Delicious barbacoa , expect long queues of more than an hour. Come hungry and please make sure you order the consommé ! The lamb could do with better seasoning. A must if you are into barbacoa

Best barbacoa!!! It's crowded and the service is terrible but still, 5 stars for the food. Absolutely amazing! There's live music too on Sundays.

AMAZING BARBACOA! No need to travel to Texcoco when you have a Gem like this one close by! Meat melts in your moth, flavor is 10 out of 10 , Great customer service, they really take care of you and all the food is made in front of you! Can't wait to come back.

Tienen un sistema completamente incómodo para los clientes; primero esperas a que te asignen una mesa, nadie te dice como es el sistema, después tienes que pararte a hacer fila para comprar lo que vas a comer y por lo menos a mí me tomó 25 minutos llegar para pedir un plato de chicharrón guisado. Me queje en el lugar pero obviamente no les importó. Cómo turista del norte, tanto el sistema que manejan aquí, como la atención a la opinión del usuario, es totalmente inaceptable. Mi mejor recomendación para quienes visitamos la ciudad de México, del norte, no vengan a este lugar, porque solo harán corajes

Stopped by here on my last day in CDMX and have to say it was possibly the best mexican food I had. There were many different cuts for the barbacoa, from back to shoulder to ribs to loin and others. My friend and I ordered 500g lamb shoulder and 250 g ribs. The butcher even let us sample the shoulder before trying it to ensure we were ok ordering a big portion before doing so. Excellent service. He even threw in a bit of meat from the knee for us since it was our first time here! The lamb shoulder was incredibly juicy and tender. The meat was marbled and it didn't feel like any piece was just pure fat. Fattier areas melted into each taco I made and just added flavor to every bite. The ribs were fall off the bone and even more marbled than the shoulder. You could chew the meat with just your tongue and palate it was that soft. It comes with blue or regular tortillas (you can request blue), salsas, onion/cilantro, and even drinks! The blue tortillas feel softer to me with more flavor and I requested those. The jamaica was excellent and the waitress was pretty attentive. The inside was loud and festive with the Mirachi band but eveyrone was enjoying themselves. You cannot compare hidalguense to this: I almost feel like Netflix just didn't come here and/or rated based only on how fancy the interior looked. If you are eating barbacoa once in Mexico please trust me: this is the one to hit. It is well worth the extra distance. No meal worms or ant larvae but instead a major focus on excellent tender, juicy barbacoa

Fantastic experience. No English spoken so thankfully set menu for one person on a sign made it easy to order by pointing. The barbacoa pulled straight from pit is fantastic. No connective tissue left, just so moist and flavorful. Consommé also fantastic with onion, potato, and chickpeas. Live music made it festive too.
