Very pretty inside and out. Drinks have original spin on classics. Love that they encourage you to bring your own food. Hard to park but that's to be expected with location

This is a ok bar. I like the environment more than the actual drinks. They also had a lot of flies when I went which was a bit annoying

Came here on a bar crawl and our bartender Lindsay was a gem… vibes were impeccable. Fun spot, friendly crowd, great place for a drink with friends!

Great neighborhood bar with a DJ playing a variety of music from 00s hip hop, house, etc. signature cocktails are pretty average, few beer options. Plenty of seating and room for dancing!

This bar has some of the best drinks and atmosphere in all of Los Angeles. Service was top notch as the bartenders and managers went above and beyond. This will always be my go to bar in the are and I cannot recommend it enough for great drinks, music, vibes, and people.

Staff was rude and they over charged me and my friends. I had one drink and they charged us all $50 EACH! now I have to call my bank. Thanx. Lame place lame location. Gentrification at its finest. This $50 charge is the only one I have ever experienced in LA. Or any bar. Check the reviews before you go.

Found this place on a drive to find somewhere to eat. Loved this little place. Very friendly and informative staff (had street parking questions). Drinks were great and the atmosphere was nice.

Fun time all-around, right? Sure. Solid cocktails? Definitely. Welcoming staff...not so much. While the bartenders are great at what they do and manage to keep their composure during busy Dodgers game periods, the doorman is rude and borderline aggressive when approaching people. As for the drinks... Margarita:I loved it, but I love fruity drinks so if this isn't what you're looking for in a margarita, maybe go for another drink. Old Fashioned: I have absolutely hated this drink at every bar I have tried it from; Little Joy made a believer. The perfect ratio of bitter-to-sweet. It will get you tipsy while enjoying the taste. The Jungle Bird: My favorite drink at Little Joy: Fruity, beautiful presentation, and packs a punch. You will be laughing and taking annoying IG selfies before you know it. I'll come back to Little Joy anytime, but perhaps not during a Dodgers rush.

Service sucks. Drinks suck. Gentrified and overcrowded. Even the patrons at the place sucked. The people are shady, my wallet was stolen from my purse while I was inside. And to top it off there's no in service phone number to use to try and call the place. I tried calling their sister restaurant to get some help getting in contact with the little joy staff and still no luck even with that. I was told "even if their phone did work they wouldn't answer" I've heard this place has changed for the worst over the years and I guess it's true. When my friend went in to check if my wallet was found the bartender wasn't making eye contact and the entire interaction seemed shady. First and last time going here. You're better off going to any other dive bar in LA.

Had a great night out this past Friday, our bartender made a delicious Hot Toddy for me since it was a cold night out, she was really cool to chat with and served with a smile. The music was excellent and the crowd was a diverse crowd of cool people just having a good time. Plenty of bar seating and a decent sized dance floor, a pool table and a great time. My girlfriend and I met some really great people and had a great time just vibing and listening to good music. No one brought drama, everyone was friendly and just looking to have a good time. Highly recommend for a fun night out or a fun date night. I'll definitely be stopping by again soon.

Stopped by this bar otw back to the car because bar flores was busy. I would never purposely come here. It took us 15 mins to get our drink because our assigned bartender was " busy", while 4 other bartenders awkwardly stared at us until she was able to take our drink order. I don't think I saw any bartenders smiling lol

Renovations like this is why Silverlake and Echo Park suck now. No character. Just the usual tasteless pretentious overpriced bullshit you see popping up everywhere to cater to rich, bland, boring tourists. I used to love this spot and had many great nights dancing here on their different music nights. Drinks were cheap, which made you spend more, which also made you want to come back all the time and bring everyone you knew here. Not anymore. RIP Little Joy.

This is a great neighborhood spot. There's something for everyone and the crowd is very diverse and welcoming. It's really wonderful if you're able to get one of the booths and the seating is extremely comfortable. On a nice day it's open and airy and a great place to watch the sunset. During busy hours it gets extremely crowded so seats are coveted.

Vibes here are cute! Went for two drinks and I loved the throwback music ! Service was good it was busy and got my drinks reasonably fast .

The drinks are always delicious! The customer service is always on point from the bartender Zoe. She always greets me with a warm smile. Thank You for always making me feel special. You are a genuine, kind hearted and quality human being. A rarity in the LA nightlife. I enjoy karaoke at this bar as well, the karaoke host Osiris is always very kind and enthusiastic. This bar is super cute. It feel like I'm on vacation in Mexico. I love the dimmed lighting, the cozy booths, and the light colors. A very Acapulco aesthetic. I recommend!

Cute little bar! It was decorated for Christmas, the bartender was attentive, but I didn't get her name. I went on a Sunday night, & the crowd was small but pretty lively. I ordered a spicy margarita; it wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was pretty good! Prices were average-ish, probably too much for the location. My single cocktail was $20 with tax & tip. I was there just under an hour. I probably won't be going again, but it was nice.

Great bar tenders and good drinks! Definitely a place to come before or after the dodgers game or just because! It's newly remodeled and had such a open and good summer vibe! They have a dj booth and pool table also

The most inattentive bartenders I've come across. Came with a part of 3 and the bar was not that crowded to wait for more than 15 mins. One bartender saw us but didn't acknowledge and we stared bad and wave but nothing. Instead, bald bartender decided to just eat her/his pizza slice and move a couple of cocktail cups. Horrible service because there was NONE.

why does this place have 3 stars??? i came here at 5:30pm on a friday after putting my name down at quarter sheets (guilty as charged). the vibe is breezy, bright, indoor-outdoor. they had a LAMBRUSCO on the menu which is how you know they know. (side note, join my campaign for more US bars to offer bubbly reds, far superior to the bubby white). the bartenders were so kind and gave us nice big pours. lots of groups of girls in the other patrons. it was the start of a perfect friday.

Definitely one of the worst bars I've experienced in my life. The bartender erick was tipped and decided to be the head honcho of the committee of trying to prevent future business. We spent more the twice the current customer base and were discriminated against because we only provided tip to one bartenders out of the 3 worst bartenders in Los Angeles. They asked the security guards to remove me even though there was no incidents with current bar guests or any atrocious acts throughout the bar. The removal request is because I did not leave tips for 2 out of the 3 worst bartenders in Los Angeles .

Little Joy Cocktails was a fun, unexpected discovery. We ended up here after having margaritas at Bar Flores about a block or so away across the street and really enjoyed our experience. We didn't stay long as we had places to be, but I definitely would not be opposed to coming back. The Hazy IPA that I ordered ($10) certainly hit the spot. If you're in the area, I'd recommend stopping in and checking this place out. The decor is nice, and the vibe is on point.

After a series of failed businesses; Amaro, the Holloway, and the rapidly tanking and wildly overpriced Lonely Oyster, owner Don has decided to take his only sure bet, a no-frills neighborhood dive, and make it awful. Little Joy wasn't a cocktail bar, and it's still not a cocktail bar. It used to be somewhere that you could go for a reliably cheap shot, beer or highball, but now they have a cocktail menu charging no less than $18 for a "Don Collins" (narcissist much?) making it the most expensive bar in the neighborhood. Frankly, it's a middle finger to Echo Park and the locals who patronized this establishment for years. Go to Bar Flores or Lowboy for a better cocktail that costs a fraction of price. Not to mention, the new decor looks like a Crate and Barrel magazine threw up. Don clearly has his employees competing in a review contest if you see how many of them are named in the recent five star reviews. Very clever way to disguise the fact that the public hates what you've done to your bar.

For some people, Hope is a word on an Obama campaign poster. But for people who know, Hope is a bartender at Little Joy, serving margaritas mixed to perfection, with ingredients that will light your tongue on fire, sweating from hot flashes, and begging for more. At one point, this was a dark, dank, claustrophobic bar, but now, Hope has shone a light on the late night scene in Echo Park. Don't forget to tip your bartenders.

I have always loved this bar. With the new renovations it makes it even more awesome and spacious, on top of that the bartender Kandis is a gift beyond words. She made me feel so welcome, 18,000 stars. We'll be back soon.

Oh and they withhold 50$ on your card when you decide to open a tab. Went yesterday and still have yet to see my returned 50$ in my bank account. Would have been nice if the bartender told me this before I opened it up. So there's a heads up.

Stumbled in to use the bathroom while walking to a Dodgers game and saw some lovely looking drinks. Had a nicely chilled Pinot Gris and took a break. Clean, nice staff.

Little Joy has changed so much over the years and even the last version was a cleaned up imitation of the version before it, but this latest renovation takes it to a whole new level -- it's really distressing and a sign of the changing neighborhood. This isn't a chill local dive bar anymore, if the $18 cocktails are any indication (most expensive drinks in Echo Park! At Little Joy for Christ's sake!). Decor looks like a Pottery Barn version of what you might see on Abbot Kinney in Venice, with the pool table left behind like a sad signifier of what the bar once was. I used to be a regular, and I won't be returning. But seeing the crowd on opening weekend, they will probably be fine. This bar just isn't for the old locals any longer, it's a damn shame. RIP Little Joy.

Probably sitting in this bar right now! Love the renovations, and the open window concept. This bar reminds me of Tulum or Mexico City dives, with great music and drinks. Prayed to the gods of alcohol for a place to spend hot summer days, and LittleJoy answered.

Sad place, but in a mildly entertaining way. Was waiting for a ride for all of 6 minutes on the side of the bar on an empty Sunday night and the staff chased me away from the public sidewalk because I was waiting on the "smoking bench", but not smoking, while nobody else was out there. It was a cheap, ugly, unanchored bench thrown haplessly on a public way. Maybe the place is a Philip-Morris front? Or perhaps the staff are moonlighting from their day jobs as cops chasing street vendors out of the city? Wish I could say it lives up to its name as some of my fellow reviewers have. However, "little joy" would be a gross overestimate in this case. More like "negative joy" or "joy by way of recommending it to someone you hate". More fun to buy a 40 as the gas station across the street--staff there is a lot nicer and a hell of a lot more interesting. Prices are better, too.

Should have kept it as a dive bar. Now Little Joy Cocktails acts like a bougie hipster bar that overcharges for some of the worst cocktails of my life and has some very shady other practices... Skip this one and go get some good service, reasonably priced cocktails that actually taste good, and a nicer vibe at Lowboy or Short Stop.

Nice ambiance! What was lacking was the poor service provided to us. The biggest problem were the drinks....watered down and expensive. After 2 rounds we had to leave.

I love this bar! Such a great spot for day drinking and people watching on sunset. The bartenders and bouncers are all so friendly and overall just great vibes. The sangria is heavenly will definitely be back!

This place used to be a fun spot to grab a drink. It was casual and chill less than 6 months ago. I just went this evening and there was a guest list, and the bouncer accused us of being 'too drunk' when we hadn't even been drinking. The people working the door gave off the weirdest vibes that completely turned me off and ruined my night. It was an absolute mess. It's so sad to watch a place become unrecognizable due to gentrification. I don't even know who this bar is for now.

Went in for one drink and paid $20, but then the next day it says $50 pending on my account. Sneaky establishment. And there's no phone to contact, even sneakier

The service was awful. Not only was I in the bar for only 30 minutes, I got attitude for ordering one drink. I only came in to meet with a friend. I got $14 drink and gave a $4 tip. The tall lanky Mexican bartender with teeth that look like they're trying to run away from his bad breathe, charged $50 for my single drink, after I left. This wasn't a mistake it wasn't busy, there were 6 ppl in the bar. This was targeted and this probably happens a lot since there is no number to call. I hope a manager returns my message before I take further action.

With the new renovation, I don't really see the point in keeping the same name since it has completely wiped out any speck of spirit from the previous look. What in the all-inclusive Cabo resort is this?

We stopped in here one night while we were waiting to get inside Quarter Sheets. I know there's some controversy with the recent remodel and the missing spirit of the old Little Joy - but we had a nice glass of wine & listened to some great music - definitely felt like we were somewhere else - not in LA - and that's fun sometimes - right?!

I have been here on three different occasions. Busy, empty, and mildly busy. All three times were similar in the fact that they were all disappointingly normal. Prices were pretty cheap but in this case you get what you pay for. The aesthetic does have potential to be something great, but it's missing a bit of personality. Service was very poor. I spent 10 minutes the first time trying to get someone to notice me in an almost empty bar. It's as if the bartenders would rather be elsewhere. The customer service connection with guests is not there, and with other incredible, more personal spots down the block, it's safe to say Little Joy does not stand out.

I don't know what happened to this bar. It used to be really cool and had music acts in a back room, but now it seems like it was completely gutted. The service is terrible, prices are moderate to high, and they keep the garage doors that serve as windows open when it is cold outside. This used to be one of my favorite bars. Sad that this is what it's become.

Update again- So the social media person who was helpful from day 1 contacted me to check in on the status. They informed me that they now have new management. Call me forgiving but because of them I might give it another go.

Little Joy cocktails does not serve food they let you bring food in but you have to take the trash out all the Service alcohol. There bartenders are good at the craft I recommend a place

I've been coming to Little Joy for 15 years now and it continues to scratch every bar itch I have. The bartenders are kind and knowledgeable, the music is somehow ALWAYS exactly what I want to hear, and the energy inside before Dodger games is just SHEER JOYOUSNESS. It recently underwent some renovations and the entire length of the building along Sunset Blvd is now OPEN AIR. The sunshine hits your face just right as you perch at the street-facing bar-top and wave to friends and dogs walking by. One of my favorite parts about this spot is that even though it looks different, it continues to be a super eclectic melting pot of people. An overall A+ neighborhood bar!! You'll find me drinking ice cold beer there all summer.

Horrible service. The bartender served a ton of people that arrived after us. After 20 minutes when we tried to get her attention she asked if 'it was an emergency'. Definitely not going to spend my money here anymore.

Been coming here for a few years and with the changing neighborhood, Little Joy has gone through a nice little renovation. Gone is the dark and dingy neighborhood bar. It's been replaced with something a little more welcoming. I liked the old Little Joy, but i prefer this new version. It's nice having more options that my old lady and i can both frequent

Very suspicious they take a 50 dollar cover charge when you open a tab. I'll have to be contacting my bank to make sure everything is set straight but it's a shady business practice. If you value your money don't go.

For some reason this bar traded in being the coolest dive bar in Echo Park so they could be the middest attempt at, I'm not really sure what they are going for, actually. The cute and contemporary vibe is kind of sterile with nothing on the walls? Spicy marg was way too spicy, not sure why they kept the name when they have changed absolutely everything! Overall cute with the garage doors and open air, but the drinks were overpriced for what they were. Bar Flores is cuter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
