Luke's Lobster Garment District

Although I’m not typically a fan of seafood, this restaurant truly impressed me. The highlight of my meal was the red lobster roll with shrimp on hot butter—it was absolutely amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the rich butter complementing the tender lobster and shrimp. The dish alone might just make me reconsider my stance on seafood. The ambiance of the restaurant was also warm and inviting, making for a great overall dining experience. Whether you’re a seafood lover or not, this place is worth a visit!

I’m no expert on lobster rolls, but this one was delicious. I got the Mainer, which also comes with clam chowder and the only issue I had with the chowder is I wanted more. The roll was overstuffed with lobster and the roll was great. It wasn’t soggy with butter like many I’ve had. It was a little pricey, but it’s NYC and its lobster, but it’s well worth the visit.

Quality over Quantity! On the list of items to try when I was travelling included Lobster Rolls. A road trip to Upstate New York was on the cards, but sadly did not materialise. As a result, I had to figure something out in New York City and it wasn't hard to find, as you can imagine. Luke's Lobster has its claim to fame as being the number 1 most voted lobster roll in the region. I happened to have seen an outlet by the Brooklyn bridge earlier, sadly though I had just eaten at the time. After a bit of searching, I came to realise they have an outlet right on Broadway right by Times Square. Given my time in the city was running out,I decided I just had to give it a go! After a twenty minute walk through the streets of the city, I reached what was a rather small entrance. Asides from the sign outside and a small black awning with the signage, not much would tell me this was the famous Luke's Lobster roll! Upon entering, I found some references to Maine with pictures on the wall and very little seating. I approached the counter and upon seeing the menu, was tempted to order the seafood trio where you get to try shrimp, crab and lobster. But being the one time to enjoy fresh lobster, I elected to go with just the one lobster roll. Available in different sizes, the prices as expected were steep. However, the quality of the lobster, the softness and buttery texture of the bread all made it worth the visit! In addition you get to choose from a couple of soft drinks, and I chose a spicy ginger ale that was unique, to say the least. Also included was a bag of sea salt chips, apt given the occasion and on going theme. Given I was still a bit hungry, I followed the wonderful sandwich a lobster bisque - a soup served with what they called oyster crackers and a couple of pieces of lobster inside. Flavourful and nice! Ideally, I would have appreciated more seating, but I understand given the location that real estate would be at a premium and we were lucky enough to not have to wait too long to be seated. Overall, a good experience to have fresh lobster while also supporting the sustainable cause given the brands ethical and philosophy. Be sure to check it out if you are in the Times Square District!

I have always loved Luke’s Lobster establishments. It had been over 5 years since I have been to one and am so glad to say this one exceeded all of my fond memories of how much I love this place! First off, let me say, the staff here is exceptional! The young woman behind the counter with the tattoos is by far the sweetest most welcoming angel ever! The rest of the crew also were just all smiles and warmth, and were so quick to help. Then comes time for the food and well the crab sandwich remains to be the best sandwich I can find anywhere!! I absolutely love this Luke’s Lobster and look forward to returning, even though it is quite a commute for me! Worth every penny and every second! (Also love that they have LGBTQ+ pride lobster pins! I love seeing supportive tolerant businesses!)

I just had my first lobster roll here and it was amazing! My daughter and I had the best chat with the store manager, Freddy, and then the district manager, Billy. They were both so nice. We also had clam chowder and lobster bisque. Both were ✨👌. It’s a must visit! The pic doesn’t even come CLOSE to doing this sandwich justice. (We ordered ours hot with butter only, no mayo.)

Stopped by here again today, Federico, the manager, is super friendly. I got the seafood trio, which I think is the perfect option as you get a little bit of everything. My order today was the perfect portion and delicious.

Ordered the Seafood trio and the clam chowder. The clam shower had some grit in it. Next time I’d get just the lobster and the crab. Shrimp was definitely from frozen. But the lobster and the crab were fresh and delicious. Portions were generous too

Good place to enjoy quick seafood. The lobster is okay, but no more, the roll can't quite redeem the quality. $30 for a small lobster roll, crisps and soda.
