The 38 Best Restaurants in Dublin, Ireland | Eater

"Irish chef Kevin Burke worked for years in London, including as head chef at Michelin-starred restaurant the Ninth, before returning to town as part of a wave of chefs bringing excitement to Dublin. At Library Street, in the former Allta space, he’s knocking out some thrilling food. Start with the char-grilled langoustines (just get right in there and let those juices drip down your face), then the risotto, followed by meat from the grill. And dive into the low-intervention wine list, where there are plenty of options by the glass. Plates are designed to be shared, but after one taste you may not feel like doing so. Must-try dish: Whatever you do, leave room for the spectacular desserts." - Corinna Hardgrave

Library Street

"As you open the door to this trendy restaurant, you’re greeted by a lively buzz and smiling faces. Sit at the counter or one of the lovingly restored 100-year-old ash tables, while surrounded by laughter and contented chatter. The cooking comes in the form of a regularly changing menu of sharing plates, including options like roast lamb with kalamata olives and Jerusalem artichoke. Local ingredients are key to the bold, original dishes." - Michelin Inspector

Avoid . Overpriced and underwhelming food Atmosphere felt like a staff canteen in a tech company . Except you would get far better food for free at a tech company canteen Under seasoned food. The gnocchi needed either more lemon/ lime or spicy flavours . Same goes for nearly every dish we ordered . Bland, bland and zero flavour . Go to Tescos or Aldi and their ready meals taste a lot better .The only dish I can recommend is the cabbage. A stark difference in service quality and food when I first came in 2022. Don’t bother coming here , plenty of better restaurants in Dublin . Overpriced for what is essentially canteen food . Gnocchi was rubbery and over cooked . Oysters were rancid and acidic , quail was delicious , most of the starters ( we ordered nearly all of them ) lacked flavour and were the equivalent of a supermarket reqdy meal . Most of the meal tasted like it was supermarket bought and reheated in the microwave . Cocktail menu very poor and limited. Overall all the dishes were very bland , under seasoned. Service was very rushed . Plenty of other restaurants in the vicinity like Pichet that are far better value and much better service . Wouldn’t go back . Go elsewhere

Library Street is a complete and utter gem tucked away beside the car park off Dawson Street. This unassuming establishment serves up some of the most interesting and delicious dishes I’ve had in Dublin City. The truest standout for me is their creative take on the humble Oyster. Unlike any that I’ve had before. I would absolutely be recommending this spot to anyone looking for tasty and exciting meal in the city

Never had a pork chop this tender and juicy before. Every dish was excellent. Pricing is very reasonable. Service attentive and the space is cosy but feels open from the high ceiling. The morel veloute could be slightly thicker so it can accompany the pork chop more easily.

4/5 great food and a few standout dishes that I’d return for but a few misses that made the price more difficult to justify. Great vibe and available resos last minute. Marinated peppers were bright and delicious, the horseradish anchovies starter which was a lot more mellow than youd think, it was so delicious definitely a highlight. Followed by quail (served somewhat rare and tough for my liking but in a delicious aus jus sauce and a nice salad, truffle raviolo (okay it was well cooked pasta but the egg inside was cooked hard- it also needed a bit of acid and salt), bread course which was great, wild garlic risotto was by far my favorite so flavorful perfectly cooked great texture, the pork chop was a close second well seasoned and good brown butter sauce. Chocolate dessert was light fantastic flavor and great texture. Good cocktail and wine list. About 80 euro per person with all this food a bottle of red and three cocktails. Service was very kind

You can eat very well in Dublin, and this place is an example. It is on the dearest side, but it makes up for the quality, simplicity, and inventiveness of the recipes with a very good service. Perfect for occasions like birthdays, celebrations, or even for classic Thursday night diner if your budget allows it. I recommend this place. (Specially the gnocchi and rabbit roll) Only downside: if you serve an unprepared fish like turbot, specify it on the menu, sauce on the side, and an extra plate for the bones.

Library St was an excellent experience, delivered impeccable food and wine and fantastic, efficient and friendly service. Stand outs were the lamb chops, turbot and rabbit in laminated brioche but everything we tried we loved. Great vibe, super play list and a buzzy feel made the whole night a memorable one.
