Let's Go Ya Souvlakia

I recently dined at let's go ya souvlakia and I had a wonderful experience. The prices were incredible for the quality and portion size. The lemon potatoes were cooked to perfection, and the lamb was rich and flavorful. The atmosphere was cozy and traditional Greek. I highly recommend this restaurant for delicious and authentic Greek meal. Thanks Mike and Angelo

The atmosphere takes you to a tiny little slice of Greece. The music is on point and the food is amazing! I was on the search for a piece of ambience and good food and I found it! Would come here every day if I lived here! Portions are huge!

The food was amazing! Super big portions. We ordered the all 3 gyro platter and the halloumi skewers, and they were excellent. The veggies were fresh, meat was spot on, and loved the fries too! Will definitely come back :)

Reminded me of a cozy Greek restaurant in Kasos Greece. Service top class their kind and attentive staff extended that famous Greek hospitality and warmth. Added bonus a backyard. The only authentic Greek restaurant in Flatbush Brooklyn.

New Greek food establishment recently opened. The original Greek products are excellent and vey varied. Also Greek beer and wine. Vegetarian options are available. Cretan dakos is finger-licking good. Excellent service. Very well located on Flatbush Av in the heart of Brooklyn. Absolutely recommended.

Incredibly authentic food that was absolutely DELICIOUS! Staff was kind and courteous. We ended up staying for 3 hours!

We ordered from here on DoorDash. It was the first day of the vacation and my daughter and I dis not feel like going to a restaurant, or really anywhere. We each ordered an item and split the items. The Greek salad was very good. The feta was so flavorful and real zesty. The rest of the salad was delicious. The gyro was absolutely smothered in sauce. We dis not ask for this although she paid for extra feta and we dis not receive any. The gyro was still pretty good and the chicken was tasty. I was happy to eat something off the beaten path for me.

I really wanted to like this place seeing as Prospect Heights is severely lacking in Greek restaurants - but the food always tastes too salty, greasy, and overcooked. And the lemon potatoes are also beyond salty. We've ordered from here twice and eaten here once hoping it would somehow taste better in person but... it just didn't. While the spot itself is intimate and bright, with a pay at the counter sort of layout - I wish the food was better.

Take out review We got the gyro family platter and holy cow. It was a lot of food. Easily could've fed four people. The food was absolutely delicious and we love the pita, tzatziki, gyro. Unfortunately, the fries are on the bottom so they were a little soggy when we got to them, but I can't wait to go and try more menu options when dining in. Will definitely be going back Also the decor reminded me of the Greek islands. Love it!

I enjoyed my bowl outside of their "ya sauce" and the very salty chicken skewer however . The rice , roasted veggies and peppers were really delicious . The ya sauce is absolutely the worst sauce I've ever had with a meal . It was so bad I threw it out instantly and took some bbq out from the fridge . The bbq sauce couldn't lift the chicken sufficiently for me to enjoy the meat . It was cooked slightly too much giving it a char which combined with the saltiness really made it borderline avoidable. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed and is just perfect for the summer vibes . I'd def give it another chance and hope the meat options are better prepared on the next visit if not I can see myself having the veggie bowl once in a blue.

Ya gets 5 stars for a tasty beef and lamb gyro that was also well portioned for the money. Nice,soft yet not too chewy pita, and they didn't skimp on the meat either - all for $10. Glancing at dishes that were being delivered to other tables, the platters looked tempting too. We elected to eat there since they have indoor tables and outdoor tables on a back patio. The place was not too busy around 6pm and the food came out quickly. The fries with feta could have been crispier, but they were well seasoned and hot so I was happy with them. They came with a side of their house 'Ya' sauce, which to be honest I'm not sure exactly what it was, some sort of mustard aioli, but it tasted good and went well with the fries. We'll be back!

It's like a 7/10. Chicken skewers pita was just ok. The chicken was a little cold and there was too much lettuce in the pita. Sauce was decent. The lemon potatoes were very, very good. Would get those again. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing ‍

I really, really loved this place! The food was so good and FRESH. The lamb and pork in particular were great, and their tzatziki might be one of my faves! They have a lovely backyard patio, but the inside is very cute as well. The staff was super friendly and attentive. 100% would go back!

I got a generous amount of food and a glass of good Greek wine for a reasonable price here. I love how vegetarian-friendly Greek food is, and this place does it well (salads, a white bean soup, appetizers and dips, vegetable and haloumi skewers, etc). Very worth checking out on a lazy afternoon!

Gyro sandwich: great pita, good meat, good price, but overall just meh. Personally, I don't like fries in my gyro sandwich; the fries are good, and I'd rather just eat them on the side. Tzatziki a little too thick for my tastes (it added to the dry effect of the gyro, rather than lubricating things). The tomatoes were actually revolting--the most mealy tomatoes I've ever had the misfortune of tasting, so I pulled those out after a few bites. So between the dry tomatoes, the thick tzatziki, and the fries in there, the whole sandwich was kind of pasty. But worst of all, it seemed like it had no salt on it, so it was also pretty flavorless. A few tweaks would make this a great gyro: a little more salt all around, a slightly looser and more flavorful tzatziki, better (and more) onions, and good god, please, better tomatoes. And at least for me; I'd ask for the fries on the side only. Greek salad: those tomatoes were at least 50% of the salad, and they were inedible (seriously, the worst I've ever had--you know what I mean: it's February, and these are the prototypical tomatoes picked green, then refrigerated for six months and let to slowly "ripen" to a grainy, mushy pink mess with no resemblance of tomato in any way). This time of year, at least, if you're going to lean so heavily on tomatoes, you have to just use hothouse grape tomatoes if you can't get a decent regular one. The rest of the salad was fine, but again, totally underseasoned. Seemed to be dressed in oil and vinegar, with a pinch of oregano--which would be fine if the ingredients (those darned tomatoes) were decent. But in the absence of delicious ingredients, you need a punchy dressing to make up for things (hence the ubiquitous "Greek dressing" with all it's salt and sugar and garlic, etc)... The fries: GREAT, once we added a good bit of salt to them. Would I ever go again? Maybe I'd try it once more, since it's down the street. The ingredients were (except those tomatoes) fresh and the prices were right; mostly it was a serious under-seasoning issue. Perhaps I'd get a family platter, so everything would be easy to season myself with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon, at least...? For reference, for me, the standard-bearer for this kind of Greek place is the old Spartan Souvlaki in Sunset Park/Bay Ridge (RIP!!). I also love the food at Avlee in Carroll Gardens.

I've walked by this new Greek place so many times and finally decided to pop in. I absolutely did not regret it. The portion sizes are HUGE and the prices are incredibly reasonable for what you get. In 2024, a gyro pita is only $10 (with fries inside) and a plate is $18, but has enough protein for about 3 meals. Get the Ya Piato, since it comes with the three gyro meats! Fries were absolutely delicious. Hand cut, crispy and very good seasoning. Everything tastes homemade and delicious. Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood!

Opa!!! I discovered Ya Souvlakia on their OPENING DAY and it's very, very good. Do not hesitate to try this excellent truly authentic Greek spot. I've been going to Greece for decades and have a dear "foodie" friend who has taken me on many a deep culinary dive. I feel like I have had my share of authentic Greek food. Ya Souvlakia does not disappoint. In fact it's a dream. It's rare a restaurant is really ready to open on its opening day but YA is run by the real deal, and my experience was very positive. The Greek gentlemen behind the counter were classic examples of the heart of Greek the temperament: calm, warm, amiable and passionate about their craft. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I ordered a two souvlaki platter: pork and chicken. They were cooked to perfection and very juicy and flavorful (not dried out as many places present). The fries were classic Greek cut and I squeezed lemon on the generous portion in the Greek manner. The accompanying pita, tomatoes & onions and the sauces were excellent- fresh and homemade. The decor is simple: clean, practical and has a more take-out vibe (you order at counter and food is brought to your table), but YA has classic Greek music playing (I love the old school Greek crooning vibe), some nice murals and a warm wooden floor. They have a great outdoor garden in back which makes it feel a little more like a "taverna" to me. I believe this place is going to be a winner in the Prospect Park/Park Slope area. It is with me. Thank you YA Souvlakia for adding to my Mediterranean foodie options and for bringing authentic Greek comfort food closer to home! I'll be back.

Friendly service Souvlaki is too dry/overcooked to be served as a standalone platter. Dryness can be buried in a sandwich. Need to focus on quality. Patio is nice

Incredibly friendly staff. Clean welcoming dining area and genuinely amazing family size Pork Gyro Platter. We got the platter for two, but it could easily feed three or maybe even four.

Ordered delivery. One of the best delivery experiences recently. It was fast, but i ordered the family dinner for 2 with 2 platters. It was served family style with. Great portion and great food. On criticism would be that they could be more generous with the tzatziki. The value was there that it so far to find these days, particularly with Mediterranean in the area. This is a very welcome and needed addition to the neighborhood.

Authentic Greek gyro in New York. Chicken gyro sandwich was delicious Skepasti also mouth watering. Excellent service too. This restaurant really transported me to Greece. White walls blue windows so beautiful and they have a patio too. I will definitely return here and try the platters or the bowls they have .

I stopped in to Let's Go Ya to sample their goods. I ordered a Pork Gyro sandwich, and a sour Cherry soda. They have outdoor seating and I grabbed a table in the backyard. The Gyro was tasty, but not the best that I've sampled. My sour Cherry soda was tasty, but a bit pricey at $3.50. My bill was $14.70. Thank U next!

I noticed when the sign went up and passed the store several times after they opened. I decided to give them a try on a random Tuesday and I AM SO HAPPY I DID. When I walked in, the cashier greeted me and was so nice as she answered all my questions. I decided to get the shrimp gyro and it was DELICIOUSSSSS! The decor is beautiful and even though I took my food to go, I could easily sit with a group of friends and have a nice meal. Now I can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu. Do yourself a favor and go get a gyro!

Truly thrilled to finally have a fantastic Greek spot nearby!! Walked in on a whim and was blown away. I got the chicken gyro pita sandwich -- the chicken was juicy and flavorful, the pita was hot and fresh, the tzatziki was tangy and delicious. Plus- especially for a meal around here, it was super affordable and a nice big portion size. The staff were very friendly, and the ambiance inside was downright adorable. All blue and white, like a little slice of Greece in Brooklyn. Seriously- I can't WAIT to go back. Getting hungry just thinking about it. An awesome new go-to!

Fantastic addition to the neighborhood! Nice family vibe with mellow coastal-Greek decor. We ate on the lovely patio and had lamb and beef gyros and lemon potatoes - both were delicious, hearty , and well priced. Highly recommend!
