The Girls’ Night Out Guide

"If it’s looking like your night will end with six hours of dancing, you might as well start with dinner at List. This spot is an LED light show and wooden dance floor away from actually being a nightclub - the light bulbs are red, it’s so dark you almost can’t see, and there’s a good chance your flirty friend will exchange a phone number at the bar before the check hits the table. The kind-of-Italian food is surprisingly pretty good, too - get the ricotta gnocchi with truffle cream." - aimee rizzo

"Must List “Seattle’s best happy hour” is not a title to be bestowed lightly, but List has more than its share of devotees. And with good reason: their happy hour features half off the food menu, plus discounted beer and wine. List serves Italian food with a focus on seafood, and it’s an excellent value at happy hour. We loved the gnocchi with black truffle cream, spicy meatballs, and cannelloni with spinach and ricotta. Unsurprisingly, List fills up quickly on the weekends, but if you stop by early, you can settle in, admire the modern decor and striking red chandeliers, and watch the plates pile up with delicious deals. Their happy hour is all day Sunday and Monday, and 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday (with a late happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 9 to midnight)."

Southern flavors blend with Asian and Ethiopian influences in creative dishes such as fried oyster mushroom po’ mi (a banh mi-po boy hybrid), smoky berbere chicken, and fried catfish sushi. Google
This place is so underrated. We basically ordered everything on the menu to share. The plates are small we ordered over 10 dishes for 5 people and shared everything. They bring the dishes as they get ready so the sharing dishes is the best way to go. The gnocchi and spicy meatballs were the best in my opinion. Our group really enjoyed all the dishes the only dish I would not recommend was the pear and goat cheese salad since it was nothing special. The drinks are strong and tasty, so get a cocktail. They also do happy hour even on Saturdays! Would go back for sure!

Google
I got the pear and goat cheese salad, the meatballs and the chicken with marsala sauce. The chicken didn’t have much flavor to it aside from the black pepper even with the mushroom gravy. The salad has a basic oil with salt and pepper dressing. The meatballs were amazing and flavorful. I then ordered the steak with potatoes medium rare, the steak had a char outside with little flavor to the steak and was not medium rare. The bottle of montepulciano d'abruzzo was tasty. My server was so nice and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy with the red touches at the bar and small tables.

Google
All day happy hour on Sunday and Monday. We tried the gnocchi which was so pillowy and not much truffle flavor. The $24 bottle of Rose was great. The tables are very close together and have a lot of couples on date night. With the entire food menu half off , it was an amazing Seattle dining experience on Monday and I felt so fancy!

Google
Came here on a Monday night with my mom while visiting Seattle and had a pleasant dining experience. Apparently, both Sunday and Monday all day are happy hour, and so the food items were half off. They are small plates that are good for sharing, so I recommend coming with another person and ordering a variety. We ordered four items that felt like just the right amount for two people to split: the Caesar salad, gnocchi, clams and the steak paired with a cocktail (which are on the stronger side) - all were delicious! They only had one dessert, a hazelnut ice cream with a warm chocolate cake, and it was amazing! The restaurant is quite small and dark, so I'm not sure about coming with a large group, but I definitely recommend it for a night out for two!

Google
Went inside when it first opened and the bartender was pretty cool. I will return and I recommend to anyone who’s in downtown Seattle. Went during happy hour which was even better 4-6. The drinks are amazing. Only had one and it warmed me up.

Google
If you going for the happy hour, go early as the place gets packed very fast. Friendly service staff who tries hard to fit everyone in. Food were tasty, looks like they have a legumes and beans theme going on with the dishes while we were there. My only negative about this place is the poor lighting. Most tables are only lighted by a small candle. A number of their customers were using their phone to have a look at the dishes when it arrives.

Google
There was a 30+ minute wait, but we were able to snag a couple seats at the bar. The lighting levels are too low, and I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. The calamari was good. Nothing special. The black truffle gnocchi was AMAZING. So creamy and flavorful. The goat cheese and pear salad was good. I like when goat cheese is fried, and this was not, but it was still good. The baked broccoli was really good. However... The SPICY MEATBALLS were INCREDIBLE! They definitely have some heat, so don't order them if you can't handle about a 4-Star Thai dish. They were also very flavorful. Just overall amazing. My wife is a great cook and just attempted to recreate them at home. She came close, but had to keep the heat out because of our young kids. We'll keep trying. Until then, we'll definitely be back for more! Also got the Kraken Root Beer. Dangerously good!

Google
Tried List Restaurant for their happy hour. Interestingly, they ask for ID when you enter. Happy hour is 50% off everything on the food menu. Beware, tip options start at 20%. - Plum blossom ($10.00 USD) - Grilled octopus salad, citrus emulsion ($10.00 USD) - my favourite dish of the night. Octopus was tender and nicely charred. - Handmade gnocchi, black truffle cream ($10.00 USD) - gnocchi was soft, not too rich with the slightest truffle note. - Seared ahi tuna, lentils, ginger sauce ($10.00 USD) - disappointing. Lentils and spinach were bland. Ahi tuna was overcooked and flavourless. - Local fresh clams, white wine broth, plum tomato puree ($10.00 USD) - decent portion but a couple clams weren't washed properly. Broth lacked depth. Decent but nothing to warrant a return visit.

Yelp
I am building my HH repertoire in the city, and List is definitely one of my top faves! The patio is open during the summer months and is perfect for an afternoon bite. They have a wonderful wine list, but the true star of the show was the gnocchi - SO GOOD!!! The salad was also delicious. I've seen other reviews complaining that it's dark inside, but to me, that's part of the allure of the establishment. I think the lighting is moody and perfect for date night. Will definitely return!

Yelp
Tried the rigatoni and was pleasantly surprised by the tender pasta and cream. Loved the mushrooms in it; I could always go for more mushrooms added. I also ordered an espresso martini, but it was not my favorite. It felt like it didn't have much espresso flavor in it, and instead tasted more like the vanilla vodka. I would opt out of this cocktail, but would try another next time. I do agree that the lighting inside is very dark. It's intimate, but I wish it was ever so slightly more light to be able to see the menu. Service was okay. We were greeted and sat fairly quickly on a Saturday night. Our waiter was just very quiet, so it was difficult to hear them. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other dishes for happy hour.

Yelp
Happy Hour was well priced. The gnocchi was divine. Caesar tasty. Steelhead was yummy, too. The lighting was way too dark. I mentioned to staff but no action. Plus I felt sorry for the server as he seemed a bit down. Fun to get together with friend and enjoy food and drinks. Too dark to take a photo!

Yelp
Date night, here you come! The List has a selection of small plates/ bites and drinks! The List has literally the best happy hour where all the food is 50% on limited hours during the Tuesday - Friday, and all day on Sunday & Monday. The drinks are also on a great discount, which makes a Happy Hour even more happy! We got a bottle of Rose for $25 and ordered 4 dishes: the Columbia River steelhead with spicy cilantro pesto, Natural Washington beef shoulder tenderloin steak, Handmade Gnocchi with black truffle cream (featured on Food Network), and the Seared Ahi Tuna with lentils, ginger sauce. There was not a single bad dish. The steelhead was cooked to melt into your mouth and served with a delicious lentils. The beef shoulder was all over List's Yelp page, so I had to try it. The beef should was cooked to medium rare and served with crispy potatoes, which was nice because the other dishes were served with lentils and farro. If you love pasta, you should try the gnocchi because they are housemade served in a creamy sauce. The seared ahi was good cut of fish that was served with delicious green lentils.

Yelp
Had List on my list for so many years. My husband and I went for happy hour on an early Saturday evening, and the place was packed! We got the last open table of 2 at the time. The restaurant doesn't have many tables, and the ambiance is dark and a bit loud. Out of the dishes we tried, the truffle gnocchi was by far the best! It was difficult to take more pictures of our dishes and drink due to the restaurant's darkness. The service was great - no complaints.

Yelp
Went here for date night on a Sunday evening, which is all day happy hour and half off all bar food! We were able to order a variety of delicious food at half off, which is a great deal, and I would recommend going during happy hour. This is a classy place in Belltown, that cares about the presentation and quality of the food. We started out with a Caesar salad (not pictured), and ordered three dishes to share. The homemade gnocchi was the perfect combination of soft and chewy, and the sauce was rich and creamy. The steelhead fish was one of my favorites, as it was cooked perfectly and was flaky and melt in your mouth. Finally, we ordered the chicken which had a nice tasting sauce, but wasn't my favorite out of the three. It's a great place for a nicer meal/date night, and is in a convenient location if you're exploring downtown or have an event in the area to go to.

Yelp
Do not sleep on this cute intimate unsuspecting restaurant! The chefs did not come to play at all. I came here on a Monday because they do happy hour allll day and baby. I would go back again and again. Cocktails are ten and food is half priced! I got the bacon wrapped prawns and the gnocchi. This review is 5 stars because of the gnocchi and the gnocchi ALONE. Best gnocchi I have ever had in my entire life. Super creamy, fresh, flavorful, solid portion, a little kick to it too. I'm literally going to be dreaming about this gnocchi. Prawns and strawberry marg were average to me to be honest. But that gnocchi?? Spectacular. Our server was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. It's in a popular area too so some street parking and pay for parking as well. The place is very small, intimate, and dark so on busier days definitely get a resy. I would absolutely be back!!!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night for happy hour since that's what got me to find this place and they have some sweet deals. We got their steak, steelhead fish, and their pasta dish ( forgot to take a picture). The steak came out kinda cold which was interesting and I wonder why that was...the sauce was pretty mid and it's not something I would get again. The steelhead was my favorite dish from this meal!! It was cooked perfectly and the grains had a nice texture and flavorful sauce! Definitely get this dish when you come here!! Finally the pasta was pretty good as well!! Nicely cooked and the mushrooms were a nice addition to the dish. Overall I think you should only come here for happy hour and it's not worth coming during other hours

Yelp
My partner and I had a phenomenal experience dining here during late night happy hour. When we arrived, it was quite busy. We waited for about 5 minutes for a table. Not bad. We got the gnocchi and the octopus salad. They also gave us complimentary focaccia. The food was delicious! I couldn't believe it was half off. We also loved the espresso martini. The real aspect that will keep us coming back was the service. Shout out to the bartender and waiter who closed on 5/18. They were so sweet and made our experience one to remember.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. The prices were cheaper but obviously so were the portions so the dishes were a bit hard to share between 5 people. We got: - prawns: amazing char, beans were good too - tuna: juicy and cooked perfectly, lentils were fine - clams: sandy, broth was fine, so was the bread - truffle gnocchi: best thing we had, sauce is phenomenal, almost as good as what I had in italy next week - steak and potatoes, both were okay, a little bland (I didn't like the sauce either) - mushroom rigatoni: second best, again the sauce was great
google avatar

Rebecca Q.

Yelp
Insane happy hour deals all day Sunday and Monday! No reservations accepted and restaurant fills up fast so plan accordingly. The creamy truffle gnocchi was to DIE for and the clams and octopus salad were so fresh and fragrant. Spicy meatballs had a slight kick to them, $7 wine was crisp, molten lava cake dessert was nutty, music was bumping, and service was amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
We went to List during their happy hour when all bar food is 50% off. We ordered different items off the menu and treated it like tapas since the plates are pretty small. They also brought out a complimentary plate of bread. Organic tomato salad, gorgonzola cheese, capers: appreciated how fresh the dish was, but the tomato lacked any flavor. Overall didn't feel like a very coherent dish Handmade Gnocchi with black truffle cream: some of the softest, freshest gnocchi I've ever had. Did not taste any truffle flavor Columbia River steelhead, spicy cilantro pesto: appreciated the freshness of the fish. Unfortunately the skin was burnt, which created a bitter flavor Natural Washington beef shoulder tenderloin steak: steak was served medium well as asked for. Nice and tender. Sadly a few of the pieces were partially burnt Seared Ahi Tuna, lentils, ginger sauce: this dish was incredible! Very fresh Ahi tuna and the ginger sauce was insanely flavorful. So good that we actually ordered a repeat, but unfortunately the second dish was not consistent in ginger flavor Overall, glad we tried this place for the ambiance and decent prices during happy hour. Really loved the gnocchi and the seared ahi tuna. Wasn't super happy about the burnt pieces or the inconsistency in flavor when re-ordering a dish.

Yelp
This place was decent. I went with my friend during happy hour and she said she frequents this place with her coworkers. I don't drink much, but from her words, their drinks are really good and that's the highlight usually. We just ordered food that was half off during happy hour and it was all just okay, not bad, but not great. The gnocchi was really good, but I couldn't taste too much truffle. I thought the shrimp was too salty, I didn't care for it. The clams were amazing though! If you're into seafood, definitely get that. It's a great food to just sit and slowly munch on while socializing. The reason for 3 stars and not 4 is that the service was not great, to no fault of the server, they just seemed understaffed so it took a long time for them to get to us. Also, the food was overpriced. The happy hour prices are a good price, but knowing that regularly it's double that is crazy.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love List for happy hour in Seattle! The happy hour menu is solid, offering a great variety of food and drinks at fantastic prices. The food is amazing, with each dish bursting with flavor, and the drinks are just as good. I tried their espresso martini, and it was bomb--perfectly balanced and delicious. The vibes and service are immaculate, making the experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is relaxed, and it's a great spot to unwind after a long day. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great time with great food and drinks!

Yelp
Visited List for the first time the day before New Year's Eve. My friend and I thought it was pretty cool that their happy hour meant half price on the food menu items. We got 4 things to share (meatballs, rigatoni and mushrooms, steak and potatoes, and the gnocci). The food came out hot and tasted delicious. However, I paid for it several hours later with the worst food poisoning I've ever had. I'd eaten nothing else after that dinner and was unable to eat for a good day and half due to my ensuing stomach issues. My friend was also quite sick the next day. So, we both spent New Year's Eve in the bathroom and unable to keep anything down. I'm not sure which one of the dishes did us in since we shared all of them. But, it was a memorable enough sickness for me to never visit this restaurant again.

Yelp
Came here on Monday for their all-day happy hour. Between two people, we ordered the bacon prawns, gnocchi, tenderloin, and octopus salad. The gnocchi was great! But there was little to no truffle flavor imo. The tenderloin we asked for to be medium rare and it came out pretty chewy. Def wouldn't recommend. Bacon prawns are what you expect though the bed of greens it was on was too mushy for my liking. Octopus salad was solid. For drinks we got the lavender lemonade and king bee cocktails. They are a little on the stronger side I think. The happy hour prices aren't bad. Personally wouldn't get food if it's not happy hour, esp since the portions aren't that big either.
google avatar

Alan Z.

Yelp
TL;DR: Food was burnt. Restaurant is way too dark. Came back here on a Sunday at around the same time as my first review. Was similarly busy but we were able to get a spot at the bar. I ordered one of the same things as the last time that I was here; the pan roasted natural chicken. I also ordered the steelhead. The chicken was not as good as the last time, I think there was less flavor in the sauce and it was more burnt. The steelhead was also burnt but I actually liked it more than the chicken once I took the burnt parts off. The issue is that a restaurant should not be serving burnt food so I'm giving this rating. Maybe I'll go back one day and see if this has been resolved but I'm keeping at 2 stars. Don't have any pictures since I was at the bar and the red counter lighting makes all of the photos backlit and basically don't show anything. I still think the restaurant is way too dark.

Mikhenna M.

Yelp
So freaking good. Ended up getting there during happy hour, food was great. We tried most if not everything on the menu. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
Cocktails were good but everything we ate needed salt. Might have been an off night but we probably won't return.
google avatar

Alexander R.

Yelp
Tried several great tapas here, and the standout was the charred octopus - absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is cozy, with tables a bit close together, but that's typical for downtown Seattle. House cocktails leaned a bit too sweet for my taste, though they happily diluted them with club soda, which was appreciated. Great service!
google avatar

Serena H.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Friday night around 6 pm. Waited a brief 5 minutes for a table to open up. They were definitely understaffed but service was decent. My husband and I got the pear and goat cheese salad, steak tenderloin, and gnocchi. The gnocchi was definitely the best dish. Although it didn't taste of truffle, the sauce was flavorful with a bit of spice. The pear and goat cheese salad was underwhelming with barely any flavor in the dressing with three tiny slices of pear and a chunk of goat cheese. The steak was ordered medium rare and cooked ok but the char on the outside was very bitter. Potatoes were crisp but nothing to write home about. Overall, I would say the best word to describe it would be "sloppy." The place has the makings of a good restaurant but fails a few steps before achieving excellent execution. Ambiance was cute with lots of couples. Tip: Get there by 6 because there is a 6:30 rush to catch the tail end of happy hour.
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Not worth the visit IMO. They draw customers in with a 50% off happy hour which drops the price to what I'd consider normal since each plate is small. Definitely don't come here if it's not happy hour. The food itself is mediocre. The goat cheese and pear salad is a good combo pairing, except the dish is 95% bland greens tossed in lemon juice and only 5% goat cheese and pear. I wish the ratio was better and there was some vinaigrette instead. The gnocchi is what they're supposedly known for but I don't think it's anything to write home about. The menu advertises black truffle but it's not very present in the flavor - instead there is a cream sauce that is...ok? The dish could have used more salt. The steak exterior had char that tasted bitter. It ruined the dish for me - I was cutting it out by the end. You know you messed up if someone throws part of a steak away. To be fair I liked the potatoes - they are well cooked although I wish there was more seasoning like herbs and salt.
google avatar

Yvonne Yiyao X.

Yelp
Actually pretty fire of a place for happy hours. Since the portion size is on the smaller end, I got to try a few different items. I actually prefer it this way because I get bored by big portion of one single item so quickly. All of the items I tried were very delicious. My favorite was the octopus salad. The place was smaller than expected, but it wasn't crazy full at 5:30 PM on a Monday evening. Service was pretty decent too. Will certainly come back!
google avatar

Vikrant J.

Yelp
Wtf. This much food for $25??? Are you serious?? This is not a food plate in any world. On top of it serving it in such a big container?
google avatar

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
The happy hour in particular is great - it is 50% off all of their specific dishes, and the food was quite good. The sizes are pretty reasonable for their HH price, though I'm not sure I would pay the non-HH price for it. The steak I got was very flavorful but a little bit tougher than I would have preferred, but the gnocchi was great and truffle-y without being overwhelming. It's very dim in the restaurant, which could be good or bad - I found it a bit hard to read the menu or to see the doneness of the steak.
google avatar

Brooke A.

Yelp
List is without a doubt one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. They have an unbeatable happy hour that can almost always fit into my schedule, as it is all day Sunday and Monday and early and late evening all other days. 50% off already reasonably priced food is such a steal! I've tried almost everything on the food menu, and my favorites are the truffle gnocchi, steelhead, and meatballs. The salads are also delicious, but much less filling. The steelhead is probably the most generous portion-wise. It comes on a bed of farro. The dessert isn't included in the happy hour, but I believe it's worth getting anyways - the molten cake is super decadent, and the hazelnut ice cream is unique and creamy! This is a smaller restaurant, so I'd advise against coming in large groups.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
So glad I finally tried this place! We went on a Thursday for happy hour and there was no wait. Staff was really friendly and attentive. I ordered their gnocchi and loved it! It was beautifully plated and amazingly made. Not too heavy either. Also for happy hour, their dishes are 50% off! Definitely recommend giving this place a visit.

Yelp
Decided to try List Restaurant for their happy hour. It's next door to Umi Sake House and Roquette Cocktails & Spirits. We dropped in on a Monday evening (5:00pm). Didn't get busy until about 6:00pm. Interesting that they ask for ID when you enter. Music started off as loungy, then slowly turned club-like. Happy hour is 50% off everything on the food menu (all day Sunday and Monday, otherwise 4:00-6:30pm and 9:00-11:00pm). Beware, the tip options start at 20%. - Plum blossom ($10.00 USD) - not bad. A touch of tartness. - Grilled octopus salad, citrus emulsion ($10.00 USD) - my favourite dish of the night. Octopus was tender and nicely charred. - Handmade gnocchi, black truffle cream ($10.00 USD) - gnocchi was soft, not too rich with the slightest truffle note. - Seared ahi tuna, lentils, ginger sauce ($10.00 USD) - disappointing. Lentils and spinach were bland. Ahi tuna was overcooked and flavourless. - Local fresh clams, white wine broth, plum tomato puree ($10.00 USD) - decent portion but a couple clams weren't washed properly. Broth lacked depth and bread didn't taste fresh. Decent HH at List but nothing to warrant a return visit.

Yelp
Haven't been back since 2013 and came back here in 2023! Food was still very good and 50% off certain hours! Who could beat that?!? I totally recommend this place!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
Super romantic, great fresh food and excellent service. Dark and moody vibe is great for a date.
google avatar

Hucky K.

Yelp
We are here for HH. HH is all day Sunday and Monday, Tuesday - Saturday from 4 - 6:30pm and 9pm - 11pm. Food List menu items are half off. Bottle of Red or White for $24 (selection changes), glass of red or white $7, signature cocktails $9, draft beer $6. They do not take reservations Pros: good atmosphere, intimate, modern, good quality cocktails, decent food, generous HH deal especially on food Cons: food isn't anything special, it is somewhat underwhelming. I consider price to be fair only during HH, but it's just my opinion, of course.
google avatar

Cindy Z.

Yelp
I was intrigued by their famous Handmade Gnocchi with Black Truffle Cream here and was even more excited to find out it's half off during happy hour, which makes the dish only $10. The happy hour deal here is amazing with all their food half off along with some drink specials. The gnocchi is a pretty small plate, but it's cheesy, creamy, and all the things you look for in gnocchi. Definitely come here for happy hour!
google avatar

Yelp
The food menu was small so there were limited options to choose from, but other than that it's a nice Friday date night option. It's tapas style so it comes out as prepared. Our server gave us a few recommendations and mentioned that the gnocchi was the most popular option and I can see why. I would say that it's the best thing on the menu. It was nice and fluffy and full of flavor. I would highly recommend trying this! We also got the steelhead salmon. The inside was cooked well but I thought that the top was sightly over cooked so that part had more of a burnt taste. Other than that it did add a nice texture to it and was good to eat. Lastly, we got the pan roasted chicken which was ok. It didn't have much flavor or anything that made it stick out to me. Their Malbec wine was pretty good also and they have a few options to choose from as well as cocktails. Overall it was a nice environment, popular when we got there around 7 but as people left it got quieter. Our server took good care of us and I'll probably be back to try some more wines and the rigatoni.

Yelp
Yes, this place is, classy, simple and the food is really great! Gnocchi Black Truffle Cream 5/5 Simply incredible and perfect cream, Parmesan and truffle balance! Clams White Wine Broth, Plum Tomato Pure 3/5 Broth was watery and not as flavourful as expected. Columbia River Steelhead 5/5 Perfrectly cooked! Chocolate Torino and gelato 5/5 perfect way to wrap up dinner! Service 5/5 efficient, kind and attentive! Ambiance 4/5 ever so slightly too dim.

Yelp
I've been here a few times so far & it's by far my favorite hidden gem location I almost didn't want to post about it on yelp However, the ambiance is great, the food is delicious, with great menu options for happy hour!! The happy hour menu has a page of courses that are all half off. If you go you have to get the gnocchi and the goat cheese salad. Those are my top two for-sure.

Yelp
I stumbled upon LIST on yelp and was very intrigued by the great reviews. Me and my family were only going to be in Seattle one night before our cruise so we chose to have dinner here. Since we were a large party, I called to make a reservation but when you call their number, it just goes straight to voicemail saying they only accept walk-ins and gives you no other option to speak to an employee. Well, we headed there anyway. Upon arrival, the host told us we cannot be seated in the restaurant because we had a 10 year old with us and you must be 21 or over to be seated. I didn't understand this as both of her parents were there with her. The family decided to go to another restaurant but told me and my partner to stay and atleast try their famous gnocchi. We were so hungry and anticipated the gnocchi and Chilean sea bass due to such great reviews. The inside is very dark, but the red chandeliers and tea lights give it a nice vibe. It's a very small space, but we didn't mind it at all. Once we sat, I was looking around and noticed a spider on the wall right next to me and then got on the table disappeared under it. (I was thinking about this spider the entire dinner) The waitress came over and asked if we were ready to order, and as I was about to speak, she stated "by the way, we're currently out of Gnocchi, sea bass, tuna, and the other fish entree (forgot the name.) Well, there goes half the menu and the items we came here to try. I asked if the rigatoni can be made with the same gnocchi sauce and she said yes, so I ordered that, along with the octopus salad, and my partner got the steak. Though the server was great, we couldn't say the same about the food. The octopus was over cooked and so chewy it was extremely difficult to eat. The rigatoni was so flavorless and bland, i had to ask for a side of Parmesan just to pour it all over to give it a little bit of taste. My partner said his steak was OK, but definitely bland and needed more flavor. Since the food was so mediocre we just decided to skip out on dessert. I think the restaurant should have a phone that connects with the actual restaurant in order to tell customers what food they don't currently have and of course advise them that no one under 21 is allowed (which is not a common thing for restaurants.) Unfortunately, we see no reason to come back again.

Yelp
Food - the other reviews are right - try the gnocchi! It was our favorite of the four we got. I almost ordered seconds and I'm regretting I did not. Several options for vegetarians, perhaps not as many for vegan. Many pescatarian options and a few gluten free. The clams were pretty good overall. My partner said the chicken was fine and that he liked his steak medallions quite a bit. We concluded that while the food was good and we would come back, we would only go out of our way for the gnocchi. Should've had seconds. Also, highly recommend coming for happy hour, which is 4-6:30 T-Sa and all day Su and M as of this review (Aug 2023). Food is half off which is an amazing deal for the price. We could come out of our way for that and it was highly reasonable, which usually is not the case for tapas style places in Seattle. The drinks were actually really good and I'd come back for those too. We had the Plum Blossom and Espresso Martini. Service - we were the first ones in the door at open and they were still very polite and attentive. They kept water full and bussed promptly. They also checked in frequently but didn't hover or push anything. They also answered all our questions and were very speedy with the food but still brought it out at a good pace so we weren't slammed with everything at once. Ambiance - very pretty and modern interior. White linen napkins, pretty wooden tables, and nice stemware. *Mood lighting* making it more of a romantic or chic vibe. Felt classy but not snobby, which was nice. They also have a little mezzanine/patio area in front but we preferred the AC in back.

Yelp
10/10. Small quaint restaurant, great vibes, sweet staff, on point. Every food dish we've tried was amazing. Cesar and rigatoni are my favorite. Lovely for family style and sharing, or just yourself. Sundays and Mondays are the best days to go ;)

Yelp
I've come to List twice and I think it is pretty mediocre. Their happy hour is a great deal - 50% off on food is no joke. I do think the amount of food you get correlates to the happy hour prices, so you do need to order multiple dishes to walk away satisfied. I was mostly bothered by the ambiance, especially at night - all the tables are so crowded together that I feel bad for anyone who is there on a "date". The lighting is nonexistent except for a couple candles on the table; so hard to get good pictures of my food. Not a huge fan of the mood it sets. I will say that the service has been pretty great each time I've gone, especially since they are always crowded. The servers are super friendly and provide suggestions. The food is just alright. I am not a huge fan of the Grilled Octopus Salad - the capers don't need to be a part of it. The Beef Tenderloin is pretty good but the sauce is a little sweet. I think my favorite thing has got to be the dessert, a chocolate lava cake with ice cream. I would probably come back again, but I hope they change up the menu sometime.

Yelp
There are so many good restaurants in Seattle but this is at the top of the List!!! The happy hour all evening Sunday and Monday cannot be beat but honestly the food is more than worth paying full price for. We love the Steelhead, the Rigatoni with mushrooms and the grilled Caesar. The cocktails are also top notch and cost less than most places in the city. It has a dimly lit trendy vibe....perfect for parties of 2-4. Service has always been great! Food comes out as it is ready so consider that as you order.

Yelp
Full menu at half price is amazing! We shared the gnocchi, octopus salad, seared ahi and clams. Everything was exquisite and delicious!

Yelp
We came here after watching a show at the theatre because we saw the menu for their happy hour. Their happy hour is a great deal! I love the atmosphere here. The lighting is VERY dim, almost can't see my plate (used flash for these photos i know...) but honestly I think it sets the mood very nicely. The servers are so friendly and I felt very comfortable here. The cocktails we ordered were strong, but not my preference for flavors. I think the food would definitely pair better with wine. The pastas we ordered were delicious. They came out pretty quickly and tasted really good. I generally dislike creamy sauces (alfredo, carbonara) but I really liked these. They were well seasoned and perfectly chewy :) I also ordered the octopus (forgot to take a pic I was so excited to eat) which was also perfectly cooked (amazing soft consistency). Overall, I would certainly come here again, especially for the happy hour. It's a great place for a special night out and the happy hour is very reasonably priced.

Yelp
Rating is a 4, bumped up a full point for their happy hour half-off pricing. Amazing! List is a 21+ restaurant with HH all day Sunday. Not everything is perfect, but for the price, it truly is more than worthwhile. Drink purchase is not required for HH. The seating space is modest sized. We arrived at 5pm on a Sunday and sat down immediately. 20 minutes or so later, it was full. They don't take reservations, so plan accordingly. The place is super dark (and small), so I wouldn't plan a large group gathering here. The server was attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. The kitchen is running very smoothly. The portion size is between an appetizer and a main course. Most folks will likely want more than just one dish. The Food: Grilled octopus salad, citrus emulsion, HH$10 - 4.5 Stars This is one of their most popular dishes with a light lemon juice dressing. A tad simple but we both still liked it. The char on the octopus is just right - not too burnt. WA beef shoulder tenderloin steak, HH$12 - 5 Stars Ordered medium rare, and it was perfect. The roasted potatoes were surprisingly delicious. Roasted to perfection! Highly recommend this dish. Seared Ahi Tuna with green lentils, ginger sauce, HH$10 - 4.5 Stars Protein and produce - this is a healthy dish. I like the very rare tuna center that wasn't cold nor icy. The sauce doesn't taste like ginger, but it's still tasty. Having the kale is a pleasant surprise (not stated on the menu); I like my greens. Columbia River steelhead, spicy cilantro pesto, HH$10 - 4 Stars I didn't taste any spicy flavor on this sauce, either. Sauces might not be their strength. The presentation/sides are nearly identical to the tuna. Be careful of fish bones. I found two pieces. It's hard to see in the dark. I like the tuna version better, but this is still good. Baked broccoli, HH$6 - 2 Stars These are over-steamed broccoli then lightly baked. It's mushy, lacking char, texture, and "bite". If I had paid full price at $12, I'd be sending it back. Not getting this again.

Yelp
3 stars for the gnocchi; the octopus salad was sad, lots of onions & capers not much octopus The steel head fish was ok; Spivey but very fishy tasting. Won't come back.

Yelp
Bad service, rude server, fish was burnt. She could not explain what a 3% service fee was for and tried to pass it off as a Seattle city tax.

Yelp
I'm glad we got here before 6 PM because it filled up very quickly and there were no tables available after six. Their happy hour menu offers fantastic half-price food offerings. Décor is minimalist with the addition of some odd plasticky red chandeliers. It has a dark and cozy vibe. The food was good even though the salad had been dressed for far too long. Cocktails are excellent.

Yelp
I came here with my boyfriend. Enjoyed the octopus salad; the spicy meatballs were okay, but the pan roasted natural chicken was a bit bland. Service was bit slow. Loved the ambiance. Worth considering for happy hour.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday at 8:30. IDs checked before we got seated. Got our drinks The King Bee 5/5 & Lavender Lemonade 3/5 and waited for 9PM to order Happy Hour food. We got the Spicy Meatballs 5/5, Rigatoni 5/5, Bacon Wrapped Prawns 5/5, Beef Shoulder Tenderloin Steak 4/5, Seared Ahi Tuna 5/5 and Columbia River Steelhead 3/5. While feasting on the small plates we added a Plum Blossom 5/5 and a Dark Mule 5/5. The bar was dimly lit with a nice vibe . Server was friendly. A perfect place with a date in DT Seattle
