Drip Line Oakland Chef Takes Over Local Kitchen Menu in SF - Eater SF

"Chef Nora Haron, who earned praise for her Singaporean-Indonesian-Californian cuisine at Oakland’s Drip Line Cafe, has a new home in San Francisco: Local Kitchen, the 10-year-old SoMa restaurant from owner Jeff Handy. There (at 330 1st Street) Haron will reprise dishes that fans of her cooking have missed since she left Drip Line last summer: Items like chicken satay skewers, lamb meatballs, Singaporean chicken rice, and za’aar roti." - Caleb Pershan

I highly recommend visiting this place; it is absolutely fantastic. The ambiance and decor are flawless, and I had the pleasure of sitting at the gorgeous and inviting bar. To start off, I ordered the Local chopped salad, and it completely surpassed my expectations. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, with crisp greens and delectable olives. The main course was nothing short of incredible. I opted for the Cacio e Pepe, and it left me in awe. The chicken was tender and paired perfectly with the freshly made pasta. I enjoyed the chicken so much that I devoured every last bite! The pasta itself was tender and bursting with freshness. What impressed me even more was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond by recommending a wine that paired perfectly with my meal. They even allowed me to sample a splash to ensure it was to my liking. The overall experience was outstanding. The staff was super friendly, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was beautiful. I am definitely planning to return in the future.

The brunch menu is delicious!! Really, really delicious. We started with drinks and the house made Bloody Mary is so yummy. We couldn’t decide on savory or sweet so we shared pumpkin pancakes to start, which are fluffy and divine w salted carmel and whipped cream. I’ve eaten a lot of pancakes and these are great pancakes. I had the wild mushroom creamy polenta which was amazing with the herbs and perfect poached eggs. My friends loved the eggs in purgatory too, I only got one bite and it was tasty bite. Service was friendly and great. Go and enjoy!

Google
Service was absolutely brilliant, great vibes especially the giant glass door at the entrance. I'd recommend just order pizza here, or from what I heard the burgers are decent too. However the shakshuka was quite a let down.. I've had a lot better in many other places in Europe. It felt like they just mixed the tomato and chickpeas and placed poached eggs on top.. lacking a lot of flavours and spiciness. But their pizza were nice.

Google
delicious food and a good selection of dishes. a little shabby place, the furniture is already tired, giant cobwebs and dust hang on the walls and ceiling. but the food in this place is amazing, I recommend trying rice balls with wild mushrooms and Funghi pizza. there is also a happy hour with nice prices for aperitizers.

Love local kitchen!! I have been coming here since many years!! Food never disappoint! Service was super Awesome! We got grilled broccoli and I normally hate broccoli but this became my favorite!! Of course, pizza is highlight of our meal along with chefs special noodle dish!! Definitely will come back for more!! 😋

Google
Had one of the best brunches here. We had the Chorizo Benedict and blueberry pancakes. Outside seating area is also a nice place to bring our dog. Will hopefully be back again soon to try dinner 😋

Google
Nice restaurant to have in our neighborhood. Tried their new menu (nov 2021) and the burger is delicious. It comes with a generous serving of fries and they give you both ketchup and mayo, the latter tasted like it was made in house. Usually I have to ask for mayo with my fries. Mushroom arancini is cheesy and super crunchy on the outside

Google
Nice spot, but didn't see much of the interior, had pizzas for takeout. Decent, I liked the sauce and cheese, but the crust was too chewy and we ate it without much delay from pick up.

Yelp
We had a great holiday party here for the office. Only 2nd time in San Francisco and some of the best food had in the city. Staff was super great and great environment.

Yelp
I attended a tour and the taste of San Francisco event at local spot called " Local". As their website mentions they have a wine program from California to Portugal. I thought it was all about the food here but it was a drink tasting event of the different San Francisco neighborhoods so called signature drinks. This taste tour of San Francisco was a private event with an open bar. I had to go through different San Francisco districts from zip code to Sip code ( zip code). Let's start with the food since I left another open bar because they ran out of food. Here they had cocktail shrimps and it was ready for the dipping with traditional San Francisco cocktail sauce which you would get at any crab stand at the Pier. They had Fisherman Wharf style pizza ( it is a thing). Then they had the Mission District Style Burrito (had to represent ). Then the North Beach cannoli for dessert. The vibe was right with music pumping out the speakers. As the drinks were started to flow. First they had a wine tasting room but I was getting first class personal service by ordering the drinks on my request. Although I was drinking Pinot Noir most of the time , I did participate on the taste of San Francisco menu. First there was Nob Hill and they had my classic " Old Fashion" with bourbon, bitters and simple syrup. I then headed to North Beach the Local Spritz Aperol, vodka, lemon and sparkling wine (for the Summertime). Then headed towards the FiDi ( Financial District) and had the "Old Cuban" with Rum , mint, lime and bitters. Then circled back to repeat again with the " Old Fashion ". I will always be down for San Francisco and will always be an advocate and very vocal To enjoy the city and county of San Francisco as visitor or a local and go on taste tour at Local

Yelp
Good food and fantastic service. I think Local Kitchen is a great location and vibe for a team dinner, happy hour, or just a casual, post-work meal. My friends ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and Shrimp Penne Alla Vodka, and they both enjoyed their dishes. I ordered the Garden Party Pizza after reading all the great reviews. It was very yummy and also quite large! The crust was your classic American style, neither thin nor super thick and dense. It was fluffy and crisp on the outside, which is always great. I enjoyed all the vegetables as toppings, because not only was there a good variety of colors and flavors, but I was also able to convince myself that it was kinda like eating a salad! While the food was enjoyable, the main reason I am rating this spot so highly is the service. I don't recall their names now, but all the staff were very kind and accommodating. There were a couple mix-ups with my pizza at first (it was a new cook's first day, he did great!!), and they kindly re-did things and provided a generous discount for the inconvenience, which I was not expecting. Good service is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I would recommend checking out Local Kitchen for solid American food in Rincon Hill!

Yelp
I just had dinner there it's an amazing experience, the interior is quant cute and cozy. The server was phenomenal no exaggeration. The food was wonderful, I would recommend there rigatoni bologonese, check this place out you will be surprised.

Yelp
I don't know how difficult it is to update hours and reservations on Yelp. This is the second time I've made a Yelp reservation and the restaurant was closed. I also received the Yelp confirmation... What is happening at this establishment? Too bad...

Yelp
We took a group this week and it was awesome... the restaurant was recently remodeled and the layout and design complements the attention to detail they provide on the food and service. The farm grown ingredients make everything super fresh. The lamb was so tasty, and I'm not a huge lamb fan. The baked Alaska was to die for. Great service and attention to detail throughout the entire meal. Well done to the staff... they closed out our departure knowing we were walking on a cold damp night with a "to-go" hot chocolate that was unsolicited. Definitely dine here!

Yelp
Nikolas, one of the managers, reached out to me almost immediately after my review. He seemed very sincere in his efforts to make it right. He was apologetic about what happened and offered for me to come back and give them another try. I decided to try the vadouvan chicken, as well as the local pizza this time. My friends and I really enjoyed them. The local pizza was a tad greasy but the flavors of both were great and I'm glad I gave them another try. I hope this restaurant does well in the future

Yelp
Refreshing my review from a few years ago and have still been coming back regularly! Local kitchen definitely has seen lots of changes and they continue to make small edits to their menu. Overall, it's a solid spot for a casual dinner and you can always snag a seat easily. Their pizzas have been pretty consistent over the years and always a good choice. We recently started to branch out and try their other dishes. This last time we got the meatballs and melon plate with prosciutto to start with. Both were good and the melon plate was good but not sure if I would go for it again since it was an interesting mix of fruit and savory items. I also got the That Green Drink cocktail which was a little bit spicy and delicious! I also did the happy hour red wine which wasn't that good but it was HH so didn't expect too much. For my main, I went with the carbonara which I surprisingly liked a lot! It had a great cheesy but lighter sauce and good pieces of peas and thick chunks of bacon Lastly on service, generally very nice waiters but they've had small misses a few times that we came. Like this time they forgot another ingredient that was an add on to one of our dishes and did something similar last time BUT they're good about fixing it quickly so not huge issue

Yelp
We live nearby and decided to order for pick-up. We ordered our food at 4:15pm through the website and scheduled the pick-up for 5:30pm. It was raining a lot so we wanted to give the restaurant enough time to take our order and let us know of any issues. When I came to the restaurant at 5:25pm under heavy rain, the person at the front let us know that they changed their menu and didn't make any of the items we ordered through their website anymore. He offered to take a new order on the spot and wait until it was done. They had 1 hour and 15 minutes to give us a call and take a new order. And they should definitely update their outdated online menu or remove the option to do pick-ups until that's fixed. The person told me they only see the order in their system a few minutes before delivery time. Still, he didn't think of giving us a call as soon as he saw it to skip an unnecessary walk on the rain. When I said the system excuse was not my fault, the answer I got was "it's not mine either". Great way to own your customer service! Not the first bad experience at the restaurant but definitely the worst. Not coming back.

Yelp
I like their pizza! Thin crust and a good temperature even when you do take out. Gorgeous ambiance inside, I imagine their breakfast and happy hour to be quite popular as well. Given their location, I bet the get a lot of foot traffic from the surrounding apartments. Friendly service, I'd recommend their pizza!

Yelp
Local Kitchen has a great happy hour and serves high quality pizzas in the Rincon Hill neighborhood. I've come here for their HH which is from Tues - Sat, 4:00 to 6:00 pm and they have a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and bar bites to choose from. I've also gotten their pizza as takeout and was surprised by how good it was. The crust was perfectly crisp and chewy and they had a good selection of flavors. The truffle fungi and vodka chicken were our favorites. Lastly, service at this restaurant is wonderful. When we came on a Friday evening, we were surprised to see the restaurant completely empty but the staff was still enthusiastic and bubbly!

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were great! We shared the steak, which was cooked and presented beautifully. The sauce was also delicious. We then had the house bread, which I was blown away by. (We took the rest to-go) Lastly we had a local salad, which was also good. It had fresh ingredients and was pretty tasty. I got a mock tail and my partner got a glass of wine. They also give a "locals" discount if you live in the area. I'd recommend this for a date night or a location to wait out traffic.

Yelp
I was in the city with friends on New Year's, and found this Groupon. Soo glad we came here. The restaurant itself is very cool. It has a modern vibe to it. The service was fantastic. I had a blood orange margarita that was really tasty. It had thinly sliced Fresno chilis in it, which gave it just a little hint of heat on the back end. It was so good that I had two. We also had the muscles. They were fantastic. My only complaint with the dish is there were two crostini grilled toast pieces, but for a table of four, they could serve more bread. My husband had cacio de pepe. It looked good and he said it tasted good. The Parmesan truffle fries were just fries. Don't know that I tasted a lot of Parmesan or truffle in there but the fries were good nonetheless. One of our companions had a New York steak on top of broccoli rabe with fingerling roasted potatoes, and lump crab meat. It had a hollandaise or some type of sauce on top of it. It was fantastic. I had the rigatoni Bolognese and I had such a hard time not eating at all. Lol. The sauce was meaty and had great flavor. This was just a nice pasta dish and I would order it again. We had a nice dinner out with four people and we had a Groupon for $150. We all had drinks, 2 appetizers and 3 entree's and ended up only costing an additional $60. This was a great value with fantastic food and I would definitely go back.

Yelp
I've been to this restaurant several times as it is located close by. The people working here are great and the environment is perfect for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. I have tried many of the food items on the menu and everything is just okay - nothing horrible, but nothing that makes you really want to come here either. The salad portion was a decent size, but the dressing was a bit salty. The spicy meat pizza was definitely spicy, but still lacking flavor. The meatballs were okay, but missing that yummy factor, and the grilled chicken served with the linguine was a bit dry. I am really rooting for this restaurant to make some changes to their food prep and dazzle us with their dining options. If that ever happens, I will certainly update my review.

Yelp
I really like this place Great vibes inside, and the food has always been great. I've had pizza, bolognese pasta, and others. All high quality Good service too. Not sure why avg rating here is less than 4. Feels like it should be between 4-4.5 somewhere Maybe a little pricey but fair for the neighborhood

Yelp
Lovely, small neighborhood spot but unfortunately, the food left much to be desired. The burger comes with fries and you get to choose preferred doneness of meat - usually a good sign. I chose medium rare and unfortunately that was a mistake. The patty came out grey and with almost no pink indicating that there was no juiciness and the meat may not have been so fresh. Fries were delicious though and come with ketchup and Mayo on the side. The tiramisu also was a let down - overly mushy cake and barely any espresso flavor. Fortunately service was great with a friendly waiter and water carafes got refilled. Ultimately this place has so much potential but really needs to work on their food.

Yelp
Pizza was mid. Service was solid. Ambience was nice. Overall not the greatest but not bad. Pizza could use more flavor. Definitely try the blood orange cream soda, it's delicious.

Yelp
Great happy hour with lots of food options. Meatballs, truffle fries and pizzas are delicious. Plus, great cocktails and the cheapest (good) draft beers I've seen in ages.

Yelp
We went for brunch on New Year's Day. The food was really good. I had the corned beef hash and I ate literally every bite. It was so delicious. The restaurant is very stylish and modern and the service is impeccable.

Yelp
I've trying out new restaurants with my son lately. He wanted some pizza, so we went to Local kitchen. Our ordered a soup, a salad, and a pizza. The grilled chicken on the Cesar salad was so delicious, and the portion of the salad is huge. The soup was alright, and we built our pizza with chicken sausage, bell pepper, and mushrooms. It was delicious! My son liked it so much that we ordered another pizza to go. I gave it a four star because it was pretty noisy, and I could not even have a conversation with my son.

Yelp
Most amazing brunch I've had in a while. Food and Service are top notch!!! Not shown, the bananas fosters lumpia with mango ice cream

Yelp
Recommended by a friend who recently relocated to SOMA. We sat in their outdoor patio parklet. Note that they are dog friendly so feel free to bring your little pooch. We ate tapas style, so we ordered multiple small plates to share. My friend had been there on several occasions, so I let him do the ordering. We ordered the meatballs, steamed PEI mussels, paparadelle bolognese and woodfired broccoli and for dessert we ordered the zeppoles. WOW...everything was so amazing!! I especially loved the steamed mussels and the grilled bread. We had to ask for more bread to enjoy the broth in the bowl. The pasta and the meatballs were really delicious too. I was already quite full from our dishes, but there is always room for dessert and I couldn't say no to zeppoles. These are deep fried doughy goodness sprinkled with powdered sugar and dipped in chocolate sauce--so good! Definitely worth trying...you won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Yelp
Cocktails were the bomb, burger was delicious, and service was nothing short of great. The only reason they didn't get 5-stars from me is because they only had Tiramisu for dessert and I was really looking forward to the sticky toffee cake.
google avatar

Aditi M.

Yelp
It's a very cute place - comfortable and pretty setting great for lowkey office team lunch. They also serve seasonal mimosas which are not on the menu but if you ask them you might be able to sign up for a wholesome brunch. We ordered shashouka with egg on the side and it was delicious - the bread they served with it was very flavorful and crispy. I got the grapefruit mimosa (a bit bitter) and my friend got the orange mimosa - I'd recommend getting the orange mimosa. We also ordered a cinnamon bun to perfectly balance the flavors of shakshouka. The service and ambiance was delightful - the place wasn't crowded or noisy -- great if you prefer a lowkey Saturday brunch without standing in huge lines.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I leave near by and hadn't stopped in and decided to make an impromptu visit this past week. First impression was the restaurant felt more inviting than I'd thought just walking by it everyday. It's a modern space that still feels warm and welcoming. Staff was very friendly as well. Our server Konstantin was very helpful and communicative. We went with the Spicy Meat Pizza while we dined in and it was ready in a reasonable amount of time. It was quite good. Not too cheesy, not too greasy, and a well balanced flavor profile even with a healthy serving of meat toppings. Personally felt it could have been a tad spicier but everyone's spice tolerance is different. Would definitely order again. Washed the pizza down with the Pear-Sage Local Soda which was surprisingly good. Haven't had many fruit cream sodas and pear is an atypical flavor choice for us - but it was refreshing flavorful without being too powerful. Ordered the Local Pizza to go and stuck it in the fridge to cool. I'm a big cold pizza fan and wanted to see how the pie tasted the next day. Had a few cold slices and reheated a few as well. Overall, was very satisfied - the pizza held up well and was a tasty treat. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. Looking to come back when it gets a bit warmer and dine in the outside seating area. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality bite to eat, great service, and unique environment.

Yelp
Great dog friendly patio in SoMa! It was a great spot to catch up with a friend, and her pup! Margarita pizza was tasty -- the crust is super thin with an airy crust. It still tasted good the next day too! Salad was yummy as well. A tip for parking in downtown: I used Spothero to reserve spots at parking structures.

Yelp
I've been coming here for he last two years, I love it. The food is great. It's reasonably priced. It's right next door. The staff is super friendly to both myself and my dog. I feel they can adjust the timing from fast to leisurely as I need. Great drinks, perfect pizza, the apps amazing! There is even a dog pageant!!! This is a super creative way to bring our community together. I love it, the neighborhood dogs love it, this is a great place to run into your neighbor on the street and go grab a bite or glass of wine impromptu. The only real void on the menu is no chocolate dessert. ( this must change!) I see cool stuff go back for parties that look amazing, I wish some of the stuff would make a guest appearance on the regular menu. There is however a lot of turnover. I think it has to do with the grumpy chef. He is always scowling into his phone. He yelled at my fav. Waitress who was the BEST! and made her leave. Now it kind of feels like a betrayal going there when she's not there. I don't know how you don't know how to keep really great people during such a labor shortage.

Yelp
We made dinner reservations the end of December 2023 for a work event. I chose Local Kitchen due to my own personal experience and desire to support local small businesses in the neighborhood. Based on my dinner experience on February 13, 2024 I will never revisit or recommend Local Kitchen again. The staff and the owners brother were lovely people but simply did not have the capacity to support the volume of business that evening. If we could have requested a different outcome I would have appreciated the curtesy of a call from Local Kitchen to cancel our reservations due to inadequate staff. This gesture would have avoided an embarrassment to myself for recommending the restaurant, the stress imposed on the staff and the now negative reputation of the restaurant. It took 40 minutes to get wine poured and an hour and a half to have dinner served. When the starter came the claim chowder was cold and needed to be resent back to the kitchen. The meals when served were luke warm. The experience up until we finished our dinner was so awful we left cancelling our dessert order. No one in my dinner party wanted to be there a minute longer. We paid a lot of money to dine at Local Kitchen and this was beyond the worst experience I've ever had.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended from a friend because of their $22 bottomless mimosas (cheapest I've seen in San Francisco!) What we ordered: - Shakshouka ($17) - definitely would order again! So yummy!! - Bottomless mimosas ($22) - They offered orange juice, grapefruit, and pineapple juice. The mimosas themselves were actually really good! Service: I'd made reservations for 11:45 am on a Saturday but we didn't need them because there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. We were seated immediately and the service was great! In the reservation, I'd noted that we were celebrating my friend's birthday and they came out with a candle and one of the most delicious apple pastries I've had! I can't wait to return and I definitely recommend for a boozy brunch!

Amilia R.

Yelp
Even though I am from out of town I felt like a local! The service was INCREDIBLE! Ambiance and food delicious. I will be back.

Yelp
I've been here a bunch of times for dinner. Recently came here for brunch and it was solid! They had a special this weekend - Red velvet waffles topped with creme brûlée and berries, and it exceeded our expectations. Definitely a must try, if it happens to be on the daily specials menu. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was also pretty good. It wasn't crowded on a saturday afternoon so a very convenient spot for a walk in brunch, you won't needed a reservation

Yelp
This is an amazing place, you definitely have to check it out. The decor and vibe is perfect, I sat at the bar which was beautiful and welcoming. I started with the Local chopped salad and it exceeded my expectations, super fresh with crisp greens and olives. The main was incredible; Cacio e Pepe- wow tender chicken and freshly made pasta. The chicken was a perfect add and cooked so well I ate it all! The pasta was tender and fresh. They went above and beyond in recommending a wine and letting me try a splash to taste it. Come here! Super friendly staff. Great service and beautiful atmosphere. I will be back!

Yelp
My first time at Local Kitchen was so much more than I anticipated. It's evident both the chef, Manny, and manager, Marshall, are committed to creating a beautiful and delicious culinary experience for the customer. Just like M&M's they are a fan favorite and you can't have one without the other. The Pan Seared Salmon is one of the best I've ever had. And, the tiramisu is a must for dessert! Thank you Marshall for making my experience at Local Kitchen the 1st of many more to come!

Yelp
I have to admit, super weird name. I'm pretty sure it shows up as some thing different on Google maps versus yelp, versus the sign outside of the restaurant LOL so it was pretty tricky to find in the beginning. All that aside, the pizza is incredible! We ordered two pizzas for the table, one with fresh arugula and veggies, garlic, basically deliciousness. A second one was for all the meat lovers. It had chicken, and basically was a supreme style pizza with meat and veggies. The cocktails are also really delicious and unique! I don't remember the name of my cocktail, but it had saffron in it and it had the perfect amount of kick.

Yelp
Local kitchen is a place where we used to go to all the time. We always do pizza takeout, happy hour, and sometimes brunch with bottomless mimosas. We would eat everything we ordered, down to the little bits. Food was so good. However, they changed the pizza dough just a few weeks ago, and the way they make their pizza. There is a huge amount of crust and it tasted bitter, burnt, and not as good as the original dough we had about a month ago. When we went to go pick up our pizza, we saw a family of 4 with a pile of crust piled up on their table. I thought it was strange at that time but now I get it... wish I had snuck a photo of that while I was there. I would not recommend getting any of their pizza unless you are okay with throwing your pizza crust away. Also, their bottomless mimosas increased from $22 to $30. Not really that great of an option where there are other places around town with better food selections and drinks. I'm so bummed about the pizza crust and dough. Would happily try this place again once they bring their original recipe back.

Yelp
My experience here was a solid 4 Star experience. The food and preparation was stellar. The wait staff was polite and particularly helpful and professional. It was Mothers Day and they put us into the small room adjacent to the bar. It was cozy and quiet and it allowed us family time and conversation. Our mothers were extremely pleased. The food was delicious and extremely well prepared. Quite frankly, the level of preparation and presentation deserves higher pricing. I my opinion, it's that good! It's hard to say anything is 5 Stars. I mean, that's perfect in every way. My only cause to not rate it slightly higher is that we felt slightly forgotten in the private room. Maybe is was a staff shortage? Don't really know. I will definitely come back for the French Toast. It was divine!

Yelp
An underrated GEM! Came here for dinner and had the best experience. The interiors are drop dead gorgeous with the right ambiance - intimate but still cool. Servers were extremely friendly. The food was amazing. Their menu is eclectic and you can get a bit of every cuisine. And more importantly it's all executed well. The food: Wild Mushroom Pizza - 5/5 AMAZING. The flavor of the wild mushrooms paired with creamy cheese is to die for. Beet Salad - 5/5 beautiful presentation. Everything is super fresh. Kerala Yellow Style Curry - 5/5 Insane!! A must-try and it's not too heavy with tofu!! Seriously I can't describe how rich and lovely the Thai style curry flavor was. Singapore Chicken Rice - I did not try any but from opinions around the table it seemed pretty good. It's also a great environment for wine or cocktails. Their wine selection is super impressive. This place is a must-try!

Yelp
The server was nice, but the food could use some proper inspiration from Italian cooks. The ambiance is great, but again, more experienced Italian cooks, not Hispanic cooks.

Yelp
We were in town just for a stop over and staying at the nearby Clancy Hotel so decided to give this place a try. Really relaxed and welcoming vibe to the place. Service is really good which is a rare thing in the city ( if you have ever spent time here you know the service is pretty bad at most places) Food was good and my guess is they will do their best to make any of their menu items just how you want them. Go give it a try I am betting you will be glad you did!

Yelp
Just OK. ---Service--- My group of 5 arrived staggered and were there to catch up. My friend and I arrived eight minutes before the end of HH and the host assumes that we didn't want the HH. Wrong assumption. We ordered HH in those next eight minutes. The bar service was just ok. The vibe was off and not super friendly and just not very comfortable in general. I didn't say anything to my friends, but two of them made separate comments about the same. We had to sit at the bar and with our HH which was socially awkward, but fine we made that conscious decision to get the HH dishes. We did stay for a while and I would never expect service forever. However, over the course of our visit, my friends ordered four beers each and two in and having finished my own food, my water glass was empty. For a while. Being the tiny person I am, I was not about to order more alcohol, so chose to sit at the bar with an empty glass of water while my friends continued to eat and drink. ---Food--- The HH food was elevated and delicious! I ordered the sliders 2/$10 and a sparkling wine. $23 total. They didn't have an oaky chard on the HH menu, but I'm glad the server gave us that heads up before I ordered. TLDR; ----- Food and overall ambiance of the restaurant was great, but service was meh. They also have several private rooms and are located in a great area, I would have loved to do a networking event here.

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times and the Kerala chicken and Salmon entrees are uhmazing; the pizzas are pretty good too. Ambience is nice, service is great. Outdoor seating is lovely and it has heaters. Not too difficult to get space but they take reservations too which is perfect. I wondered why the low rating for this place and I may have figured it out - Take out / delivery seems to be an after thought. The meal I got when I ordered home was a little soggy, bland and tiny. Step up the take out game and take my full 5 stars. Certainly worth an in-person visit! Great date spot too.

Yelp
On a Wednesday night it wasn't crowded and I was able to eat inside. Upon arrival, they check your temperature. The staff were super sweet. I like how they said they wanted us to relax and enjoy the food. They ask you keep your mask on wheh interacting with staff. I asked staff for recommendations for drinks, & he recommended the tequila one. Started off with chicken satay, which was really good with the peanut sauce. Next ordered the local pizza small size. It was enough or more for two people. I really liked the texture of crust& the flavors of the pizza. I always have room for dessert, so ordered the donuts. The donuts were crispy and not to sweet, especially with the chocolate drizzle. Honestly a great experience because of the way the staff had treated us.

Yelp
Wow just got to SF yesterday and we are lucking out with great restaurants. The wait staff is friendly and good. We have a party of four. We shared everything. We started with the meatballs and brussel sprout salad. We also shared the spicy meat pizza, sausage pepperoni za and the cocia e pepe pasta with chicken. Also the presentation of the drinks is perfect and tasty. I would come back here! Your yum!

Yelp
Okay, so this place deserves another review. I was back last weekend with my friends only because we live across the street and wanted to go somewhere close by. Because of my last experience i had written this place off (which i was sad about because i have been coming here since 2016) but we came here and had an experience completely opposite of my last horrible experience. We ordered a pitcher of French 75, dessert, and the Mushroom Truffle pizza. The pizza was SOO good, i think we all are craving another round of that same pizza this weekend. The French 75 was perfectly made, and the service from Rebecca and Chriselda was on point. They acknowledged my disappointment and terrible service from the previous time and went out of their way to keep me coming back. Most places could care less but the staff here definitely cared to retain me as a customer and were very sweet and apologetic about my last experience several times. That made my day because this is one of my favorite local brunch spots. Let's hope to see the same level of experience moving forward with quality and service. Then i'll add the extra star next time. Every place deserves another chance! Thank you Local for acknowledging my disappointment and for making an effort to fix it. That is called a good staff!

Yelp
This spot is definitely convenient if you live in the area, but I would not travel from far away just to dine here. Most of the food items are pretty good, but do expect to wait even if you ordered something that could be made quickly--especially on a day with a game in the city. It is also relatively expensive.

Yelp
Solid 4 stars. Place was empty on a Sunday at noon which is a shame because the space is beautiful and the food very good. I had biscuits and Turkey gravy which was delicious and salty and much enjoyed. It was however warm and not hot. My partner had a wild mushroom toast dish with poached eggs that was great. This place should be packed for brunch and I would definitely return.

Yelp
Years ago, when this restaurant first opened, they were pretty good, but they've never been consistently good. They managed to survive the pandemic and now are heavily promoting themselves and I thought I'd try their "2 for the price of 1" pizza offer tonight. I live across the street from the restaurant and arrive at 15min sharp from when I was told the pizza could be picked up. I got home just a few minutes later, after paying, opened the boxes, served myself a slice of each pizza... then bit into the dryest and hardest re-heated and clearly non-freshly made pizza I've EVER had! The pizzas were awful - both of them! - what a waste of $40 for dinner! How does this place survive?...
