16 Premier Wineries With Excellent Food in Napa Valley

"The historic Louis M. Martini — it was one of the first wineries to open in Napa Valley after Prohibition — offers a diverse array of wine and food experiences. Led by executive chef Aaron Meneghelli, tastings come with an optional food pairing, such as the Crown Collection Experience ($125 for flight and pairing, Wednesday through Sunday). The two-hour Outdoor Cabana Tasting ($225, available seasonally, Thursday to Sunday) is perfect for a small group (10 people max) to lounge in the cabana for two hours while sipping wines and noshing on Italian dishes. Lastly, for $325 per person, head down to the 85-year-old underground cellar lined with giant redwood casks for a multi-course wine and food adventure." - Dianne de Guzman, Laura Smith Borrman, Eater Staff

We came here with a large party for wine tasting and had an amazing experience. When I first stepped foot inside the winery, my eyes were pleasantly surprised by the interior decor. This spot looks aesthetic and also has an elegance feeling to it. Service was top tier and very courteous. The guy who poured wine for our group was very knowledgeable about the wines involved and gave us recommendations on how to best enjoy the wine. It's crazy how wine tastes so different alone versus with a board of charcuterie. I can really taste the different blends in the wines. All of the wines I've tried here were memorable and good. I could really taste the uniqueness in each wine that I've tried. I would highly recommend booking a wine tasting here!

Google
Absolutely incredible experience! My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and were thrilled with our tasting. Natalia was such a kind, knowledgeable wine educator who made us feel right at home. The cabs we tried were some of the best we’ve ever had. This is a MUST in Napa!

Google
Is it possible to give 7 stars? It’s definitely worth it. This winery is really combine the best of both world- tradition and modern. Rich history of the winery with brand new design of the entire winery brings a unique experience that other vineyards can’t provide here. You will be amazed by how meticulous design of the architecture and landscape at first, then you meet the staff here that is equally amazing. We are lucky to have Owen to show us around and the conversation about wine is not like others. It’s a different level. Owen made our day by his depth of knowledge and mostly his passion for wine. We get to taste some of the best wine while gaining insight in Napa. What a special experience we had. It will definitely be one of the most memorable wine tour we did.

Google
Riley and Klaus could not have been better hosts to our Wine tasting! It was like we were in a Masterclass…the wines were so amazing that we got a membership and their portfolio blew our minds! Def go!!!!

Google
Walked in and did a tasting at the bar with Klaus. We loved him and the wines. Bought some to go too. Plus some gear. Klaus was smart and patient. Gave us a few other wines to taste too. Overall, a top 3 favorite of all the tastings we did.

Shawn Thomas

Google
Did the underground cellar tasting with multiple course meal and it was absolutely phenomenal. I brought a bottle out of my wine library, 1968, and it showed fantastic. The service, the food, and the ambience was second to none. Highly recommend.

Google
We visited several wineries on a recent trip to Napa Valley but Louis M Martini was definitely the best! Great wines and cheeses in a beautiful setting with impeccable service. Doesn't get much better than that! Many thanks to our host Klaus for his outstanding hospitality - it was a day we will remember for years to come. Next time we come back, we will be requesting Klaus again!

Google
Amazing experience! My partner and I scheduled the Taste of Martini at 1 pm on a Sunday. We were the only ones there to start and sat outside near the fire. Others came along, but it never became noisy or overcrowded. Klaus and the rest of the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The wine, charcuterie board, ambiance, and staff were 5/5. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing service! The wine tasting park is well shaded with a very cool breeze. Also try the gnarly vine Zinfandel!

Yelp
We began our Taste of Martini Flight experience with an artisanal cheese board pairing. We had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc as our welcome drink at the check-in area. Everything went smoothly, and their cheeseboard came with dried fruit compote, marinated olives, and house-made lavash. The standout drink for me was their Malbec, which had rich notes of raspberry and dark chocolate, with the right amount of tannin.

Yelp
We learned about this winery through the Saint Helena passport. Shawn was so nice, quick and on top of everything we needed before we asked him. Clause was sweet, but a bit unorganized, but we still love him. We ended up not purchasing anything here, but the ambience was beautiful, modern and the cheese plate was huge for the price.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our time at Louis Martini Winery. We had purchased the winter wine passport, and this was one of the available experiences. We did make a reservation in advance, but they were able to fit us in an hour early. We sat inside because it was quite chilly out, but there is a large fireplace outside on the patio. Everything at this winery is grand. If you're looking for more of an intimate wine tasting experience, this is for you. There were very few tables inside the tasting room and we felt we had a lot of privacy. Our experience came with a cheese tray and we wanted to purchase more of everything on the tray... It was delicious! The wines were also some of our favorite on the wine trail. I definitely recommend a visit here.

Yelp
James was are hostess and very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained all about the wines and how they went well with the food. The food we had was exceptional!! The upgraded the New York strip to wagyu Beef. Not only did it look beautiful but tasted amazing. We went there for our daughters 26 birthday. Beautiful facility and great atmosphere. Would totally recommend.

Yelp
The ambiance at this winery is absolutely immaculate! We loved the wines, the cheese pairings! We tried to figure out if we could buy the cheeses anywhere because they were SO delish! Carrie our server was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, kind and willing to answer plenty of our questions, we appreciate her willingness to suggest and talk to us about wine! Would absolutely recommend this as a place for a tasting for anyone in the area!

Yelp
Beautiful space. Lovely hosts. Great wine. They welcomed us in with our two kids and made us feel like we were in the company of friends. In an area where we got turned away so many times for not having a reservation, this winery was an oasis after driving up and down the highway. We were so impressed with the presentation, the ambience, and the service, that we opted for their membership. Must visit! We enjoyed our wine tasting paired with a delicious cheese, fruits, and nuts board. Thank you for your hospitality!

Yelp
Welcoming and beautiful winery ! We had group of 5 for my girlfriends birthday celebration and it was bit difficult to find a midday appt on a Friday but this winery was available and so happy we were able to experience this. Friendly, nice staff. Sampled rosè and Cabernets. I'm not a wine enthusiast like my other friends but enjoyed. A delicious Charcuterie board with handmade cheeses was included in tasting. We had a choice for indoor or outdoors and it was a gorgeous day so we opted to enjoy the outside patio area. We were not rushed at all since it was not a busy day. Would love to visit again.

Yelp
We visited Louis M Martini back in September, but I am just now getting around to leaving my review. We opted for the Crown Bar tasting because you don't need a reservation and we weren't sure if we would be up for a 4th winery stop in one day (but of course we were lol). Our host was Klaus and he was very friendly and made sure we had plenty of water and let us try an extra pour of wine while we were there. It was relatively quiet during our time there, I think there had only been 2 other wine tastings at the bar. The tasting room is very clean and nicely decorated. Overall, a very nice stop before dinner!

Yelp
Our friend made a reservation for this winery because he works here. Parking was really easy to find and it's free. Upon entering, I fell in love with the interior; it was very modern and clean-looking. The staff greeted us and offered a brut to try at the greeting counter before escorting us to our table, which was unexpected. The Brut was nice but not my favorite; however, my partner liked it a lot. Since our reservation was at 10:15 am, there were only us and one other table in the winery. We had one lady serving us, and she was exceptionally nice, sharing the history of the winery and the red wines we tasted. She even offered us extra drinks, which was very kind of her. The standout drink for me was the Merlot. For a red wine, it was incredibly smooth and not as bitter. Their Charcuterie board was also excellent, especially the cheeses. I must say, though, since we arrived on an empty stomach, starting the morning with red wine made quite an impact! The bathroom was also very clean and had some nice doors, which was a huge plus. One of our friends ended up purchasing 2 bottles to take home for his family. I forgot which wine he bought, but it was $85 per bottle with an employee discount (still a bit expensive but they tasted good so). Overall, we had so much fun here and I highly recommend visiting this place!

Yelp
The people where nothing short of amazing. The cheese board came with olives in house made olive oil, 2 cheese (1 goats milk & 1 cows milk), crackers, cranberries and seasoned nuts. The spaces were comfortable. Everything was house made. It is worth visiting. Look for Jean.

Yelp
Natalia was an absolute joy to speak with and learn from. We got to walk around and experience all of the rich history behind the winer. She was educated in her wine knowledge and was so friendly that we lost track of time.Outdoor ambiance is incredible and so inviting for warm spring and summer days. Can not wait to go back!

Yelp
Beautiful winery known for its reds. We were seated indoors for a short tasting. We started off with a palette cleanser rose and dove right in to 6 samples. All were amazing but if you're not a fan of reds I'd recommend going with the food pairing. Hosts were kind and helpful. Lots of parking available.

Yelp
The decor is amazing. Spacious, grand yet intimate and cozy. The duck confit was the best duck I ever tried. Hats off to the chef. The wines are impeccable. Lots bold and interesting cabs but the Sauvignon and roses were also delicious. An amazing tasting that cannot be missed.

Yelp
We loved visiting this winery, and Sean was such a welcoming host. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted to try - the wine tasting menu focuses mostly on cabs and red wines, as that's their specialty. Sean gave a complimentary splash of red to one of my friends who liked reds, and then offered the rest of our group splashes of their popular rosé. We all loved our drinks! There is an area of artifacts and displays explaining the history and wine making process here. Compared to many of the other wineries in this area, the doors here are grand and welcoming, and the area interior is spacious with plenty of seating to stretch out and have your own space. It was raining so we sadly didn't get to tour the outdoor areas, but they looked beautiful as well.

Yelp
To say it was the single-handed, most beautiful and delectable experience of my life would be 100% true. My only regret is that I didn't take home at least 10 more bottles each.

Yelp
My wife and I are both Hispanic and we love to travel and try new things. We scheduled the tasting and Hostess came in with a horrible demeanor claiming she had allergies to what we understood and were empathetic. She Gave us the taste and everything was ok we loved the 2009 Lot #1 Cabernet Sauvignon and we wanted to buy 3 of these bottles plus a bottle of 2015 Syrah petite. We also asked for a wine we could lay down for at least 3 years and also wanted to see what they had as far as olive oil. Another party of 4 caucasian walked in and her demeanor changed from miserable to cheerful and playfull. We noticed but did not say anything. She came back to tell us she was going to check on the olive oil and went back to that group and never returned. We waited for her for over 30 minutes while she was just having a conversation with the other customers, we could see them, they were the table adjacent to us. We finally decided to leave and take out business somewhere else where we could be treated with dignity and respect. This might not be a big enough business for this winery but we found out Robert Mondavi loved our little $1,800.00 business that day and giving us the opportunity to become loyal members of their club. Our tasting appointment was on 4/19/2025 at 1:15pm under Araujo. Please find that waitress and talk to her, do not tolerate her racist ways. The world is changing and nowadays you never know who you would end up providing services to.

Yelp
Watch out for last minute cancellations from the Winery. We booked the Underground Cellar tasting months in advance. 6 days before the reservation, we were called and told they would be closed on Sunday, and they were not sure how the online system allowed us to both book and pay. 6 days before a vacation, as you can imagine, leaves very few other options to book, because everywhere else is booked up. To make matters worse, "being closed" was not truthful, attached in the photo you can see they have future Sundays available to book all through the Fall, so it was not just a one time glitch in the system. We were very clearly either bumped, or they double booked and left us with a bad situation. If you book a visit with LMM be sure to call them and confirm, and re-confirm because you could get bumped or cancelled last minute. They offered nothing other than a refund, and we're awaiting that. Very disappointed.

Yelp
I liked so little about this whole experience. Jordan was great. Friendly, knowledgeable. But I can't recommend anything else. We did the Crown Bar tasting and were told repeatedly that we were getting what we paid for. At $50 a person, it's the most expensive and worst tasting thus far. I liked none of the wines. You have to stand at a bar for the entire tasting. No chairs or stools. The place is grand but in the worst way. Tall ceilings. Not warm or inviting. Hated everything about it.

Yelp
Excellent tasting. Good wines, tasty cheese board, quiet outdoor tasting area and superb service from Eric & Klaus.

Yelp
Had a great time at Louis M Martini for our wine tasting! When we came on a Saturday afternoon, the estate was pretty empty, so it was quiet and private. Our server was great - very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and didn't try to sell us on anything. We enjoyed our tasting and the accompanying cheese, crackers, and fruits it came with. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio, fireplace, and greenery. I also appreciated that we were served all our tasting wines at the same time versus one pour at a time. We didn't love any of our wines, hence the 4 stars, but the experience itself was great.

Yelp
Owen, you made this one of our favorite stops in Napa. We were on our way to Orin Swift after having lunch pairing at The Prisoner. When we arrived, Orin Swift had three tables but wouldn't take any walk-ins. As we walked out, we decided to mosey on over to Louis Martini as it was next door. Upon arrival, we were told that reservations were full for the day but Owen said he was happy to accommodate us at the bar in the back and give us a few tastings. Folks, this man offered us a tasting and asked us what we liked about it and what we preferred. He then brought out the next bottle to try and it was exactly what we were looking for. He saw that a friend of ours wasn't enjoying the wine as much so asked what she typically likes to drink. She gave him a few notes and he came back pouring us all another. We were elated as it was superb. We left with a few bottles. The service, the knowledge, the attentiveness, and the ability to make people feel seen and heard. Owen, Thank you for a great time.

Yelp
We visited this beautiful winery on a weekday, later in the day and chose it because we've previously had their wine at a restaurant. From the moment we pulled up, we were stunned by the beauty of this entire place! The building is grand and gorgeous, and the landscaping was excellent and beautiful! The lady checking us in was very friendly and took us to the garden, where Ben took over as our wine educator. Ben's thorough knowledge of wine, Louis Martini and the area definitely came through in his discussions with us. The various wines we tried we nicely done. The small cheese tray they bring out was nicely done and offered some tasty snacks to enjoy while sitting and sipping. We definitely can't say enough about Ben and the service he provided. We highly recommend stopping in for a tasting!

Yelp
Highly recommend the heritage tasting with the food pairing. The small bites were creative and delectable. My favorite wine was the 2018 Howell Mountain. I can't say I enjoyed most of the wines, even putting aside the price, but the experience was so cool and our host was so friendly. I wish I remembered his name. The space is also beautiful - very spacious, clean, and well designed (it used to be a train hall, which is pretty cool). The outdoor space is also huge and gorgeous - lots of tables everywhere. I was surprised at how empty it was. Despite this being a larger winery, I highly recommend coming for the tasting and food pairing!

Yelp
"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing." ― Ernest Hemingway Part 1 of a 2 part Napa Tasting trip I'd put something else sensory over wine but I understand Hemingway's point ;-) There is something sublime about wine especially paired with food. We stopped in at Martini on a lazy Sunday afternoon as I have always enjoyed the wines from Monte Rosso and Stagecoach Vineyards. Plus I follow the Monte Rosso Vineyard Manager Brenae Royal on IG. She is fabulous, brilliant and knowledgeable and hopefully as a WOC she is more of the future of wine instead of old dudes like me. I did the Heritage Tasting and it was fabulous! All wines from Monterosso Vineyard including the SB - Semillion blend, Malbec, Cab Franc, two vintages of Cabernet and the Gnarly Vine Zin. Paired with a five course tasting bites meal, this was a wonderful pairing and our hostess did a really great job explaining the wines and how they will change with each food pairing. Alone, this would have been a wonderful experience but then the extras starting coming out. Merlot and Meritage from Stagecoach, the Lot 1 flagship, and maybe something else that I don't remember. This was a perfect 90 minute tasting and well worth the cost. I became a heritage member to get my tasting free plus purchase discount as I definitely wanted the Cab Franc and SB blend. The required amount of purchases is only two for wine club sign ups plus you can customize which adds so much flexibility. Yes this is a Gallo brand, part of the old guard but at least this division knows customer service. In Part 2 you will see how the new guard completely blows the tasting experience by comparison. Finally, tasting outside was lovely and I cannot wait to attend future events. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Louis M Martini Winery is THE place to go. I would recommended to anyone and everyone visiting Napa! Our visit was very educational and our pourer was very passionate and personable. Honestly, all of the staff we encountered was over the top amazing. We did the Martini Park Tasting and it was absolutely lovely. All samplings were great and the cheeseboard was to die for. This was my favorite stop on our trip; would come back any time I'm in the area.

Shannon C.

Yelp
This was a great tasting experience. The wines were great and the server was welcoming. My only critique is that the tasting patio, while beautiful, is right off of the busy road, making it pretty noisy. That said, we've already swung by a second time to pick up more wine!
google avatar

Michelle P.

Yelp
We came here last week for a wine tasting inside the heritage room. Loved the decorations and how high the ceiling was here - it was so spacious and comfortable. The tasting consisted of 5 different red wines. Our sommelier was super patient and answered all our questions. All the wines were really good and we had a good variety to try out. The outdoor area was also super pretty and would be wonderful on a spring/ summer day. Loved our experience! Would recommend :)

Yelp
My group made reservations ahead of time. I came with a large group, and due to covid restrictions, we had to sit at separate tables but next to each other. The table I sat at got the wine tasting with the food pairing, while the other table in our group only did the wine tasting. We were seated outside, and thankfully no other groups were near us. The inside of the winery was gorgeous, with modern art and a high ceiling, and the bathroom was luxurious. The wine was good, but the food- incredible! Honestly, they could open up the restaurant, forget the wine. I actually think it was difficult to discern the differences between the two red wines. The service here was good as well. People from our group (seated at the other table) only ordered wine, but the hostess offered them one of the food pairings for free! Each wine had its own glass, and we were recommended the order to try them in. I do think the price was steep, about 50$ each person for the wine+food, and 30$ if you did just the wine tasting, and there were only three wines to sample from (in a preset menu). Other wineries in the area do about 5 choose-your-own wines for the same price. However, I do think the experience of Louis was worth it- the wine, debatable.

Yelp
I got the heritage tasting at Louis Martini. Eric was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. They also have a nice court/yard where kids are allowed to run around. The cabs are absolutely amazing. The newly renovated hallway and tasting room are stunning. You won't be disappointed to drop by.

Yelp
Fantastic, excellent red wines. Joined the base level club, and even their lower tiered wines are excellent. They also were kind enough to break out some of the good stuff, high end limited production NV cabs, which are as good as any you will find in Napa Valley. Winery is a large newly remodeled building, like a huge public museum or grand government building or big city library. Impressive. Nice leafy tasting yard with lots of seating and foliage. Heavenly on a 75 degree day with a gentle breeze (unfortunately you can't expect that in July or August in the Napa Valley for the most part--gets hot--and I think at that time there is opportunity to taste indoors in this gorgeous building). This place also allows walk ins, which is becoming rarer and rarer these days. Don't know what their tasting fee is, but since I joined the club it's waived. If I were an out of state visitor I'd definitely load up a case and have them ship it home to you.

Yelp
If you're looking for an intimate winery experience, Louis Martini is for you. I was recommended by a friend who raved about their LOT 1 wine. When entering, you're welcomed by its beautiful interior high ceilings and hanging lights. After checking in, we were led to the Heritage room for our Heritage Flight tasting. We had came in mid-July and at the time, they offered LOT 1 in the menu - seems like it's changed when I just looked at the menu. When we had our tasting, we had some red blends and cabernets. Martin P. (pronounced Mar-teen) was our sommelier and he was educational, fun to talk to, and had so much energy in him. He was amazing; our group adored him. You could tell he was passionate about wine and he he loved working at Louis Martini because he's a wine collector himself. Next time I come back, I'd like to try their food items as well!

Yelp
Went last year for valentines, but this review is long overdue. Love this winery, the staff are super nice, it's beautiful (inside and outside), and the wine is delicious! When I first came, I told that the tasting I chose was seated at another area outside. I talked to the host who knew I was cold and they placed us at a beautiful patio table near the heaters. We did the food and wine pairing and everything paired so well. Love the cabs and merlot here. Would love to come back in the future. One of my top 5 wine tasting experiences. Please check them out!

Yelp
A very informative tasting. My visit to Louis M Martini was very educational. Our pourer was passionate and had a wealth of knowledge and insight regarding the wines being showcased. The lack of seating for the Bar tasting is a bit annoying. The tasting options with food and seating sound interesting, but are a lot more expensive. The winery is very nice, but it doesn't showcase the natural beauty of countryside backdrop as much as other nearby wineries. At $30 for the bar tasting, it is worth a visit for those that want to focus on the wine more than the scenery.

Yelp
Class act and very professional. I would probably come back because Octavio was a great server and impressive wines. I did the seated private wine and food tasting. I recommend

Yelp
We loved the vibe here and their outdoor space was fantastic. Chill music, massive outdoor fireplace, fountains, and modern decor. It felt very friendly and welcoming. We used our priority wine pass to get two tastings for $30 (so buy one get one free). I called to make the reservation and never received the email confirmation. I called back a couple days later since I still hadn't gotten it and they had no record of my reservation. That was lame because then the time we wanted was booked. But the second time around I did get the email confirmation. Anyway despite that snafu we had a lovely time here. Our sommelier was super chill and down to earth, explained the wines as she poured, and gave us a lot of space to enjoy the tasting. The tasting included 3 wines, plus one bonus pour as we sat down, and one bonus pour at the very end of whatever we wanted from their entire tasting menu, which was awesome! We had: 2019 Sauvignon Blanc ($40) - This one was more my style, not super acidic but still had a bite and lots of tropical fruit. 3.5/5 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Rose ($30) - This was more of a typical rose so I didn't like it as much but the husband did. 2/5 2017 Monte Rosso Mountain Red ($65) - I don't have much memory of this one so safe to say I wasn't blown away. I vaguely recall it was not smooth enough for me. 3/5 2017 Cypress Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon (?) - Slightly better than the last but I still didn't like it as much as other cabs we had during our trip. 3/5 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($45) - We both loved this one, it was more mellow and smooth but still had a lot of depth of flavor. 5/5 2016 Lot No 1 Cabernet Sauvignon ($100) - Of course I wanted to try their most expensive cab for my bonus pour. I was actually surprised I didn't like it as much as the napa valley, it was very very strong. Too much for my taste, guess I still have to work up to that haha. 4/5 I'd be happy to come back here for another visit!

Yelp
Great wine & a great place to do wine tasting!!! Love the environment and love the great feeling here. They have inside and outside tables setup. Reservations are recommended due to Covid rules

Yelp
My favorite wine tasting during our Napa trip. Each wine had a perfect pairing. Ended up joining the wine club because of all the great selections. The peppercorn Zinfandel was a shocker! We bought a bottle of it and it was a great steak dinner pairing. Can't wait to come visit again!

Yelp
This place is beautiful and the staff is super attentive. Their reds are delicious. I got their wine tasting menu, but my favorite is their Lot No. 1 that's not in the menu. I love that this place is quiet and not too many people. We can have a relaxing time here with some amazing food pairing with our wine. I definitely think you should try their Lot No. 1 no matter what. It's such a great red wine.

Yelp
Our reservation started with a welcoming glass not listed on the tasting menu (sweet!). We then moved on to our wine flight. Every wine tasted very good, but honestly so similar. The zinfandel was the only one of 5 that had remarkable different notes comparatively. All great wines, just use to having such different flavors for each wine when doing tastings so this threw us all off a bit. We did the food pairing and that made the wine much more enjoyable!! The polenta cake was absolutely delicious and then the pork belly was amazing. Ended with chocolate bacon which was insanely delicious with the wine.

Yelp
Despite being a "large producer" winery, this was an absolutely incredible experience. We did the special VIP food and wine tasting in the underground cellar room; gorgeous beyond belief. Six dishes presented by the chef, along with the in house sommelier, walking us through each combination. Pleasantly surprised by every wine we tasted; intensely flavored with lush tannins and deep fruit flavor. This was as personal a wine and food tasting as I've ever experienced in Northern California. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I wish I could leave a "zero star" for this winery. We had a party of 7 and the service was horrible! So many wineries in Napa, don't waste your time going to this one!

Yelp
Ben at Louis Martini was absolutely fantastic! He said he had only been here for two weeks but he was knowledgeable, friendly, and so welcoming. We throughly enjoyed our time at Louis Martini because of him. He has so much potential. We will definitely be back because of Ben!

Yelp
This winery was amazing! Eliza was our server and was absolutely fantastic. The pours were generous and the ambience was ideal. We will definitely come back!

Yelp
So, I want to start off by saying that the experience overall was good, but sometimes one thing can leave a bad taste in your mouth. There were 6 of us that went together for a crown bar tasting on 3/26 @ 5pm. Our wine ambassador did a really great job explaining each wine, and telling us about each varietal and where they're grown. She was very knowledgeable, explained the conditions at each site, and we really enjoyed the wines a lot! They had delicious cabs, and there wasn't a single wine anyone particularly didn't like. We all bought wine, and at about $100 a bottle, I think we spent about $600. I am an industry member, and she informed me that as much as she wished they did, Martini only offered an industry discount on their large batch wines that you can find in grocery stores. There was no discount on the small batch wines that we bought. Im not cheap at all, but this just isn't the case at other wineries, but totally not her fault! As our ambassador was bagging up our wine, I asked a younger gentleman to take a picture for us. Mind you, it was 6pm, and there were 2 cars in the parking lot including my own. They were not busy. After thinking about it for a few seconds, his response was, "I can't. I have too much to do." Odd, right? It would have taken him 30 seconds. Being in the industry, or just even being a human, I can't imagine ever responding in that manner to that request. If he didn't have time, there were about a million other responses that would've been better. Just, "I can't at this moment, but I will grab someone for you" would have been fine. He walked away, and then walked back over 1 minute later, and again said something about being busy. In the time he spent saying that, the picture could have been taken five times. We could tell that our server was embarrassed by his response and quickly said she would take it for us. I truly hope someone said something to address his response after we left. Being that we spent a good amount on wine, and were a totally respectful group, this just was not a good way to end our experience. I really wanted to love this place because I'd heard such great things, and the wines were enjoyable.

Yelp
The martini park tasting was nice. We added food pairing. The overall experience was very enjoyable.
