Lemma Coffee Co - Carrollton

Okay lemma, being so consistent lately. In the past (years ago) I have had some badly made coffees from here but they are being consistently good recently at both locations. Professional latte art and good foam and tasty espresso. The coffee cake was a bit dry but it’s not a biggie.

This coffee shop is so calm, clean, spacious. I got a strawberry Matcha drink and cinnamon almond pop tart is so yummy! This is a great coffee shop to relax and work. I'm glad the music is not too loud and that it is more calm rather than over stimulating. I will definitely come back with my friends.

Lived up to the coffee hype. Recommend by The Perfect Cup app, Lemma did not disappoint. Their Ethiopia Pour Over was excellent. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Additionally, while I came up here for Lemma, I also stumbled into 3 Nations Brewing Company, which ended up being the best brewery of my entire trip!

I was visiting from out of town and always enjoy exploring local coffee shops. This café had a wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service. While the coffee was good, it wasn’t among my personal favorites. However, I would certainly return for the warm and welcoming service.

A Band of Brave Baristas at Lemma! I locked my keys in the car…cue the panic. But the Lemma crew came to my rescue. I dashed inside, explaining my distress, and the baristas, a band of modern-day knights, assembled. Armed with ingenuity, they crafted a makeshift tool to retrieve my keys from my car’s dungeon – a paperclip taped to a pen, taped to a mop handle. One deft move later and my keys were in hand! And how did the heroes celebrate? With a free cup of coffee, bestowed upon me as a token of honor. Lemma turned a locked-out disaster into a moment of victory and celebration. For that, they’re champion-level in my book.

Nice litter shop. Girl who took my order was very kind. Just took a bit longer than I think was necessary to make my drinks but wasn't a big deal. Food was good, a good amount of chairs , and places to charge if you have work to do. I don't love the seating just because it's all wooden and not comfortable for long term. Just a little pricey and coffee was okay but not my favorite.

My husband and I stopped by this coffee shop today. The atmosphere was nice and the people working there were great. I had a seasonal snickerdoodle latter that was 10/10 and my husband got the bees knees latte which was also 10/10 and they drew a little bee on it which was cute. I will definitely have to go back and try some other coffee treats.

Coffee taste great. A little strong for me but I usually order from the “not coffee” section of the menu, so that’s not saying much. 🤣 Atmosphere is great and music is good. I would work on a slow afternoon here for sure.

This place is cute! We popped in for the AC but I had a lavender London fog that was just gorgeous, and my friend got the seasonal mango latte which she also liked. The staff were helpful and friendly and the drinks were out within 5 mins. There was plenty of room to sit so it was an excellent hot afternoon day detour. The bathrooms are WAY down the hall as they are shared with other units in the building; they're clean but nothing fancy/special. Overall wouldn't seek this spot out again per se but if I was in the area I would absolutely get another lavender London fog here!

Sorry, Lemma. I can only provide a review based on my personal experience with you. The person putting the lid on my cup HAD to have known that the cup rim was damaged. I got in car and took my first sip and the coffee ended up all down the front of me and on my seat due to the lid not fitting securely. As I tried afterwards to put the lid on tight and failed, it was obvious that the barista who made this coffee had to have known there was an issue with the cup. I mean they do this all day long, every day... right????? Added a star since the product itself was good even if the experience was not. Be better.

My bestie and I went to, it's a great place. Cozy, friendly and a place you can sit and talk with your food! Brenda had iced coffee and I had hot, the flavor for both was maple cinnamon. It was delicious, smooth, tasty and no bitterness or bad aftertaste! Can't wait to go back. The baristas are so nice. I asked the young man what he recommended, and his favorite is the maple cinnamon, that worked out so well! We also shared a turkey chipotle sandwich on toast and it was delicious. Wonderful chipotle solo, spinach, tomatoes and cheese. It's a definite winner and a do over!! They had some delicious looking pastries but we opted on trying those next time! This was my wife and my first time to Lemma Coffee co and we had high hopes based on previous ratings. Lemma appears to be in a gentrified area of Dallas with a cute exterior and interior surrounded by other modern shops and stores in an older part of town. The inside is modern and clean, but it isn't the most cozy or comfortable seating. I would recommend it as a place to grab a quick coffee or have chat with old friends but probably would not suggest this location, which only had hard chairs or wooden benches, as a place for studying or working for too long. My wife and I each tried one of their unique lattes. My wife had their house latte the "Lemma Latte" that had espresso and some condensed milk and I tried the "Citrus Goth latte" which was a combination of dark mocha with orange zest. I personally love dark chocolate and orange mocha lattes so I was eager to try. Sadly, both lattes were a little lighter than we expected and less sweet than most lattes I have had. I did not get that deep espresso shot taste I was hoping for, rather a light milky espresso with little sugar and just a hint of orange flavor in the back ground. My wife's Lemma latte was a little sweeter due to the condensed milk but she too felt it lacked a stronger espresso flavor we had expected. I will say, it wasn't bad if you like a lighter latte, but it just wasn't for us. The service was kind, quick, and respectful and they had the drinks out in a flash. We didn't try any of the bakery items so I cannot comment on those but if you are in the area you should still give them a try. I know I will try again because I don't want to judge such a cute place on one experience. Please support this local business and I will gladly update or change my rating after a second round.

The hot turkey sandwich had a great texture, though it was basic. The Bee's Knees was decent as well. Customer service was satisfactory, and the establishment was clean. Parking is limited.

If you can find a place to sit, this is a great little place. Coffee is good. Staff is nice. I know they could add more seating. It's the biggest drawback to Lemma.

Haven't had a cup of coffee this good in a while! Had a delicious honey vanilla cinnamon latte and their avocado toast with a fried egg on top. The coffee was perfectly prepared and the toast was bursting with flavor. The staff is pleasant and the shop has plenty of seating. Parking was not difficult but it is street parking, I found a spot right in front of the shop. Get your baked goods immediately upon entering or they will run out! Will be back soon!

Found a great coffee spot in Downtown Carrollton! The shop was bustling and full of energy; there are plenty of seating inside and out. I tried a Flash Brew: coffee brewed hot and chilled over ice. It had an unique flavor, unlike a normal iced coffee. Very tasty! Overall, we recommend!

Found location on Yelp to meet a friend and ordered a chai latte hot while waiting which was really good. I was definitely interested in the Food Menu offerings and had my eye on the Raspberry Jam Grilled Cheese but I'll have to try it next time I'm in the area. Kind and compassionate service from the 2 young ladies working even after I overlooked the sign with the bathroom code on it

It was expensive & I was severely under impressed from the beginning. We got two lattes one large one regular, one iced, one hot. Both are bitter, look like only milk & not good in any shape or form. For $17 I will go elsewhere. People were nice working! But truly, the worst coffee I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was cold. I will be going across the street from now on, I'm never unhappy there!

Lemma is a great place to study, work, catch up with friends! There is lots of seating, outlets, and wifi. I've come here multiple times for work and enjoy the lemma late and the bee's knees latte.

I love their coffee!! I have never been to this place in person unfortunately, but had the privilege of getting a sample of their coffee gifted to me by a friend. I live in Tulsa, OK but have had my coffee beans shipped from Lemma Coffee Co since then. I am a huge fan and I will continue buying my coffee from here as long as I can!

I had a great experience at Lemma Coffee! The staff was friendly and it was a great working/study spot. I got the Lemma Latte and the Hot Turkey which had a bunch of flavor and was so filling!

Delicious! My husband and I visited Lemma Coffee Co this morning for a quick snack and coffee. He ordered the cold brew and said it was the best he's had in Dallas! I ordered the Bee's Knees and holy cow was the a burst of yummy flavors! We also got a slice of banana bread that was dense and delicious; my favorite part was the toasted oats on top! Then, we got the Turkey Sandwich to share. It was also super tasty and had a lovely little spin that made it more sophisticated than a regular-made-at-home turkey sandwich! There was plenty of seating and the service was quick and friendly! We will definitely be back!

I had no idea Carrollton had a historic downtown! So cute. I stopped by to grab a specialty latte, and it was so yummy. A lot of people were sitting inside to work or take meetings, so if you need somewhere to work, this seems like the place to do it. Their staff is really friendly and kind, and I got my coffee really fast.

I tried their cortado, and it was really good. It had a perfect balance, not too bitter, with an excellent taste. I highly recommend it! The price is also reasonable, though seating is limited.

Such a cute little spot, off the beaten path and super authentic unique space which I loved in the heart of old Carrollton. Offered a variety of drinks, milk options, and syrups. Service was great everyone was friendly and they had awesome wifi which was much appreciated! Loved my coffee as well. Not too sweet, and I ordered the standard house special (can't recall the name) but it was yum!

The food is great and so is their coffee! The wait times could be a bit better however i get that its a popular place to go. If you're looking for a new place to get coffee and a snack this is it very quaint and cozy environment.

The service is rapid, and the people working here are extremely friendly! Love the coffee shop music and ambiance of the place. Didn't try the food here, but heard good things about the toasts from friends. Very good place to get work done efficiently! The Lemma latte with oat milk was good, but will come back to try the Bee's Knees.

Wow what a pleasant surprise! I normally am a latte faithful but I ordered the cold brew on the recommendation of the barista with half vanilla foam... Best cold brew I've had...it's smooth...it does have the bite that a lot of cold brews have...highly recommend. Lost if seating...cool vibe, will be back when traveling

Went for a coffee date with 2 people. The cafe is bigger than It seems- it also feels like many people come there to work in a quiet atmosphere which honestly we broke. I got a latte- don't remember the name but it had charcoal with mocha and a twist of orange or citrus and it was very good! The other two got lattes and were satisfied!

I stopped here almost over a year and completely forgot about this coffee shop. I accidentally remembered and decided to stop before work and take some coffee in and so glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised how good the lattes were and the breakfast items we purchased. 100% satisfied w this coffee shop if you are near by make a stop and have their fruit Nutella toast! So easy to make at home but so much better here

Wooowwwwwww The flavor of this coffee, the notes that it hits, is mind blowingly good. I got the citrus charcoal mocha coffee and I tasted every single aspect of that coffee and it was DELICIOUS. This might be the best coffee I've had in 2 years. And it's definitely the best coffee in the DFW area. The coffee shop itself is hopping. There was not a single open table. The food-- I didn't try it. But when I saw those grilled sandwiches being made to order and looking that good.... Next time I'll go for a sandwich too. seriously, do yourself a favor and go to this coffee shop. They have street parking but if that's full there's a free parking lot if you go through the alley to the right behind the coffee shop. The pictures in there reminded me of New Mexico. The Sandia mountains, blue sky, wide open road. The coffee shop was like that. You walk in and it feels open. The air is light. The smells are amazing. Even if you take your coffee to go, you'd want to stay here. Wonderful ambience. Great vibes. Epic coffee.

My kids and I like the drinks and toast from here. We like the friendly service and the atmosphere is nice. There are lots of drink and food options.

Came here after dinner with friends. It was fine, nothing special or unique. The drink was also just fine. It is nice that there is s coffee shop in The little downtown area. If i do come back to Carrollton, i wouldn't mind coming back here, but won't make my way back for this specific shop.

Perfection - I'm a coffee connoisseur and this is on par with the best cappuccino I've ever had. The coffee beans used for pour overs are ridiculously delicious also. The sandwiches are also very very good. We discovered Lemma at the Dallas Coffee Fest and have been there several times since. Wish it was closer to downtown Dallas as I would love to go here everyday.

Great coffee, cozy cafe, and friendly service. My maple cappuccino with oat milk ($5.50) was delicious and even had latte art which is hard to pull off with alternative milks. They have local pastries available, and the additional seating in the back had easy access power strips mounted above the bench seat. Plenty of free parking available around this historic downtown Carrollton area. Looking forward to coming back!

Drink is quite good, not very strong coffee flavor, quite sweet. Coffee shop is nice, not so busy, good for friends hangout.

Good Coffee, but Ask for Extra Syrup at Lemma Lemma has really good coffee, but I'd recommend asking for extra syrup if you like your drinks sweet. Their house-made syrup is nice, but it doesn't have the same level of sweetness as what you get at most regular coffee shops. The service is great, and the vibes are perfect for a relaxing coffee break. Definitely worth a visit!

Lemma is my favorite local coffee shop- the pastries are delicious since they are brought in from a local pastry shop. They no longer offer breakfast tacos. Get the cinnamon cruffin if you don't know which one to get- you won't regret it. They feature seasonal drinks and I don't think I've had one I didn't like. I came in recently and had the citrus rosemary latte and it was so goood!! My sister got the same one but cold and was also really good. They recently extended their sitting area which is really nice. Decor is super cute and simple and has a super chill atmosphere.

We're never in Carrollton.. except for today, and the coffee here will probably have us driving back!! My Lemma latte was so flavorful and bold, it's travel-worthy for sure!! The hubs got an iced mocha, described as having a citrus kick, and he loved it! So glad we stopped by to give this place a try.

Took a detour on my way to lunch and found myself in this little coffee shop today. Ambiance: cute and plenty of seating. I almost missed the extra seating around the corner of the coffee bar. Everything was kept very clean. Service: quick! The baristas really know what they're doing here. Lemma latte: I opted for the lemma latte with oat milk. Love the latte art! The coffee was a little on the sour side for me so it wasn't as smooth as I'd hope it to be. Something was missing there but I still down that latte in less than 3 minutes so I definitely still enjoyed it. Looking forward to my next visit here. Their pastries look so delicious!

Friendly baristas and fast service! Tried the lemma latte which is a latte with condensed milk - I usually prefer my drinks on the sweeter side so this was perfect without being too sweet. The coffee is really rich and almost has a nutty taste. I am no coffee connoisseur but I enjoyed it! There's ample seating inside. On a weekday afternoon it was really quiet and great for getting some work done. I liked their music taste - generally on the softer side, not too loud or distracting for the environment. Lots of outlets everywhere for charging your devices.

A very nice coffee shop in the lovely downtown Carrollton area. I ordered the bees knees and the avocado toast and overall really enjoyed my breakfast. This place got pretty crowded quickly on a Friday and it's not super huge so make sure to get here early. I will say that just how it's laid out, I personally wouldn't really try to stay for a long time to study like I would at other coffee shops. The coffee was well made and I highly recommend it. Just slightly sweet and tasted very balanced. The avocado toast I wasn't too impressed with. It wasn't bad, but it just made me wish I ordered something else. A slice of bread with avocado smear, cherry tomatoes and raw onions for $6 wasn't as satisfying as I wanted it to be. It would be cool if they pickled the onions so your not just biting into raw onion.

This place was a delightful surprise with its food. Since it's a coffee shop, we didn't expect too much of the food but everything was good. The avocado toast was so yummy and creamy, with red onions and avocado on top making it refreshing. The ham and cheese sandwich was yuuummy too!! Perfect amount of bread to filling ratio. The sauce and cheese was perfectly portioned out as well and enhanced the flavor. We also got a fruit parfait which was so yummy though a little smaller lol. Cute vibes and plenty of space inside. Overall loved this place and will have to try the coffee next time!

Had a coffee and tried the Avocado toast and it was so good. It was a nice quiet and clean coffee shop.

I love Lemma; it's one of my favorite coffee shops in "Dallas" (Carrollton). I always get a black coffee, americano, or pour over when I go, so I can't speak to the latte crowd. But I like their coffee! Probably this place's strong point is the service and the vibe -- the people who work there have always been so polite and offered good service. As for the atmosphere, it's on the quieter side, ideal for reading, journaling, a coffee date, or conversation with a friend. It's right off the charming little downtown Carrollton space too. Look forward to going back.

Most of my co-workers are still working from home. To change things up, we decided to meet up and have a work session outside the comfort of our home the coming Friday. We picked out this coffee place because the location is mutually convenient to us. The place is not big. They put tables and chairs on the two sides against the walls, leaving the middle of the place open. So the interior looks comfy and spacious. If you like to sit outside, you can take one of the tables right outside to enjoy the the Carrollton downtown traffic while sipping your coffee or latte. As usual, when I come to a new coffee place, I always try their house coffee. If they do it right, everything else will fall into place. They do offer different kinds of coffee. Upon recommendation of the barista, I went for Kirinyaga, which is a Kenya coffee. The coffee is very aromatic, not too strong, smooth with a pleasant fruity taste. I also tried their strawberry and cheese sandwich, which is an interesting combination. It was sweet and, of course, cheesy. I liked the toasted bread also. My co-workers ordered their hot turkey and cucumber avocado sandwiches. They all seemed to enjoy it very much since they didn't complain about anything. Knowing they roast their own coffee, one of my coworkers bought a small bag of coffee beans home. We enjoyed the food and drinks, and the friendly service. And most of all, we got some work done to wrap up our work week!

YAY I love this place! I'm a big coffee drinker and usually I don't get sweet coffee. However, I saw on Yelp someone getting a BeesKnees and I couldn't pass on such a cute coffee haha BeesKnees had the perfect amount of sweetness and coffee balance! I hope to be back to try their regular black coffee. The employees were very nice and although its not a big cafe it wasn't too loud. They do have restroom but you have to go out their back door and walk down a very long hallway haha just so y'all know.

Went here before work, it looks very nice inside. I came for an iced mocha and breakfast tacos but she said they no longer sell breakfast tacos. The other food didn't interest me so I went to Jack instead for for food. So this is just off the coffee and service. The lady was really nice and I got the coffee fast. Their coffee is really strong and good. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for good coffees..

What a great discovery today!! I enjoyed my late! I will definitely be back to explore more coffee choices. The staff was very helpful.
