Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants in New York City | Eater NY

"Here’s a hotel restaurant that’s actually worth your while: housed in the Arlo SoHo, the seasonal menu includes vibrant salads, flavorful, not-too-heavy pastas, and refreshing cocktails like the lavender lemon spritz and basil cucumber gimlet. The spacious open-air patio matches the light fare, and as temperatures heat up, come here during brunch for live tunes." - Shivani Vora

17 Soul-Warming Southern Restaurants in NYC

"Harold’s, which takes up a bright space on the ground floor of the Arlo Hotel, turns out refined versions of simple Southern fare in twee dishware. In the traditional fashion, chef Harold Moore offers proteins alongside generously sized side dishes. The foie gras-stuffed beer can chicken and mashed potatoes are highlights." - Paul Schrodt

Harold’s - Review - Soho - New York - The Infatuation

"Harold’s used to be a place called Harold’s Meat + Three - but they dropped the meat-and-three thing, and now they have a slightly different concept. These days, this spot at the bottom of the Arlo Hotel serves a few different pastas and salads, some small plates, and a bunch of different entrees ranging from salmon to fried chicken. Just about everything seems like it’s a little more expensive than it should be, but the food is solid, and they make a pretty good fried chicken sandwich. That said, unless you have some family in town and you need an inoffensive place where you can get a table last-minute, there isn’t really a compelling reason to choose this over other spots nearby." - Bryan Kim

Harold’s Meat + Three in Arlo Hotel Turns Into Just Harold’s on Monday - Eater NY

"Chef Harold Moore is transforming Harold’s Meat + Three into Harold’s, a venue that will offer healthier American food. The restaurant will drop its previous Southern-style format and introduce a menu focused on lighter fare, including soups, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, pasta, and protein-forward entrees. The changes aim to cater to the preferences of local diners, especially those seeking healthier options. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will feature various dishes aligned with contemporary tastes, including some retained Southern favorites. The venue will also have an all-American wine menu and a seasonal cocktail menu." - Carla Vianna

We normally do not frequent hotel restaurants as the menu is either limited or not of top quality. This is NOT the case for Lindens. A must go for atmosphere, service, and quality. Whether a date, a business meeting or a large group fun-time out, this place is recommended. It’s not on a main street and out of the way from other business….hidden on a side street.

Google
A pretty good experience, I would say borderline 5 stars to me given the price. The fig punch cocktail was amazing all the way from the way it was served to the flavours. Orange marmalade sangria was not as much to my taste unfortunately and the flavour was not as rich as I expected. The cheeseburger was very solid. It was perfectly balanced and they added some spicy elements to it too - definitely a very good one. The French fries were good although a bit salty to me. The truffle aioli was great. The portion size was super large! Overall the food was good but it had pretty straightforward taste. So definitely this place serves good basic food but I personally did not find anything special. The staff members were really welcoming and polite.

Went in for breakfast and it was fantastic. Named after the Linden trees that line New York’s streets, this modern American restaurant is ‘nice’.. not cheap but worth it given quality of ingredients Got the three egg omelet but scrambled. Came with goat cheese, caramelized onion, parsley.. and it was AMAZING. The best part? The house made slightly spicy lamb andouille sausage. WOW. Fresh squeezed orange juice was tasty. But tiny!

Google
Really nice place! Just quite loud on the inside. The prices are fair and the food is good. We had peaches and broccoli for entree, cheeseburger and chicken for main dishes. We didn’t have dessert as we didn’t see anything special.

A Hidden Gem with Burgers Worth Writing Home About Tucked away in the heart of the city, Linden’s American Restaurant isn’t just another spot trying to slap “gourmet” on its menu — it means it. From the moment you walk in, there’s a cozy yet confident vibe that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. But let’s cut to the chase: the food is where Linden’s really shows off. First up: the burger. This isn’t your average patty-on-a-bun situation. We’re talking perfectly seared, juicy beef that’s seasoned like someone in the kitchen really cares. The bun is soft but holds its own, and every topping — from the melty cheese to the tangy house-made sauce — adds something real to the bite. It’s the kind of burger that demands your full attention. And yes, you will find yourself thinking about it later. Now, let’s talk fries. These golden beauties come out hot, crisp, and salted just right — none of that soggy, over-seasoned nonsense. They’re the kind of fries that dare you not to finish the whole plate before your main even hits the table. And then there’s the steak — tender, flavorful, and cooked to that perfect balance where it practically melts in your mouth. It’s clear Linden’s isn’t cutting corners; everything from the quality of the cut to the way it’s plated shows care and craft. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or showing a friend your new favorite spot, Linden’s hits that sweet spot between comfort and class. Go for the burger, stay for the steak, and don’t even try to skip the fries — trust me.

As heads up, the online dinner menu is showing outdated prices. ie. the oyster mushroom was 14$ online and 20$ at the restaurant. Aside of that, we had a great dinner, really enjoyed the house rolls, striped bass and warm plate of cookies. Jasmine was a fun and friendly server, went above and beyond, didn't rush us and was kind enough to provide two cups for the floral fig cocktail/give us good recommendations for dessert. I also recommend the cauliflower plate if vegetarian, it was crafted well, fun crispy textures from the quinoa and good use of herbs and spices for flavor. It was a memorable restaurant and would love to come visit again.

Google
Decent restaurant in the neighborhood for some New American cuisine. Thought the oyster mushrooms were good, and the spicy sausage pizza and branzino to be above average and interesting dishes. Drinks here were unique and tasty.

Google
Cool outdoor seating, good food and cheerful service. Though my steak contained gristle, my glass of wine didn't arrive with the meal - i had to get up, find, and corner the waitstaff. The green onions were too tough to cut with a steak knife and splitting the bill was more problematic than it should have been. Downgrading the service because they charged the whole dinner to one xard, despite us all signing bills for individual amounts, skdting it out after the visit is painful. UPDATE 1: The restaurant ignored the phone calls from the 1 member of our party tgat was charged the whole bill. Atrocious service. They should be ashamed of themselves. UPDATE 2: On July 26th I wrote to Gary with details of event and name of customer they'd overcharged without permission on July 26th. He hasn't replied yet. I'm not holding my breath!!!!

Yelp
Linden's was one of the dinner stops during my best friend's bachelorette weekend. The service was absolutely fantastic. The manager kindly brought over complimentary champagne for the table once he realized we were a bridal party. He also helped us take our Instagram pictures later in the evening. The rest of the staff was just as lovely and attentive. The food was all delicious. We ordered shoestring fries, hummus and a salad for the table. I'm not particularly a fry person but these were some of the best fries I've had. For the entrée, I ordered the spicy sausage pizza. It was bigger than I expected, which is a great problem to have. For my cocktail, I had an espresso martini. It was one of the better ones that I've had, especially given how easy it is to make a bad espresso martini. For dessert, we shared the chocolate chip cookies. One of the girls in my group has a gluten allergy and the staff was very mindful. Overall, it was a great dining experience (albeit a little pricey) and I'd love to come back.

Yelp
Attached to the lovely Art SoHo Rooftop/Hotel. Gorgeous restaurant with an amazing fragrance traveling from the hotel. The giardiniera was so salty and vinegary I couldn't eat it! I don't think you should add salt to vinegar-pickled veggies. Soo disappointed as I love vegetables and hummus but this missed the mark by far. However, Service was absolutely wonderful...memorable. The food was as delicious as it sounded on the menu & looked in photos. The steak was thicker than pictures and was perfectly cooked. Mine was medium temperature and it was truly worth ordering. My Yelpie friend reminded me about checking in and we were able to get the Parker Thyme rolls free with check in - the butter had a light lemon zest and the warm rolls were perfect with it. The skinny fries were served with an herb garlic mayo I believe vs ketchup and 'perfect' is what they were. THESE are fries. A restaurant worth it all. Go, enjoy!!!

Yelp
I needed to book Sunday brunch for a large group of 9, including 2 small children and 1 dog, 2 weeks out. During my search, I came across many restaurants with street side outdoor seating, which I am not a fan of, but would take it if there were no other options. Then, I stumbled upon Linden's. Linden's is part of the Arlo Hotel and offers indoor and outdoor dining. Their outdoor dining space is a gorgeous and ENCLOSED courtyard with an urban chic feel to it. It was perfect for our group. I couldn't believe OpenTable had the availability for my large group. It was too good to be true. I locked down the reservation immediately. Then, I reached out to Linden's via email and Instagram to confirm my booking. They were super responsive. Within the hour, Alison responded back to me through email and Instagram confirming they would be able to accommodate my group. I was ecstatic. On the day of the brunch, more than half of us were running 30 minutes to an hour late. I called Linden's to let them know, and they were so cool about it. Finally, when everybody arrived, we ordered our foods with our server, who was incredibly nice and accommodating. Despite the small brunch menu, the food was delicious. My polenta & mushroom dish was so good, I would totally get it again. Everybody else either had the 3-egg omelet or one of the breakfast sandwiches. I did not try the breakfast sandwiches but had some omelet. GET THE POLENTA & MUSHROOM. Sunny side up egg on top of a creamy polenta, with roasted mushrooms that were just exquisite. The whole dish was perfection. Our table also had 3 orders of the mixed berry salad. It seemed like it was a popular item, and I totally get why. The berries were fresh. The blackberries were plump and juicy, and every single one was surprisingly unbruised. I did not see a drinks menu, but Linden's has a full bar, so feel free to order any drink you want. My husband had an espresso martini, which he enjoyed. With the enclosed courtyard, the 2 restless small children were able to walk around, never leaving our sight, while the grown-ups chatted. Our group had a lovely brunch that lasted over 2 hours. We took our time, and no one rushed us. Linden's, you were absolutely wonderful to us. I would be back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Lindens is a great spacious easy choice for a big group dinner. There were no issues with making the reservation for a Friday evening. The service was attentive and very friendly. The cocktail menu was diverse. We went a little over board with ordering apps but we liked what we tried! The Parker house rolls, and French fries really hit the spot. Crispy fennel pita, margherita pizza, and green salad were good but nothing amazing. Nothing really mind blowing but very good spot for a nice and easy dinner and drinks.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of restaurants in hotels because they seem to exist at the convenience of hotel guests and less so for their expertise. We decided to take a chance as it was fairly seamless to walk in and get a table, let alone an indoor shaded seat in a quiet environment for conversations. We ordered: Green Salad Heirloom Carrot Ravioli Dragon Fruit Tonic Cantaloupe & Sage Spritz The server and service was exceptionally chipper and prompt with them thoughtfully asking if we'd like our dishes to arrive at the same time or after the other. Even when the initial server had to end their shift, they handed us off to the proper server for any questions or requests, which maybe to some could feel trivial, but personally felt like a breath of fresh air. I appreciated that the pancetta garnish on the ravioli could be removed and the salad was quite unique even though the listed ingredients sounded very basic. The most memorable aspect of our time were their zero proof cocktail options and the happy medium between sweetness and tart flavors. Lindens proved to be a well made decision amidst the outside looking very lowkey, but the rooftop bar and memorabilia esque board across the elevators felt like memorable intent for one to come back for!

Yelp
This is a cute restaurant located inside a hotel in Soho. They have a lot of patio seating in a courtyard that gets really sunny in the afternoon, so it's a great place to hangout and enjoy a meal. We tried a variety of things, including the bread and butter, as well as the asparagus dish. They were both really great and flavorful. I got the lamb tortellini for around $30. They were packed with lamb and the portion size was not bad. It came with an egg yolk on top that helped add creaminess to the dish. Overall, this is a cute place to grab lunch. It's on the pricey side, but that's also reflected in the atmosphere and service. The food was great--healthy and high quality.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED Lindens! I've heard a few people speak very highly of it and now I completely understand why. The restaurant is impeccably decorated and extremely invited. We were seated quickly and the service was extremely friendly. We weren't rushed, but they also didn't take too long with the food. I tried the egg white omelette which sounds boring, but it was incredibly flavorful. It's very clear that they source quality ingredients and it was both savory and filling. I also tried their shoestring fries which were seasoned to perfection. The person I was with also said that the green salad was in the top 5 they've ever had in their entire life, which makes me want to return soon! I'm looking forward to trying more of their menu, especially at different times during the day!

Yelp
This restaurant is attached to the Arlo Soho Hotel where I was staying. I only had breakfast there one morning and it was very tasty. The restaurant also serves dinner, any maybe lunch, and has a happy hour at their bar. I had the ACAI BOWL: coconut, almonds, banana, figs, thomcord grape. This was delicious. It was a large portion, had lots of yummy toppings and lots of acai. Overall a really nice breakfast. They did only sell soda in small glass bottles but otherwise a nice breakfast.

Yelp
A gem in lower Manhattan/SoHo. Our server, José, was amazing and kept surprising us with things like anniversary champagne and a beautiful cherry dessert! We had the burger, half chicken, Giardiniera, and a "side" of shoestring fries. All very delicious! The portion of fries we got was monstrous. José and the kitchen were super attentive kept our drinks full and table clean, and executed nearly flawlessly. It was impossible not to leave a big tip to show my appreciation for the care, the level of food quality, and for making it a special night. Thank you!

Yelp
Holy freaking cow this place is amazing. The Honeynut Squash Ravioli and Yukon Potato Gnocchi were delectable mains. But they were well introduced by the Brie and Fig and Thyme Parker House Rolls. Rarely does an establishment make drinks as well as this food, but here they nail it. Both drinks were exceptional, mouthwatering, and amazingly well balanced. I had the Lavender Daisy and the Butternut Squash Sangaree and they were shockingly refreshing. The service was energetic and attentive. The inside is bright and relaxed and immediately puts you at ease. I love this place.

Yelp
Such a lovely place! Came here with a few girlfriends for lunch. I ordered this pasta which was delicious and filling. Their fries and pancake were good as well. Service was amazing. Lastly and mostly why I am giving this place a 5 star is because they allow dogs! All the dogs there were pleasant and calm. It was really nice experience to have a meal indoors with my dog by my side.

Yelp
Came a second time for brunch and enjoyed myself. Comfortable seating indoors, polite staff, and yummy food. They don't rush you at all and there's a cute area near the bathroom perfect for photo ops albeit it's also a high foot traffic spot haha.

Yelp
Great food, great location. Not very crowded, nice low key hotel restaurant. Good service. We had the chef's menu. The hummus and gardenia starter was very good. I had the cauliflower lain and loved it; my friend who has the skirt steak said it was very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was okay. The parker roll was good I would definitely order that again. I got the carrot ravioli which was very mint forward. Overall it was good but not mind blowing. The service was good and the workers were really nice. It's a chic little place next to the hotel, The whole time I ate the ravioli I kept thinking about how I should have gotten the cheeseburger lol The shoestring fries were probably the highlight of this meal! Don't skip on that oe the parker roll those were a must.
google avatar

Yelp
Very friendly service and food tasted great! We came here for restaurant week so we got starters/apps/entrees/dessert - and they were all so good! The outside area was also so cute with a bunch of string lights and candles setting the mood :) Don't skip out on the starters, the Thyme Parker and Giardinera were some of my favorite dishes!

Yelp
RATING 7.3/10 PRO TIP: Check in on yelp and get the Thyme Parker House rolls for free! This place does something quite well - a farm to table aspect that ensures you'll get fresh ingredients. More than a few vegan options. PARKER HOUSE ROLLS Good, not great. The acorn squash was on the sweeter side, which I wasn't expecting - but the bread itself was soft inside but the exterior didn't easily lend itself to being bitten, and just a touch tough. APPLE SHISO SODA Loved this, but you know I love a fancy drink. Non-alcoholic too! The shiso adds a nice heartiness to the soda. It's sweet but not saccharine. CHEESEBURGER People online have been raving about this cheeseburger. You can def taste the freshness and the bun is super soft. Double patty with cheese in the middle is just the way to go. But, it wasn't soooo amazing that I would put it on my top 5 burgers of NYC list. It's good, maybe even great! But I don't see myself needing to return just for this burger. FINAL RANKING: GOOD (terrible / bad / ok / GOOD / great / excellent)

Yelp
I was straying at the Arlo and ended up having both breakfast and lunch here. Lunch was excellent. I had a glass of Sangiovese and the gnocchi. The gnocchi was beautiful and came with giant pillows that melted in your mouth. I savored every bite! I topped the meal off with the peach crème brûlée which was also delicious. Breakfast the following day left a lot to be desired. I ordered a latte, pancakes and a side of bacon. The pancakes were very dense and thicker than the width of a knife. It did not taste very good and I wasn't able to finish it. I don't think the pancakes were a good representation of the quality at Lindens. I enjoyed my experience and lunch was quite memorable. The interior was clean and the service was excellent. I wish I could remember my waiter's name because he was amazing.
google avatar

Yelp
We had breakfast here last week, before spending the day in SoHo & Tribeca. Service was attentive, and our food was prepared relatively quickly. My daughter chose a breakfast sandwich and a latte, and she was happy with both. I had some toast & bacon, with a soda, and it was good as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service! Right when you walk you're greeted by a host. The host was very nice and friendly. He really tried to make sure we were seated to our table properly. One thing that stood out was that both the host and our waiter talked about the menu and even added comments about their favorite dishes. The food felt very fresh and healthy, though on the smaller side. It was good place to eat at and seemed to also have a lot of vegetarian options. The bees knees tasted like juicy, so I loved and was surprised by that! We sat outside because it was beautiful, but after 30 minutes it started getting very hot. Definitely our fault as they gave us options to sit indoors or outdoors.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were in NYC last weekend and had an amazing time at Lindens! We happened to have been staying in the hotel, which was awesome as well. We decided to go downstairs just because and lucked out to stumble upon happy hour. Coming from the Bay Area, we must say it was such a good deal for a happy hour! We sat at the bar and met Diego From Brooklyn-he was so personable, helpful with recommendations, and an incredible Bartender! The drinks were delicious, the conversation was great, and so real, and the food was amazing as well. We had some great food and drinks during our stay in New York, but this place really took the cake for an all-around great experience!
google avatar

Elayne W.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and sat in the nice outdoor space. There are individual table umbrellas for shade but the area is uncovered. For drinks, I ordered the chrysanthemum spritz ($18) which was light and refreshing. For food, we ordered the thyme Parker house rolls to share, polenta and mushrooms for my entree and a side of bacon. The Parker house rolls were to die for - perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside with an herbed butter. The polenta and mushrooms was also a large size - I was pleasantly surprised with how flavorful the mushrooms and jus' was. I was a bit disappointed in the bacon though because it wasn't very crispy but that's personal preference. There was some awkwardness when getting seated outside with a bus boy since we wanted to switch to a table with shade but our waitress was very accommodating and attentive with our water refills. This place can be a bit on the expensive side since sides are ordered separately, but at least you will leave here full.

Yelp
My top choice in SoHo! Lindens was very mouthwatering that I crave to go back again! We came for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. Very relaxing vibe and got sat quickly. A mix of business and tourist seated in the restaurant. I scanned the menu and kept it simple. We shared the cut thin fries that was addicting from fresh garlic and Parmesan intertwined. Their cheeseburger was flavorful and juicy. Wish I can try the breakfast and dinner, till next time.
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Impossible burger is better than nearly every other hamburger I've tasted. I will return.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
You could tell the service is still figuring it out, but the food was good and the atmosphere is amazing! The outdoor patio area would be great for a baby shower or bridal shower. In the Arlo hotel. The cheeseburger was very delicious. French fries and pulled roll were so so good. I wanted to order more. The mushrooms were fine... but can pass. Final thought: would come again bc of the vibes but not worth going back just for food.

Yelp
We had an exceptional dinner at Linden's on a Saturday night. The space is beautiful. Very clean and modern without it being cold. We chose to sit outside because it wasn't too cold. The outdoor area is very nice. Cocktails were really good. I had the homemade strawberry soda with bourbon. Hubby had a carrot and ginger mule and really enjoyed it. He also had the rosemary spiced margarita and it was very strong. Of course we had the Parker house rolls. They were served with ramp butter. They were amazing. Crusty on the outside and so soft and fluffy inside. For our entrees we both had the same thing which is rare for us. We had the heirloom carrot ravioli with pancetta and brown butter. It was delicious. The sauce was incredible and the pasta was clearly made in house. For dessert we had the strawberry rhubarb and the chocolate chip cookies. I only had the cookies because I am not a fan of rhubarb. The cookies were freshly baked which was nice. However, I only had one because I was so full. They were good the next morning. The service was friendly but I felt bad because our server was working both indoor and outdoor sections and although the restaurant wasn't full, there were two parties of 15 or more. We had to wait a long time for our check but honestly, that didn't ruin our experience. I will also add that this DID NOT seem like a hotel restaurant. It was way too good.
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
The vibe of this place was great. Had reservations for 5:30 and sat upon arrival. The staff weas attentive and friendly and the food, delicious! Only downside is my stomach couldn't fit more! lol Gabby was our primary waitstaff but everyone kept an eye on the refil of beverages and removing empty plates. I had the Hanger steak, cooked perfectly and the cookies and creme Brule were my favorite items. Would love to come back and sit at the bar as the vibe there looked a bit more lively than our table eating.
google avatar

Florence V.

Yelp
Good food but non existent service. Took forever to be seated there was no staff in sight. No check in during meals and everything took long for no reason, it wasn't packed maybe like 2 other tables. Food came out at a reasonable time but it was the waiter not being visibility there to take our order and not being there for a while/flagging him down for the bill. The meal took longer than expected.
google avatar

Kelsy E.

Yelp
Bright and cheerful atmosphere with an upscale feel. Lindens offers seasonal assortments and I ate here while staying at the Arlo - so glad I stumbled upon this. Wonderful service from the time you are sat until you pay. Staff treats you like you're a VIP. Ordered a tasty tempura spread of veggies and yogurt sauce. The sauce is what made the dish so delish. I wanted added protein so I ordered chicken on the side that was juicy and fresh. Not pictured was a nice cappuccino. Really wonderful experience!
google avatar

Brianna B.

Yelp
Renwick hospitality and the Arlo hotels do it again! Wonderful, seasonal fare and cozy vibes at Lindens. The menu changes often which is both good and also frustrating as someone who wants to try it all! The one thing that remains consistent (and a must order!) are the Thyme Parker House Rolls-don't forget to check in on Yelp for a free order! These are crack. I also really enjoyed their seasonal vegetable tempura and the baked figs and Brie. They seem to always have some sort of gnocchi on the menu-the Yukon potato gnocchi with parsnips and mushroom au jus it was decent. I really enjoyed the texture of the gnocchi but I really feel like the sauce needed more flavor and heaviness as it was not absorbed well by the fluffy pasta. To drink, the Bees Knees is solid. Now, those fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, as simple as they seem are *chef's kiss.* Great friendly service here as well. Good job, Lindens!

Yelp
A classic place to celebrate! We came to celebrate my fiancés birthday and the ravioli hit the spot, like always! The Parker rolls were soft and fluffy. We tried the fries for the first time and they were incredibly well seasoned. We also requested a booth (that they couldn't accommodate), but one became available right before we ordered, and they moved up. Speaks volumes of their service.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my dinner at Linden's! I randomly found this place on Instagram and knew I had to try it. Upon arriving, the place was extremely clean with an incredible atmosphere and the staff were very professional and friendly. We knew we needed to start with the Thyme Parker House Rolls because they looked to die for and they did not disappoint! We also tried an appetizer that consisted of peaches and burrata and it was quite delicious as well. For mains I ordered the honeynut squash ravioli with pancetta and sage brown butter sauce. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted, super rich flavors and it was quite delicious. My dad ordered the margerita pizza and really enjoyed it. My brother ordered the pasta pomodoro and it was simple but made perfectly. Their menu stays pretty much the same but changes seasonally with some dishes and appetizers. You can tell the ingredients are in season and fresh. I definitely recommend Linden's for any occasion, whether it be a casual date night or celebration, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
This restaurant was way more beautiful than I expected! Ambiance was lovely. The food was very flavorful. I highly recommend the margarita pizza something about it very unique. Drinks are good. They have a large selection. Service was great. I celebrated a birthday and they gave us complimentary dessert along with what we ordered.

Yelp
Cozy brunch spot Came here for some Sunday branch with friends. Situated in a fancy hotel, this place is def kicked up. It is very spacious and not too busy. We were seated right away. They have a diverse brunch menu with both breakfast and lunch offerings. We went for the avo toast and the clam pizza with mixed berry salad on the side. Avo toast was perfectly cooked with lots of fresh avocado topped with two sunny side eggs. Pizza was crispy with light crust and just right amount of clam pieces throughout. Berry salad was a surprise hit with a generous heap of berries. Service was very attentive and the place just had a soothing atmosphere. Surprised this place isn't more popular will def come back.

S W.

Yelp
I'm having difficulty reconciling the stellar reviews with my experience here. I thought it was OK, but not great. I ordered the mixed green salad with a side order of salmon. I would guess the portion of salmon was about 4oz. They should just increase prices and at least give you what would amount to a full meal. The salmon was also a bit overcooked, and the salad had too much lemon juice.

Yelp
My friend and I have a running list of gluten-free (or gluten-free friendly) restaurants and decided to pop into Lindens for brunch since they offer gluten-free bread, pizza, and pasta! We ordered the: - Buttermilk pancakes (5/5) with a side of 3 eggs and bacon: The pancakes were fluffy and came with berry compote and butternut mascarpone on top - this was exactly what I was craving and it hit the spot. Portions are definitely on the larger side (I couldn't eat more than half of it...). - 3 egg white omelet with goat cheese (5/5): Simple yet flavorful - my friend ordered this and she loved it! - Thyme parker house rolls (4/5): If you check in on Yelp, you get these for free!! They come hot and with a side of acorn squash butter. - Shoestring french fries (5/5): Crispy fries dusted with some salt and herb mix. Comes with a side of truffle aioli - yum! To drink, we got: - Lavender daisy (4/5): Tasty take on a pisco sour that's not too heavy on the lavender. - Honeycrisp apple high ball (5/5): I got this with amaro nonino and it was so good!! Tasted like a sophisticated apple juice/cider. Great place if you happen to be in the area!

Yelp
Surprisingly excellent burger in a tucked away restaurant in the Arlo. Probably one of the better burgers, if not top 5 for me in the city.

Yelp
Dear husband made a reservation for the wrong restaurant for Thanksgiving. Not really sure how this happened, but due to family logistics, we unfortunately couldn't eat there in person. Our meal was prepaid with our reservation, so we arrived to pick up the food, but headed home. The staff was beyond accommodating, and I'd be over the moon to come back to eat in person. While we had waited to for the staff to pack up our feast, we were offered to sit at the bar with some waters. We've observed that coat check is available, the workers seem genuinely upbeat and attentive, and the atmosphere is quaint and homely. Due to the location being very close to the Holland Tunnel, traffic gets pretty backed up in the area, so it took very long for our Uber to arrive. We were nonetheless able to arrive home safely with our Thanksgiving feast and able to dig in while the food was decently warm. Immediately noticed that we order 2 peoples worth of food, which included about 16 sets of plastic cutlery (awesome, we'll just store these for later). The Thyme Parker House Rolls were perfection, and I've been recipe testing to recreate these ever since. I'd absolutely go back just for this. Unfortunately, the compound butter was not included in our to go order. The Thanksgiving menu was $85/head and had a tremendous amount of food, although the turkey portion was a bit small. We both were obsessed with their house giardiniera, and I was dipping the endives into the hummus endlessly (so smooth, so creamy, not at all heavy). I went crazy over the kabocha squash, and my husband was all about the mashed potatoes). Though I am a huge stuffing eater, I didn't enjoy the sweet potato stuffing as it focused heavily on the sweet potatoes. I also don't typically enjoy pumpkin pie, but their pumpkin pie and house-made whip was to die for (not too sweet, warm cinnamon-y, and buttery flakey crust). I'd definitely be back to enjoy their regular menu with a cocktail next time!

Yelp
We came here for NYC Restaurant Week, wow did we have such a great experience! For Restaurant Week you order from a prefix menu. Included was the Thyme Parker House Rolls for the table, an app, entree and dessert. You have added on a a cocktail matching to the meal but it was kind of pricy so we just ordered one cocktail each instead. To start with the rolls were amazing, whoever makes them should hold a class for all restaurants to teach them to make these. If we came here on a normal dinner, we probably wouldn't have ordered them because they are $8 but they would be so worth the price tag. For an app, I went with the gnocchi, absolutely delicious! They came in this mushroom jus that was so flavorful, so much umami! For my main I picked out the Stripped Bass. It came with scallops, which I love!, and a celery root purée. Kind of the perfect meal. The desert we got was these doughnuts. We weren't even hungry at this point but we ate every single bite. Shout out to the people who work here, they were so knowledgeable about the menu and so personable. They just made our already good meal perfect. We loved getting to speak to them and the manager, they must have also liked us seeing as we got a free house made limoncello. Just the cherry on top

Yelp
Sea bass was fantastic. Everyone at my table loved what they had. A little loud/noisy but great food and experience overall.

Yelp
We had a party of 10 that met for lunch. The ambiance was clean, full of light, and airy, with sleek teak wooden chairs and simple yet classy table settings. Everyone raved about the cocktails. Service was very attentive. I had the burger, some fries, and a taste of my friends squash ravioli. All delicious. Their version of Parker house rolls was seasoned well and chewy and tasty. I am glad we stumbled on this place, as we all had a great time, and the staff definitely played a part in that.

Yelp
After spending days of researching venues for a friend's 30th birthday, we found this gem of a place and I can't recommend it enough for an amazing group dining experience. We were a party of 13 and they were able to seat us in the corner of the restaurant. A few reasons why I really appreciate Lindens include: - The restaurant was very communicative over email throughout the whole planning process - Service was super attentive and on point throughout the whole dinner - The food was absolutely amazing! Fan favorites included the fries w/ aioli sauce, the hanger steak, & the bread rolls. The stripped bass was a little bit on the saltier side but I thought the scallops were delicious! - +1 brownie point for not charging a ridiculous cake plating fee that other restaurants do impose. - There is a cute roof-top bar upstairs that you can migrate over to at the end of the dinner. - I personally did not have a cocktail but the rest of the group did stress how tasty it was! - Ambiance and aesthetic of the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. The birthday girl commented not once but TWICE on how cute the interior decor was. Overall, would love to host future events at Lindens - and want to possibly try the brunch. We had such a great time and we're super grateful to have stumbled upon Lindens!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and were seated on the "wrong side". Apparently you cannot order happy hour on one side of the restaurant, which seemed kind of strange to us. But we were able to be moved when we told them we were interested in happy hour, hence five stars despite the strange restaurant rule. Oysters were fresh and yummy, the burgers were great although not that big, and the drinks were good too. Our bartender was friendly and a great conversationalist. Overall, we had a good time here and would come again.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance in Lindens! It's a new modern restaurant within Arlo Soho Hotel. Came here on a Saturday night and I was surprised it wasn't as packed. But overall, the food and service were amazing. They even gave us complimentary mixed drink shots. Not sure what it was mixed of but it was still a nice gesture! Also if you check in on yelp, you get a complimentary tyme parker house roll. Things I ordered: - THYME PARKER HOUSE ROLLS v grilled ramp butter (check in on yelp and get it for free) - TUNA TATAKI avocado, ponzu, sansho pepper, puffed farro - HAMACHI CEVICHE gf jalapeno, cilantro, paprika, smoked salt - SHOESTRING FRENCH FRIES v, gf seasoning salt, herb mix, truffle aioli - STRIPED BASS gf grilled fennel, port wine, diver scallop, celery root - HANGER STEAK gf spring onion, chimichurri, fried shallots - SPRING CARROT RAVIOLI pancetta, brown butter, 5-year aged banyuls vinegar (really good!!!) - CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES v baked fresh to order

Yelp
Came for happy hour and they were accommodating when the bar had no seats left. The spiced rosemary margarita was very smoky and flavorful. The service was very good. They were attentive in making sure our glasses were full and came back to check in regarding more drinks. The ambiance is cute as well! Nice and intimate spot. They had a little patio area in the back where a private party was hosted.

Yelp
We decided to celebrate our city hall wedding with family and Lindens was perfect! They had a great pre fixe lunch menu. The settting is very calm with the plant wall and mid century decor. It was too hot for us to be outside , but if you can do it, the outdoor space is lovely. The food was 10/10. Highly recommend. All of our guests enjoyed it!

Amazing service from Dian. Made my night by celebrating my birthday without me knowing. He reached out to my friends and got the info and sang to me! 100% will come here again because of Dian! He gave great recommendations for food and drink- first time coming here too! Thank you Dian and Lindens for a great birthday night!
