Lucy Restaurant And Bar - Review - Yountville - Yountville - The Infatuation

"Locals might purposely be gatekeeping Lucy, and once you visit, you’ll see why—this American restaurant delivers dishes on par with Napa’s top-rated restaurants, and most nights you can avoid the crowds and slip in without a reservation. Located inside the lavish Bardessono Hotel, expect ultra-luxe touches alongside a down-to-earth dining room, and, like most restaurants in the area, ingredients that are mainly sourced a few steps away. This is upscale California cuisine with flavor enhancements that won’t feel obnoxious, like a fried avocado with jalapeño ranch and tuna tataki with edamame purée and garlic togarashi. This place is perfect for grabbing a banana punch cocktail by the fire or having a multi-course weeknight dinner of never-disappointing pan-seared duck or fish, and is also a great option for brunch. Another perk: complimentary valet parking, a welcomed rarity in a town with too-small lots and competitive street parking." - Jasmine Alexandra

"Lucy Bar & Restaurant at Bardessono To say that Lucy Bar + Restaurant is inside the very cool Bardessono hotel in Yountville is not quite right as the separation between outside and inside is almost indistinguishable in this contemporary space. Jeff Vandiver, one of the designers of the space, said he wanted to stay as far away from wine country kitsch as possible—and he succeeded, swapping the standard old vines and wine-barrel decor with steel beams and blown glass. A wall of doors and windows open to a patio, garden, and a reflecting pond. Lucy is one of the few places to get a good breakfast in town, and takes advantage of the friendly Napa climate by including seating on the patio. Much of the menu comes from their own garden or from local purveyors (a commitment that aligns with the hotel's LEED Platinum certification), so the menu is seasonable and changing."

It was around 9am on Saturday morning. We had finished an amazing balloon ride w Napa Valley Aloft Hot Air Balloon rides and were hungry. We stopped into Bistro Jeanty. They were not opening for another couple hours and suggested we try Lucy. We walked in without a reservation, were told it would be about a 25min wait. We were okay with that. Did not feel that long before we got seated. The menu had a good number of appealing choices. I chose the Eggs Benedict and an Espresso martini to go with it. Both were amazing. New fave spot.

We had a large party at this restaurant where we enjoyed the large covered patio as well as the party room. The food was exceptional, not your average restaurant .I have not eaten this kind of quality courses in a long time. Very interesting flavors, delicate presentation and the bread was fantastic. Great originality and exceptional tender meats. The cheese plate was a delicate balance of savory, hot and sweet. I really appreciated the light panna cotta desert with a homemade rhubarb topping. If you have a large party, do not hesitate, the chef will raise to the occasion.

We stayed at the Bardessono Resort where Lucy is located. We ate at the Bar and at the restaurant for breakfast. Both were incredible. We ate outside by the fire for Lucy Bar and for breakfast there was hardly anyone in the restaurant making our experience very personal. Great service in both areas. Overall food was average and service subpar. Unfortunately Lucy's doesn't match the level of service that bardessono offers. Fried avocado was really good, albeit least healthy . Ahi tuna was 3 very small pieces of tuna , average taste. Beef short rib was ok, but needed to cooked longer and be more tender. Polenta was too heavy with butter and cream and all I could taste Duck was way overcooked, even though we ordered medium and didn't feel sending it back since it took 25mins for main course to come out after appetizers , even though there was only 1 more table in the restaurant. Side of Mushrooms and vegetables local, fresh and super tasty even though we requested to be cooked in olive oil , and not butter. Our bottle of wine was opened and served a glass to us once, remainder of the meal we had to fill our glasses and remind them to fill up our water glasses despite 3 different waiters switching serving us. I guess there is a reason the place was not busy at all during the week we stayed at bardessono , even though all restaurants in the area were always booked and full every night. I hope they make some changes to improve their food offerings and service in order to stay competitive with other restaurants in the yountville area.

Perfect all around. Fantastic cocktails and food. We were there for brunch. The apple cider pancakes are a must have!

I was really excited for breakfast here. We stopped before heading out of town. We wanted a nice meal to finish out our trip. The atmosphere was excellent, all the staff and servers were very friendly. We were sat at a table inside and offered sparkling water. We ordered tap, a cappuccino, and 2 fresh juices. I kind of expected the juice to be fresh in house, but it was bottled. We both ordered the chilaquiles with pulled chicken and a side of the apple cider pancakes. The chilaquiles were basic tortilla chips with a runny egg a blended sauce and less than two oz of chicken. Here are my issues the runny egg had not only the yolk runny but also the white was runny. The tortilla chips were a little soggy and the whole thing didn’t have much flavor. I wanted something fresh and flavorful and that just wasn’t it. The biggest disappointment was that this dish had about 1 oz of chicken. I don’t even know what to say for the price to not even get a full serving of protein was a big disappointment. The apple cider pancakes were a bit dry but the maple syrup is fresh and delish. I just can’t believe that for a brunch that was over $100 I left feeling hungry.

Recently, I had a refreshing restaurant experience that truly stood out. My friends and I chose this spot for our girls' night out. The food was intriguing, with highlights like the delectable yellow beet soup adorned with spicy oil and pomegranate seeds, as well as the daily beef cut served alongside apple puree and zucchini noodles. The ambiance, enriched by captivating artworks and ambient lighting in the SPA hotel setting, made the evening even more special. To top it off, the coconut panna cota dessert, delicately sweet and complemented by a fruit compote, left us with a perfect ending to a memorable night. An exquisite taste indeed!

This place was great. We enjoyed all the food, the only down side was that the kitchen took way too long (35mins) between appetizers and mains. Otherwise, service was great and food was also tasty.

Yelp
Great breakfast and service!!! So glad we popped in here after our hot air balloo ride. I loved the tagine breakfast dish, and he enjoyed the benedict.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Restaurant was oddly empty, which I felt really bad for; imagine it's hard off season in a hotel. Service was slower than molasses- maybe because we were the only ones there? Or they thought we wanted time as a group? It was a 3 hour dinner Nothing bad to say but not sure if search out the restaurant to go back. And we live in town. I had expected more because Bardessono is a quality hotel.

Yelp
Stunning location. We came on an empty Monday afternoon and soaked up the serenity in the beautiful outdoor seating area. The indoor area is just as gorgeous, and it's worth mentioning that their bathroom is impressively advanced, both functionally and technologically. You'll see what I mean, lol. For cocktails, we tried the FN-70 and the Strawberry Swing ($17 each). Both were good. For food, we ordered guacamole ($17), shrimp tacos (3 for $27), and an ahi tuna sandwich with housemade chips ($30). Everything was delicious and well-balanced, but the housemade chips fell short for me--they tasted very stale. I'd get a different side next time. Although our orders also had a few mix-ups, the server was very kind overall, and we enjoyed our experience here. I'll be back for the ambiance and to try other menu items!

Yelp
On our seventh and final dinner on our Napa trip (and sixth in Yountville), we went to Lucy Restaurant & Bar at the Yountville Resort, which was located across from where we stayed at the Maison Fleurie. While I was still pretty full from the meals we had earlier that day, in addition to all the wine we sampled, I enjoyed their grilled duck and some refreshing cocktails as the temperatures cooled down at night. The Liquid Courage cocktail made me feel bold and strong, strong and bold with citrus and tropic flavors, whole the Bebop and more dark fruit complexity. The pan-seared Liberty Farms duck breast was wicked good and not too heavy, given my belly was still digesting the earlier meals. While we were initially seated inside, we asked to be seated outside due to the louder-than-appreciated political conversation taking place a couple of tables from us that was souring our evening. The service was also slower than I anticipated, and it wasn't even a packed house inside and out. Those were a couple of the frustrations we encountered on the last night of our dining experience. But overall, the meal was good.

Yelp
Parking on the street. We had brunch reservations for 6 people at 9am. The place was beautiful, I especially loved the elegant bathrooms.  We sat inside. Ordered Chai Latte, it was creamy and full of flavor. Also ordered their omelette with ham, cheddar and pepper. with crispy roasted potatoes. Everything tasted delicious.  Will have to bookmark this place to come back, and will ask to sit outside next time.

Yelp
This spot was delicious! Right in the heart of Yountville, I've passed by many times but only recently tried it out after a friend's recommendation. I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you're in town and looking for a delicious bite with a private and elegant setting. The salad was well seasoned and super fresh--loved the addition of beets. The chilaquiles were nicely spiced and the tortilla chips were super flavorful and well covered in the salsa. The burger is a MUST, super plump patty and perfectly crispy fries. And to top it all off, the drinks were fantastic!

Yelp
We found Lucy during our weekend in Napa and went in for brunch. Our experience was wonderful! They were kind enough to serve a few housemate pastries because there was a birthday in our party. Those pastries were impeccable! We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. Our server was extremely attentive and very pleasant. The restaurant is located in the Bardessono Hotel & Spa and the scenery and decor are amazing. Definitely one of our favorite meals during our Napa weekend.

Yelp
We went here for breakfast many months ago and it was wonderful. We wanted to come back and try the bar. I'm delighted. We arrived around 8pm on a Friday night and the bar was a quiet elegant place to be. We sat outside by the fire pit in the patio. More like a table/waterfall with a fire in the middle of it. The breeze blew the warm air towards us and it was delicious.... as were the drinks. The atmosphere was both intimate and relaxing. The staff were attentive and respectful and spoke in calm tones. It gave the experience a spa like atmosphere.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas were very pleasant. We came here on a weekday, so it was pretty quiet and empty. Throughout the night, there was only one other party in the restaurant. We ordered the Roasted Chicken, Short Ribs, Halibut, and a side of mushrooms. They also gave us Chips and Guacamole on the house because the chicken would've taken a bit longer to come out. Everything here wasn't bad. - The roasted chicken was pretty dry, but the flavor that the creamy sauce gave it was good. - The halibut also wasn't bad. - The short ribs were my favorite. They were very tender, and the sweet and salty flavor kind of seemed Asian-inspired. - The mushrooms were delicious, but they were pretty salty. They tasted great paired with the entrees though. - The guacamole was also delicious. It was light and creamy. Overall, had a great meal here. The food wasn't bad, and the ambiance and service really made for a relaxing dining experience.

Yelp
It's a OMG yes!!!! This place has some really delicious homemade fresh butters. Their brunch is so good!!! Each time my boyfriend and I stay at Barasso, I always get room service and their food is from Lucy's and will say their croissants sandwich with some home style potatoes is to die for. I'm such a picky eater and I'm so particular in everything I eat. This place always hit home run for me. Last time we had an actually sit down at Lucy's was 2 years ago for Valentine's Day weekend. They had a set menu, I believe it was a 5 course meal and it was amazingly splendid. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Ah Lucy. We had an impromptu dining experience here, after the Yountville Art & Wine Sip and Stroll event. First off, this is a beautiful property nestled right in the heart of Yountville. It is located within the Bardessono Hotel. We opted to have a late afternoon, early dinner on the patio. The patio was beautiful and relaxing adorned with fire features next to a pool and plenty of Napa valley/Yountville aesthetic. All in all our experience was lovely and our service was perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Staff super friendly great cocktails. Was a little disappointed in the food here but with all the great competition in walking distance we will eat off the property next time.

Yelp
Lucy's is located inside of the Bardessono hotel. We came here midweek for lunch and sat inside. Our male server was very nice and knowledgeable. The service overall was excellent from the host to the server. We had the elite to start which was delicious. The chips were warm and fresh. The shrimp tacos and the crispy chicken sandwich were both really good as well. The bread on the sandwich gets a little soggy unfortunately, but just minor complaint. We would definitely come back and sit outside on a beautiful day.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic experience! The drinks were amazing, and even though we had eaten earlier and didn't have a chance to try the food, the service was outstanding. We enjoyed sitting by the fire with the waterfall table - such a cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to come back and try the food next time!

Yelp
A great restaurant in an amazing hotel. Breakfast at Lucy's is always fresh and well balanced filled with all the nutrients you'll need to continue your wine country adventure. since we stayed at the hotel, we had breakfast here every day during the week. Our lazy pool day lunch order, which also comes from Lucy's restaurant, was equally delicious. A bonus for all dog lovers who brought their puppos with them, there's a doggy menu!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a smaller size restaurant (inside), but nice. Please note that it was mid February and raining. I'm sure that during warmer times they open their doors to the patio (which is beautiful). The service was really good. Very friendly hostess showed us our table and offered selection of wine. The waiter was efficient, knowledgeable and professional. The meals arrived promptly and as we requested them. The food was great! Nice presentation and very tasty! We had tuna appetizer, pasta and halibut. Everything was super good. Just a side note- we had our breakfast next morning at Lucy's but it was a completely different staff, different service and not so good experience. Dinner is way to go.

Yelp
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner there. Upscale restaurant in Yountville at the hotel. Valet parking at extra charge. Our reservation was right when they opened. Amazing service in the beginning when it was not busy. But as it got later and busier, had to flag down our waiter several times and long wait times before someone came back to us. Food is delicious and presented beautifully. I had the trout. Hubby had the short ribs. We had the arancini balls as an app. The truffle aioli is yummy! Sides of mushroom and broccolini. Very plentiful sides and the veggies were simple but fresh with a nice bite. Extensive cocktail menu - we had the tequila ones. Wanted to switch it up after drinking wine all day. Overall having been to several Yountville restaurants, I did enjoy my experience here. Inside is lovely: very Romantic. I would choose to come back here instead of RH for example.

Yelp
Okay so dinner was disappointing but the breakfast was top notch! Very fresh and tasty, we got the fruit plate, pastry basket and eggs Benedict! All were delicious. We had it delivered to the room and it was worth it.

Yelp
Me and my Grandpa from Calistoga, we ended up here but surprised that this place was better than we expected! Really romantic and classy, I would come back!! Foods was making fresh! Service really professional!

Yelp
A must when you are in Yountville!!! You can't go wrong here with the food or just grabbing a drink and sitting in their beautiful courtyard area. My drink was so delicious I got the bebop and id you like sweet but refreshing drinks this one is for you! For dinner we all had the halbit and wow that sauce is so delicious but ao unique!! You can tell the ingredients are so fresh and seasonal here. I highly recommend coming here for dinner if you can as the service is also phenomenal!!!

Yelp
If I had a half star option I'd give Lucy 3.5 stars. -Food - the food was delicious and worth 5 stars we ordered the eggs benedict & chicken sandwich. Both were great! -Drinks - good and worth 4 stars but a huge negative was my friend asked the server what rye was and she didn't understand what he was asking or even offer to ask someone to find out. -Services - very slow. we gave ourselves close to 2 hrs for lunch and were concerned we might be late for our wine tasting apt due to the slow service. Our server seemed to be new and not have nearly enough training but it wasn't just our server it was others too. We had to ask 3 different people for another drink (including our server and the manager) then we had to ask 3 different people for the check. When dining at a restaurant in a hotel where the room rates are over 2k a night..I really expect better service.

Yelp
Great food in a hotel in the neighborhood in Yountville. It was close to my B and B and was happy vm to not be in a crazy Main Street restaurant. The food was tasty!

Yelp
If not staying at Bardessono I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here. First of all, you might be met by a very unfriendly hostess at the hostess stand - such a cold reception and not a good start to our visit at all. Didn't acknowledge the request on my reservation to sit outside, but I didn't want to have to deal with her attitude any further so I didn't bring it up as she was seating us. The valet guys were good though (free valet parking) and our server was fine. Nothing outstanding about the breakfast food that would make me want to come back, but everything tasted okay to me. We got their spinach and mushroom omelette, smoked salmon, house-made granola, and a side of fruit. Would be nice if their granola came with fruit and if they had a selection of mocktails on their menu. FYI they have both breakfast and brunch on the weekend. If you are wanting to try food from their brunch menu, make sure to make your reservation for 11:30 a.m. or later.

Yelp
The braised beef and carbonara pasta hmmm was my favorite of the night! It was so good. Ordered the duck too it was ok for me. Service was was exceptional and the ambiance was quiet and clean. ! I would love to come back.

Yelp
In a town with no shortage of culinary delights, Lucy stands out as a place that feels elegant, but accessible. We had a reservation here Friday night and chose a cozy table on the patio with a romantic view of the sunset and gorgeous water features. We started with a delicious bowl of miso soup that we requested to share. Our server had the kitchen split it into two bowls and each portion was plenty. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was amazing. Husband ordered the lamb, which he also loved. For dessert, he opted for apple pie a la mode, while I had a decadent, fudgey ice cream sandwich. Tip: Treat yourself to a refreshing spring lychee cocktail.

Yelp
10/22/22 Lunch Situated in the beautiful Bardessono Hotel, Lucy's would not have been my first choice for lunch. Truth be told my husband picked it. It worked out though because parking in this area is non-existent, and this property has free valet parking. We were seated in an empty restaurant. You'd think service would have been better since they did not seem busy but it was adequate. They seemed to be preparing for dinner service even though it was only noon. We ordered the truffle fries, Ahi Tuna Sandwich and Crispy Chicken Sandwich. All of it was freshly made and delicious. The truffle fries were sprinkled with truffle powder which I've never had before. It was much better than being tossed in truffle oil. Less greasy. The chicken sandwich tasted better than what you'd get at any chain restaurant, but IMO the bread was too thick. The chips that accompanied it were a nice touch. The Ahi Sandwich was fresh and beautiful prepared. One of the better ones we've had. Overall a pleasant lunch but unfortunately nothing outstanding.

Yelp
Great hospitality from Nestor, Chris, and Yoel! Cocktails were great and the food was delicious. My fiancé and I were sat at the bar and it was a relaxed, quiet evening for the both of us.
google avatar

Robert R.

Yelp
The worst nice dinner I've ever had. The only reason they received two stars is the service. Every dish lacked seasoning and flavor. I've never seen chicken strips for kids served that overcooked. Cocktails were good though. Really with so many good restaurants in the area save yourself some disappointment.

Ron M.

Yelp
Went to Lucy for lunch with some friends and really enjoyed ourselves. The food was great like the last time as was the service and ambiance. Great outdoor eating area with ample protection from the sun, We'll be back soon to try more of their great cocktails and food.
google avatar

Kosmo Z.

Yelp
The service was good, but could've been more attentive by the server. Everyone was very friendly. We've ordered a lot of things along with cocktails. The portions were a lot larger than I expected. I liked my lavender cocktail, but wish it was less sweet. The miso soup was interestingly fancy. Another thing that stood out was they had a lot of house made items.
google avatar

Eddie D.

Yelp
An impromptu breakfast after a balloon ride at Lucy's turned out to be a wonderful meal. I'm not a big fan of hotel restaurants as they often lack on experience, personality and service tends to be cold and impersonal. We had a warm and friendly waitress and the food was another surprise. The chilaquiles were outstanding. We had both the chicken and chicken w chorizo chilaquiles.

Yelp
Made reservations over the phone for our group of 8- we had to sit at split tables because of COVID safety precautions (max 6 people per table). Our group consisted of all healthcare workers, so we had all been fully vaccinated for weeks, but I still appreciated the precautions that the restaurant was taking. Our servers brought out complimentary assorted pastries for each of our tables because we were celebrating a birthday- so generous and thoughtful of them! They were also extremely attentive throughout our time there. Everything on the menu was excellent and tasted so fresh/healthy. The lemon ricotta pancakes were my favorite in particular, really light and flavorful, didn't even need syrup. Thank you Lucy for a wonderful experience! PS they have the most amazing bathrooms featuring heated toilet seats and Ren products

Yelp
Overall this is more than a 1 star in actuality( like 1.5), but since my expectations were at an all time high, it calls for a dramatic rating of 1 to get my point across. 1. The music. Why??? Why the music? Why 24/7? Breakfast, lunch, and dinner?? The saxophone (which I truly have nothing against) pierced my ears with sleepiness and boredom. I get it.. it's a FANCY PLACE! (pinky finger pointed and near lips) but damn, this music was horrendous. We begged them to change the song when nobody else was in the restaurant because people were falling asleep on the table. 2. The customer service: most all people were nice enough, but several key a-holes with a lack of common sense blessed us with their presence and their sh*t eating grin attitude will forever remain a buried treasure in my cerebral cortex. 3. Common sense: what the hell is up with protocol vs. common sense? In these fancy places it was like a symposium of DHs got together (d*k heads) and came up with a one size fits all rule sheet that was blessed by the CDC themselves. Look, I get it. Certain OUTDOOR SEATS are reserved for "dining guests". Oh trust me, I do understand this logic. But picture this: (enter Spielbergs 1MM dollar camera panning down over the entire beautiful outdoor dining area) Approximately 15.5 outdoor seats with magnificent fire pits and heating lamps spewing out the perfect amount of flame to keep a human being warm while they eat their 200 dollar plate of butter lettuce in the 48 degree weather. Now picture every single one of these tables empty. Not a soul in site, not even in the hostess's queue! Okay, now imagine walking over and sitting in one of these empty 15.5 seats after purchasing (2) 29 dollar lattes for you and your wife AFTER dropping 2,400 per night on a room (plus tax and VAT), and finally, imagine a server SPRINTING to this same table demanding you to leave due to the fact that the tables are for "dining guests only." Now guys, like I said, I get it! I too also run a business and have RULES!! I have PROTOCOLS!! I mean, for without rules we would simply be a country of mere SAVAGES! (So gross!!!). But the law of 'Common Fk'n Sense' reads the following: "Let the mthfkr sit at the mthfkn warm table!!" Lucy gets two thumbs down: - 1 thumb for the saxophone that killed every man's game before he even got a chance to get his girl tipsy on the $400 bottle of 1999 cab he reserved 9 months ago - 1 thumb for the genius and must have threatened the minimum wage servers life in prison if she gave up a fire pit seat without a reservation made 19 months in advance Entrepreneurs wanting to open a restaurant: I highly recommend LUCY if you'd like to know all of the things not to do when opening up your 5 star venues.

Yelp
This restaurant is a VIBE! Service was outstanding. The food was incredible. The setting was private and overall ambiance was calm and relaxing. Valet parking validated with dinner. Individual bathroom private suites were the most fabulous luxury! You don't feel like you're in a hotel, you feel like you're on a Mediterranean oasis off the coast of Italy.

Yelp
An underwhelming evening started out promising. We were seated in a great location outdoors next to the water feature on a warm night, and greeted promptly by a server who brought water and took our drink order. Ordered the shishito pepper appetizer after our server reviewed some of his recommendations from the menu - we enjoyed but the portion was almost too big for two to share. I got the rice crusted scallops in the appetizer portion, which was plenty. Visually, the plate was stunning, but the scallops themselves were unseasoned and flabby, the rice crust did not stay on (and wasn't very flavorful either). The red curry sauce was very good though. After entrees we ordered dessert - and waited and waited. Finally, we flagged down a server and asked for it to be cancelled or boxed to go. He said it would be comped and was very sorry. Eventually we got the dessert and bill and headed out. I am always a bit skeptical of restaurants in hotels as they have a bit of a captive audience. Setting was lovely and dessert (salted Caramel cake w gelato) and cocktails (lucky cucumber and lofi spritz) were the positives. Unfortunately, with so many other nearby options, I would not recommend or return unless the service improved dramatically.

Yelp
We came here for brunch, and they had great service and good food. Although a fancy establishment, I didn't get the snooty vibe and everyone was friendly. I had a simple cobb salad with chicken, but man it was ginormous. After a while, I almost got tired of chewing bc it was so big. Good sign as most fancy places offer very little portions. Not here! Hubby had the tacos and he said it was ok, but they looked pretty big. Friend had a burger and added the egg; he said it was good. Parking can be a challenge, but it's not the worst. The only thing I would note is if you are pressed for time (wine tasting after) let the server know in advance. I had allotted two hours between brunch and our first wine tasting but brunch took longer than I had anticipated. I thought we'd be done faster, but it took the entire two hours, not bc the servers were not attentive, I just think this place has the 'relax/chill/enjoy your meal' vibe. I would come back again!

Yelp
Delicious food. Beautiful ambiance and really gracious staff. The staff is professional, kind, helpful, they take reservations - recommended I'm sure. Good selection of food!

Yelp
So many good things to say about Lucy. Our waiter Gabriel was so kind and friendly. Took amazing care of us. The food was delicious and I felt it was a reasonably priced menu with unique offerings. Would absolutely recommend and will be returning.

One of my favorite brunches in the Napa Valley. Situated in the beautiful Bardessono hotel, Lucy is a beautiful gem with affordable food worth much more than its price tag. We came here for Friday brunch and were graciously welcomed by the hotel staff. Our tables were outside on the patio surrounded by the gorgeous landscaping providing shade alongside the water feature. Our seats had the perfect combination of privacy and openness because despite being outdoors, the venue felt intimate. To begin, we ordered the local cheese and charcuterie which did not disappoint. They were extremely generous with their portions and selection of cheese and meat. Two pieces of the chipotle shrimp tacos were more than enough to fill up. I could not decide between the Porchetta sandwich and the Nashville style crispy chicken sandwich, so I decided to get both. Both came with a generous amount of crispy potato chips. Both sandwiches managed to maintain their crispy exterior and juicy interior as well. Overall - great brunch which I highly recommend to anyone visiting Napa valley November 2020

Yelp
Lucy I think I love you! Looking online we couldn't get a reservation, but we decided to walk in and see what we could do. Well aren't we glad we did! They have a wonderful art collection, which of course I really enjoyed and the menu was delightful too! The interior is very contemporary, clean and inviting. Everyone it waited on us was wonderful, and happy and happy we were there. We started with the Burrata salad was delicious. I would order it again! I don't know where they buy the Barada but it was really quite good. I had the shrimp tacos for lunch because they said they made the corn tortillas there and I was really glad I had them. Read out a good old hamburger with truffle fries and I have to admit I stole a few of them, maybe more than a few of them, as they were delicious. I wish I had room for their desserts because everything looked good. Now ~ the big question: " would I go there again?" Most definitely, but call and don't rely on open table.

Yelp
Excellent lunch today at Lucy's. Lovely ambiance, creative menu, beautiful presentation and ample portions. We shared a number of dishes, and they were all delicious.

Yelp
Lucy, I'm home! Lol. Man, what an incredible place. In advance of our morning wine tasting, my sister entrusted me to find us a suitable breakfast. I am pleased to have chosen Lucy's, the restaurant within the exclusive Bardessono Hotel & Spa. We arrived hungry for our 8:45 A.M. reservation and were ushered to an outdoor table. I ordered an omelet, of course. The sister got avocado toast, and the brother-in-law got the breakfast hash. In hindsight, I would have really liked the hash (poached eggs, sweet potatoes, kale, sausage, and toast). That will have to be for next time. Today was about the omelet. For this omelet, I think Applewood smoked bacon would've done better than the ham, but this is a minor complaint. I was impressed by the cheddar cheese; it did not overpower the other flavors, and it wasn't packed on too thickly. You could taste the freshness in each of the ingredients. The marbled potatoes were delicious and aplenty. I ordered wheat toast on the side, and toast it was -- this was cooked well done. Despite being hard to chew, I enjoyed the accompaniments of citrus butter and berry jam. Of course, coffee was involved. It was poured hot in a charming cup and served on a saucer. Does that make the coffee taste better? Probably. It was an excellent meal all around, and I know we'll return one day for more breakfast. However, there is an honorable mention that must be recognized. Lucy's bathrooms are incredible. Next to the hostess's table, you will find a circular room composed of individual bathrooms. Pick a door, any door, but tread carefully: not all of the bathrooms are the same. Some are equipped with a standard toilet and sink. Others, however, contain facilities of the future. See for yourself. You'll know what I mean. Until next time, Lucy. We'll be back.

Yelp
Food was great (albeit the menu wasn't very extensive). Service was terrible. Ambience was just ok.

Yelp
My favorite thing about Lucy is the nice outdoor seating. There's a very peaceful outdoor area with water and greenery! When the sun is out, it creates such a relaxing environment! If I could, I would sit outside all day and just relax with a nice book and a glass of wine there! I came here for a group lunch with my coworkers today. We had a reservation and was seated right away. My table shared the ahi tuna and the kimchi brussel sprouts. The ahi tuna came with a seaweed salad on tortilla chip. I loved the fresh bite of the ahi tuna and the crunch from the tortilla chip. The brussel sprout was flavored well with the housemade Kim chi, which I was really surprised! Great appetizers to start the meal! For my entree, I had the House Made Orechiette. According to the menu, it was a fall vegetable bolognese! What a pleasant twist on a traditional bolognese! The orecchiette was el dente, which I like because it gives the pasta a nice chew. I also really enjoyed the roasted squash purée flavor and the baby kale in the dish. Although it was a pasta dish, it wasn't a super heavy lunch and I was able to indulge! My coworkers had the Cobb salad, steak frites, fork rolled gnocchi, and fish and chips! I didn't try them, but everybody loved their food and was really satisfied and happy! Overall, great dining experience from start to finish! My coworkers and I loved the food and the atmosphere!

Yelp
Super dog-friendly restaurant and hotel. We made a reservation for outside with our pup, but it was raining and when we valet our car the guy told us the place was super dog friendly. I fully expected to have to leave our pup in the car but not only did they let us sit inside but they have a doggy menu, beef, and carrots for the pup! Seriously, the service was friendly and it was great to get out to Napa and sit inside while watching the rainfall. The food was good, not great, the burger was very nice, the fries a bit meh. The Ceasar salad was fresh and crispy. The shrimp tacos were a disappointment, it was basically mostly cabbage and very little shrimp, and incredibly messy to eat. I'd love to come back and eat in the garden when the sun is out. The hotel looks incredibly posh, the bathrooms had Japanese toilets and great toiletries at the restaurant, so I imaging the hotel itself is great. Everyone was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Had a breakfast at Lucy on a Saturday. Service is excellent! We ordered omelette and breakfast hash, with a side of bacon and fresh fruit. I like omelette but wasn't a big fan of this time around, not sure if it's the flavor of the cheese (aged cheddar), the smoked ham flavor didn't stand out much. I enjoyed the breakfast hash, slightly greasy but great flavor. Bacon was little over cooked. Restaurant has free valet parking, or street parking. Reservations are recommended if you're not hotel guests. The party in front of us were turned away. If you enjoy a quiet and relaxing dinning experience with excellent service, you should come to visit. Food: 3.5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
