Most of my co-workers are still working from home. To change things up, we decided to meet up and have a work session outside the comfort of our home the coming Friday. We picked out this coffee place because the location is mutually convenient to us.
The place is not big. They put tables and chairs on the two sides against the walls, leaving the middle of the place open. So the interior looks comfy and spacious. If you like to sit outside, you can take one of the tables right outside to enjoy the the Carrollton downtown traffic while sipping your coffee or latte.
As usual, when I come to a new coffee place, I always try their house coffee. If they do it right, everything else will fall into place. They do offer different kinds of coffee. Upon recommendation of the barista, I went for Kirinyaga, which is a Kenya coffee. The coffee is very aromatic, not too strong, smooth with a pleasant fruity taste. I also tried their strawberry and cheese sandwich, which is an interesting combination. It was sweet and, of course, cheesy. I liked the toasted bread also.
My co-workers ordered their hot turkey and cucumber avocado sandwiches. They all seemed to enjoy it very much since they didn't complain about anything. Knowing they roast their own coffee, one of my coworkers bought a small bag of coffee beans home.
We enjoyed the food and drinks, and the friendly service. And most of all, we got some work done to wrap up our work week!
