that win Best Of awards, and I'll RNG for where to eat on the weekends. One recent weekend, I rolled for Lee and Ricks! I had never heard of it, but when I got to exploring the website, I learned all about its rich history and how ingrained it was to the local community. Well, finding diamonds in the rough like this really get me excited, I was ready! We pull up, see this shanty town looking shack, and my excitement turns up to 11. I always negatively correlate appearance to quality of food. Fancy places make be suspicious, but places like this, I know there's good food within. So anyway, we go inside and see a dining reminiscent of the inside of a tugboat. Dark and nautical and a bar lined with ice and oysters. Very cool. We take our seat in a nearby booth, and start checking out the menu. I got some sweet tea to sip on while I browsed, and boy it was sweeeet. So be forewarned. Also, after we ordered, we got a whole sleeve of saltine crackers to munch on, which was very nice. Very Olive Garden and Red Lobster-like. It also went well with our entrees. I ordered the Steamed Seafood Platter (Shrimp, snow crab, mussels, crawfish, clams, corn & potatoes). I had been craving a seafood boil for a longgg time, so I jumped on the opportunity. It was a very good seafood boil for the Orlando area. Everything was a little overcooked and a tad big rubbery, but the seasoning was on point. I also got the chance to eat some of the Seafood Combination Platter (Fried shrimp, clam strips, krab cakes and fish. Captain size portions served with French Fries and ). In terms of seafood platters, this one was a much better example of a fried sampler. Everything was crispy and not oily or anything. Amazing shrimps. Definitely need that coleslaw to help break up all that heavy fried. Overall, this place has all the bravado of being a local legend, and I'm so glad that's been able to stay open after all these decades. I had a good time, I had a good meal, and I'm glad I came.

Now I wasn't a fan at all of raw oysters until recently! After trying them at another place I kept hearing that I must go to the best place in Orlando for oysters, Lee & Rick's . This place is legendary here from what I've been told. So I decided to check them out . The prices were awesome and the menu is very straightforward. I ordered a dozen of oysters steamed , they are MP so it was about $29 dollars for a dozen . I also ordered a half dozen of steamed peel and eat shrimp which is cooked in butter. They bring you out a roll of crackers and a thing of hot sauce . The guy shucked the oysters as he laid them on the table. I paired it with a lemonade and I was very satisfied. This place smells just like what you can expect from an oyster bar. The customer service was great and service was fast. I left full and spent less than $50 for what I got. I would def go back . There was hole right by the bar for me to drop my shells which I loved. Def check this spot out if you haven't already for your oyster satisfaction.

Ugh. Lee and Rick's. Been around like 4 ever. So everyone just goes 5 stars. Well not me, oysters were good, rest of the menu is fried food and I've had better at long john silvers. Sorry ya'll, it's not anything special.

Been coming here for years. Food is always good, fresh and tasty. Wait staff is always friendly and polite. Beer is the coldest in town. Highly recommended.

Pros: I absolutely love the rich history of the place, and hearing about how much the place is still thriving even with everything being virtually the same as when they opened. I appreciate the complimentary saltine crackers. They're useful to munch on as an appetizer And as an hors d'oeuvre maker when your seafood comes. The portions certainly are enough to fill you up! The service was great. We had a really nice lady who kept the drinks flowing. Cons: The steamed plate we got was definitely overcooked. Shame. Tips: Get the Seafood Combination Platter! It's a good way to get a little bit of everything.

My favorite little treat!! John was an absolute gem of a server and I will definitely be back to see him! Tonight I had a bucket raw and a half dozen steamed and they were both fabulous. Love seeing thus place get a little busy on a Tuesday night, the love and support is so deserved.

Felt like a couple dozen oysters & steamed clams, so stopped in to an old favorite spot, as always, fresh ice cold oysters & beer. Steamed clams, a little chewy, chow'd delish as always. Jennifer was great, kept the oysters coming & kept the mugs full, great service, atmosphere, just a great raw bar, concrete & tile the vibe is half the fun. Do yourself a favor & stop if u like oysters & steamed seafood.

I found this oyster bar a few years back when I was living in the area. It's a hole in the wall oyster&seafood spot with no frills and very VERY reasonable pricing. They have a bucket of oysters offering at the bar where you watch the phenomenal staff shuck some incredibly large oysters and place them on the bar with all the different accoutrements one would expect! The oysters are absolutely fresh and delicious for such a phenomenal price! Don't expect fancy cocktails but you can get beer and wine at an incredibly reasonable price. Fast forward almost 5 years later. I returned to Orlando and knew I'd be remiss if i didn't stop by Lee and Rick's to binge on oysters. Everything was exactly as I remember including the reasonable prices and large, fresh and delicious oysters. Our wonderful server Jennifer was such a boss shucking these large oysters and the overall service was phenomenal. It's amazing how 5 years later, it is exactly as I remember but you know what they say, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! If you're ever in Orlando and want a super laid back spot to slurp on oysters and some beer without breaking bank, you have to check out Lee and Rick's Oyster Bar!

Our bucket of oysters was 42 oysters strong. They were fresh from the Gulf of Texas and huge. It is a really cool concept. You sit at a bar and there is a trough with a trash can in front of you for you to toss your shells in. Your server is also your oyster shucker which is great because that's hard work. She was super nice and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her while we ate. They provide hot sauce, cocktail sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, and butter to dress your oysters with. This particular batch was a little sweet and went well with horseradish, cocktail sauce, and lemon juice. Great experience and excellent fresh oysters. You definitely should check this out the next time you're in Orlando.

The fried oysters were not good. Too much batter and the oysters were tiny. Price was way too high. The restaurant was empty. We were the only customers.

This spot is so cool. I had fried alligator, which was delicious, and also a bunch of oysters. I liked that everyone was a convict - the service was super nice. Would definitely make a point to come back

AMAZING OYSTERS. this place has a casual local feel, OG raw bar type spot. beer and wine only. We tried the oysters and ended up getting 36 of them plus the crab cakes, which were good as well. Haven't been able to stop thinking about the oysters. They were the biggest I've ever had and we will be coming back a second time in 3 days before we leave Orlando. we were gonna go back yesterday, but unfortunately they do close at 10 PM.

Great food at decent prices. Would recommend, but make sure you have plenty of time. Service started out fine, and then it took forever just to get our bill to pay. It was slow indoors with not too many guests, and it isn't enough to keep us away from visiting again...just wanted to mention that if there were on area to improve upon, this would be it.

It's been a few years since I've visited Lee and Rick's so I'm glad they stand by the motto, if it ain't broke don't fix it! These oysters were so huge omg! We ordered 2 buckets, one raw and the other steamed. We also had the steamed shrimp. This seafood is so fresh! It's like they have a boat in the back bringing the seafood fresh out of the water. The service was amazing! Our waitress was a small young lady but she shucked those oysters like nobody's business lol. We unlocked the cheat code and purchased a small order of sauce from EZ crab down the street and dipped the shrimp in it. I could eat like this everyday. No wonder this place is a staple in Orlando. They never miss!

Great little hole in the wall. Nothing fancy, just belly up to the bar for awesome fresh oysters. Service was fine, but again it's nothing fancy however that just adds to the allure. Next time I'm in Orlando I'll be back.

Keenan was a great conversationalist. Very entertaining. He made it so enjoyable, the lady and myself went back the very next night to see him again.

We visited Lee and Rick's on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. It wasn't too busy. We sat at the bar immediately. Our server immediately helped us to some drinks and took our order; we got a dozen oysters and the seafood steamer. The oysters came out immediately and our server did an excellent job of shucking them as we enjoyed them. They were delicious and came with a healthy serving of horseradish and lemon slices. We really enjoyed them! I do wish we'd had plates or something to put them on since they weren't that well washed. There was a lot of dirt on the outside and they got the counter dirty. The napkins weren't super heavy duty so it was hard to clean it off. The seafood steamer was a bit of a let down. It was overall under seasoned and overdone. It had clams, mussels, crab, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoes. We expected more food than we got. All the seafood except for the crab was on the rubbery side. The corn was honestly the best part, but it needed some salt and pepper. We couldn't find our server anywhere, so we asked someone else for salt and pepper. She said she'd bring it but didn't. I also wish we had plates since we were splitting our food, but we were sharing the big basket it came in. We also needed much more butter since we wanted to pour it on the corn, but we couldn't get anyone's attention to ask. We waited about 30 more minutes for our server to come back to ask for the check, but she didn't. My friend went and found her to ask for it and then we paid and left. I think that the poor service was mostly a symptom of us going in so late and close to closing, but it's hard to close without letting people pay. I didn't have good feelings about the cleanliness of the eating area. I loved the decor, and the oysters were great, but overall I wouldn't go back.

What an amazing-inexpensive experience! If you're craving oysters, raw or steamed, this is the place here people. John was our oyster shucker for the night. He was very friendly and informative which made it easy for us first timers. He was working through a tooth ache but still gave top notch customer service! John I hope you got your tooth fixed!! Visited on a Wednesday evening and there wasn't too many people. I got the oyster bucket for $35 and it was so fresh. You can only get the bucket if you sit at the bar, I definitely recommend and it's worth it! I also got the the fried calamari and soup of the day (clam chowder)

Don't be concerned with a bit of love showing on the exterior, the jewels are on the inside in the form of great food and great folks. The massive bars dominate the restaurants to allow for oyster lovers to enjoy the sight of fresh shucked oysters in any quantity right in front of you. And as you can observe, seafood lovers have crammed into Lee & Ricks for almost 75 years, and still going strong. The prices are very reasonable and the servers are delightful. My I suggest the clam chowder. Oh, and ask for Jennifer.

Please do not come here expecting a five-star restaurant! The best way to do Lee and Ricks is belly up to the bar! Please come here for the oysters! It truly breaks my heart when I see people ordering chicken tenders and french fries at this establishment. The ambience? Literally, it is a bar that has a trough that you throw your oyster shells in when they shuck them in front of you. The service is fantastic! The oyster Shuckers are so funny and so fun. And they really do do a great job. Where they source the oysters from changes every week. This particular night we got New England oysters. Usually there from Louisiana. I've been coming to this restaurant since I was three years old with my father. We bring her teenage daughters here on the regular. It has not changed in the 40 years that I have been coming here and that's a good thing.

This was a gem of a local spot to find. The staff was awesome and very accommodating. If your in the area and want great food and hospitality at a good price this is the place to go!

A Lyft driver in Ormond Beach told me about this place a year ago. I kept it in mind until I had the opportunity to visit when flying into MCO last week. Loved the old-school ambience, regulars, and highly experienced oyster shuckers. Ordered a dozen raw oysters and they were delicious. A little briny, soft, and large. Added an order of hush puppies and a beer to go with it. Would have stayed longer, but had to drive to Palm Coast that evening. Can't wait to go back with friends.

Not going to lie it looks sketchy but all the best places are! I was apprehensive to walk in because of how narrow and dark the entrance was but once you step in everyone is so nice and welcoming, KELLEN is the man! He was so personable and friendly. I was nervous about someone I don't know watching me slurp down oysters lol but it was an amazing experience and the food was amazing, I'm only in town for 4 days and I'm planning on going back tomorrow and spending all day there, also the prices where very reasonable. Well, to begin, I want to start off by saying I WANTED to like this place (badly). I thought this was a hole in the wall, a golden nugget waiting to be discovered but boy was I wrong. The ambiance was trash. The interior is extremely outdated and not in a cool retro dive bar type of way. The counters were all chipped with paint, the floors are filthy, flies were everywhere , and you will definitely be greeted by the smell of lake oysters (if that's what ur into). And if u like hot water and soda (since they apparently had no ice...IN AN OYSTER BAR, be my guest. These oysters are filthy. Straight out of a dirt pile or something. They are not washed, when chucked they place it on the filthy counter, no plates, and you can enjoy a bland, way too big for comfort oysters topped with some nice freaking dirt. ****NO AMOUNT OF LEMON, HORSE RADISH, HOT SAUCE WILL COVER UP THE NASTINESS. Me and my boyfriend were dreading to burp the rest of the night as we kept being reminded of the horrific oyster taste....traumatic.

I went on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm. The place surprisingly has quite a few people already. You walk in and find a place to sit yourself, no need to wait for the host. If you want the bucket of oysters, you'll need to sit at the bar. The bucket is a great deal and the oysters are very fresh. I definitely recommend this place and will come again next time I'm visiting Orlando.

IF You are Oyster Lovers, Aficionados or just Love Fresh Raw Seafood this is the place. We were Fortunate enough to visit and partake of an absolute Feast of Fresh Succulent Raw Oysters. 2 Beers and 3 Buckets of Freshly Shucked Raw Oysters and I was in Seafood Heaven. Older, Original Functional, Practical Decor, NO White Tablecloths here. DO NOT MISS an OPPORTUNITY to Partake.

The most genuine man who is passionate about his craft, will guarantee you a wonderful oyster tasting experience. The fresh, chubby and juicy oysters are without a doubt 10/10. I had the seafood platter and it was a -10/10 it was dry and flavorless. The service was a -100/10 she had a attitude. I will NEVER EVER COME HERE AGAIN!!!! This app made me click a rating, if it was up to me the rating would've been a zero!

What a unique seafood shack! From the fresh seafood to the very kind and patient workers, this place is a gem! Although I am not an oyster fan myself, I can definitely still appreciate this experience. Be sure to sit by the bar because they'll shuck the oysters right in front of you. It cannot get any better than that for all my seafood lovers out there! I ordered the Golden Fried Fantail Shrimp bucket and that was divine. The shrimp was perfectly golden and was amazing with the tar tar sauce. The portions were very generous. I did try an oyster and I can tell it was good quality, but not for me haha. I can't wait to come back and take my dad here!

Im always looking for good quality & good priced oyster places. Saw this one on Yelp looking for a spot while visiting a friend in Orlando. As soon as I walked in i knew it was gonna be an experience. It definitely was, a great one for sure. Kellen was our server, very attentive and nice. Authentic place that has been open over 70 years, nothing fancy at all, but part of the experience and loved it for what it is. The oysters were fresh, very good price. Definitely going back.
