★★★★★ Life’s Alive – A Must-Visit for Healthy & Delicious Food! Life’s Alive is a fantastic new addition to the dining scene! This 100% organic restaurant offers an incredible selection of fresh, clean, and high-quality ingredients. The interiors are bright, colorful, and inviting, with comfortable seating that makes for a pleasant dining experience. We ordered a salad and a pita wrap, while my wife enjoyed the ramen bowl. Everything was bursting with flavor and freshness! Their selection of fresh-brewed coffee and juices is also impressive. If you care about what you put into your body and appreciate great-tasting, nutritious food, this is the place for you. Keep in mind, it’s a casual dining spot—not fine dining—but the quality of food and competitive prices make it a hidden gem. Highly recommend giving Life’s Alive a try! Will definitely be back soon.

I was a big fan of Life Alive in Cambridge and am thrilled to see it come to DC. In short, I like the restaurant and recommend it. The food is good, the servers are nice, and the ambience is lovely. It's a good spot both for getting a meal as well as grabbing a coffee and hanging out. Our favorite dish was the Golden Buddha bowl, particularly with the feta spinach fritters added. I was also a big fan of the Elvis smoothie, which mixes flavors of peanut butter, coconut, banana, and chocolate in a lovely blend. I enjoyed the Adventurer bowl as well, although it wasn't as good as I remembered in Cambridge. I think they used less sauce than ideal, so while tasty, it didn't have as much flavor as I remember it having before. Still, I'm very happy to see Life Alive in DC and look forward to going back to try more!

As a long time Boston-Life-Alive-fan, I am thrilled that Life Alive has come to DC. The restaurant is clean, high energy and staff very excited and welcoming. The food is high quality and delicious. So happy to see they’ve kept many of the classic dishes and I’m excited to try some new things. My favorites are the green goddess (with udon instead of rice) and the spicy green tonic to drink. The hot sauce is spectacular. I would recommend for a lunch or casual dinner, or for staying a while and working.

I used to love Life Alive in Boston so I was very excited to try it out in DC. I appreciate the healthier food options and I’m still planning on coming back to try more dishes. The most disappointing was that we ordered the Udon and Ramen dishes, specifically asking for “extra hot” temperatures. When then arrived, the soil and sea ramen was so cold that it tasted like someone forgot to heat up the noodles or the broth midway. When I brought this up to the food runner, he said the chef told him to relay it’ll be extra 20 minutes just to get it hotter. He came back with the same bowl we handed over maybe 10 min later, and said that was the hottest they could make it. It was lukewarm at best, and had they communicated it wasn’t possible to make the dish hot, I wouldn’t have ordered it. The mushroom shawarma warm bowl was the best of the three dishes. I added the tofu for added protein, and it paired well. The coffee drinks were very yummy and actually served at appropriate temperatures. Unfortunate that we can’t adjust the sweetness levels, because that leaves no option for those who want to watch their sugar intake.

Terrific staff and atmosphere, adequate food. It's a wonderful environment for dining-in, with fresh decor and a higher level of service than similar fast-casual eateries: order and pay at the front, then food is delivered to your table elegantly plated. Friendly, attentive staff brought water and cleared the table afterwards. Unfortunately, the miso eggplant and crispy rice bowl ($14) was just okay. It was a great combination of ingredients and had a good flavor, but the eggplant and the tofu were tough and a chore to chew. If they were cooked differently, it would have been a great dish. It was my first visit, so maybe the other dishes are better.

Golden Buddha grain bowl is my favorite, but we tried many things and they were all fantastic. The Blue Breeze was so tasty and beautiful with “yogurt clouds”.

Had a really delicious Chili Garlic Noodle Bowl to go. The garlic gochujang sauce was amazing with the oyster mushrooms! Definitely need to come back to try some of the other items on the menu

I’ve been to Life Alive’s Cambridge location and the DC opening did not disappoint! The food was incredibly tasty + ambiance was on point. The prices aren’t bad for DC either! Can’t wait to go again.
