Le Poisson Rouge - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"Jeff Goldblum has a jazz band, because of course he does. And they’ve got the cred–The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra reached No. 1 on the US Jazz Charts in 2018 and played Glastonbury musical festival in 2019. They’ve even been known to break out jazz covers of Jurassic Park every now and then. The ensemble returns to Le Poisson Rouge this Friday. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"Started by actress Stephanie March and makeup artist Rebecca Perkins (who formed their partnership on the set of SVU), Rouge NY is the city's first makeup-only salon. Whether you have a big event, or just want to get freshened up before dinner, they offer various levels of service at fairly reasonable prices. The Campari cocktail upon arrival is a nice touch, too."

Although I don't go to live venues as much, LPR was a lot of fun! It's definitely spacious enough to not feel jammed in, and the staff were very friendly. Both performances were fantastic (tribute bands to The Cure and The Smiths). Great sound, lighting, and overall vibe. I'll definitely come back here for another live event!

What a great place to catch a show. Have seen many a performance here -- including jazz, folk, and indie rock. But nothing beats the in-the-round style hardcore shows this incredible venue hosts. Great sound, good bar, and nice folks working here. Cant recommend this place enough!

Went to LPR last night for a Yukimi (lead vocalist from Little Dragon) show and the experience was amazing. My friend and I both came in wheelchairs and the staff did such a good job taking care of us. Had the perfect accessible section for us with an awesome view of the band. Close enough actually to meet them on the way out. Was my first time back to LPR in years (lived on Waverly for a few months) but will not let it take so long the next time around. Thanks team!

What a fun night! Went to the 90s hip hop and R&B event and had the best time. The bar is small but never too crowded, the DJ was on point with his music, and the crowd great. Zero hostility and people who can handle their drinks and music. Will def be back!

A truly fantastic experience. Really cool venue in a nice area, friendly staff, and reasonable enough drink prices when factoring in both NYC and concert pricing. The sound quality was top-notch and I've never been to a show that kept you as comfortably cool as this one did. I'd definitely love to come again for the right act.

Such a cool place - bigger than a listening party, smaller than a full blown concert. Beautiful venue

Came here for a concert Thursday night and thought the space was decent, not too crowded and the sound system was good. Had a great experience and will come back again if there are other events happening here that I’d be interested in seeing.
