Little Sister Restaurant in Providence Is a Must-Visit Dining Experience | Bon Appétit

"Ocean blue walls, tin ceilings, tile floors, and a profusion of live greenery make Little Sister feel like a coffee shop you might find tucked between the shops and bars of Santurce, San Juan’s vibrant creative district. Instead, it sits at the corner of Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue, not far from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. The goal at this café, according to Milena Pagán, its owner and head chef, is to fill a gap in a traditionally white area, and provide a taste of the Caribbean in her adopted home." - ByRobin Catalano

The 33 Best Restaurants in Providence, Rhode Island - Eater

"Little Sister owner Milena Pagán first won over Rhode Islanders’ stomachs with her artisan bagel shop Rebelle. Her second venture, Little Sister, is primarily a daytime cafe, offering flavor-packed lunch options and expertly made baked goods. The menu is inspired by the flavors of Latin America and Puerto Rico, where she grew up. Favorites include chicken empanadas, Cubano sandwiches, and dulce de leche cake. Decorated with tropical flair and plenty of plants, the inviting cafe offers the perfect place to escape, especially during long New England winters." - Jenna Pelletier

Considering we were walk-ins at the start of brunch hour, the 3 of us got sited quickly. It’s very very small…prospective, if 20 are dinning, the place’s packed! I say make reservations for sure. Food was good but over priced. $24 for an egg cheese w/avocado, tomato on brioche w/a side of salad or home fries. The 3 of us got sandwiches and 1 drink each and 1 app. With tip, almost $140. Most expensive brunch I’ve ever had. Good atmosphere and lovely waitress too.

I've been trying to take the 3 hour drive to visit the area for years. I wanted to sight see but most importantly check out Little Sister. As a longtime friend of the owner's older sister, it was on my list of things to do if I ever visited Rhode Island. This place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the service was top notch and the salsa music in the background was the icing on the cake. The guava quesito I had was YUMMY!! I was sad that I did not get to meet Milena in person but I will definitely be back.

Google
As, someone who has been exposed to Latin food my whole life . This place really hits the mark . Everything was amazing . I took home 6 peices of pastry . The cardamom buns where a15 out of 10! And the chicken & waffles . You can taste so many familiar spices & ingredients in every bite !

Google
The food was good! Pretty salty but it may have been just a one off thing. Will definitely return to try again. The brunch sangria was amazing, horchata latte was delicious, and the prix fixe was a great deal to do with a group to taste many items they offer. The ambiance was my favorite part of the experience!

This was our first time at Little Sister and will not be the last!!!!! The James Beard is 100000000% deserved. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great! We had Mofongo Benedict, Shashoska, starter sampler, and Dulce de Leche berry French toast. Everything was delicious, and we will be back to try other dishes.

I don’t want to leave a good review because then this place will become famous and I will never get a table. Service: Why are the staff members so happy here? What a nice bunch of people. The energy spills into the delicious food. Food: Get the Mofongo Benedict. The food is like a hug from inside your tummy. This Latina is very happy to have found this amazing fusion of different flavors to feast on. Thank you. Music: Gosh, listening to Juan Luis Guerra brought me back in time. Lovely music and it was not loud. Yas! I could have a conversation with my partner and listen to the music. My husband was left unsupervised and bought hot sauce and coffee to bring home. We got a complimentary pastry from the owner. We also learned that they have special dinning events on some Thursday nights. Check them on Resy. So, don’t come here. I don’t want to share the happy people with the delicious food with anybody. Mine.

Google
So much heart and attention to detail has been put into this cozy, neighborhood family friendly spot. It’s obvious the owners love their culture and the food they make. You can feel the love. Café con leche was perfect, just like abuela would make. It missed the secret pinch of salt but still excellent. Ordered a $5.50 chicken empanada that didn’t deliver unfortunately. I grew up eating Cuban empanadas and they are always - hot, juicy, heavy and full of flavor with a little crunchy-chewy action with the dough. This had none of those elements. A meager spoonful of chicken stuff that had zero flavor. Their home made tamarind hot sauce helped me finish it. Their star dish - mofongo Benedict was excellent explosion of Latin flavor and recommend sharing as it is large. The shredded pork was cooked perfectly. Their abundant selection of pastries looked amazing but didn’t try this time as the mofongo filled me up. Giving a 5 star for overall experience for flavor and ambiance. 💙

We drove 90 minutes to get to Little Sister. It was worth it! Warm and friendly service, great atmosphere, and the food is outstanding. We were in San Juan 2 months ago and we needed a fix. It was just what were craving! 🇵🇷❤️

Yelp
We found Little Sister from--of course--looking for brunch options on Yelp after a wedding near Providence. I tried making a reservation online, but we were too close to the booking time, so we showed up anyway and they were able to seat us after a wait, during which time we went down the street to a local shop. It's very cute inside, with an imtimate dining space. They sell local jams and things in there, which was nice, and I bought some of the apricot jam (which is in my fridge right now, and I highly recommend). I enjoyed the chicken chicharrón and waffle, which, contrary to the typical meaning of chicharrón, is not pork. The horchata ice cream was a nice way to finish up the meal. Great little place I'd be happy to come back to!

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast or brunch on Hope Street. I recommend visiting on the weekend when they offer a larger menu. They have a prix fixe brunch for $40. I tried an empanada and the Mofongo Benedict, which gained popularity after Jamie Lee Curtis visited. You can have it with pulled pork or mushrooms. It's unique and delicious, but I'm not sure it justifies the $29 price tag. It is quite filling, however. Their hot sauce selection could be improved. Overall, it was a good experience, though a bit pricey. Service can be slow, so it's best to get there early and make a reservation through Resy, especially on weekends.

Yelp
The service was great! Our waitress was kind and awesome. The ambiance was fun and cute. We both got the dulce de leche latte which was amazing. I would definitely get that again. Our breakfasts were good and flavorful. The breakfast deluxe came with a ham croquette that wasn't our favorite. Little bit of an odd texture. I would love to come back for a wine tasting or lunch! Overall great spot! Perfect for brunch in Providence.

Sam B.

Yelp
Very good. Got the shakshuka Dulce de leche French toast and the avocado toast. Pretty impeccable. Wish the French toast was fluffier and that the prices were a little lower but I can appreciate that the higher price point might be a trade off for great food, ambience and employee satisfaction. Will be back

Yelp
Cute, charming, small restaurant on the corner. We were coming into town for 1 night and Little Sister was our first stop when we arrived. We did make a brunch reservation a few days ahead of time. Everything we had was very flavorful, the staff were wonderful, and we felt like the prices were same/similar to any other good restaurant we've gone to.

Yelp
Came as a breakfast recommendation from a local Providence-r. Love that there's a cafe with Puerto Rican influence near Hope street, it was so easy to eat then explore the street afterwards. We got the two eggs, potatoes and toast and egg on brioche. Both were amazing and so flavorful! The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and had a good crunch. We had a choice of jam - we picked a guava raspberry I believe and it was probably my favorite part of the dish. I got the egg on brioche and added chorizo for an additional $2, it added a bit of saltiness but could go without next time. Inside was super tiny but we didn't come when it was busy. Staff were kind! We realized one of the dishes were ringing up at a higher price than on the menu and the owner gave us some free palmiers on the house!

Yelp
This is place has the best vibes- gorgeous decor, chill staff and most importantly, the best food. We've stopped by for both brunch and the Sunday wine tastings, and are blown away by the high quality and flavorful dishes. Even the most simple salad comes with the most scrumptious dressing, that will leave you scrapping around for every last morsel. I truly think there is something for everyone on the menu. Concept- cool, hip, and small cafe specializing in Puerto Rican food Best For: Date Night, Friend Hang and Small Groups Pro Tips: - Make a reservation ahead of time - to sit or for take out - there are two special nights- a chef's choice tasting menu on Friday and a very cool wine tasting on Sundays. Visit to get on the list. - tostones, maduros, the sesame-Horchata, the cubano, are all to die for.

Yelp
I had heard promising things from this place, so when I was visiting, I made a reservation for their Sunday brunch. Overall, I was pretty disappointed, sadly. The space is small with only about 6 tables and a bar. We had made reservations on Sunday; others who hadn't were told there was a little over an hour wait around 11 AM. They were punctual in seating us at our reservation time, and the staff was overall friendly, which is honestly one of the only reasons I gave two stars invested of one. The barista/our server seemed to be new and spilled coffee on one of our phones--not a great start to the meal. I ordered a horchata latte, which was probably one of the best items we ordered. The added cinnamon on top was a little strong, but overall, it was good. To start, we had a horchata cinnamon roll, which was more like a pull apart bun and was overall very, very dry. We ordered the mushroom melt and the loaded potato skillet for entrees. The mushroom melt came on a bread that was almost like a crispy, buttery pastry (the bread/pastry was only other thing we liked about the meal other than the coffee). The potatoes were mostly just soggy home fries with what I'm guessing was smoked paprika in the sauce that was very heavy in the smoked department--it almost tasted burnt. And the skillet was supposed to include chorizo, but it seemed like the kitchen forgot that part. Again, I've heard really great things about this place, so maybe we caught them on an off day or maybe we just didn't order the best items. From what I had though, I don't know that I'd be interested in returning.

Yelp
Paid a spontaneous trip to one of the only Puerto Rican restaurants in Providence today. Being from PR myself, I am familiar with the island's flavor palette and was looking forward to what they had to offer. I had a beautifully cooked Mofongo Bendict that transported me back to my island! It was a gorgeous mixture of eggs, pork, onions, and of course- mofongo. I love seeing Puerto Rican excellence in Providence! Mofongo Benedict 10/10 Beef Empanadas 9/10 Alfajores 8/10 Mallorca 10/10

Yelp
Finally had a chance to visit Little Sister. We made a brunch reservation thru Resy and it was easy. There were choices for tables and counter seats. The restaurant only has 6 tables, "counter" seats are bar-height stools, and bar seats are reserved for walk-in guests. We started with a red sangria and tried to order orange pineapple juice, but they ran out of the orange pineapple juice. It was recommended to order the tepache which is fermented pineapple-ginger. We enjoyed the drinks. From the pastries, we ordered a quesito. This is a traditional Puerto Rican pastry made with puff pastry dough, rolled around a center of sweet cheese. We wanted to try the dulce de leche quesito, but they ran out and ordered the classic instead. This was so good and fluffy. I ordered the dulce de leche french toast which had berry compote and maple syrup on the side. I didn't use much of the maple syrup, since it was sweet enough. The French toast was done well and it wasn't too sweet. I didn't get too much of the dulce de leche flavor. My husband ordered the deluxe breakfast. It was 2 eggs (sunny), bravas potatoes, house toast & raspberry rose jam, and ham croquette. He enjoyed it and it was very filling. We also ordered 2 empanadas to go - beef picadillo and potato-poplano. It was really good. I did prefer the beef empanada more. This was a really cute cafe and definitely recommend making reservations. I would order more of their pastries. Due to the holiday weekend, some of the menu items were out of stock.

Yelp
The best breakfast I ever had in my life I love this place. Order the chicken and waffles!!!

Yelp
We came for brunch and the food was delicious. The food was slightly on the heavier side. Recommend coming early or placing a reservation so the wait time is not too long.

Yelp
Visiting from Philly and just found this on Google. What a gem!! Delicious food. Great service, impeccable vibes. Honestly jealous this is exactly the type of place I would want to run myself. The quesitos and empanadas are divine. Perfect pastry. Then I had the mofongo benny and iced horchata latte. 10/10.

Yelp
A little bit underwhelmed by my breakfast plate and zucchini muffin. Service was great and they sat us at the bar without having to wait despite no reservation so that was very nice. Breakfast plate was good but pricey for what it is, and zucchini muffin frosting was not good. I got a gallete last time I went here and I think that's the way to go.

Yelp
cute and quaint little place for puerto rican food in providence! i love the authentic decor and the vibes of this place. the service was friendly. the food was good, the special of the week was a fair portion and the beans were delicious. nothing too extraordinary. the fermented pineapple and ginger tasted good--like kombucha. we came up 30-40 minutes before closing and they were still nice enough to let us stay. the owner/chef was friendly enough to notice that we were leaving even though she was occupied on her own. no cups for water though interestingly... or maybe they were available somewhere

Yelp
Amazing food. I flew solo, and was able to get quickly sat at the bar. The atmosphere was vibrant. Food was served quickly. I had the egg sandwich on homemade brioche bun with smashed avocado and chorizo. I also had the horchata latte which was perfectly sweetened. I can't wait to come back with my boyfriend who would absolutely love this place!! 10/10!

Yelp
Visited little sister on a Saturday morning for the first time for a special occasion brunch. Everything was homemade and packed with flavor! I had read that it was a Puerto Rican inspired restaurant and was very excited to try it! The food and drinks really lived up to represent the vibrant Puerto Rican culture, including the interior of the restaurant, which popped with bright bold colors. The different juices were made fresh with guava, pineapple, mango, and a few other different fruits for delicious Mimosas. The sangria was also made from scratch with a combination of both white and red wines I believe, with fresh fruits smashed into the pretty purple concoction....Delicious and refreshing. Each empanada was different, ranging from chicken to beef to poblano and potato, and every bite was fantastic! If you have not been here, it's a must try!

Yelp
Still so many areas of Providence this Jersey Boy don't know about after 5 years of frequent trips. After visiting Puerto Rico, we'd been on the hunt for some mallorca, and bro, Little Sister delivered. Like, not delivered to NJ, but like, came through. Like, it was bangin'. We also had some quesitos that were super, super, delicious. No doubt, we will return to feast!

Amy S.

Yelp
Visiting from out of state, was excited to come here. Door hours + Yelp said open until 2pm. Walked in at 1:00pm with a party of 2 and was told the restaurant was full and they weren't taking any more customers. No review of the food, I'm sure it's fantastic! Cute decor. But be aware that they may turn customers away despite being open.

Yelp
Was taking an afternoon flight out of Providence airport and was looking for a hidden gem for brunch in Providence to get a sense of the often talked about foodie scene and some good grub before my flight. I was so excited to score a brunch reservation at Little Sister as it was only very shortly after owner and chef Milena Pagan was named a James Beard semifinalist. This is a small, lovely spot, so reservations are a MUST. When you enter the restaurant, your nosebuds are assaulted in the best possible way with delightful smells and spices. The kitchen is close to the front door and the amazing scents draw you into the space as you start to salivate and get hungrier. The day we went was Brown University's parents' weekend, so they were admittedly out of some things. However, that didn't deter us from truly enjoying brunch and our overall experience at Little Sister. I had the Savory Galette without the Sunny Egg (I'm not an egg eater) and it was perfectly filled with tomato and goat cheese. The flavors were a nice blend and the Galette crust was flaky, buttery goodness. It came with a side salad, which had a flavorful vinaigrette on it. I stole a bite of my friend's Dulce de Leche French Toast, which was rich and yummy. We also split a classic quesito, which was clearly baked with love. Milena herself was there - attentive, friendly and humble about her recent recognition - which was more than well deserved.

Yelp
We've been trying to get to this place for a while. We ordered coffee, gave us a smidge of milk so we needed to ask for more and they only had sugar. We ordered empanadas because they seem to be very popular. Unfortunately the chicken Verdi, was so salty it overpowered the empanada. The beef empanada was better but way too much salt. Plus, we waited 15 minutes for them to be heated and they were still pretty much room temperature. When I asked for cutlery it seemed to be a strange request. How can you stir coffee without a spoon? Our deal breaker was that I had to lay napkins in the counter because it was so sticky. The bathroom is spotless so we're going to assume the kitchen is very clean.

Yelp
Flavors - 4.5/5 Textures - 4/5 Presentation - 5/5 Value for Money - 3.8/5 Would return? Yes Must-try: Mofongo Benedicts Good food and good vibes, what more can you ask for? I came here for brunch and my absolute favorite was the mofongo benedicts. A creative dish that definitely paid out - the base is a crispy version of a mofongo, is has pernil (pork) on top, caramelized onions and the egg. The egg wasn't runny but the achiote hollandaise was out of this world. All flavors complemented each other and it was a perfectly balanced dish. The cubano on brioche was very good as well, but if you are going with a sandwich I'd recommend the Mallorca Breakfast Sandwich! It's like a Croque Madame with a sweet bread. The ratio of bread to filling was perfect. And if you prefer pastries for breakfast, the quesitos and empanadas were fantastic.

Yelp
We was very excited about going to this place I grew up in Puerto Rico my wife make a reservation for two at first and we want to bring our 16 old son after we was trying to change from two to three peoples instead but this place has so many rules and restrictions we arrive at 12:28pm ours reservations was for 12:30pm the waiters saw that we was three and ask us to wait 10 minutes and 10 minutes later she said oh we only have space for two please give us a other half hour to accommodate your family, they made us feel like we need to begin to be there and eat at this small restaurant that obviously the owner totally forgot where she came from,..this restaurant absolutely not represent how the puertorriqueños taking care they customers at all , this little restaurant because yes they are very busy they think that they can just do and treat customers however they want,...by the way they still charge us $20 for cancellation fee but we never cancel we was forced to wait 40 minutes and we made the decision to go elsewhere will never go there again or recommend it anyone is there loss because my ours family is huge and anyone go go to a good restaurant and get good service and good food we all go there

Yelp
Warm staff, adorable decor, delicious food and drinks. The perfect spot for brunch! And the custom cakes look incredible for a party.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and the food is consistently amazing! When they used to serve tapas on weekend nights, they were sooo good, and I really enjoyed the brunch I had there recently. Can't go wrong with the deluxe breakfast and a passion fruit mimosa; the dulce de leche french toast is great too if you like a sweet breakfast. Lastly, they also do delicious, beautiful cakes for special occasions. Would highly recommend for delicious food, beautiful decor/great ambiance, and polite service.

Yelp
I don't know where to begin with this review, so sorry if it's all over the place. Reservation/arrival: website states that you must be on time, as you will only have 1 hour and then you will need to leave. We were 5 minutes early, and sat 10 minutes late and then our order was not taken for another 10 minutes. The food came out quickly and we were out 1 hour after our reservation, but we were worried. While sitting there, we heard the servers talking about how they don't kick people out because they're still eating and they feel bad. The system needs an overhaul -- the reservation should not only be an hour. Food there: great! I had the mushroom melt with an egg and it was perfect. By that I mean there was egg everywhere once I squeezed the sandwich. Food at home: we ordered empanadas to go. I asked for 5 of xyz. My friend ordered 5 xyz. I'm vegetarian, she's not. We then got a box of them all mixed together, and could have separated them, but there was no indication of which was which. This caused chaos when we asked, with one server (who did not take our order) say that we should have been clear about the separate orders. Why can't they look different based on the filling? I've seen this at other places, and they do different shapes here. It's also not the point of me being vegetarian or not in the end -- what if I thought I was eating the breakfast one, take a bite, and get potato and pepper. All this drama, and, they were bland. I also got a jam, which was very one note, as opposed to the flavors that were promised.

Brian Q.

Yelp
We heard wonderful things about the food here so we tried the brunch this weekend. WOW! We had the Cubano on Brioche and Mofungo Benedict and we very impressed. Easily one of the best cubanos available in Providence. As of for the mofungo, it was superb. Whoever roasts the pork here is a mad genius. The downside of Little Sister is its size. The tables are a little small, but overall the whole place has a quirky, cozy feel. A reservation is required, so plan ahead if you want to try this place!

Jorge L.

Yelp
The worst service!!!!! The wait staff would sit large groups and ignore a couple. Waited over 40 minutes in line just to be told they sold out of most food. Not a place I will visit again and WILL not recommend to anyone. As a Puerto Rican owner of multiple businesses I would not treat people like that. While waiting in line 4 people that did not have reservation where seated. Very rude owner

Yelp
After seeing Chef Milena on Guys Grocery Games, I drove an hour and a half to Little Sister's, and I can say it was worth it! We made reservations for Sunday 3/10 for a group of four and after another person decided to join, I called the restaurant, and they were very quickly able to accommodate. After we arrived at the restaurant, we had a short wait to be sat. The restaurant is on the smaller side so I can understand why reservations are needed. It has very nice décor. After being sat, Chef Milena came by and quickly took our drink orders. We ordered sangrias, Guava-Pineapple Fizz, and cortados. For brunch, they have a prefixed menu for $40, which has some nice options, but I chose to order the Mofongo benedict with a dulce de leche quesito. The quesito was delicious and I ordered another one to go, I just couldn't resist. The Mofongo Benedict had the perfect fried platano with pernil alongside the eggs, sautéed onions, and achiote hollandaise. I really like how all the flavors were able to blend. The Mofongo also had the perfectly crisp flavor. This restaurant was an amazing culinary experience and I already look forward to going back. Chef Milena was a wonderful host! I appreciate the conversations. Good luck at your next venture. We are looking to support you there as well!

Yelp
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place at all. First of all, I was told to book a reservation for brunch on their booking partner, Resy.com. So I got ahead and book a reservation for 3 people. Myself, my fiancé, and my grandmother. FOR 11 AM. We get there at 10:40, check in and wait. We waited until from 10:40AM until 11:13AM in a very small hallway filled with about 6 other people. This hallway is also where food comes out from. (Very unsanitary and male waiter kept pushing past my fiancé) At 11:13AM we decide to leave. I felt extremely bad for my elderly grandmother, as cannot stand for long. There is no place to sit and she was in pain from standing there for so long. We leave, and the host/server comes rushing out asking why we are leaving. We give her our reasonable response and she acted like it was our fault. Now heres the kicker... they have a reservation policy stating a $10 charge for each person that cancels. They also have a 10 minute grace period for reservations. After 10 that minutes... they charge you. They go ahead and charge me for canceling, after we were there 20 minutes ahead of time. Waited LONGER than their grace period they have for customers, yet I'm still charged. (In this sense, we should have charged them $10 per person for waiting past their grace period) I can understand having this policy. But when they make customers waits 30+ minuets for a seat, ESPECIALLY with an elder. And we even wait past their grace period... we should not at all be charged for their negligence. Also 2 parties of 2, were sat before us when we got there WAY before them. Absolutely horrible for this, do not recommend.

Yelp
Delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Recommend you make a reservation for weekend brunch. We didn't and we had to wait for about 40 minutes to get a seat. But, the host served us some drinks while we waited and we had fun chatting while waiting for our turn. Will continue to patronize and enjoy their delicious menu.

Yelp
When we arrived sweet Chef Milena was at the door welcoming and sitting the customers. We had reserved counter so we were seated by her and was given the menu and explained how you the place the full order at once. We had 2 cappuccinos, a raspberry/passion fruit cake that the texture is of a corn bread and was excellent and also we had the alfajores, those were out of this world! I ordered the Mallorca breakfast sandwich and hubby had the Cubano on brioche and both were outstanding, we got them with potatoes but you can have salad instead, the potatoes have a spicy sauce that was so good. Service was excellent, dishes came out pretty fast and our experience was very pleasant and eager to come back. We drove an hour just to visit this little gem in Rhody. Definitely make reservations because the restaurant is small and it's BUSY. I wish her nothing but the best and so much more. Boricuas al poder

Yelp
Delicious food and very friendly service. I had the Shakshuka and it was delicious! Rest of the food my family got was also great. Definitely recommend this place for brunch.

Yelp
So this place has been in my neighborhood for a while and I regret not getting there sooner. They are only open a few days a week and reservations are highly recommended. The owner, who also owns Rebelle Bagels, has put together a brunch menu that represents her roots. We shared some pastries and had a salad and French toast. Favorite thing was the empanada-homemade and filled with potatoes and spices (there were four kinds on the menu). The food was all delicious and there are lots of things I want to go back and try. Like many places, they are definitely short-staffed, but once we were seated they were attentive and we felt very welcome.

Yelp
Amazing!!! The interior is the cutest and perfect for an outing with the girls. We went there for brunch and ordered the breakfast sandwich. Absolutely delicious! Apparently they host wine tastings as well which I can't wait to attend. Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
This place is adorable. Unfortunately Google said it was closed today when it was actually open. Ambience inside and out is beautiful and the pastries smell delicious. I'll have to go back for food at some point. My only criticism is that they don't start serving pastries until later in the morning which was sort of weird for an 8 AM coffee meeting.

Yelp
Great Puerto Rican food, great ambiance, fantastic lunch experience. I have also attended one of their wine dinners, which was delicious and a great experience.

Yelp
This place made my trip to PVD! I had not been to Providence in years and frankly didn't know there was anything interesting to eat in the area ‍. Turns out the whole neighborhood was super cute and relaxed for small shops and unique restos. Little Sister caught my eye with the pleased-looking customers dining Al fresco and the inside only got better. For dining solo the tapas and Happy Hour deals were perfect and I loved the Latin Fusion flavors for drinks and food. Add wine and amazing pastries and I'm coming back from Boston for this. The friendly Server and owner chatted me up and made me feel at home, definitely coming back with my Boston crew- thanks for a good time !

Yelp
Delightful horchata latte. Get anything with the patatas bravas! Staff were also super nice.

Yelp
I was excited to try little sister because of their story and because I love Puerto Rican food as I am from Dominican Republic and our food is similar, I also heard the food was good. Unfortunately I have to give it one star. I tried to make a reservation last night and the system was not allowing me to do so, when I woke up this morning the system allowed me to make a reservation, I wanted to make it for 3 people but the system only allowed for 2 or 4 people I thought that was odd but I assumed bringing my son in wouldn't be a problem. When I arrived everything was great, the waitress said it would be 5 minutes. Few minutes passed by and she came over and said our table was ready and asked if it was going to be just 2 as she saw my son too, I tried to explain to her that the system didn't let me do 3 and she said she couldn't accommodate by adding a chair because the space was small, I saw the space it was in a corner an extra chair would have fit, she then checked and said if we waited 30 minutes she could accommodate us, at that point my husband felt unwelcome so we said no thank you, she offered to reschedule and we declined kindly. I am very low key and hate doing bad reviews and in this case I was at fault too but what made me do this review was the part I thought was unfair, I got charged $20 for a cancellation fee and I don't think that is fair because I showed up to my reservation on time and also I made My reservation this morning so I shouldn't be charged a 24 hours cancel fee. I literally just needed a chair added to my table. I wish them well and I wish one day they get a bigger place.

Yelp
Went for some goodies with some friends and I was excited to try this place out. The reviews were really good and the menu had a great selection of different pastries and baked goods. This is my review on the things I got: - Cuban empanada, it was served room temperature. Most places that sell empanadas keep them warm. In a warming bin, under a heat lamp or in the oven. That was a disappointment...and I have eaten probably over 1,000 empanadas in my life.... - Brazo gitano, it was very good. Moist, tasty and light. A delight. A bit small, about an inch or inch and a half thick at best. - Mallorca, it was very dry in the middle. Other Mallorcas I've had in Puerto Rico have been sweet, soft and supple. They were flaky. Not this one. I guess if you dunk it in hot coffee, it would be a good thing. Overall it was ok.

Yelp
Little Sisters atmosphere and vibe is incredible. And their empanadas and signature latte is to die for! Love this restaurant and their food. The service is always great as well. The woman who usually works behind the bar is always kind & very helpful! We love Little Sister so much!

Yelp
Everything was delicious. My favorite pastries were the elephant ear and the mallorca. I had a bite of the arroz con gandules that my friend got- yum! The brunch plates looked very pretty. I was too full, from the pastries, to get anything. Enjoyed the vibe of the place- very colorful, with cool decorative touches. I would be interested in checking out the tapas & drinks here too, on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Yelp
They won't let you sit until after you look at the menu.. weirdest business model for a food I ever seen.. don't waste your time

Yelp
This place is a gem! The decor & atmosphere is super cute & welcoming. I am obsessed with the atmosphere. Though small, it is cozy and cute. The server was also very kind. The portions were much bigger than I had anticipated! It is a little on the pricey side, but great for weekend brunch. I got the avocado toast with a side of two eggs & potatoes. Sooo filling, yet so delicious. The horchata is AMAZING.

Yelp
Had been meaning to come here ever since they opened and finally made it. Cute cafe/bakery with Puerto Rican influences. Currently only doing to-go orders - order ahead or walk in to order. The inside is really cute and well-decorated. Staff is super friendly. Good mask and social distancing practices. There are pastries on display behind the counter and you can look before you order. They have hot food too that's made to order. We went for the "croqueta madame" which is a croque madame but with a ham croquette instead of having slices of ham. SO good. Comes with some greens dressed in a lemony vinaigrette - perfect to balance out the richness of the sandwich. Also got the roasted tomato/poblano/goat cheese galette, which was also delicious. So many more pastries we were tempted to try. Didn't get coffee this time but it looks like they serve Bolt Coffee for drip and iced, Gustos Coffee espresso. Food was great, interior is really cute, prices are reasonable. I look forward to being able to sit down for brunch.

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyed catching up with my out of state friend at Little Sister on a Thursday afternoon! The vibe and atmosphere is perfect for some catching up. Really gorgeous decor and cozy setting. I looked at their website ahead of time and I really appreciated their honestly about how they're clear it's very small inside so they don't have highs chairs or room for strollers. That was my key for an adults only catch up and I left my little one at home. I did notice there were a lot of FYIs on the website that I can see if you don't read ahead, you might get frustrated just showing up. They let you know you have to bring a to go cup if you're taking a drink to go, they also let you know that on weekends there is no takeout. I can see how if you don't check ahead of time, you'd be frustrated. The server was very kind and talked about the different pastries with me. I bought 3 and it came to about $20 including my espresso. I think that price is on par with seven stars on the same street, also I got an iced tea to go and they filled my whole cup (which was large)! Overall I absolutely loved the place. I definitely will return for some amazingly strong coffee drinks!
