Great quality Sicilian food and service with a nice atmosphere.
- Schiacciatta Polpetta - $23: A soft airy, but still crispy flatbread pizza where it is breaded all around, top to bottom. It is then “stuffed” with sauce, meats, and two cheeses. The ricotta cheese was a great addition! There was still plenty of meat to compliment. The herbs and parmesan cheese on top added a great texture.
All in all, it was great quality and nothing was out of place. It wasn’t super exotic or premium, but was still very amazing!
- Garlic Bread - $4: A unique bread, but nothing that would turn off most people. Airy, crispy, yet still plenty soft, and a touch of herby heartiness. It had added salt throughout that gave it just a bit of savory punch.
The sauce it came with was a bit sweet. I actually didn’t like either the bread or sauce by themselves, but they complimented well and definitely belong together. Just keep the sauce amount on each bite to a medium or lighter amount and it will be just right.
- Service: Superb. We were greeted immediately, sat down quickly, and were served fairly quickly. There were a couple of minutes delay, but nothing major. The waitress was very helpful, knowledgeable, and VERY positive and cheerful.
- Atmosphere: Not very romantic, but not fast food. Somewhere in between with SOME class. It was clean, organized, and bright. There were a couple of TVs with sports playing, but it was muted (I think). They plated old 70’s and 80’s music VERY quietly.
- Conclusion: I would like to go back again. It has a lot of unique Sicilian options that I think are compatible with most American tastes. The prices are a little higher than average restaurants, but not bad at all for the quality.
