I stopped by for dinner here and it was an amazing experience, from the drinks to the wings, ofc the pho and the unexpected incredible coffee flan. Everything came together perfectly. The pho was incredibly fragrant and felt nourishing, the wings had an amazing sauce on it, and the Bahn mi went perfect with the pho as a dip as well. The flan coffee dessert was so good that I ordered another one to go. I’m not a big fan of flan but this one might have opened me up to a new world.

Everything was sooo good! For apps, the salt and pepper squid was super crispy and flavorful. Hawker rice was delicious too. Lemongrass chicken was distinctly lemongrass flavored. Loved every bit of dinner. Such a giant piece of short rib with the UES pho. Definitely a neighborhood must go!

Lyly Vietnamese is a fantastic spot for pho lovers. The pho is excellent — rich, aromatic broth, tender meat, and perfectly cooked noodles that feel comforting and authentic. Every bite shows real care and quality. It’s no surprise that Lyly Vietnamese is mentioned in the Michelin Guide, as the food truly stands out. A must-visit for anyone craving great Vietnamese cuisine.

Really flavorful dishes depending on what you order. Cooked to perfection. The inside has a nice casual atmosphere as if you’re eating at an eatery in Saigon. Prices are usual New York fare with appetizers averaging $10-15 and entrees around $23. Also love their Thai iced tea because it’s not too sweet. Make sure to reserve in advance!

Got here at lunch time and luckily got a table for 4 right away. We have two young ones and the staff were so accommodating with crayons and coloring sheets. They checked to make sure the kids were good and provided kid friendly utensils and cups. Always a huge plus for me! The food was also delicious - my favorite was the crab cake in the hawker rice.

What a fantastic neighborhood gem! Highly recommend making reservations — especially on the weekends. Dined here on a Saturday night and was able to snag two seats at the bar (called ahead). Ball took care of us and was fantastic, attentive, and super knowledgeable. I have a gluten allergy, and my mom is vegan — we had absolutely zero issues ordering here. I got the shrimp summer rolls to start (sub regular sauce for fish sauce), and she opted for the vegan version. We both decided on vegan pho for our mains (which is already gluten free). Nourishing, filling, and a hug to yourself — we will definitely be back soon. The Michelin guide knew what it was talking about!

Just came here for dinner and loved it! For tonight, my friends and I just shared veggie spring rolls and I had my own chicken pho and it was delicious! The menu is quite extensive so there were approximately a bazillion other things I wanted to try so I will definitely be coming back. The restaurant is a little tight, but service is wonderful and the ambience is great - bright, cheery, and currently fall-themed. For a Monday night it was pretty busy (if not a teensy bit loud) which I think is probably a good sign! Would highly recommend you check it out.

Our friends made a reservation at Ly Ly Vietnam Cookhouse between First & Second Avenue ( but closer to Second) that was a rare treat for absolutely delicious Vietnamese cuisine. I highly recommend making a reservation because the dining room was filled with customers who knew they were very fortunate to be dining here. I know I was!

Very impressed with LyLy. -Cozy little restaurant. Make a reservation - it gets busy -Friendly, knowledgeable staff who are happy to share details on dishes in case you're unfamiliar with the cuisine or have any restrictions -Food was 5/5. The short rib and crab noodles were standouts. Get some bread (toasted to perfection) for the broths / sauces -I missed the pho and bahn mi options, but both looked great -Cocktails looked great as well 5/5. Welcome to the UES. So glad to have decent Vietnamese in the UES! We ordered: Salt and pepper squid- perfectly fried, not too batter heavy, and nice contrast from the pickled and sauteed veg that come with the dish. Portion is on the small size. Original pho (+ side order of short rib)- solid bowl of pho that hit the spot on a rainy day. Broth had nice depth of flavor. I really loved the smoky short rib as it added another dimension to the broth while also delivering unctuous meaty goodness. I'll definitely be back!

The crepe appetizer was definitely skippable, but the entrees were great. We ordered the crab soup from the Valentine's Day special menu and really enjoyed it. The Original Pho also hit the spot with generous amount of protein. I really appreciated the clean and relatively spacious bathroom for a rather small restaurant!

Very friendly and delicious sandwich; wish it included more variety of items inside (butter? pate? Hot pepper?) A bit one & dimensional on the sweet side, especially with the pickled veg being mainly sugar. But tasty in any case!

**3.5/5 stars** Not your traditional Vietnamese spot. The pho broth lacked that classic flavor, though the beef was fresh--without the traditional soup, it's just not pho to me. On the other hand, the lemongrass chicken salad was a standout--delicious and fresh! Small, cozy vibe, not ideal for a date but perfect for a casual catch-up with a friend. Cute cocktail menu, though we didn't try any. I'll be back for other dishes and drinks, but skipping the pho next time.

What a cute little spot!! The first thing I noticed about the food are the colors - so many fresh greens in every dish Spring rolls were crunchy and the dipping sauce was well seasoned. Our cocktails were so so refreshing! I got a mezcal drink because I love that smoky flavor, my family opted for more minty drinks which were great palate cleansers We shared a few entrees including a pork dish which was very flavorful, a wagyu beef dish with sweet and salty sauce, and a lovely fish with dill All in all very impressed by the flavors :) Prices range from 17-27 ish for entrees but I think it's good for the amount of food we got!!!

An adorable and hip date night spot with solid, satisfying Vietnamese classics. This place was something the upper east side desperately needed. We started with the summer rolls with tofu. They were delicious and came with a great peanut sauce. Next, we had the lemongrass tofu banh mi. We held the mayo so it would be vegan. The bread was fantastic - extremely fresh. Overall, the fillings could have been more generous, especially the jalapeño and tofu. Every component was really tasty, but we were hoping for a sandwich overflowing with goodies. The vegan pho was very good. It comes with steamed tofu and many fresh vegetables. The broth is bright and fresh and not overly salty. The stir-fried morning glory was fun and tasty, although the sauce was a little too salty. We also tried the nonalcoholic lychee martinis which were tasty and came in adorable glasses. Overall, we loved our meal here, and particularly appreciated that the vegan options were plentiful and clearly labeled, so we didn't have to wonder what secretly contained fish sauce. However, the brilliantly conceived interior and wonderful service honestly had us expecting that the food would be even more delicious and innovative than it actually was. That being, we devoured everything and will definitely be returning.

I've been waitinggggg for a Vietnamese restaurant to open up in the UES! I frequently visit Vietnaam on 89th, but it is unfortunately only take-out. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant whenever I want to dine-in; I'm excited to head back and try their salt & pepper squid and pho! Workers were also super kind and actively engaged in conversation while my friend and I were waiting for a table. I went on a Sunday at around 2:30 PM and the restaurant was surprisingly still full. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table of two, and other guests quickly followed in line for a table right after us. I had the grilled pork bun salad, which was extremely refreshing. It had a perfect balance of protein, veggies, and noodles. Sometimes there aren't enough noodles in this dish, but that was not the case here. I did ask for extra peanuts, which elevated the dish. I do think it needs more fish sauce on the side, so would definitely recommend others to ask for more! This item is probably one of my favorite bun salads in the city! My friend got a vietnamese iced coffee and the original pho. She thoroughly enjoyed the pho, especially on a cold January day, but said the iced coffee wasn't anything special. They come in cute cups, though! They also have an extensive alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage menu, which I would love to try when I return.

Wow!! So excited already to return to Lyly!! You have to get the Hanoi pho!! It is actually life changing!!! I went to Lyly on a busy Friday night and was able to get seated right away. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I started with the salt and pepper squid and it was great! The squid was fried perfectly,Not too friend but had enough crisp and flavor. The veggies that came with it were sauced and seasoned to perfection. I didn't want to finish the dish! Then the star of the show,the Hanoi pho! I mean wow! I would skip the original and go straight to the Hanoi, the flavors and the garlic broth were like a hug for my tastebuds! The best part was having leftovers the next day !! They had a cool cocktail menu and all the drinks came in fun glassware!

Finally got to stop by LyLy for dinner! It was crowded and we had to wait about 10 mins for a table. This spot was the old Sandro, and I actually like LyLy's decor and layout. The service was excellent. From the host and our server who were all accommodating and attentive. We ordered the Hanoi Pho, shakin beef and the morning glory. The Hanoi pho was delicious! I love their rice noodles, and the broth. The broth was so warming and delicious! The shaking beef was also delicious! I had to ask for the watercress to be fully cooked as it actually comes raw. Our server made sure everything that comes to us were all fully cooked. I appreciated that. The morning glory side was also delicious however it was such a small dish. Wish the portion was bigger! My only complaint is that the table size is so small. Once we had 2 dishes on the table we had to constantly rearrange to fix the dishes. Otherwise I loved the food and service was excellent. Also if you go before Dec 23, they still have their 20% soft opening discount !

I am overjoyed that a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant is in the UES! We have been here 2 times in the same week and already can't wait to come back! I love that it's already doing well and it's always a packed house for dinner! Both the Classic and Hanoi Pho are outstanding but I find myself craving the Hanoi Pho. Appetizer wise both the Ba's Shrimp Rolls and salt and pepper squid are near perfection. The Shrimps rolls are a must and the salt and pepper squid is very lightly sauced and I LOVE that it's not over sauced. I have gotten green tea and ginger tea and they are both amazing. Seriously you won't be disappointed by this place because the atmosphere is wonderful and fun and all the staff are such a joy to talk to. This place is going to be revisited by me over and over again!

Salt and pepper squid - initial bite it was good but then realized certain pieces were overly salted. 3/5 Hawker rice - wife really enjoyed this 5/5 Original Pho - good but wish it had tendon and tripe 4/5 This is going to be my go to pho spot on the UES

I've been dying to find a good Vietnamese restuarant in UES and was really excited when I got a notification about this restaurant opening up nearby. We stopped in for lunch and I was really pleased with first impressions. The restuarant is very cute, clean, and spacious. I love the layout and the staff were so welcoming and nice. The menu had all the essentials and I decided to get a banh mi. I was a little disappointed to find that they didn't have dairy-free options for their Thai tea yet but they did say they planned on having oatmilk available in the near future. The sandwich was very tasty, all of the components had great flavor and were very fresh! The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the bread got soggy on the bottom, and there was no pate. However, they did say that pate was also going to be an option in the future. As for highlights, the pork was excellent, the bread had great flavor and the veggies were fresh and crisp. The fried rice cracker that comes on the side was a very welcome addition and did elevate the dishes textures and flavors. I can't wait to come back and order my banh mi with pate. The meal was also great value.

LyLy is everything I want from a local Vietnamese restaurant! Excellent food, good vegetarian options (most of which are vegan), solid service, and reasonable prices. The food brought us right back to our recent trip to Vietnam, though with some herbs understandably substituted based on availability in NYC; lots of Thai basil instead of shiso and Vietnamese mint. It's booked solid on Friday and Saturday evenings, so be sure to make a reservation.

LyLy is an adorable little spot right off the corner of 81st and 2nd. My parents have long been anticipating its opening, and today, I finally got to tag along to try it! Once you enter, we were greeted warmly by the hostess, as well as the owner. It was like walking in to someone's home. Our waitress was soft-spoken and extremely kind, and was also very attentive. The interior is also just as gorgeous as the exterior, and is very clean and comfortable. We started off our meal with two orders of stir-fried morning glory, which was basically addictive. It's stir-fried with garlic and ginger, both flavors you can taste in every bite. It was perfect and just what I needed! I also ordered some freshly brewed lotus tea, which came with one free refill. While the rest of my table ordered their banh mi sandwiches, I ordered the tofu and mushroom bún. The ingredients were fresh and again, the flavors were incredible. The tofu had a subtle crisp on the outside from being pan-fried, and was perfectly spiced. I'm so happy this place opened. It's not only affordable, it's also a very convenient location for those who live around the area. It's about time we got a Vietnamese place like this! If you're in the area, DO NOT SLEEP on LyLy! Definitely go here if you want a top-notch Vietnamese experience.

Lyly continues to be so good! I went back and tried their OG pho and the fried squid. Absolutely delicious - loved the texture of the fried squid paired with fresh veggies and the meat portioning for the pho was solid!

Best pho and Vietnamese food that I've had in Manhattan. I've been incredibly disappointed in the Vietnamese offerings in NYC and came to LyLy skeptical of how white washed the food could be. Lo and behold - it was everything I wanted and more. I did make the mistake of ordering the dishes in Vietnamese, which confused (maybe terrified) my server, but they took it in stride. Everything was delicious and while not the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, it is easily the best I've had in NYC. I loved the UES pho with the bone in short rib, a smokey and tender meat, as well as the banh xeo (a crispy and savory Vietnamese crepe). We also got an order of greens (morning glory) which were top notch. The only thing I didn't love was the cha ca (dill, turmeric, and fish on a hot stone) as the stone didn't come out hot and the oil, dill, and turmeric wasn't well infused. We took it to-go and it was excellent when I redid it at home. This dish is OK overall, as I haven't seen many restaurants in the OC/LA, or San Jose get this right either - maybe just in Hanoi! The service and staff were wonderful and I'm excited to frequent again and again. My husband and I are already plotting out everything we want to try on the menu. It's easily accessible off the Q line and I highly recommend a reservation, as it's getting increasingly popular. The space isn't too large, with a few tables along the right wall that can accommodate slightly larger parties. Otherwise the tables can be a little small and feel a little cramped with all our winter coats. If it's still in the soft opening phase it's 20% off, which is insane. It's worth it even without any discounts, truly.

Noticed a new Vietnamese restaurant opened up nearby, so had to check it out! As a big fan of Vietnamese food, my standards are high, and this place didn't disappoint. We ordered the banh xeo, Hanoi pho, and lump crab meat noodles. I really liked the banh xeo and Hanoi pho! The Hanoi pho is a must try and a bit different that normal Saigon pho that I'm used to. The broth is a bit sweeter. The service was great and the food came out really quickly. The restaurant had good vibes and had a very cozy feeling too.

This is a super cute Vietnamese restaurant with a reliable menu. We tried the bahn mi and chicken pho. Both were extremely good. I'll focus on the pho because that's what I ordered. Of course with pho it's all about the broth. One sip and I knew this was a proper pho broth. Tons of flavor. Add the basil, lime juice and chili oil and it's the best taste ever. The meat inside was a high quality mix of light and dark meat. Somehow they managed to keep the meat really moist, unlike many other chicken pho I've tried. The service was quick even though every table was packed. The vietnamese coffee was strong and creamy but also not too sweet. I can confidently recommend this restaurant!

So glad to have more Viet options in the UES! Although the food was between a 3-4 for me, it has so much potential to be more! The service and price performance bumped it up to a 4 nevertheless. Started off with their cha gio rolls and while the filling was flavorful, I wished the outside layer was hotter and crunchier. Their original pho featured a hearty broth that was on the sweeter side, but still solid for NYC standards. The wide noodles were slightly undercooked and it took a while for the beef slices to cook. If only the soup was hotter, then the noodles would be chewier and beef would be ready in time. The Lump Crab Noodles featured egg noodles in a sweet and savory sauce. While I appreciated the generous crab to noodle ratio, the crab pieces were mushy and could have been more fresh. The morning glory was well seasoned, but unfortunately could have been washed more thoroughly since we tasted sand in multiple different bites. Despite it being on the UES, prices were very reasonable and overall the store itself still gave off mom and pop vibes. As a new restaurant during its soft opening, there were some logistical hiccups here and there but I appreciated how staff proactively helped us with a wobbly table without us directly asking. If things were changed slightly with each dish we tried, it would have easily been a 4-5 rating so I look forward to returning at a later time.

Got tipped off to this new neighborhood Vietnamese on the UES. The restaurant was packed. They're doing a soft opening. The staff were working really hard and were very upbeat. The only negative about the restaurant is some minor issues with the space. The tables are very tight. We had a nice convo with a couple at the adjacent table. The woman directly behind us held forth in a stentorian voice that led me to believe that her husband was high, deaf or both. A little soundproofing would go a long way. The appetizers were awesome. The crepe was delicious. It was fun to wrap it in lettuce leaves. The shrimp rolls had a complex flavor and the crisp breading was great. My wife loved the chicken bun bowl. I wasn't as enthusiastic about it. The Saigon shaking beef was good. The sauteed morning glory was flavorful and spicy. The couple at the next table were working on pho and banh mi that looked awesome- that's what I'm going to try next time. Prices are inexpensive, especially for the quality. Happy to support this great new addition to the food scene.

Must try: Hanoi Pho, Summer Rolls, and Chim Rung Cocktail! Why: Hanoi Pho was different, in a good way. Protein was wok-fried garlic sirloin, which reminded me of my father's homemade garlic beef. The broth was light yet flavorful. Topped with tons of scallions and onions, which I love. Summer Rolls were fresh with good proportion of vermicelli, veggies, and shrimp. The peanut sauce was plentiful, which is always appreciated. It also reminded me of my mom's homemade peanut sauce. I washed it down with a Chim Rung Cocktail made with Hennessy, Pineapple, Grapefruit, and Lemon. I love Hennessy so this was a refreshing concoction to sip on throughout meal. Notes: It was their soft grand opening or "al-dente opening." Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and smiling from walking inside to finishing my meal. Front exterior was nice with artsy floral awning, and brick and wooden decor. Narrow restaurant with a good amount tables for small and medium sized parties. They also had seating at bar near entrance. One bathroom in the back that was spacious and clean. Waitress was wonderful providing great recommendations on her favorite dishes. She asked for feedback on the food and shared the chef is from Vietnam. My entire experience was fantastic. When receiving the check, they use Toast, which is super convenient to scan QR code and pay with ApplePay. You can even easily split check using this web app (you do not need to download app). Very happy and proud to see a Vietnamese restaurant on UES. Definitely coming back soon with friends to try other nostalgic dishes like Banh Xeo and Mi Xao.

Such a cute little spot, and the pho was delicious! The broth was really tasty. I usually prefer the skinnier rice noodles, but it was very good nonetheless!

Finally some good Vietnamese food on the UES! Started with the Vietnamese crepe (didn't grab a picture, we were too hungry so ate it immediately) - 5/5 for taste and texture, came with a lot of veggies and addicting nuoc chom sauce Had the shaking beef and UES pho. Shaking beef was perfectly tender, coated in a generous amount of sauce which worked so well with the dish and side of jasmine rice. UES pho was flavorful, herbal with a good zing and smokiness from the short rib which I enjoyed. Will definitely be back! Side note: brought in some bulky shopping bags after a target run and the host was so accommodating, helped me find a place to store it without me even asking!

What a great addition to the UES especially since Vietnaam changed to only take out food. Cute cheerful space with a full bar too. Despite being in their soft opening , the service was so friendly, prompt and professional. The 3 of us ordered two apps: the Vietnamese crêpe, and Dad's special shrimp rolls (3 in an order) to share. Then 3 entrees: lump crab noodles, shaking beef, grilled eggplant, and a side order of the stir fried morning glory vegetable. Loved every single dish and finished everything. Can't wait to go back to try all their dishes especially the bahn mi and pho. I highly recommend this new place. Such a great vibe with food and drink that excels. Call or text for a reservation.

This place has the BEST veggie pho I have ever had! The broth is so flavorful and rich. I got take out, and I would love to go back and have dinner in the restaurant. The inside looks very cute with some good looking drinks.

Ly Ly is unquestionably the best new addition to the UES... so much so that I am hesitant to write this review and share this fact with the world. We've been twice since it opened, and ordered takeout three times. Almost everything we've tried has been exceptional. You can't go wrong with any variation of pho, but the lump crab noodle dish is also a star. I also really enjoyed the tofu and trumpet mushroom bun salad on my most recent takeout order. For apps, the salt and pepper squid, beef wrapped in betel leaf, saigon wings, and ba shrimp rolls are all great. I'd say skip the summer rolls - they were kind of bland and one note. The saigon shaking beef was delicious - the sauce was out of this world - but it's not the biggest portion if you're hungry. We tried the flan dessert on our most recent trip and it was incredible. For drinks, I love the lychee (not) martini and my husband enjoys the Vietnamese coffee. We can't wait to try some of the funky cocktails on our next outing! Another thing that makes this place great is the people - it's clear they really care about the food and your experience. Couldn't recommend Ly Ly enough!

I ordered pick up for dinner service and will definitely be going back again. I've always had to go to the East Village, Chinatown and Flushing for Vietnamese food, but I no longer need to leave the neighborhood. We ordered a chicken bún salad, pork banh mi, papaya salad, spring rolls, and che thai. Everything was great (especially for take out) - the chicken and pork was tender and marinated well, nouc mam was fresh and not too sweet (would have liked a little more lime and heat). The pickled veggies were not too sweet and I really liked the dressed up papaya salad with the fried taro. The che thai is also not too sweet and I really like the chunky lychee and jackfruit slices. Looking forward to trying their pho next. Vietnamese food has finally come to the UES.

Soooo happy we have a new authentic Vietnamese spot in the neighborhood! The vegan pho is amazing and you can never go wrong with shrimp summer rolls! My new favorite spot for dine in and takeout :)

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in NYC!! If you're looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant, this is the place and you will never regret it. I've been here couple times since they opened and never disappointed my high expectations of the food. The food and drinks were amazing, I loved every single dish I've ordered and the service was the top notch! 5 stars for me.

I thought the original pho was too salty and also did not have a lot of noodles and meat for the price that they charge. Even though I went for dinner, it seemed like a small lunch portion.

LyLy is such an excellent addition to the UES! We enjoyed the salt and pepper squid and spring rolls which were both flavorful and crispy as well as the shaken beef and the short rib. The short rib had SO much flavor. Service was FAST and everyone was very sweet Really excited to go back and try more things off the menu both drinks and food!

So once you walk down the steps of the brownstone entrance you see a very cozy couch checker board floor establishment. Ordered the og pho it was yummy felt like a noodle hug. The hostess was very friendly. Love their music selection thought I was in a soul food place lol.

Great option for vietnamese food in the upper east side. Reasonable UES prices. Salt and pepper squid was crunchy and flavorful. I could have used slightly more kick with jalapeños but that's just me. UES Pho was tasty - the meat was tender and did fall off the bone. It had a smoky flavor just veering on the brink of being overly smoky and almost overpowering the pho broth flavor. Still delicious though. Grilled pork bun was done well. I am used to the vermicelli noodles being more at room temperature than warm but still a solid dish. Some mint can help brighten the dish as well. Will be back again.

So happy to see this in the neighborhood. Great ambiance, perfect for a date spot. They have great attention to detail- paintings that looked like were traditional scenes in Vietnam, but if you look closely, they have a cute NYC twist. Their cocktails look amazing and have cute mugs and garnishes. Service was good and everybody was so friendly. We tried the stir fried morning glory which was excellent and flavorful, and also had the bun bowl with tofu and king trumpet mushrooms, also delicious. The vegan pho was pretty good too. I also loved their dessert, which was pieces of lychee and mango and pandan jelly in coconut milk- unique and refreshing. Love that they have many vegan options on the menu and will definitely be back.

This new restaurant has friendly, warm and transporting energy and a true dine-in spot I was happy to visit for lunch. Very often in Yorkville you get businesses that really put in the bare minimum into their decor, signage and the in-house experience figuring that they will make most of their money on take out and home delivery orders which poisons so much of the dining scene in this area and other NYC neighborhoods that don't rely on a large number of tourists. From the moment you walk into LyLy, you notice the attention to detail with the scenic ethnic murals, plants, decorations and the good vibes from the holiday sweaters on staff to the tiki glasses used even for non-alcoholic drinks. I ordered the well-seasoned morning glory veggies and the crepe with shrimp and pork which turned out to be a perfect amount of food for me. I arrived on the early side for lunch but soon the place filled up with by UES standards, a diverse array of dining parties from a French family to a Chinese family, to visiting out of town parents with their adult children, local couples and friends catching up. Sometimes the best energy in NYC can be found on a sub freezing day because it brings out the intrepid and leaves the alte kakers at home (or wintering wherever). The staff was all universally friendly and cool, and helped dining patrons interchangeably and professionally with just the right amount of attention and pleasant interaction. Look forward to returning to try another warming dish and some cute tiki cocktails. The layout is great though if I could suggest anything perhaps add a heavy curtain at the door to minimize the draft for dining patrons. I haven't seen the bar area in action but it seems like that would be a hectic place to sit with the seats running along the entrance and perhaps best utilized for a quick drink as you wait for your table. In all, this is a really welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Wonderful ambiance, great tiki cocktails and can't wait to try everything on the menu. The service is outstanding, everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. This is the kind of restaurant that I will frequent in my neighborhood. Looking forward to my next visit.

Among international cuisines, one of my favorites is Vietnamese, especially pho. I have a few favorite spots in Manhattan, but tonight I decided to try LyLy near my office. I couldn't be happier with everything my party and I ordered, it was absolutely delightful! The service was also outstanding, and I can't wait to go back. The place is cozy and warm, making it the perfect spot for these freezing days in New York.

I have been writing TripAdvisor reviews since August 2014 and if you haven't ever seen them I'm a big ramen and pho head!! They are my top foods and I have ramen socks and a pho shirt!! I go to a pho place in the Bronx a lot and it's very good and this place opened two blocks away from where my parents live!! I'm broke but I live with them during breaks and they took me to dinner here last week when I was home!! The waitress was very nice and I got a Thai iced tea and steak pho and also summer rolls and it came out fast!! The place was very chill and was on a side street so there wasn't a lot of noise!!

Only tried two of their dishes, not sure if it is too quick to jump into conclusions. But their broth is great and on point. I am glad to see there is finally a good Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood that is not a take out place.

LOVED THIS PLACE. Finally a great Vietnamese restaurant in UES. I see myself coming back here every few weeks, doing take out, dining solo, bringing visitors, all of the above! The staff was lovely. Food was beyond fresh and tasty. Left feeling satisfied and nourished. Cannot recommend enough! I can't wait to go back and try new things :) do yourself a favor and head to Ly Ly!

Welcome to the neighborhood!! LyLy is a gem of a restaurant with a fantastic take on a Tiki cocktail list and amazing food. The Mai Tai was off the charts! Chicken wings, squid, UES Pho and crab noodle were top notch. The team was so hospitable and welcoming. Congrats on the opening and looking forward to many visits to come. Ps. The chili oil for pho is a must!

The food is fresh and fantastic, I ordered the pork bun salad, I wish there were more noodles in it but the flavor is amazing. The vibe and decor is awesome also, I hope this place lasts, it's so nice to have a nice Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood.

We ordered the Hanoi pho, the original pho, a pork banh mi, and vegetable spring rolls. Everything was amazing! The staff was incredible and so sweet.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We had the fish over vermicelli, papaya salad, a pho, the morning glory vegetable, and summer rolls. Food was stellar, and the staff, the hostess in particular, were beyond welcoming -- sweet and helpful. The prices are great too, particularly for this neighborhood. A real gem.

The Lemongrass Tofu Bahn Mi is really, really good, and comes with this amazing spicy sauce on the side. The prices are very reasonable.

Great food and service was fantastic . Did a great stylish design of interior . Very positive and friendly. Try the different dishes. Great addition to the Upper East side.

so delicious with such a lovely staff. had the vietnamese crepe, the chicken wings, some kind of crispy shrimp roll and pho and they were all incredible. can't wait to try more ;)
