Upscale Italian with fresh seafood, pizza, cocktails.

"I was surprised to learn that Carla Pellegrino, the 'Top Chef' star and winner of 'Throwdown with Bobby Flay' who joined Limoncello Fresh Italian Kitchen in January as partner and chef, will step away effective Saturday, October 28. Pellegrino—who previously ran restaurants such as Bacio at the Tropicana and Bratalian in Henderson, both now shuttered—said she is preparing to take on an exciting new dining concept that will require a move and her full attention, and she looks forward to sharing details when the time is right; she also said it has been her pleasure to once again call Las Vegas her home and that she hopes her path leads her back here." - Janna Karel

"At 8245 West Sahara Avenue, I learned that Limoncello Fresh Italian Kitchen opened in 2019 and is helmed by husband-and-wife restaurateurs Giuseppe and Jenny Bavarese; the restaurant specializes in Italian cooking, including a stracci di mare pasta with mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari, and scallops in a cognac sauce and a pollo limoncello with lemon white wine. Carla Pellegrino, a Top Chef contestant born in Brazil and raised in Italy, is joining as partner and chef, bringing experience from restaurants she has opened and led across the country." - Janna Karel

"In addition to serving its full menu, Limoncello will serve featured entrees including an 8-ounce prime center-cut beef filet mignon served with sauteed shiitake mushrooms and oven-dried tomato in a Barolo reduction and a rich traditional Tuscan seafood stew served with crostini." - Janna Karel

"Opened last November on Sahara Avenue near Cimmaron Road, this upscale Italian restaurant focuses on fresh seafood and pasta dishes alongside pizzas and antipasti; it was doing well until Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered nonessential businesses to close. Owner Consarino has launched the 'Feed the Frontlines' project to raise funds to provide meals for more than 12,000 health-care professionals and first responders while keeping his staff employed, with a $250,000 goal. The program is not a nonprofit and donations are not tax-deductible; supporters can give through the restaurant's website and designate which organization receives the meals. The kitchen still offers curbside takeout nightly from 5 to 8 p.m., and Consarino says he needs about $2,000 to make the first donated delivery. Contributions convert directly into meals — a $20 donation buys one meal (covering food, wages, and delivery) and a $5,000 donation feeds 500 — and medical professionals can also request meals. Consarino, who has been in the community for 20 years, says the effort is intended to help employees and serve the town during the coronavirus pandemic." - Susan Stapleton

"Inspired by the southwestern coastal town of Amalfi, Italy, the upcoming Limoncello Fresh Italian Kitchen will launch on November 20 and operate nightly from 4 to 10 p.m. Occupying a generous 8,176-square-foot space at 8245 W. Sahara Avenue near Cimarron Road, the landlocked restaurant cryptically promises that “every seat will highlight an ocean view.” Although a full menu has yet to be shared, diners are promised fresh seafood hand-picked by customers, specialty dishes, and oven-fired pizza. Named for the famed limoncello liqueur of the Amalfi region, the building was bought late last year by Well Done LLC, and Giuseppe Consarino — currently general manager of Il Fornaio at New York-New York — is listed as a manager of the new company." - Bradley Martin
