This place is in a really cool area. You can take out of town guests here and sit outside across the street of the above ground graves. No other city has that kind of ambience. When you get there, you order inside. The place is SMALL. It is basically a bunch of stools along the window and maybe one or two tables in the corner. I think the owner greeted and couldn't be friendlier. They have an extensive list of food for a coffee shop. I really liked all the options. During Mardi Gras they sell small Caluda's king cakes at the front desk. When placing your order, you place it at the front and pay, so easy if you need a place to do separate checks. I don't think they had any booze sold here but plenty of drinks and the king cake latte with the works is what I ordered for my drink. Wow! It was really good, super sugary - which I like - and just masterfully presented, with a king cake baby and all. For food, I ordered the bell pepper fried rings. It was a play on onion rings but I felt this was better! They were crunchy and didn't have too much battered covered on them. I also ordered the shrimp and grits po'boy. Who the crap would have though to put shrimp n grits in a po'boy? You would think it would be a soggy mess, but it wasn't. The bread was not cut the roof of your mouth hard, it was a really nice softer po'boy bread and made this entree delectable. I loved it.
The only negative with this place is the majority of the seating is outside so if its freezing cold or sweltering hot, it is not the best. But again you get to look at those beautiful and unique above ground graves. Very unique New Orleans. I loved it and if someone asks where can i get the most variety of food from a coffee shop, Luca Eats is always the answer.
