The Best Restaurants In Aruba - Aruba - The Infatuation

"This Peruvian bistro on the Oranjestad harbor is the best restaurant in Aruba, full stop. Though the family-run spot opened in 2021, it’s quickly become a local favorite. Expect a long line of walk-ups, from chefs and bartenders on their night off to vacationers who simply need this to be their last meal before flying home. Prioritize the expertly made pisco sours, ceviche of the day with leche de tigre, the just-charred enough grilled cauliflower with salsa verde, and the fish with yuca purée—if you ask nicely, your server might give you the recipe so you can make the flavor-packed sauce at home. Dessert is non-negotiable—don’t make the mistake of not ordering the crème caramel. And while flan is on almost every menu on the island, theirs flecked with vanilla beans is the most delicious." - jacqueline dole

11 Places to Explore in Aruba | Eater

"Off the Oranjestad Boardwalk, seek out Lima Bistro for an authentic Peruvian meal in a stylish space. Start with a maracuyá pisco sour, which amps up Peru’s national cocktail with passion fruit. Since Peru is known for ceviche, start with the featured ceviche of the day or the special ceviche that highlights calamari and rocoto, a traditional Peruvian pepper. If you’re a meat eater, try the beef anticuchos, or skewered beef hearts, a Peruvian delicacy. Carnivores also shouldn’t miss the lomo saltado, another classic steak dish, flavored with onions, tomatoes, peppers, and mixed with French fries." - Marie Elena Martinez

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! Lima Bistro absolutely blew us away from start to finish. Every dish was outstanding — the Crudo was impossibly fresh and bright, the Lomo Saltado was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, and the Mahi Mahi was tender and beautifully seasoned. The sauces that accompanied both the Lomo Saltado and Mahi Mahi were absolutely incredible — rich, balanced, and layered with flavor that tied everything together perfectly. To top it all off, we had the best French toast we’ve ever tasted for dessert, paired with vanilla ice cream — pure heaven. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated, and the service was just as impressive as the food. While we might not make it back to Aruba anytime soon, going back for another dinner at Lima Bistro is easily the most tempting reason to return.

This is definitely a great place. Service is fast and friendly. Drinks are a little pricey though well made mostly worth it. Ask for price of "special" drinks as my wife's was $22 and was good but made a little over priced. Everything dish we got was excellent. We did mostly appetizers which were all delicious and very flavorful. We had the scallops, the beef skews and the market ceviche. Desert was Carmel creme was good. Many main dishes I would love to try and may go back when more hungry. Even though this is near Cruise ship port it was very good.

A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! My favorite meal on the island!!! I am gluten and dairy free and not only were they able to easily accommodate me, but our server, Abbie, was able to guide me to what would be safest to order. She was very knowledgeable of allergens and of the dishes as prepared. I felt completely safe eating there and would 150% eat there again if I ever came back. As a starter, they gave me gluten free toast and a homemade artisan sourdough to my husband served with this amazing red wine butter. We had ceviche with 2 types of corn and plantain chips. Then my husband ordered the pork chop which looked more like a leg, and I got the lomo saltado which is the best I’ve ever had. We were too full for dessert but we got multiple drinks - pisco sour, el compadre, and the weekly special - and all were amazing, but I think I’ll dream of the el compadre. So so good and HIGHLY recommend, it’s a MUST if you’re on the island.

The hostess at the front was top notch her name however she was from the Philippines). She greeted me and my finance and made us feel welcomed to the restaurant. We then was served by our waitress (I had forgotten her name as well) and was again notch. The best food on the island. So much flavour and the food presentation brought each dish to life. I would honestly come back everyday if I could and looking to have a 2nd booking on the weekend. Thank you for the amazing food and service!

Lima NEVER disappoints. From Cauliflower steak and lamb shanks to flank steak, everything was awesome. And don't forget about the desserts! The staff makes us feel special and like family every time we visit. Lima is my favorite restaurant on the island.

The food was absolutely delicious! I am from Peru and all of the flavors were just amazing! The market ceviche touched my heart and made me feel like at home. Hoping to be back soon!

A friend and I had a great dinner at Lima, a Peruvian-inspired restaurant in Aruba. Definitely worth a visit! The setting is a bit more on the fancy side, but still relaxed . We shared two starters: the beef anticucho and the red beet dish (with apple balsamic, chocolate, crunchy quinoa, and parmesan foam). That last one was surprisingly good, the flavor combo really worked! For the main, I had the short ribs, which came recommended. Definitely a good call – the meat was super tender and flavorful, and came with things like yuca purée, truffle, and tucupi (a yellow sauce made from cassava root, apparently). Big portion too. We ended with the passion fruit curd dessert, which we shared. Tasty, though quite sweet – maybe a bit too much if you're not into desserts, but still enjoyable. Service was friendly and they took my allergies seriously, which I always appreciate. Cocktails were a bit pricey, but all in all, a nice evening and I'd happily come back! :)

Fantastic!! Highly recommend. Higher end restaurant with great service. Food was amazing! Started off with complimentary sour dough with their house made spreads which were a hit! We went to straight to mains after which we ordered the lobster sous vide and lamb shank. Both were excellent. Dessert we did their caramel flan which we cleaned the plate! Minimal wait time between plates! The best place we ate at while in Aruba!
