The 15 Best Vegetarian Restaurants In Philadelphia

"There was a time when finding a good meatless burger was as rare as finding South Broad without double parking. Now, there’s chickpea and Impossible patty options, but a great choice is always at Queen Village’s Lucky’s Last Chance. One of our favorite places in the city for anything served on a bun, their Peace, Love, and Veggie burger includes a massive black bean patty, a fresh layer of guacamole, pico de gallo, and peppers. It’s spicy, has the perfect texture, and the toasty brioche bun impressively holds everything together without getting soggy. Eat it inside or pick up something for dinner that you’ll likely eat on the couch." - candis mclean

The Best Hot Dogs In Philadelphia

"Lucky’s Last Chance in Queen Village and Manayunk may be known for their burgers, but their hot dog roster is as stacked as the Phillies batting lineup. Classic ones, cajun ones, savory ones covered in chili, and ones so stacked you’ll have to do mouth gymnastics just to bite it. With 11 optionss on the menu, there’s something for anyone you bring here for a casual lunch and IPA. If there was any justice in the world, we could eat them all in one sitting. But when we have to be reasonable, we play Joey Chestnut with the Coney, topped with chili and strips of melted cheddar, and the Sergeant Pepper, covered in a fiery five-pepper relish and brown mustard. " - candis mclean

"The bun is an essential part of every good burger, especially the one from Lucky’s Last Chance in Queen Village. 11 Philly Restaurants for Affordable Takeout | Eater

"With locations in both Manayunk and Queen Village, Lucky’s Last Chance is the place to go for both traditional and wild burgers. Adventurous eaters should try the burger topped with peanut butter and jelly or the award-winning “Pickle Monster,” stacked high with fried pickles, dill pickles, pickle aioli, and pickle potato chips. (Ideal for ordering before watching the game, or anytime, really.) Cool down with a Coke or strawberry lemonade." - Vox Creative

Extremely well made artisanal burgers. The place is definitely worth the visit if you like burgers with delicious flavors. The fries are also on point! Their in-house sauce is really good and the menu brings a variety of great options for burgers, hot dogs, and breakfast dishes. They also offer drinks like mimosas, Bloody Mary, old fashion and others. I definitely recommend trying the PB & J bacon burger. Initially I was skeptical of it, but I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. Very interesting flavor. Their jelly is made in house. Mixing the jelly with the burger and the peanut butter is definitely a great explosion of flavors. I will definitely visit again. The servers were friendly and helpful! The place is located in Queen Village in Philadelphia, which means parking will not be necessarily easy, but not necessarily impossible.

Delicious burger. Not the best I’ve ever had but probably top 10%. I had the Pickle Monster which was quite good with the right amount of juiciness and the toppings added flavor that the meat lacked. Very impressed with the spread of burgers available here and the fried foods. They do have Impossible Burger if that’s what you need. I highly recommend the burgers, even for delivery where it wont be as fresh - still tasty! However, for me, the experience falls apart with the tater tots. First off, they were delivered without a lid, which is disgusting and an obvious health and safety concern. 100% needs immediate attention. Second, the cheese is on the side in a tiny cup - definitely not enough. I’m sure it’s on the side to prevent sogginess but really all it does is give you 30 cents worth of cheese for which you paid $1.50. And another thing: the cheese wasn’t that tasty anyway! The Old Bay was barely notable and, seriously, have y’all ever heard of salt?? A little would go a long way. (Same thing for the burger meat which needs to be seasoned before it’s cooked.) Overall, if you’re looking for reasonable(-ish) priced burgers and fries, and are vigilant to avoid upcharges, check this spot out. Looks like a cool vibe, I’m excited to check it out in person and give a second chance.

Like a cozy dive bar indoors with colorful cafe table seating outdoors. Good burgers, great tots. (A side order is large so definitely share or takeout home.) They usually give you two thin burgers but I asked for one and it was plenty for me. They are across the street from my fave dentist so when I see him I clearly have to go to Lucky's. But then I power-walked home to balance the indulgence a little. I enjoyed a nice plain iced tea -- the tannins help break down the fats. And it's just refreshing.

Google
I’m on the hunt to find the best smash burger in Philly, and this place came HIGHLY recommended. I decided to go with the classic burger, because the other ones I’ve tried were also just a burger and toppings and I wanted to keep it fair. It was lackluster, and I was disappointed because my expectations were high! It didn’t have a lot of flavor, nothing about it stuck out to me or was memorable. The fries were also crinkle cut which I’m not a fan of, I prefer battered fries. Espresso martini had the right amount of creaminess, they did add cinnamon to the top which I would do without next time. A lot of people said I need to go back and try a specialty burger, so I would come back and give it a second chance!

Google
The food was absolutely delicious. I got the bacon, egg, and cheese burger with tots. The tots were probably the best I have ever had! Perfectly crispy and not oily at all. The burger itself was monstrous! It dwarfed the bun it was on, and was incredibly juicy. The food arrived very quickly, as the bartender was very kind. The only ding I have was it was very dark inside, which wasn’t a huge deal, but it was noticeably dark for service hours.

I got the BEC burger and it was very good, but trying the pb & j burger was definitely the most memorable and surprisingly tasty. We also got the main street tots with extra cheese sauce on the side. These tots were perfectly crispy and crunchy and the cheese sauce was divine - I even dipped my burger in it. Overall, very satisfying and I would definitely come back!

I’ve been a huge fan of Lucky’s since moving to Philly but my most recent visit solidified why I love this place. Not only is the food consistently amazing but the service is always phenomenal. Derek took care of us last night and he was SPECTACULAR! Outstanding energy even though we were dining late at night, always had a smile on his face, and was simply a pleasure to chat with. I’ve always known Lucky’s has an awesome crew, but Derek really blew it out of the park. 11/10.

My wife and I moved to Queen Village two years ago, and Lucky's has become our go to place. Great beer selection, solid burger fare, and friendly staff. One of our top three reasons we love Queen Village!
