The Best Taiwanese Restaurants in NYC | Eater NY

"Legend Chicken is known for its giant-sized Taiwanese fried leg cutlet (glove upon request), basil popcorn chicken, and other night market staples, such as fried blood cakes (a kind of Chinese version of the boudin noir) and semi-sweet Taiwanese sausage. The sleeper hit is the venetian fried tofu, based on a layered tofu known as “hundred leaves,” which combines a QQ (Taiwanese compliment for a bouncy chew) interior with a crisp shell." - John Tsung

The Best Taiwanese Restaurants In Flushing

"There’s nowhere in Flushing that does Taiwanese fried chicken better than Legend Chicken. You can opt for the chicken in multiple styles, like “Legend Pops,” (otherwise known as popcorn chicken), wings, leg cutlets, gizzards, or the namesake “Legend Chicken” that consists of an extra-large and thinly pounded fried chicken steak folded over and served in a paper cone. Any of the chicken can be cooked mild, medium, or hot, but be warned that the heat comes on slowly and then builds. You can get add-ons like the more traditional Thai basil topping or garlic topping, or opt for something a bit different, like lemon black pepper, nori flakes, or sweet plum powder." - diana kuan

If you're a fan of mouthwatering, flavorful chicken, Legend Chicken is an absolute must-visit! 🍗✨ From the first bite, I was blown away by how amazingly tasty and delicious their chicken is. The seasoning is perfectly balanced, with a crispy exterior that gives way to juicy, tender meat inside. Every piece is cooked to perfection, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The menu offers a great variety of options, from classic fried chicken to bold, unique flavors that keep me coming back for more. The portions are generous, and the prices are totally reasonable for the quality you're getting. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, making it a great spot for a quick meal or a takeout feast. The ambiance is cozy and clean, which adds to the overall experience. If you haven't tried Legend Chicken yet, you're missing out! This place has earned its legendary status in my book. Highly recommend! 🙌🔥 #LegendChicken #BestChickenInTown #FoodieHeaven #MustTry

I love taiwanese chicken so much. The chicken juicy inside and crispy outside, i like their spicy powder not too salty so enjoyable without worry will hurt my stomach.

Google
It was located inside a hall with some other small stalls, there was a small table. The chicken was bigger than my hand. The batter was crispy, i asked for medium spicy and it enough. Tasted good.

Google
Got the leg cutlet, medium spice, $13 total. As big as a head. Flattened leg cutlet battered in maybe a rice batter. Not super crunchy, crispy. Will definitely fill you up. Could use more salt, lack a bit of flavor. More of a burn than an kick in terms of spice. But pricey in my opinion. Overall a 7/10.

Google
Decent place for Taiwanese style fried chicken and snacks, aggressive pricing. 5 stars because of the price which was aggressive for the level of food quality at this shop. Cheaper and the same quality as the Taiwanese place in the New World Mall Food Court. They make it all to order and everything we tried was solid. Would come back again.

Google
Wonderful place for Taiwanese fried chicken. The price is great and they give huge portions. The chicken is fried when you order so it's juicy, crunchy, and doesn't taste oily at all. The seasoning on the chicken is really nice, you get to chose your spice levels, but they're not too spicy. Overall the flavor is amazing.

Google
Only Real Taiwan Fried Chicken in NYC! If you want the real Taiwan fried chicken in NYC, this is the only spot, period! I tried lots of places claiming themselves are Taiwanese , but they just couldn’t get the taste 50% right 😭But stumbling upon this place was a happy accident. The chicken here is truly Amazing. It’s huge, too – enough to share with a friend. It reminded me of Taiwan’s night markets, which I miss a lot. I love it here and I’ll be back often. If you want authentic Taiwan fried chicken, come here. 100% won’t be disappointed!

Google
Amazing chicken. I ordered popcorn chicken and it had the right amount of spice. This is my first time tasting Taiwanese chicken. I usually don’t order fried food, but this place is too good to pass up. I’m looking forward to trying the calamari, green beans, and tofu. Update: tried Calamari and it was good 🤤

Yelp
Boyf & I stopped into this lil food hall because I'd been dying to go to a Sanrio themed bakery shop in the back .. he was starving and decided to try out Legend Chicken. He got the popcorn chicken & the six piece wings both in medium spice. They had 3 options (Mild, Med, & Hot!) Food is fried to order it seems, which made for extremely crispy, hot and fresh fried chicken. Although medium spice was very hot and seemed more like HOT, He really enjoyed it !! But will def be getting mild next time lol. He was interested in trying a couple things that were sold out so will definitely be back since he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The lady who took our order in the front was very kind and helpful.. very patient as it was our first time. To use card you must spend a min of $10.

Yelp
This place is hidden in the small food court. If you see yaya tea in the front, you're in the right place. Got their legend chicken. The medium hot is SPICY. My spice tolerance is really high so trust me, if you can't handle your spice, tone down. Big portion for the price (I think $14 something ). Thick cut of chicken breast, it has bones, so be careful. Lots of other snack and rice dish too.

Yelp
SO GOOD. Reminds me of being in Taiwan and getting a fried chicken cutlet from a street vendor:,) We tried both the cutlet & the popcorn chicken, and both were super tasty! I prefer the cutlet since there's a bit more juiciness and flavor, but I can never resist the basil combo with a traditional popcorn chicken. Perfect spice level too-- we opted for medium and there was a good amount of kick! Friendly service & the guy who took our order was helping us decide how much food we should get since this was the second stop of our food crawl. I also really appreciated the seating in the back that all the shops in this storefront share!!

Yelp
Pretty massive cutlet. It had some nice spices on it but some parts of it were a bit dry.

Yelp
One of my go to spots whenever I'm in flushing. Their chicken was crispy and juicy. The meat is super tender and flavorful. For the size of the piece of chicken you get the price is extremely affordable.

Yelp
Food stall with the stalls on the ground floor and a couple tables for seating in the back. The upstairs used to be seating as well, but is now employee only. They have a digital menu. Service was quick and friendly. The cashier said it would take 5-10 minutes and my order was ready in 5 minutes! Everything was packaged nicely in small containers with a couple skewers in each box. She put in napkins as well. I got the Legend Pops (popcorn chicken) with the hot level spicy. I was told it was very spicy, which was indeed very spicy! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Although I enjoy the spiciness, I think this would be better enjoyed mild or medium. The spiciness kinda takes away from the chicken. I ended up brushing off the chili powder and flakes, which sucks because it's 50¢ extra for the hot level spicy. I was craving some Blood Rice Cakes, so I got those as well. I went with mild level spicy. They are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, though a little on the salty side. It has a good amount of white pepper too, so if you're not a fan of that, then this is not for you. Decent spot if you're looking to grab and go. I would order in person, as food apps jack up the price, and it's not much of a wait.

Yelp
Made it to legend chicken! I got the mild since I'm a wimp at spice. The leg cutlet seemed to be the thing to get. My leg cutlet was nicely breaded and was huge! I liked the taste but the seasoning was too white pepper for my taste. My best friend who loves pepper loved this chicken so I'm glad she was able to enjoy it when I couldn't eat it anymore haha. Interested to see what other flavors food they have :)

Yelp
Yum! one of the tastiest Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken I've had in a long time. Counter lady was really friendly and ordering process was simple and quick. Wait time for my order wasn't too long. One order of the chicken was packed full and piping hot; comes with wooden skewers. Chicken itself was seasoned pretty well, though it would be nice to have a variety of sauces rather than just ketchup. The sweet potato fries was good too; not too oily was fairly sweet. Overall, nice stall located within this narrow Flushing food-hall.

Yelp
Solid place for Taiwanese popcorn chicken and other fried taiwanese food. Ive been here 3 times and theyve always been solid. I usually get the popcorn chicken, which i really like. The way it is flavored is perfect. However, it is a little dry. I really liked the caulliflower, it felt healthy but was also really tasty!

Yelp
Legend Chicken is famed for their Taiwanese fried chicken and authentic late-night market snacks. I was in Flushing the other day when I asked my sister if she wanted me to bring anything back, and she texted me the Yelp link to this place along with a list of what she wanted. And well, here I am. * Leg Cutlet 别姬香腿排 $12.00 You can't go wrong with Taiwanese fried chicken steak aka 雞排. Instead of their Legend Chicken though, we went with their Leg Cutlet, which uses juicy dark meat; and this was piping hot, perfectly breaded, with just the right amount of lip-numbing spice. The size of this chicken piece was no joke too-- my sister and I shared one order and still didn't finish. * Fish Roe Sausages (2pcs) 臺式魚子香腸 $7.50 I've never heard of fish roe sausages before, so this was interesting. I didn't have any, but my sister said it was yummy and really enjoyed it. We can't wait to come back and try their tater tots, hash browns, and garlic string beans! **All of their items are made fresh to order! The average wait time for chicken products is 10 minutes!

Yelp
Food (4/5) - Came highly recommended and got the chicken bites to share, was really happy about this purchase! Right level of spice, seasoning powder was really tasty. Couldn't stop eating even though our tongues were a little on fire... Service (5/5) - Pretty prompt, also was really kind and tried to help us figure out what the right level of spice we should get. Medium does have a bit of ghost pepper powder.

Yelp
Popped in here for a quick snack and it was worth it. Even the mild had a bit of a spicy kick but not enough where you are drenched in sweat. Just enough heat to wake up your senses if you know what I mean. Service was friendly and quick too. I'll definitely stop by again if I'm in a Taiwanese popcorn chicken fix!

Yelp
I am a BIG FAN of jipai! I like to try Taiwanese fried chicken steaks whenever I see them. This food stall was in a little narrow food court hallway. The staff were kind and let me know it would take about 10 minutes to prepare. When I got the Legend Chicken, I was amazed at how thin and large it was! The appearance was definitely drool-worthy, but it didn't taste as good as it looked. The chicken itself was very dry - like it was overfried? or maybe the cut of meat wasn't fatty enough? It also had bones in the cutlet. The seasoning and batter on the chicken was really tasty though!! Maybe if they used boneless chicken thigh, it'd be more enjoyable.

Yelp
Came here by recommendation by my friend's cousin who I had just met earlier that day during lunch. He said this place is very comparable to anything in Taiwan and is the best in Flushing. Legend Chicken is located inside the "Grace Tower" building off 40th, between Prince and Main St. It's one of those places where there are multiple stores/shops inside one area. I believe the store in front by the door is like a drink shop, next would be Legend Chicken on the right, then Flushing Ice Cream Place farther down, and Mochiido at the end. Typically i don't really get full from just popcorn chicken, so on top of the LEGEND POPS (popcorn chicken), i had ordered the LEGEND CHICKEN (chicken filet) Took quite a while to get my order, despite being the ONLY person who ordered, but it is chicken so does take a bit. I took it back to my place before eating. The LEGEND POPS is delicious but as expected, small portion. Good to share or snack on. The LEGEND CHICKEN is huge and they had chopped it in half to put it in the paper envelope. It's kind of like the super popular one at shilin night market at taipei but unexpectedly, it still had bones inside. Also felt like a fileted chicken breast with bone. Not that impressed with the filet version but loved the popcorn chicken version. I think i got medium spicy on both. Flavor was great. The filet was a bit dry though. Would get the LEGEND POPS again for a snack but not the LEGEND CHICKEN.
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
One of the better popcorn chickens I've had in New York. I got the legend pops to go. The chicken was moist and juicy. I got it mild spice, but it was still quite spicy for me. The batter was light and spiced quite well. There were a few pieces of Thai basil in there. The portion is good to split between two people or for two smaller snacks. They have a $10 card minimum, so make sure to bring cash or order something that's at least $10.
google avatar

Andrew N.

Yelp
This stand was located in a small food hall. This piece was huge and definitely fit for a meal, so be careful about this legend chicken if you're doing a food crawl. For the taste, I thought the seasoning was okay and the meat was very dry.

Yelp
Ok so I had a two star draft review saved in my draft folder. Last time we came here, we really wanted to try this place and were in a time crunch. We came when they were supposed to open (I think noon?) but they never opened. So we were a bit annoyed that the signs were wrong and they weren't open. Well I was hesitant to post a negative review because you never know the situation (workers sick, transportation issues, owners sick, etc.). Well recently we came back to Flushing to visit and eat delicious food. I wanted to give this place another try. We came and they were open! We ordered the popcorn style chicken and ordered it medium spice. It was sooooo fresh and soooooo good. I've eaten a few taiwanese chicken places and most are good but I love how this place adds spice to it. It made it extra good. Had a nice kick in my mouth. If I didn't have to share with my wife then I think our cousin and I would have gotten the spiciest level. So so so good. Could eat this every day!!
google avatar

Willie G.

Yelp
Chicken was uniquely flared out, fully bread crumbled and fried. Really easy to pick and eat from. Flavor was nice, just right amount of seasoning and your choice of spice. I had a nice order of Parmesan garlic fries and wings, all of it was nicely fried and delicious. A bit hard to get to by car, but we were able to do it if you have someone to stay in the car. The area seems like a good place to walk around if you choose that route as well. In the market area there were also other options as well all around the neighborhood for food.
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
It's called Legend chicken bc it's legendary Taiwan flavored chicken - reminds me of Taiwan!

Sharon F.

Yelp
This place used to be a lot better. Many menu items were removed and can't be ordered anymore yet they still have the full menu listed. Tater tots, oregon fried chicken, etc. all removed over time but not bothering to update it and instead wait for the customer to ask about it to be told it isn't available. Now a lot of what I used to order is gone.
google avatar

Sandy D.

Yelp
And I'm back for their cutlets this time! I wasn't deterred by their dry popcorn chicken, as I was still attracted to their amazing flavor. The Legend Chicken ($12) was expensive, but then I saw the size of this thing! I wasn't even aware at first, since it was wrapped over in such neat packaging. Gloves were also provided! We only got the Mild spice, but both of us can still taste the heat! It was a perfect spice that's addicting and delicious, without killing us. The meat was also juicy at parts. The workers were also so sweet in informing us of standing tables in the back. Heck, I'll definitely come again to try a different menu selection next time.

Yelp
Crispy, spicy, tangy, curry powdery goodness. Run, do not walk, to this sweet spot in Flushing. A must for your food tour off Main St.
google avatar

Angel F.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place because I love Taiwanese popcorn chicken! It's located in a small food court so it's nice that you can walk around and buy some boba while the chicken is cooked fresh for you. I ordered popcorn chicken with medium spice. It really was freshly made and tasted good! However I wish it was a bit crunchier and less dry. Usually fried chicken that isn't crunchy tends to be juicer but I think this was a tad over cooked. The seasoning tasted good although medium spice wasn't spicy at all to me so if I went back, I'd get a higher level.
google avatar

Katy L.

Yelp
Wanted to try more Taiwanese popcorn chicken places & the reviews for this place seemed pretty good. We ordered the legend pops and what we thought was the legend chicken but we might have received the leg cutlet instead (my boyfriend might have ordered the wrong thing in Chinese haha not a fault of the establishment). The leg cutlet (or legend chicken? unsure) was very delicious & flavorful! You can really taste the seasoning, it was well done. We were eating outside when it was cold and windy so by the time we got to the popcorn chicken/legend pops it was cold. Surprisingly the legend pops weren't as flavorful as the leg cutlet/legend chicken but unsure if it's because we didn't eat it while it was hot. Overall it was pretty tasty and I'd love to try the popcorn chicken when it's hot (maybe eating it indoors would have been a better idea). Would also love to come back and try the other items on the menu like the fries and gizzards. Legend Chicken is located inside with other vendors like the Flushing Ice Cream Factory and Yi Fang so it's a great place to sample a lot of bites together.

Michael D.

Yelp
Located inside a very small food hall type of place with very little seating. Important thing to note is that most places that have Taiwanese fried chicken uses chicken thighs but this place uses white-meat tenderloins so the chicken is a bit firmer in texture and drier compared to if thighs were used. Honestly I didn't think there was much flavor at all in the food. I've had lots of Taiwanese popcorn chicken and this was probably the most bland chicken I've had. The sautéed cabbage was also very bland and the rice was very mushy/wet. This was the first time in a long time I didn't finish my food. Maybe I came in on an off day (?). Would not come back!
google avatar

Carmen Z.

Yelp
Ordered the legend popcorn chicken and curly fries. Food is pretty good although chicken was slightly on the dry side but still very good. Fries were $7.50 and the popcorn chicken was $8.50. Its a tiny store that's more geared toward the Asian themed look, located inside a food hall. There are some seating at the back but minimal and shared with the rest of the food hall. Cashier was nice and the wait was pretty quick for the food.
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
The closest thing to Taiwanese night market cutlets. The seasoning is a bit different but still tastes amazing! You can customize the toppings you want as well and change the seasoning amount. Lots of great snack options too! The leg cutlet is my favorite, thick with lots of flavor, and never dry!
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
The seasoning on the chicken was really nice and mild was quite spicy! Maybe because they use chicken breast but it was pretty dry so I didn't like it too much. More like a 3.5 but rounding up for that seasoning. It is just a stand and there's a few seats in the back shared with other food stands in the area so expect to take this to go!
google avatar

Dominic B.

Yelp
Fried chicken is beautiful in every culture and Taiwanese fried chicken is no exception. Some might even call it Legend-ary. Legend Chicken does a solid job getting their fried chicken extra crispy and well-seasoned. Although the chicken cutlet was good, it was a bit dry on my visit. However, the popcorn chicken ended up tasting much more juicy and I'd definitely come back for it again. Also, found the fried tofu to be a nice light snack. Definitely check it out if you're craving fried chicken in Flushing!

Yelp
Whenever I am in NYC, I crave popcorn chicken because Hawaii just doesn't do it right nor are there varied options. Searched on Yelp and Google Maps and found myself at a door that led to a series of mini stalls/shops that included Yifang Tea, an ice cream parlor, and Legend! They make the food to order so it was probably a smarter idea to order over the phone but I didn't mind waiting. This place is tiny with no seating space but alot of patrons seem to use delivery apps so the staff are always busy moving and doing things. Menu is very straightforward and easy to follow. I wanted to try everything - haha! But knew food like this is only good when fresh and crispy. Opted for their popcorn chicken and garlic broccoli to share with my lovely friend. We didn't eat until I brought it all back to her place but omg!!!! Popcorn chicken was piping hot, crispy and just delightful! I loved that fine dusting of spice to give it a slight kick. Garlic broccoli was a nice counterpoint and made me feel less guilty for eating fried chicken for dinner. Not overcooked and not too garlicky. I still dream about this no-frills meal (snack? for some). Just great, fast and delicious food.

Wenting Z.

Yelp
This is what will happens if you only give customer paper bag during the rainy day. Two fire chicken cutlets on the ground, wasted money, waiting time and food . I understand this is for protecting environment reasons. But the chicken don't have box , it's already in the small paper pocket. It's already hot and steaming inside the paper bag too ! Also they are heavy too. The big paper bag isn't waterproof! It's a lot thinner then grocery store paper bags. And it rained all day today. I think you should give plastic bags for customer in this weather? And I also think this is a basic logic? I don't want to ask for plastic bags, because sometimes when I ask this ppl will give me side eye or says they don't have plastic things. I also think it shouldn't be the customer 's responsibility. Why buying food is so stressful now . 27 dollars is wasted. I am glad I didn't order French fries .
google avatar

Yelp
Average popcorn chicken place (~$7.50) Good flavoring, chewy and meaty but nothing too amazing. Great friendly service. Would i go back? Probably not

Yelp
While perusing for something other than hospital food to eat we both stumbled upon Legend Chicken. We're both fans of fried chicken especially the Korean kind. So when we had our chance to partake in some hearty Taiwanese chicken we had to oblige. We ordered waffle fries, legend chicken, legend pops, sweet potato fries, and garlic string beans. The food was delicious but extremely oily. I instantly had a stomach ache and couldn't finish my food because of this. My hunny who can put it away said that there were a lot of pieces and he couldn't finish all of his legend chicken. I mean each piece was the size oh his hand, which are rather large and manly. My legend pops were nice and savory. I couldn't get past the amount of oil at the bottom of my container. The garlic string beans weren't bad but I couldn't enjoy them because of how greasy the chicken and waffle fries were. I was charged for honey mustard sauce but they didn't include it with our meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Came to try their chicken cutlet for a flushing food crawl, it didn't disappoint! - I thought the chicken cutlets were boneless but there were some bones + chicken cutlet was seasoned well, crispy, and ginormous for $12 + they gave us gloves to eat with, which is super thoughtful haha + I've never heard of fish roe Taiwanese sausages so I had to try~ it was garlicky and yummy + service was quick and friendly

Yelp
I did not expect to find a halal fried chicken shop here but I'm so glad I did. And man is it good!! It's a small Taiwanese fried chicken takeout shop inside of this mini food court. I got the chicken pops (hot spicy) with garlic and cilantro toppings as well as a hot waffle fries. They weren't kidding with the heat and I respected it. Both were very tasty I just wish I asked for some sauce on the side. One of my favorite finds and definitely coming back. Side note I believe only the fried chicken dishes are zabihah halal.
google avatar

Brandon W.

Yelp
I really hate to admit this, but the chicken honestly was not that good. The Legend Chicken here is about $12/13, which I consider to be a little steep for food in Flushing. However, the chicken piece we got was GIGANTIC, and their chicken is pretty high quality (hormone-free, stuff like that) so definitely come with a few friends. As for the food, the idea is there, but the execution was... questionable. The breading is solid, but I felt that the chicken lacked a LOT of seasoning, considering how big the piece was. I also would've appreciated some kind of sauce because it got quite old to eat and it was very bland. I'd consider trying this place again but would definitely get something traditional like the popcorn chicken. The big legend chicken just wasn't good.
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
I love the chicken here but I hate to take stars off because they are over charging without even telling me or advertised. I like my food spicy so I ask for extra spicy and they charge 50cents for that, but the whole menu theres no mention spicy level is extra charge and only add-ons are extra abut they are not spicy option. It's so disappointing that business doing things like this. If you want extra charge, PUT ON THE MENU

Yelp
No seating here so this spot is definitely for on the go eating or for when you can find a separate place to sit. We came here and ordered their famous giant fried chicken. We tried two kinds: the leg cutlet and the legend chicken. When ordering, you select the spicy level: mild, medium or hot. It really is a large portion so be ready to eat a lot or potentially share if you're looking for a snack! This chicken tastes best when freshly fried and is both crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's well seasoned and we tried both mild and medium for variety. Medium has a pleasant kick but is still tolerable though we probably both preferred the mild. Mild allowed the seasoning to shine through more. Between the different cuts of chicken, the dark meat (leg cutlet) was definitely tastier since the meat was more juicy than the legend cut (prob breast meat). The chicken comes in a folded piece of paper reminiscent of old style fish and chips wrapping. The location even provides disposable gloves to eat with since it can get pretty messy and this is definitely easier to eat with your hands. Be careful because the chicken can be very hot when it comes out of the fryer! Overall, if you're a fan of fried chicken, you'll definitely enjoy this spot. As long as you aren't afraid to get a little messy, I'd recommend it if you're able to eat it soon after ordering (otherwise it could get soggy). This type of street food is fairly popular in Taiwan so it's nice to get a little taste of it locally. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The food was so good I didn't even get a picture I just dived in. I ordered the pop chicken, wings, broccoli and sweet potato fries. Not only was it delicious but halal and affordable what more could one as for! Everything was made fresh and packaged wonderfully. Go and check it out for yourself you won't be disappointed

Yelp
I love the flushing food scene ! I was craving some fried chicken and saw great reviews of this place. This is located in a mini food hall that has a lot of yummy cuisine. I love how you can customize the spice level for the popcorn chicken. I tried the medium flavor and it was amazing definitely recommend ! This was about $9

Yelp
On the hunt for Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken we decided to try this place out. It is in this small complex with other food stalls (i.e. yifun bubble tea, chinatown ice cream, etc.) It is pretty clean! We got the legends pop aka taiwanese popcorn chicken ($8.50). This was about the average price I found and comparable to other places in the area in flushing. There was a 5-10min wait and there were other people waiting as well. It had great air conditioning so no complaints while waiting. The popcorn chicken was fresh but kind of oily (as expected). We didn't get spicy but I would try mild spicy next time. Wish it came with some kind of sauce because it was sorta dry at times. I would come back to try the other items on the menu. Bring cash, $10 min to use a credit card.

Yelp
Got the popcorn chicken, broccoli, and curly fries. Everything was tasty. It was in the middle of a mart sigh other foods. Really awesome service -- everyone was nice and food was fresh and hot. The broccoli and chicken were so good. Get an apple soda too!!

Yelp
We haven't visited Legend Chicken for a while and missed their fried chicken cutlet so much. Everything was still fried perfectly and delicious, especially the cutlet, which is super juicy inside with crunchy layer. The owner was super friendly and attentive. We placed an order via Seamless with extra service charge which we were aware and totally fine with the fee. The owner gave us two bottles of drinks to show their appreciation.

Yelp
Their fish roe Taiwanese sausage is absolutely amazing (especially with the garlic slices ) the legend chicken and the legend pops are amazing but my only complaint is I swear every time we come here it feels like they are on a lunch break and whenever they're taking lunch they don't serve people even though there may be two people or three people working at the booth. Overall, I really love this place. Just don't come here when they're on lunch I guess.

Yelp
Amazing spot for Taiwanese snacks. Second time back here and it doesnt disappoint! We tried the Pig Blood Rice Cakes and they were pretty much mochi squares. The gf loved the mochis!

Yelp
Great Taiwanese style popcorn chicken and many sides to choose from. I was a bit disappointed that the non spicy version of the popcorn chicken wasn't salty enough which will make the overall taste more blend. Hopefully they can add more savory taste into their non spicy seasoning to make it better.

Yelp
Legend Chicken is located inside the tiny Foody Town Flushing food court. I love this hole in the wall spot. It's the second stall as you enter and it is counter service only. They have seating on the second floor. Food is made to order so expect a small wait--average time of about ten minutes. On our last visit, we ordered: Legend pops: Fried chicken pieces with basil seasoning. Chicken is cooked well but still juicy. Perfect food for on the go. You can customize the level of spice. I find the medium spicy to be plenty spicy. Legend chicken: big piece of boneless breast, fried and seasoned. The first time I got this, my piece was burnt. I prefer the legend pops. Tator tots: love the crunchy exterior and soft inside. Sweet potato fries: has a light coating of powdered garlic-delicious! Fried garlic string beans: lightly fried with garlic pieces. String beans retained nice crunch and vibrant color. A surprisingly good vegetable dish. Per the sign near the counter, all of the chicken used are cage free, hormone free and halal certified.

Yelp
Omg there chicken is sooooo good. This is BY FAR the most authentic Taiwanese fried chicken in NY I'm a dark meat person so I'll always go with the leg cutlet. I'll recommend a little spicy on your order. They have great curly fries and popcorn chicken is my wife's favorite. If it's not the traffic and parking situation in Flushing, I would be there much more often
