A friend and I had a great dinner at Lima, a Peruvian-inspired restaurant in Aruba. Definitely worth a visit! The setting is a bit more on the fancy side, but still relaxed .
We shared two starters: the beef anticucho and the red beet dish (with apple balsamic, chocolate, crunchy quinoa, and parmesan foam). That last one was surprisingly good, the flavor combo really worked!
For the main, I had the short ribs, which came recommended. Definitely a good call – the meat was super tender and flavorful, and came with things like yuca purée, truffle, and tucupi (a yellow sauce made from cassava root, apparently). Big portion too.
We ended with the passion fruit curd dessert, which we shared. Tasty, though quite sweet – maybe a bit too much if you're not into desserts, but still enjoyable.
Service was friendly and they took my allergies seriously, which I always appreciate. Cocktails were a bit pricey, but all in all, a nice evening and I'd happily come back! :)
