Lord Stanley is a chic, bi-level eatery where Californian flair meets European elegance, serving inventive dishes in a sun-soaked setting.
"A fine dining restaurant in San Francisco known for its Michelin-starred cuisine, including a popular cabbage with buttermilk sauce. It transitioned to a concept called Turntable by Lord Stanley, hosting visiting chefs before returning to its original concept." - Paolo Bicchieri

"Lord Stanley is a Nob Hill restaurant with a hit-or-miss rotating seasonal, French-ish menu. The $60 three-course and $100 ten-course menus have their moments—a crème fraîche-drenched crab dip is luxurious with a capital L—but other dishes, like the take on cioppino, are one-note. Still, if you’re in the area and have a corporate card to use, the candlelit dining room with big windows overlooking Broadway is a pleasant setting for a meal. For something more casual, they also have a neon pink takeout window with a fish fillet sandwich and a simple, excellent smashburger. photo credit: Zaira Asis Food Rundown Menu De Luxe The more expensive tasting menu option (there's also a $60 Menu du Jour with three courses) is mixed. Some courses, like the crab dip or shrimp roll on toasty milk bread, are great. Others, like the fish-and-chips plate, fall flat. photo credit: Julia Chen Smashburger This is a burger done right. The wagyu patty is tender with caramelized edges, and the layer of onions and pickles underneath lends a pleasant crunch. Fish Fillet Sandwich You’ll need an inch-high stack of napkins to finish this one, but it’s well worth the smear of tartar you’ll find soaked into your sleeve in an hour." - Julia Chen
