"If you’re in South of Fifth and would rather sit down somewhere that won’t require you to take out a loan, Lolo’s is a good option. There’s a little outdoor patio and a nice-looking dining room with comfortable booths and a lovely pink/green tile floor. The food is standard Mexican and while there’s no must-order, just keep it simple with a few tacos, guacamole to share, and some margaritas if you’re in the mood." - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
Lolo’s: Amazing Tacos, Perfect Location, Room for Improvement Lolo’s delivers spectacular food, fantastic service, and a prime location that makes it worth a visit. The Mexican street tacos and birria were simply wonderful—fresh, flavorful, and everything you’d hope for in authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant’s location adds to its charm, but the signage to find it could definitely be better—it’s easy to miss. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were a letdown and didn’t match the quality of the rest of the experience. Despite these minor issues, Lolo’s is a great spot for taco and birria lovers. With a few tweaks, it could go from great to exceptional.

Google
Excellent food. I ordered the Baja water drink and that was excellent. The mix of tequila, mezcal and pineapple juice with whatever made it turquoise was very nice. Server was rushing us a bit for no reason maybe he thought i didn’t have money. Great vibe otherwise though. The location is nice and the beach is a 1 minute walk.

Google
I made reservations based on good Google reviews but felt disappointed by the overall experience. Upon sitting down, the server was helpful to suggest the guac and chips to start before we even set eyes on the menu. Of course that sounded great and we were exhausted after a long travel day so we agreed, but wished we had the chance to look at the menu first. The server was on top of everything, friendly, and didn’t hesitate to upsell us on everything. A sparkling limeade that would’ve costed $5 according to the menu ended up being $8 with all the fancy upgrades and tweaks that I was upsold. I commend her for her skill! The guacamole and chips were good, but for $17, the chip ratio was low and costed another $2 for extra chips. The portion of the chilaquiles were good, but it was really salty and the chips mushy. Though there was an 18% auto service grat, we were asked to add on more tip.

Google
@lolosmiami dinner, I think the first night we were here. The food was amazing. Our server was so sweet. We got poured on and ran through the rain. It was a good night. I've miss my sweet girl and this time together has been such a blessing PESCADO FRITO Whole snapper, grilled scallions, grilled cebollitas, frisee herb salad, avocado, blanched salsa verde, pico de gallo HAMACHI AGUACHILE Rojo tradito, serrano peppers, red onions, cilantro, sesame seeds, blue corn tortilla chips KALE CAESAR SALAD Romaine, kale, crispy garbanzo beans, tomatoes, creamy parmesan dressing

Google
Nice little restaurant right next to the beach. We liked the food here better than the other restaurants we tried on South Beach. The atmosphere was very cozy with Mexican vibes.

Denise Martinez

Google
It was truly wonderful food, we came two days in a row because it was just that good. Food is definitely a little pricey but still cheaper than most restaurants in Miami. Portions are small on appetizers and tacos but they are delicious nonetheless. Our server was Fuwa, very sweet lady. Atmosphere is chill and relaxed.

Google
We went for breakfast at Lolo’s Surf Cantina and were very pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty and very generous with the proportion. I strongly recommend the French toast, which was incredible - crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was pretty nice, a blend of old diner and Mexico which I found lovely.

Google
This place ended my search for a dessert and included happy hour. I was greeted by the lovely Michelle . Her beautiful smile and pleasant welcome made my first visit here great. You must have the corn cake !

Jess S.

Yelp
Food is good, service is good, and the vibe is very chill but nice. I hope others find this place because it should be popular!

Michael L.

Yelp
Excellent but definitely overpriced - pregame your alcohol before going All the food is excellent authentic flavorful & TASTY

Yelp
First morning in south beach this place is part of the Marriott! Food was good! Blood Mary was better! We ate there a couple of mornings! Service was great for us but another server was really rude to customer that asked about their food. The ambiance, was a tropical hippie surfer vibe! I would go back!

Lauren R.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was tasty. We ordered chips and salsa, a grilled chicken burrito, avocado tacos, sparkling mango limeade & hibiscus agua fresca. It was a nice stop after a long walk from South Pointe. The waitress was friendly! The inside was so nicely decorated and clean. My only qualm was the poor air circulation inside and leaving smelling like food.

Claire S.

Yelp
Decent sized restaurant located in the Stanton hotel. Went for breakfast before heading out to the pool. The best breakfast burrito I had EVER had. Cheese, black beans, rice, egg and bacon. It was cooked perfectly and so tasty. The tater tots were also delicious. It came with all the perfect sauces on the side - ketchup, salsa and salad dressing for the side salad. My boyfriend got the avocado toast and also really enjoyed it. However the avocado toast was just as expensive as the burrito. You get way more food for the money with the burrito. Only giving it a 4 because I wish the service was a tad bit faster. We sat for a little while before someone took our order. However once we ordered, the food was ready fairly quickly!

Shana L.

Yelp
Slow service even though there were only two tables occupied. Just ok quality food was way overpriced. I asked the manager for clarification about my bill due to the cost. She was rude and raised her voice at me. As someone else mentioned, you will pay an 18 percent service fee before tip. It's obvious they don't care about customers so spend your money elsewhere.

Poonam H.

Yelp
Delicious Cantina food with wonderful staff. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Efficient and very professional service

Leo K.

Yelp
18% service fee charged for a takeout order without notification. Person taking our order was rude when we asked about it. I would have tipped some regardless (although completely not necessary for a quick takeout order when the place is empty) but to levy an automatic 18% is absurd. Plenty of other places here to patron.

Joycelyn C.

Yelp
We ran into Lolo's as we took a break to get coffee before dinner on day 2 (walking from the Art Deco Museum on 10th street down to 1st street). We stopped by for their happy hour special. We got chips and salsa and a fish taco. My sister and I also tried a couple of their happy hour drinks. They had outdoor seating, but we decided to sit inside at the bar to stay cooler in our "little black dresses" for dinner time. We had a way fun bartender and found out she had a birthday recently too. She made up a shot on the fly just for our (my sister's and my) birthday! It was the best shot! We ended up going back yesterday to hang out with our bartender on last time on our last day. I tried a couple of other tacos too (birria and chicken tinga). Everything was so good!

Jim R.

Yelp
Lolo's is attached to the Stanton Marriott in South Beach where we stay when we visit Miami. Since the Stanton Marriott did away with the Concierge lounge a few years ago, this restaurant is where you have breakfast as part of your Elite benefits. It also provides food and drinks via servers who work the pool and beach for the Marriott. They also serve lunch and dinner with Happy Hour specials and Taco Tuesday specials. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is hit or miss from the standpoint of how long it takes to get your food regardless of the number of patrons in the restaurant. Not sure if it's the takeout orders or just the proficiency of the kitchen that impacts the timing. We have gone to Happy hour and had dinner on occasion especially if it's raining out or wanting a quick bite before heading to the airport. The mixed drinks could probably use a little more alcohol but we have left the bar with a buzz, albeit after spending $100 at the bar. Food is good, would say average Mexican street fare. Their hot salsa is outstanding though. Lolo's works in a pinch or for convenience but there are more and better options on SoBe.

Tanya S.

Yelp
Love this place!!! the drinks and food are amazing. happy hour selection and prices for Miami Beach are super cheap. they even do beach bed service and the delivery and presentation is 5 star

Terry W.

Yelp
The Cantina is located in The Marriott Stanton South Beach. Although, I did not dine instead de the Cantina, as they provided pool and beach service to it's patrons. Pool side was my choice and why not, beautiful weather, sun was out, who wants to be with snide when you have a pool and perfect weather conditions. The wait staff was absolutely great. They were friendly, talkative and had great smiles. They were attentive to your needs, followed up and took away the empty cups , or whatever was left over. The food portions were great, more than I could eat. They did have a nice terrace overlooking the pool and view of the ocean. Great service, drinks, ambience, location and especially the wait staff. They made it very special.

Paula C.

Yelp
Super cute little restaurant in South Beach. Definitely gives full on So-Cal vibes. The service was good and so were the happy hour deals! The back little patio is so nice and relaxing to sit on after a day at the beach. The house margarita was so good and they put a tajin rim on it when I asked. The chips and salsa were good as well. The server asked if I wanted spicy salsa or mild and I asked for spicy which turned out to be the green salsa, I guess the red one is mild. Next time I will ask for both. The menu looked delicious but I did not get to try anything else. I will be back one day to try one of their bowls that sound delicious! I will say the items on the menu, specifically the tacos, did look a little overpriced but I guess it is part of the great location. The back patio was a little dirty and disorganized but other than this it was a nice experience!

Joyce C.

Yelp
Super close to the beach and the food is not bad at all. I was expecting more people to be there on a Saturday night but it seems like everyone else was eating Ocean Drive instead. Regardless, that meant faster service for us and no need to wait too long. I had their quesadilla as well as the baja fish taco and mexican street taco. They look small, but the amount of filling was more than enough. The food here is delicious and I wish it had more recognition! One thing that disappointed me was that I really wanted their horchata but it seems like they had run out that night, which was a bummer.

Natalie B.

Yelp
Awesome food, great drinks, and amazing service from Michelle! Had the avocado tacos, highly recommend! Mangonado (or passionato) drink was perfect with the tacos! Husband had the fish tacos - he says they were delicious! The purple pickled onions on top looked incredible! Come here and ask to sit with Michelle, she makes the best food suggestions (especially for us vegetarians!)

Sarah L.

Yelp
Automatic 18% tip on takeout. They didn't even offer us water or put utensils in the bag. And they food wasn't even good.

Alex K.

Yelp
Lolo's has fantastic food. It is very flavorful and filling. I went here three days in a row and the food was always great. However, the food takes a long time to come out and the service from day-to-day got progressively worse. In terms of the food, I got the eggs benedict and the avocado toast. Both had a lot of flavor. The eggs benedict had a twist with a nice chorizo-like meat. The avocado toast was light but filling. In terms of the service, the servers got progressively worse from day-to-day in terms of coming to the table, checking-in and having an attitude while taking the order. Additionally, the restaurant never had more than 5 tables of people while I was there, but the food always took at least 35-40 minutes to come out. This might be attributed to the fact that the restaurant serves the hotel, hotel pool and the hotel beach. So, I would make sure you have time if you decide to eat here. Overall, Lolo's Surf Cantina is a good place to go for a good meal with anyone but make sure you have time as it may take a while to get your food.

Catrina B.

Yelp
Great spot, great food! Everything is made fresh in house. The chips and salsa were nice and crunchy with that fresh taste! I had a chicken tinga burrito and it was great. The service was good, prices a little high but it's South Beach! The atmosphere was spot on. The place is clean and has a great vibe. Only thing is I wish they carried Mexican Coke. They are a Pepsi brand carrier. Yuck! But honestly I can't find any legit complaints. Give them a try. You know I'm not a big five star giver but they earned it. Enjoy... go for a walk on the beach afterwards it's literally right out the door.

Angela C.

Yelp
This place was okay. We went because we got free drinks from our hotel and it was lunch and we were hungry. The chips and salsa were pretty good, the margaritas were good but on the smaller side, maybe because they were free. The carne asada tacos were okay but left a weird film in your mouth. The bean tacos tasted good but seemed as though the beans came out of a can. The bowel with shrimp and veggies was probably the best of all of our dishes. Service was pretty slow and it's freezing inside, being a sweater, towel, blanket, something!

Maureen R.

Yelp
I'm a local and never have I've been in a restaurant in South Beach were everyone was nice, welcoming, and attentive. The tacos were delicious. My favorites were the birria, fish, and avocado. The service from our bartender Roberto was excellent. Despite being busy and pulled in multiple directions he handled it all with a huge smile on his face. Will definitely be back!

Otty B.

Yelp
I ordered takeout to be delivered to room. Trusting the reviews. It's was not what we expected. Thank you

Denise T.

Yelp
We found this place when looking for a breakfast spot open early. We were seated inside and looked over the menu. The breakfast menu only had mimosas and bloody marys listed for alcoholic drinks. We asked the nice server if there were any other options as we see they have a full bar. She said no, only those two to pick from. I ordered a mimosa and we decided to split a breakfast sandwich and a side of bacon since neither of us were super hungry and we were just waiting to be able to check in to our hotel. The menu is pretty small so there weren't that many things to pick from for the breakfast. Their menu for dinner and happy hour seemed to have much more of a variety. The mimosa came out and it was just a flute. Small drink for $9 if you ask me, but I guess it is Miami Beach. The bacon was cooked well and the breakfast sandwich was good and pretty filling. Overall it was a decent place to stop for a quick bite. I would come back to try the dinner menu sometime, but for breakfast it is pretty limited.

Sergio F.

Yelp
For a touristy spot in Ocean Drive, the mojito was surprisingly strong and well blended!. I went close to closing time (9PM) after my Sunday chill at South Pointe and catching up with friends, and thankfully the manager stepped up with service. The place is tucked away to the back entrance of the Marriott on 1st and Ocean, and the dim lighting gives it a cool dive bar feel. They also have a few tables outside. Besides the aforementioned, well blended mojito, I started with their (not complimentary) chips and salsa. The chips had a decent crisp and the sauce enough of a bite. The black bean taco had a decent sprinkling of cotija cheese and a rich black bean paste. It was a tasty vegetarian bite! Since I love cows medium well :) I ordered their churrasco burrito. The steak had a yummy smoky flavor and a good enough helping of meat. The cilantro and cheese was tasty as well. All in all, I'd recommend for a quick bite off the beach or casual dinner.

Andrea M.

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch right at 11a during the week and were told food wouldn't be ready for 45 minutes because they had just finished serving breakfast. Not a huge deal, we grabbed drinks and some chips & salsa. I got the Baja fish bowl and my husband got the Birria tacos - honestly the best meal I had while in Miami! Amazing flavor, great portion size! Our waitress was very friendly! The only complaint I would have is that we were not told that a bottle of sparkling water cost $10. We were offered tap or sparkling when we sat down without menus so we didn't know there was a charge. We were almost done with the bottle before we saw it on the menu, insane amount of money for a bottle of water, but it is Miami so lesson learned.

K. F.

Yelp
Salsa tastes tomato sauce mixed with maybe some Tostito brand salsa dip. The chorizo and potato taco had no flavor at all. I ordered a street taco with carnita meat and it was filled with fat and the meat tasted weird. Nothing was edible for me. But the waiter was nice and removed the charges from our tab. My husband liked the shrimp tacos. I would never eat here again.

Whitney R.

Yelp
Staying at the Marriott Stanton hotel. Was hungry after our flight and not eating all day and of course, Lolo's was convenient. I had a frozen lime margarita which was good. We still have the card for 2 free margs so we will grab those before we leave. We started off with the fries and chips and salsa. Fries were tasty! Chips and salsa were good but not sure it was worth $5 .. could be that in used to getting free chips and salsa at Mexican restaurants. Lol For food - my boyfriend had the Barbacoa sandwich and I had the mahi mahi burrito bowl. Boyfriend said the sandwich was great. He wasn't a fan of the fries without the cheese because they have that crispy texture (they tasted fine to me). My bowl was pretty good. I didn't eat all the spring greens. Gratuity / service charge of 18% was added.

Joseph H.

Yelp
The restaurant is behind Starbucks. Just walk along the park. I had a hard time finding it. Overall a really good meal. I had the chicken burrito. The rice and beans were good, chicken had a good flavor and the tortilla was nice and warm. Overall a great meal. The service was top quality. They took care of me and allowed me to sit on the patio to watch my bike. It is a nice place too. Overall a great fine and good food.

Ashley B.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel attached to Lolos and got a 15$ breakfast credit every day and it was the BEST breakfast in Miami. We got the poached egg avocado toast every single day (6 days in a row!!!). It was made to perfection and the toast was so fresh and thickly cut, able to hold both egg yolks perfectly and the salad on the side was so refreshing. Coffee was delicious as well. Service was very fast, and the place is set up super cute and right next to the beach so great location

Albert K.

Yelp
- quick service - excellent Horchata - chips and salsa on the menu say $5, but if you order 2 salsas, it's $4 the salsas and $2 for chips ($6) - burrito was pretty good; fish wasn't too soft/hard, and the hot sauce was great with it - auto 18% gratuity (it's on the itemized receipt, but NOT on the signing receipt!) Overall, large overall venue to fit big parties.

Vicky P.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour and the drinks were great! Affordable and yummy. Definitely recommend getting the guac and chips during happy hour too.

Jakob R.

Yelp
It is a nice place for breakfast. Nobody will stay hungry as the dishes are really massive. It is just a little chilly inside. But you can also have a seat outside. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Jess H.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after a full day at the beach and let me tell you what, it certainly hit the spot for our evening cravings. It was tucked away a little bit down the beach but when we came across the fun looking exterior we knew we had to come in. This place has such a fun decor and personality, I felt like most of my pictures taken here was of the decor! At the time we came in it was fairly quiet but our service was good, the food was good, and we left happy! What more can you really ask for? They did have some issues with availability for beers but we switched up our order instead - easy fix and no real sweat off our backs! The price felt good for what we received (minus the salsa and chips appetizer) but also for the location all things considered.

Eva C.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday evening. Just got a quick snack after the beach. Quesadillas were good but they were out of churros which was upsetting nice beachy ambience would maybe want to go during the day awful service, though I think our servers name was Belen, but she wanted absolutely nothing to do with us, and was extremely unhelpful.

Claudia P.

Yelp
Ronnie is so awesome! He made our experience so enjoyable and always ensured our table was taken care of. He's the reason we come back to Lolo's! He deserves a raise!!!

Susan B.

Yelp
We were greeted warmly by Vernon when we arrived. He explained the menu items and offered suggestions. The Cantina was warm and inviting. The food was delicious! Everything was made fresh and homemade. We would definitely highly recommend Lolo's.

Fernando E.

Yelp
This Cantina transport you to a place that you do t want to leave. The food and service are excellent. The ambiance is one of my favorite ones ever. The location is perfect, and the decor is just right. I totally recommend this Cantina for a perfect afternoon at Miami Beach.

Steve M.

Yelp
So while in town I was referred to Lolo's by the staff at the Marriott. Mrs. D. was behind the bar and made me feel welcome and she suggested what I may like for dinner. I took her suggestion and had a margarita and was not disappointed. The next night was Taco Tuesday, 1/2 price, and I had 4 different styles and I found the spicy shrimp and the pork were the best. Just my opinion. Fast forward to tonight and Mrs. D. was working again on Taco Tuesday and she hooked us up with her usual smile, energy and knowledge of the menu and mixology of libations. I will make a point of stopping in from now on for a great dinner and drinks. Enjoy. Moose

Shirley D.

Yelp
Food is always delicious., ambience is great and especially the service is awesome!! It was Roberto the bartender who assisted us with the food and drinks. He recommended us the Avobeer which it turned out to be light and refreshing! Great vibes and service always!

Emily G.

Yelp
Our experience here was awesome! The chicken tinga burrito bowl was delicious and our server, Diego, was excellent. Highly recommend!

Paul F.

Yelp
Great food but the service is terrible. Ambiance is fun with locals and tourists for happy hour. They could be a little more generous with the chips in their appetizers. Waitstaff seems confused and unfamiliar with their menu.

Tyler J.

Yelp
Belem is an angel. Service is fantastic and the food is even better. I found the love of my life.

Monika C.

Yelp
Food and drinks were great! Diego was amazing at getting us everything quickly and making sure we had everything we needed!

Oliver P.

Yelp
This place is becoming so terrible. A small chip and guacamole for $17? Waited for 50 minutes for the food for lunch? And there is hardly anyone in the restaurant. We live here and have been coming here, but it is so bad now that we will not be coming back. This place would be out of business if they don't have the beach.

Lauren D.

Yelp
Another great taco place!! Lolos is a great spot for a post-beach margy/ taco for sure. The horchata here is actually the best I've ever had I'd say! Strong notes of cinnamon which is a must. Really enjoyed the carne asada taco, the cod was good but the shrimp taco was probably my favorite (it had agave bbq sauce, pickled onion and spicy shrimp ). I actually used the birria taco sauce for my carne asada and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the passion fruit margarita and watermelon margarita; both well-balanced in terms of fruit and tequila distribution. Service was decent, no complaints. Ambiance was great for a post/pre beach outing!

Zee S.

Yelp
Molly was our server today! We really enjoyed our drinks, she's the sweetest! Her customer service is amazing! Will be returning! :)

Angel Y.

Yelp
We went here twice when staying at the hotel. I enjoyed the food each time I go there. I ordered all the seafood and meat tacos, and I love then all. They were Fresh and flavorful and the protein were perfect cooked . My bf ordered all the vegetarian options, but he did not like any of the vegetarian burgers and tacos, except for the vegetarian wrap. And one thing, we both loveee their salsa for the chips. Overall, best time to come here for the Taco Tuesday, it's worth the price compare to all the other pricy restaurants nearby the beach area. And the food and services are good except for vegetarian option.

Alexi S.

Yelp
Went there for a dinner with the family service was slow. Drinks took about almost an hour to get to everyone and food was okay at best. Nice place needs better service to move up a star

kyle p.

Yelp
Im surprised at many of these other reviews. The service there is great, very friendly. The food was not good at all.My tacos game out with a foul smell and also cold. I would only recommend getting a drink.

Sarah P.

Yelp
Lolo's is situated right near the Stanton Hotel in Miami beach. We had beach side service of lolo's and it was pretty decent. The fries were really good and the burgers we tried were their beef burger and the vegetarian based one. Both were pretty decent. Their mojito and pina colada cocktails also pack a punch.
