Great bar to bring your dog to or just to hang out with dogs. Great backyard with a lot of seating and room to walk. The inside doesn’t have many tables but has plenty of bar stools. Drinks were delicious and cheap! Great place to spend an afternoon

Our favorite down key bar. No food, but you can bring your best friend. Staff is friendly and attentive, crowd is usually happy and welcoming. Sometime there’s a few rowdy dogs but it’s rare. Definitely swing by with your fluff for a day out you both deserve.

I’ve been really excited to try this place and bring my mom when she was in town with her puppy, but the bartender wouldn’t serve her because she didn’t have her ID. Not only that but she was like all snarky about it and said who goes to the bar without an ID?? Umm a 65 year old woman? There were only two other people in there so I was kind of shocked they were turning away people of obvious drinking age but oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you love beer? Do you also love dogs? This place is for you! Met the happiest pups ever just walking around the bar or even enjoying a treat at the bar top. Good drinks a chill place to hang out with friends or make some new ones.

So… this bar is amazing because it’s a doggy bar & there are tons of puppers & dogos to pet. But more importantly the bartender is amazing & provided a superior level of bartending service. This is is a fun bar with really chill vibes and a good crowd. Loves: + Dogs are welcome and they are all good boys and girls + Shuffleboard and patio in the back + Chill bartenders (shoutout to our dude Harold!) + Cheap drinks: $12 for a boozy marg pint (named 1lb!) or $6 beers Overall, good times and hope to be back sooner rather than later! Graham is the greatest bartender on the planet, and I'm not just saying that because he controls my bar tab and gave me a free sandwich. I mean it, very sincerely. You should come to this bar, unless you're an asshole... then not so much. I'd also like to make sure none of the other bartenders at Lucky take offense to my singling out Graham for special attention. Ashley, Kaylee (is that how she spells her name?), Joel, Savanah, Bryant.... shit. I'm going to have to come back and edit this review a few times. No good deed goes unpunished. Fun and dog friendly bar. If you don't like dogs then don't come here. Luckydog is one of the best bars in Williamsburg. Happy hour is a good deal. They let dogs inside and there's another area outside. Good prices at happy hour or any hour. It feels like a dive bar plus dog park. The service is pretty spotty. It can take awhile to be acknowledged. The last time here we got served right away however. As expected, if the weather is warm, it's busy. People are more likely to be walking dogs. If you aren't with a dog, there's fun to be had at the bar. The place can get pretty crowded because there's not a whole lot of room. At happy hour they have some cheap drinks. It's about $3 for well drinks. They usually don't have food. I like it more when it's warm enough. Outdoor seating is much more comfortable than inside. The dog owners are usually friendly and the dogs are behaved most of the time.

The drinks here were good. Ambiance is great. HOWEVER, I left my airpod pros here on a weekend. I tried calling multiple times and they don't answer the phone. Finally I went there to get them back because I could see them there. They said they didn't find them but would check with another bartender and he would call. No one EVER called me back and I can now see my airpods are in a landfill. Absolutely despicable service and people. I will never come here ever again. This is my first Yelp review and I am compelled to leave this here because this behavior is just absolutely horrendous. DO NOT COME HERE

There were more dogs there than expected. The place was pretty packed with lots of people. If you want to drink simply with your dog, this place is perfect. They have a backyard so your dog can meet other dogs.

Dropped in on a hot and humid Saturday afternoon in August. Had a couple of pints, petted a couple of dogs, had some nuice conversations with fellow patrons as well as the bartender. The beer and AC were cold, and the folks were nice. Would happily recommend and return.

Awesome casual DOG-FRIENDLY bar with a comfy patio in the back! The aperol spritz ($10) was bubbly and tasty, and the raspberry mint daiquiri (blended with real fruit and fresh mint, $10) was so refreshing on a hot day. Note: bring cash to save a little! There's a small fee for cards.

Stopped by here after not being able to sneak into another lounge with the pup so we came here. It was a rough crowd and as you can see, Oso got into a bar fight immediately. We cooled off with some craft beers after he roughed up the other dude. Followed that up with some shuffleboard with our crew. It was nice and cool inside and the outdoor backyard was packed too. Overall, we'd say we had a good time.

The servers at Luckydog were obnoxiously rude. With no menu on site, both bartenders were angry when we asked for drinks they didn't have on the menu. They went as far as to tell us to, "go nextdoor" if we wanted "those" kind of drinks. We wanted mixed drinks. They were busy and the line was long, but their anger shouldn't be taken out on the customers. We tried to break a $100 bill. The bartender took the $100 bill out of my friends hand (my friend is black), looked at him, gave the $100 bill back, and then told him that the bar doesn't take hundreds. Why did he take the hundred dollar bill out of my friends hand if they don't take hundreds? Why isn't there a sign that says they don't take hundreds? When my group of friends called him out for his discriminatory actions he told them not to take it, "so f'ing seriously". The margaritas were awful. Check out the cheese sandwiches they're giving out for COVID. Gross.

Luckydog is a true dog bar supposed to be full of people bringing their dogs! When we went on a Saturday night it was dogless but still a cool slightly above a dive-level bar. Very chill, great beer selection at acceptable prices, good service, nice neighborhood type of bar.

One of my fav bars in Williamsburg.. super friendly staff, cheaper drinks, cool/spacious patio && dog friends throughout the bar and can grab a slice from Fini next door and bring it in while you have a beer :)

When my friend call me to meet for our regular friend time, I had to come see her with my dog since I had him with me. She said, oh let's go to Lucky Dog, they allow dogs. She could not had picked a better place, I mean this friend knows just about ALL the best places to have fun. Omg! What a cool and awesome bar. As I walked in, there were a few nice friendly dog there who greeted and played with my dog. It's a heavenly place for dogs, the vibe of the place is one of a kind, super friendly. My dog was even happier than me, he was walking all over wagging his tail, I could see the happiness in his eyes. My dog made a few human friends, he was working on the girls better than any man...he left me by my chair and went to hang out with some cute girls on the other side of the bar, I saw the girls talking and petting him. He stayed there for a while hanging with the girls, good thing I am not jealous, I let him have his fun. He kept going from the girls to the other dogs to play and socialize, he showed me that he has better social skills than me, he just blended with the crowd, he felt like the king of the night, and every one who walked in the bar, greeted and pet him. The drinks were nice and affordable, not expensive like other places. For 3 beers, 1 juice and a snack the bill was 29.98. Not bad at all for a few hours of fun. The Bartenders were all nice and attentive, excellent customer service. They kept making sure that we had everything we needed as far as drinks. There is a Lovely back yard with tables. I will surely be back, it was very relaxing to find a cool spot to wind off after work with my dog and my friend.

Had a great time here a week or so ago and was so happy I could bring my puppers! There were also a plethora or other doggy friends he could play with which was great. What's even better is that mostly every human which enters the bar is a fellow dog lover (honestly, if you did not pet my dog when you walked in I thought you were possibly a sociopath bc WHO does not pet an adorable golden retriever puppy). The sole reason I knocked off one star is because the bartender was a bit rude and awkward. I saw her badger other people for bigger tips and constantly check receipts when folks closed their tab. Luckydog is by no means an upscale bar...its a dive establishment which barely serves food and mostly serves beer. I've never seen this type of behavior at any bar i've frequented but hey guess its her thing. To each their own, at least the patrons are good sports :)

this bar sucks, put money in the juke box and they skipped all of my songs. Feel like that deserves a refund

Luckydog is the perfect bar for the hipster Williamsburg crowd and beer lovers; like me. I have been a couple of times but can't say it is my favorite place yet. Yes, they have great beers, and they are super cheap, but the crowd is not for me. It can get loud, and the people that are smoking up by the front and in the backyard ruin it for me. I hate the smell of cigarettes, and it seems like a sh*tload of people smoke here. The bartenders are personable and know their stuff. Brian sticks out in my mind; he is a nice one that my sister and I chatted up one night. The bouncer by the door is excellent too. He has a good memory which is great. He looked out for me a night that I lost my debit card here. I like the concept; it is a decent looking bar. I love that people can bring their doggies along! That is my favorite thing about this place. I would come here just to pet dogs even if they weren't serving beers. I recommend this place for a hit and run. Come in, drink and then move out to the quieter, fancier places in Williamsburg. Or, come in and drink to your heart's content if you do not mind smelling like a pack of cigarettes when you leave. I get it; that might be some people's prerogative.

I live right around the corner and this is my favorite place to unwind post work. Chill and with a great backyard. Oh, and the most important feature--all dogs welcome! Very relaxing to have a beer and watch pups play.

Researching to find a bar that had a chill vibe where you can bring your dog. This was one of the top spots in the city, with a solid drink list and an outdoor area for pets and people alike. Draft list is top-notch, a nice selection for just about everyone, ranging from $4-7. To go along with the draft beers, there are plenty of hard-drink specials. Tried the 1-lb Margarita ($10) - a large serving of tequila+marg mix served in a pint glass. This drink is certainly strong (definitely eat something beforehand). Inside, the patio/backyard has a variety of seating, making as much use of the space as possible. Dogs are running around, but all the owners had their pets under wraps. Cool spot to mingle with other pet owners as well as having properly priced drinks.

Good people, real non-internet juke box with freaking Supertramp. Friendly bartenders, not sardine canned packed, easy conversation, the best sort of place. Love love their hot cider. Lots of good luck, no dogs when I went but here's to hoping for next time!

Well any place you can bring dogs and hang out outside, I'm in. The drinks are cheap, the decor is divey, and the bartenders are great. I'm always on the back porch, and there are always like 10 dogs all chilling. It'd be great if people didn't have their dogs pee right at the door to get back in, but whatever, its dogs. at a bar! Definitely go if you're looking for a good vibe and it's a sunny day

i go here for the dogs the tenders are good people its always fun and lively, a little away from the maddening crowd of williamsburg but close enough to stumble on over for a bite after you have had your fill from this waterimg hole

The bar itself seems cool, but the bartenders here are incredibly racist, rude and offensive. I've lived in the neighborhood for over 5 years and used to bring my dog cause I thought it was a great opportunity to spend an evening with my friends without neglecting my pup. However, every bartender here has been incredibly rude and racist. My most recent interaction was with an off the clock bartender that was sitting at the bar where I had previously hung my coat while I went to play shuffle board. When I went back to the stool to check for my coat she yelled at me, called me the c word and said I was stupid for leaving my coat at the bar. Unknowingly the off the clock bartender had given my jacket to the working bartender to hold on to for safe keeping (which I appreciate). However she then yelled at my friend that we were stupid and were not welcome back. I strongly suggest NO ONE GO HERE!!!!! OR BY ANY MEANS EXPECT THAT YOU WILL BE TREATED WITH RESPECT.

Why is the greatest bar in history? Cause it's dog friendly duhhhhhh. They have a nice little outdoor patio with plenty of room to sit and have a beer and let your dogs mingle with other doggies. Good drink selection and also live music on some days. But doggys. Doggyyyysssssssss.

Lucky Dog is such a cute little bar in Williamsburg! Dogs roam freely both inside and out, and the crowd is mostly locals. On weekends, they give out complimentary bagels. The bartenders are usually pretty good and try to get drinks out as quickly as they can when it gets busy. Prices are very reasonable. The back patio is my favorite part - it's nice to be able to hang outside under the string lights on a nice night. I highly recommend checking out this little neighborhood bar!

Seems to be ok at the beginning but the bartender is very rude at the end. I brought my dog to enjoy with another customer. They are all nice people and I don't understand why people can look over about how bartender treat the customer. Im so disappointed with the service.

I mean what is better than a bar that is dog-friendly? We had a great time here while visiting my friend. Took her dog to dog park and then came to Lucky Dog after to enjoy a couple of drinks. The patio is quite large which is where I recommend sitting (if weather permits). Plenty of friendly dog owners and dogs to interact with whether you have your own dog or not. Great beer selection too. Bloody Mary also was enjoyable. So many doggos! The service was pretty quick, but it wasn't "prime time" when we were there (I see some people commenting on slow service).

What a great place for dog lovers to hang out! What an idea! I found out this place recently after the shopping spree on Grand St. It got to the point where I can chug a pint of beer because it was so hot out! From the outside, this place looks like a normal hipster bar in Brooklyn, but when you walk past the bar, voila, there is a spacious patio in the back with wooden benches! Smoking is permitted in this area as well. They have a long list of beers that sell by either pint or pitcher for a reasonable price. This time we got a pitcher of Genesee Cream Ale for $10. What a great deal! I was like, give me two of those! They also have live band playing near the bar area. It was nice to watch a few dogs playing with one another while you were drinking and hanging out with your friends. It could be crowded at times, but, well, everybody just wanted to enjoy the outside space! Definitely going back for more beer!

I was here on a Saturday night. It was crowded. BUT Good crowd, cheap drinks, lots of dogs, friendly bouncer.

The beer selection should appeal to any beer drinker. There is a mix of craft and non-craft beers with some local as well as international favorites. The styles are pretty varied too. There is plenty of entertainment. They have table shuffleboard, a pinball table, and a beer garden. There was also a live performance on a Sunday night. Luckydog is a dog friendly bar, so there are pups walking around sniffing people and such.

I sure am a "lucky dog" to have moved in near this bar. I've been in here a couple times with friends because of how close I live and every experience has been great. It's a dive bar, but it's on the higher end of the spectrum; it's not dirty, sticky, or grungy, but still has that low-key, unpretentious vibe. The inside is decked out in kitschy lights and decorations, with large chalk boards to show you what they have on draft/bottles. Prices are reasonable for the area - most beers/ciders around $6/7 - but they have some higher priced (and higher quality) drinks. The inside includes a shuffle board and a pinball machine if you're feeling lively. There's also a spacious back patio with plenty of benches and tables to sit and enjoy your drink, which is especially fun in the summer. The big draw here though is the fact that people can bring their DOGS. As a millennial with a tiny apartment and a proclivity for travel, I get my fill of puppy loving at Luckydog. Bartenders are friendly and I've never had a problem getting service, even when it gets busy, nor have I had problems with a minimum or using a credit card. Friday and Saturday nights are when it's most popping, but I like to go on the weekdays after work for happy hour. There's always a steady flow of people then, but you can sit at the bar and have a nice conversation. The crowd that comes here is pretty young, mid-twenties Williamsburg residents, so it can get loud when busy. To put it plainly, Luckydog does it for me. Puppies, great beer, and friendly bartenders. What more could I need?

We sometimes take our maltipoo to the dog park at Domino Park and then make our way here after for post-dog run cocktails. This place makes a mean (and large!) margarita, which is usually my go-to order. I've also ordered aperol spritzes, and various beers/ciders from the menu. I usually visit Saturday afternoons. If you'd like to snag a seat in the backyard, I'd suggest getting here early. By 3 PM, the yard is usually totally full, but our dog likes sitting inside anyways. She likes the AC! Be patient with the barstaff. The bar is usually packed.

If you love dogs, and want to pet some and play with strangers' dogs, then that's a spot for you. They have a good variety of drinks and usually it's crowded. You'll find lots of dogs to pet and play with. Recommended, especially if you have a small apartment and can't own a dog. :)

Sometimes I worry when ordering a cocktail at a dive bar that I'm going to annoy the bartender. You don't have to worry about that here! I asked if they make old fashioneds and the bartender was friendly and happy to make one (I noticed later there was a . sign for these on the wall...duh). It was tasty- a tad on the sweet side- went down easy. You can bring dogs! I love that. It seems to encourage socializing with new people. There is a nice backyard and the music was on point. 80s/90s songs you would hear from the soundtrack of a movie like Grosse Point Blank or Reality Bites.

One of the most dog friendly places I have ever been to. I've been here twice. Once on a weekend and it was jam packed with all sorts of dogs. Second time was in the afternoon during a weekday & I was the only one there, with my pup. Super cool & relaxed bar with an outside area, plenty of seating outside. Cool vibes. The inside is a little dark - but the place is great. I'm telling you, I've seen about every breed of dog in this place!

Luckydog is like a place of my dreams. A place where you can drink and be surrounded by dogs???!! Heaven!! I am at one with animals. Most of the time I actually prefer them over human company so when I saw that there was a bar in Williamsburg on Bedford Avenue that was pet friendly, I had to come and visit! It's a decent sized place with a huge backyard area that was filled to the brim on a Sunday afternoon. There's a little square of seating in the front that's semi-outdoors. Country music was playing until a two guy band came and started playing live music. That was pretty sweet. They also have a pretty awesome jukebox filled with rock music. So my kind of place! Bartenders were friendly and on the ball. Great selection of beers, alcohol and cocktails. My friend had a drink that consisted of hard cider and Fireball. Delicious. My drink was even better. Called the White Cuban it was rum, coffee and a bunch of other liquors. So luscious! We had a seat on the bench by the open window overlooking the backyard space. I became like a little kid every time someone came in with a dog. What a blast playing with all of the dogs in a chill atmosphere. They even had a covered caked dish filled with bagels and cream cheese. Looked like it was free for the taking, but I'm not 100% sure on that. They have a Star Trek pinball machine and shuffleboard if you get bored. Also, a water station for the doggies. Bathrooms were okay. No paper towels or a hand dryer! I absolutely love Luckydog and I can not wait to come back. Whoever created this place is genius.

Fun place to bring you dog. My girlfriend had her dog's birthday party and the back area was perfect. There was also a dog wedding going on at the same time. They let us bring in our own food which was really nice. If you're looking for a dog friend pub, Luckydog is the place. So much fun. There was also a cool two piece band playing while we were there. Staff was friendly and the service was good.

This is one of the best and most chill bars I have ever been to! My friends and I went last night after dinner about two blocks away. We were saying how if someone wanted to point someone to a bar in Williamsburg that really repped the neighborhood, this would probably be it. When you are approaching the bar, it's you can somewhat hear the music bumpin', and the place is pretty packed when you actually get inside. We were surprised. First you see the people, and then you feel something bump your leg so you look down and lo and behold!!! Puppers If you walk further in there is a whole patio /back yard full of people and dogs.- need I say more? Well anyway, we will definitely be back (planning our dog's 12th birthday shhhh) but.. The only things I have complaints on are: 1) the bouncer- like yes we get it you're doing your job but could be a bit friendlier. Grilled my friends and I who are 24+ on our IDs 2) the service is very slow. Only two bartenders for such a crowded bar, not to mention they closed off the end of the bar ("not serving from this end to night")

This place is AMAZING for dog lovers, beer drinkers and cool people who like to have fun. If those three categories describe you, you need to come here. This trendy, casual bar in Williamsburg is a dog haven; I think the owners have two dogs who roam free, and customers bring their dogs to play with each other or sit close by. There's an adorable patio out back where humans and dogs can sit or run around, and there's shuffleboard and games to borrow (though chess is missing a lot of pieces). Even though I'm more of a cat person, I could not help falling for the friendly, chill brown poodle who obligingly let me pet him all night.

What a nice spot to sit and drink a beer! Nice bar with a backyard to sit. There's happy hour until 7pm where you can have your beer for 2$ each. Notice: dogs are allowed at this bar, so be aware to meet some giant wolves or was it a sheep ;)

This place must be protected at all costs. Amazing bartenders, great drinks & they are dog friendly. They have done a killer job through this pandemic and we cannot wait for them to open with normalcy again. If you don't love this place, you should reevaluate your life choices.

I get a whiskey shot and highlife for five bucks and make friends with all the chillest dogs in Williamsburg. what else could you ask for, people?? definitely cool to come alone as everyone is weird (in a comforting way) and friendly, plus, there are pups. there's also a backyard where you can smoke and watch dogs run around a tree in circles.

So I've been going to this bar for years started going even more after the pandemic and is funny to me how ignorant and stupid they can be because I just went in was about to do the survey about if I have been feeling ill or been exposed Etc ... when the bartender ( Thursday ) today says u don't have to do that anymore I said oh really he said no u been vaccinated right I said no and he said that's too bad now u have to sit outside I said too bad for u guys I bring u the $ drinks I can find everywhere and that's the most stupid shit I've heard because they not even asking for proof it's my word and because I am truthful I said no and that's the correct answer anyway but to make a long story short there loss not mine too bad lucky dog will never get a penny from me again that ten dollar tip I left one of the girls Tuesday was my last that's for sure just for them being stupid and going by what people say anyone can say they've been vaccinated ...

Luckydog is a fun spot (and yes there were dogs inside! My kind of place). Great beer selection and a nice vibe. The bartender was nice, and was interested in talking to us. Very good happy hour here too. I wasn't in the mood for beer and had a margarita instead. It was tasty! I'd like to come back when there are more dogs in attendance. And when the back patio is open!

YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY LOVELY DOGS PLAYING AROUND . Also nice patio and lots of puppies. There was a Cocker Spaniel's birthday when we came No Happy hour in the weekends but good margarita specials from early in the afternoon! Perfect for the summer. Aaaand there is a swing!

This place is the best bar for dog friendly places in Brooklyn. Hard to find places like this. Nice place to hang out with friends and the pups can hangout inside the bar but it does get hot. Or hanging outside in the back has a nice area. Definitely will come back

Why do you come to LuckyDog? For the outdoor garden patio and of course the PUPPY DOGS! Dogs EVERYWHERE. I enjoy this hipster haven in Williamsburg even though it gets a little too crowded for my personal comfort. The brewskies are kind of cheap. They have bucket deals on crap beer. They have a decent craft beer menu that rotates. They have shuffle board and pinball apparently which I've never noticed because the few times I've gone here its been jam packed. The servers behind the bar, I know are busy as all out hell, but a few times its been frustrating. I wasn't aware there was water on the side of the bar. Was trying to gain someone's attention. They served people to my left, people to my right, people next to me, she started talking to her friend that had a prime pooch on her lap, she did a shot and cheers with her friend, she looked at me, I thought I stood a chance and my heart skipped a beat, a few bros walk into the bar and waddle up to order, she takes their order immediately. I then find out I could have gotten my own water as my knees are ready to buckle from dehydration. She also reprimanded me for waiting for so long for water. It was kind of a weird and nasty experience. But else wise, I like to come and watch the dogs on a hot summer night, I just hate the crowds.
