L'Institut Restaurant

The food and service is excellent! The waiters are really nice. It's a little restless here because many waiters are walking arround or talking but that's also expected.

We had a wonderful experience! Fantastic service, great food and good wine. Luckily we were seated near the kitchen, where we could see the young chefs busily preparing our fantastic meal.

Impeccably prepared food with informative, well-trained staff that offer high level hospitality to guests. All the food was executed perfectly and offered surprises along the way.

A place to experience the works of a famed French chef at a bargain. The service and food are exceptional for the price. Personally I’d order the fish over the beef. The balance is far better.

The location of the restaurant was impressive and we were seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere seemed quite chaotic and not at all what we expected. I was seated where the staff was rushing by and my chair was struck quite a few times. Finally one server suggested we move the table which was appreciated. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Talked to the Manager to find out that they were short staffed due to the transitioning of students to other areas. Sorry for the low rating but service is such an important part of the dining experience.

The experience was fantastic. The servers were so professional and helpful serving and explaining the meal items. Also the appetizers and dinners were great. The desserts seem to have too many different items in them so they weren't as good as I thought they would be. Wine and food were really enjoyed.

We very much appreciated the allergen menu provided to us, which was helpful in our selection. The chestnut starter I had was absolutely amazing.

Definitely not overhyped—L’Institut was even better than we imagined. Honestly impeccable food from start to finish. The mushroom starter was a standout dish for me and the complementary dessert was a nice touch. Service was very good with staff taking our coats at the door and making jokes along the way. They clearly explained every dish and it was obvious they were trained well. The price point was very reasonable for such an excellent dining experience and great value for central Lyon.
