2 Longtime Williamsburg Dives Shutter Tonight — and More Closings - Eater NY

"Lower East Side Lebanese restaurant Lil’ Gem shuttered. It opened in 2017 and was new to the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for 2019. It served various mezze, as well as family-style plates." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Great little restaurant with tasty food and cocktails. Worth a visit if your in town.

They take reservations. Great food and atmosphere. Surprisingly quiet for an NYC restaurant, there's no loud music and you can hear everyone talk. Good for groups up to 4. You should come out early because their most popular stuff can go out quickly (lamb tenderloin - deconstructed shawarma). I was told that they didn't have a freezer so everything is usually sent in fresh that day. We tried the rack of lamb and the lamb tenderloin. Both very delicious. For the keto eaters - apparently the rack of lamb is a perfect meal. Service was very nice.

I stepped into Lil' Gem while waiting for reservations elsewhere and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The bartender was knowledgeable and communicative, and the owner was present and excited to share information about the restaurant. I ordered a Whiskey Disco, which was very tasty and enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The only complaint i can possibly muster is that the space could have been a bit more comfortable. But it was truly an excellent experiencd; we had a great waiter, the cocktails were delicious and everything we ordered surpassed our high expectations.

Loved this place, Wow! New Lebanese in a great neighborhood. The Lamb Chops and the Hummus were the best I've ever had. The Dukkah crust on the lamb was so flavorful and was a perfect Med Rare. Now, that Hummus, I haven't had hummus like that since I was last in Tel Aviv. I asked the chef and it is special. Just try it. See you a lot this fall lil' gem!

A warm, welcoming, comfortably special room. Professional hospitality from people who seem truly happy to see you. And some of the most flavorful, well composed, carefully prepared bites I’ve ever tasted. We had three types of kibbeh, a couple mezzes and the eggplant entree. Can’t wait to return!

wondering if the reviews are honest. Not real Lebanese. Shawerma ? sliced lamb obviously prepared in a different way, runny baba ganoush, soggy flat bread (probably Nan bread from Costco),heavy hand on Sumac or lemon on the greens, and most of all, prices charged were different than prices on the menu. When questioning... the answer was "the menu prices were not correct".. Well,, we were eleven patrons this past Sunday may 6,,, once is enough... Good luck to them,,, wont last ..

My wife and I have been three times now, the first two were back to back nights (crazy I know, but it’s saying something). The food is wonderful, service fantastic, ambience is local and authentic and all of it is consistent. You should go.
