Seattle’s Vietnamese Cafe Chain Coffeeholic Is Expanding to Wallingford | Eater Seattle

"A University Village–adjacent brunch spot operated by the same owners behind the local coffee chain, offering brunch service with Vietnamese coffee–influenced touches." - Harry Cheadle

The 17 Best Spots For Iced Coffee In Seattle

"This U-District cafe from the same folks behind Coffeeholic House specializes in Vietnamese iced coffee so creamy and sweet it could win the Great British Bake Off. While you can find the same drinks at other Coffeeholic locations, the large space here is more appealing for a leisurely stay while enjoying a nutty black sesame coffee or coconut ube latte nicely presented in a glass. You can’t go wrong with many of the delicious caffeinated sugar bombs, but the best one is a chilled tiramisu egg coffee topped with a ladyfinger and delicious thick egg yolk cream you could frost a cake with." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

The Hottest New Restaurants in the Seattle Area, November 2024

"The Vietnamese cafe Coffeeholic House is known for its brightly colored, ‘Gram-friendly concoctions, so when owners Chen Dien and Trang Cao opened up their brunch restaurant MCozy in April, you knew it wasn’t going to exactly be subtle. We’re talking purple ube pancakes and green pandan waffles with fried chicken wings, a tiramisu coffee that comes with a ladyfinger you can dip into the egg cream. Bring your sweetest-toothed friend, just be careful when you park — you can’t use the University Village lot across the street." - Meg van Huygen, Harry Cheadle

M Cozy Fusion Cafe - Review - University District - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There are quite a few Seattle brunch spots with interior design inspiration that comes from typing “neutral pinks” into Pinterest. M Cozy in the U District is among them now—but beneath all those pastels are a few bold drinks and snacks. The high-ceilinged Vietnamese cafe gets busy with college students and friend groups catching up over colorful drinks from the folks behind the popular Coffeeholic House. Those caffeinated sugar bombs include a tiramisu egg coffee topped with delicious egg yolk cream you could frost a cake with. Dessert-y food options like the mushy crème brûlée pancakes and dry pandan waffles miss the mark. But the savory food is great, particularly the crispy fish sauce wings and the bánh mì chảo skillet with tangy brown gravy that tastes even better when scooped up with a crusty baguette. If you don’t mind trying to find a good sweet-to-salty balance, this is a great place to fuel up before a lap (or two) around U-Village." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Google
Incredible food and incredible service. Everything was amazing, but the ube pancakes were our favorite! Super friendly staff & owner, taking the time to make sure you understand the menu & chat with you. Food was out quickly. It was the perfect space for us and our toddlers, an accommodation we usually find difficult in the city!

Google
Pretty nice! A solid place for some interesting foods! The pandan waffle was not bad, but the wings were pretty good. The matcha was also not bad, the presentation was truly the highlight. The ube pancakes were also good and the kids would come back for the place! The location was nice as well.

Google
A really good place to get coffee and brunch. I had the coffee flight and all the flavors were good with the Bac Siu being my favorite. To eat I had the Bò Kho Sizzling that was so very flavorful I wanted to lick my bowl clean. I'm a sucker for a good stew or stew like dish.

Google
delicious food & drinks. we all got the chicken waffle, the chicken was nicely crispy & soft. drinks were all flavorful. place is really clean & pretty. overall we’re really glad we stopped by to eat here during our trip!

Google
SO GOOD! The food was so yummy. It was my first time trying out the pandan waffles, and they were good. I also ordered a crème brûlée egg coffee, as I was intrigued by the name and ingredients. The Thai iced tea was also very good. Honestly, you probably can’t go wrong with anything on the drink menu. I would definitely hope to go back again soon and try out more coffee.

Google
Lovely spot with cute and delicious foods. Got the banh mi chao (Vietnamese style breakfast on the hotplate), ube pancakes, and creme brulee egg coffee. Ube pancakes were very flavorful but not too sweet, with shredded coconut on top adding a bit of texture. The coffee doesn't taste eggy but it's a bit more sweet.

Google
Very unique food experience and delicious food. The softest waffles I’ve ever tried, yummiest coffee and refreshing passion fruit drink. I recommend this place 110%!!

Google
Delicious Vietnamese food. Went here the week prior for the chicken pandan waffles and bo luc lac (forgot to take pictures), and we enjoyed the food so much we came back for banh mi chao & banh mi chao beef stew. Easy self order service. Atmosphere is chill, and the design of the restaurant is unique.

Yelp
M Cozy Fusion Cafe is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! Beautiful decor inside, clean, and everything is just aesthetically pleasing! You can park on the street or in the garage parking across the street for free. It's one of those restaurants where you order at the cashier, get a table card number, and seat yourself wherever you'd like. They bring the food to you, and water and utensils are self serve. When you are finished eating, you can just leave the plates and utensils on the table. Menu items I've tried and enjoyed: Banh Mi Chao: SO GOOD. Huge portion so it's perfect for sharing with friends. They definitely don't skimp out on the amount of meat they give out and the banh mi is always crispy and nicely toasted. It comes with tomatoes, eggs, and Vietnamese ham as well. 10/10! Pandan Waffle with Fried Chicken: I'm not usually a big fan of pandan, but the pandan flavor in their waffles is very mild and not too overwhelming at all! It was the perfect balance for me! The fried chicken was juicy and paired really well with the waffles! Matcha Latte: very solid and semi sweet (just the way I like it!) Thai Tea French Toast: french toast with lots of fruits and a Thai tea cream dip. It was sweet and came in a large portion as well! Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
One of our favorite brunch spots near UW! The food and drinks here are consistently fantastic -- we're especially obsessed with the ube pancakes and chicken and waffles. It's a go-to place for a cozy, casual brunch with seriously good flavor. The vibe is laid-back and inviting, though just a heads-up: it's fully self-serve, including utensils and water. Not a dealbreaker, but something to note. Overall, a great spot with unique dishes and a solid brunch menu. We keep coming back!

Yelp
Been coming on and off since they opened a year ago. Food prices have improved (but still pricey for the amount), drinks are amazing, but I've got some complaints: -The baristas give you a lot of attitude when you correct them on your drink order. If I'm paying nearly $9 for a drink including tip, I want it correctly made. -they seem to stop serving food between 2-4pm depending on how busy it is. This isn't listed on their website or instagram anywhere. Some transparency would be great. -they close their bathrooms during the last 1-2 hours of business, which is a violation of the WAC 246-215-05235 Numbers and capacities--Toilets and urinals (FDA Food Code 5-203.12). They need to keep the restrooms open if they're not doing take away only - which they're not, people are still allowed to be seated/haven't finished their meals yet. That's my update

Yelp
Beautiful location. I've heard a lot about M Cozy cafe and their unique brunch menu. I came here for coffee and got the tiramisu egg coffee, it was really good, strong, and creamy. I love that they had ladyfingers inside the drink. Parking was a bit hard to find, I had to park at the U Village parking lot and walked over there. I will be coming back to try the Thai tea french toast.

Yelp
Really cute spot that just opened up, had the waffle and wings. Wings very crispy but bland. Pandan waffles were good. My friend had the breakfast with bread that looked like the bomb. Will get that next time! Can park in their building for free otherwise it's 20 for 4 hours.

Yelp
You can choose to order at the counter or pick a table to scan the menu to order. The service was pretty fast and efficient. The cafe was super cute and a great place to eat with friends or family. The matcha strawberry with oatmilk was so good. The little strawberry bits at the bottom went so well when we mixed it with the matcha latte. I wished there was more of it because I finished my drink too fast. The rib eye banh mi chao was pretty decent and went well with the banh mi. The steak was slightly tender, but does the job. I liked the Bo kho sizzling better, since the flavor of the oily broth went well with the banh mi. Next time I'll be back here to try their Thai tea French toast and ube pancakes. :)

Yelp
As a Chicagoan who has landed herself in Seattle, I think I can safely say that I am easily impressed with the Vietnamese food here and I LOVED this spot. Establishment - a relatively small space, but so well decorated and, no pun intended, cozy. Went around midday and with the large windows that take up an entire wall, the sun easily floods in and makes the space feel airy and bright. The tables are a bit of a tight squeeze, but nothing ridiculous. Service - not much to note, everyone was very friendly. I will say I think our server was a bit flustered or maybe overwhelmed, but it took a while to get water for the table. Food - so so good! I got the bahn mi chao, which is ultimately a deconstructed bahn mi. Plenty of beef chunks, tomatoes, a fried egg, and pâte with a side of a baguette to soak up the juices and sauces. Has a good kick to it. I also go the black sesame latte. I feel like I've had better but it wasn't bad; not worth the price, in my opinion. The popcorn chicken was fine, not very seasoned and I've had better but at Taiwanese restaurants. Overall I had a very good experience and have found myself recommending this spot to a handful of friends afterwards already. Needless to say, I will be back and I'm excited to try other menu items!

Yelp
Great brunch spot!! Love the Asian fusion twist on the dishes. The coffee is a must try too! We came on Sunday and had a bit of a wait. We walked around the mall to pass the time so it wasn't so bad. I got the banh mi chao, and we shared the coffee flight and Thai tea French toast. Everything was delicious!! The coffee flight was yummy and a great way to taste a couple flavors! Sharing it was nice too since it would have been a little too much caffeine for me. The Thai tea French toast tasted good as well, but I wasn't blown away by it. Maybe we'll try the ube pancakes next time! And the banh mi chao was soooo delicious! The meat and sauce was so flavorful and savory. The bread on the side was perfect for dipping! I'd highly recommend this dish. Really enjoyed the food here and think it's worth the wait! I think the coffee flight and banh mi chao are great options to get. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes!

Yelp
To be exact, I'd give it 4.5/5! Their pandan chicken and waffles was their most popular item and it lived up to its hype! The pandan waffles were extremely flavourful (I love that you can actually taste the Pandan). The chicken pieces were huge and I like that they added some fish sauce to it-- definitely a twist. The drinks were very good as well-- if you go to coffeeholic, it's basically like that. Quite spacious but it gets busy so it can be hard to get a seat since it's first come first serve. Workers were attentive and kind.

Yelp
This is a fun spot and the food is pretty good but the price and the parking situation are not great to say the least. I have come here twice, first time I tried their fish sauce chicken wings with pandan waffle and then the second time I got the banh mi chao. The food both times was pretty good and I was satisfied. However I do not think it was good enough to justify the pretty steep costs. The parking situation outside can be difficult as you cannot park in nearby Uvillage.

Yelp
Go early! We showed up around 1:15pm on a Saturday in March. Waitly as the waitlist. Parking is indeed a nightmare. I got lucky with street parking on the other side of the building but wow, that was tough. When we arrived, there were two groups (size 2 and 3) ahead of us (party of 2) - by the time it was our turn to order there were 5 groups of 2 people waiting (after us). Drinks: we ordered a coffeeholic dream (12oz) and a creme brulee egg coffee (16oz). As usual - coffeeholic dream was good. Crème brulee was real - they torched the top layer! Food: we ordered ube pancakes (2, not 4), the banh mi xiao, and the chicken and pandan waffles. I really liked how thick and fluffy the ube pancake was. The pandan waffle was slightly dry but the syrup and fried chicken helped make up for it. The fried chicken had a lot of fish sauce which gave it a more succulent savory flavour. Banh mi Chao was great. The only "annoying" part about this place is that you're doing random things self serve, like getting your own napkins, plates, and water. However, you can't self-serve cutlery (wat), so if they forget to give you cutlery you have to awkwardly pace near the counter to get their attention. One thing I did forget to ask about was peanuts, but I'm still alive so that's a data point. Ambience-wise, it's astronaut themed, and only one bathroom so lines form constantly. The prices are very reasonable but after tax and tip it came out to over $80 USD for the missus and I. That being said, we both left extremely full. I want to try the Thai tea French toast next time!

Yelp
FYI when you come you must order your food first and then find a spot to sit. I love coffeeholic so I was so excited when this brunch place opened. The service was good and the food came out super quick. We got their viet coffee flight, bahn mi chao, ube pancakes, and Pandan waffle and chicken. Coffee is good of course. I loved the bahn mi chao. It was so hearty and flavorful. The ube pancakes were too sweet and the pancake seemed undercooked in the inside, would pass. The Pandan waffle didn't taste like Pandan at all so that was disappointing, but the chicken was super crispy and good. Overall I enjoyed this place and would come back to try other dishes!
google avatar

Yelp
Inside is tall and spacious. Seating was easy to get, but I'm pretty sure if it's pretty busy you have to wait a bit. The service was okay. It's not like a place that has servers. It makes sense because you pay for your food before you sit down. We had to bus our own table (get our own plates, utensils, water, napkins). Not a problem because it's very visible. The food was pretty good. The chicken and waffle were excellent!! Chicken is nuoc mam flavored The banh mi chao was good, but I would suggest two eggs instead of one. Not the best, but tasty. The coffee flight was cool. We wanted to try different flavors and it was well made. This was shared among 3 girls. We enjoyed it and would recommend it to others!

Yelp
Cute Asian fusion brunch spot near Uvillage. I went when it first opened and waited quite a while to be seated and served. However, the food is pretty good and definitely more delightful than traditional brunch. The pandan waffle was really good, but the beef stew is just okay. Highly recommend their drinks tho (I believe it's the same menu as Coffeeholic) and it's super yum!!

Yelp
Very cute café tucked away across from U Village. If you can't find street parking, follow the instructions on their website to locate entrance to the parking garage in the same building. We tried the Thai Tea French Toast, Ube Pancakes, and Bahn Mi Chao. My partner commented it was one of the best French toasts he's had in a very long time. Lightly crispy, fluffy not dense slices of bread, with strawberries and blueberries (they forgot the bananas, and he didn't realize it until it was too late). Ube pancakes were slightly dense but better than some we've tried elsewhere in Seattle. The star of our meal was the Bahn Mi Chao. The baguette is very crispy and light, the steak bits were tender, the sauce amazing for dipping. The paté was a little too soft/runny for my liking. Can't comment much on the service because it's a place where you order at the counter and they deliver your food. Bathroom is clean and the mouthwash dispenser is appreciated, though there were no cups so I couldn't use it.

Yelp
This place is as incredible as the hype! The drinks were delicious, the food was amazing and the staff were super friendly and observant. The vibes were very chill and relaxing but it can get very busy so make sure to get there nice and early. Also, make sure to order before you sit down as this prevents people from securing tables when they have not ordered yet. This place was a 10/10 and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the most interesting and fun menus I've seen yet! They have many food options that looked fantastic but I just ended up getting a drink. I got the crème brûlée egg coffee and if you're like me and love sugary coffee, then you will love this. It was super creamy and the crunch to the crème brûlée added a nice texture. I would say if you don't like your coffee sweet, I would get something else. The service on my coffee was quick, but my friend got the ube matcha and missed her order so consistency may be improved here. Though, as soon as she asked they made her order. The restaurant decor was based off astronauts and was unique and well done. The booth we got was perfect seating and the bathrooms were nice too! They even had mouthwash!! I will def be back for food soon.
google avatar

Mahika A.

Yelp
The matcha here was amazing. I would come back here just for that. I've also heard the coffee flight is really good. There are very limited vegetarian options. The only savory option was the parmesan fries as a side, and they aren't very good. I wouldn't order them again. The ube pancakes were good as well. I'm not much of a sweet person, but the syrup ratio was a bit too little. It was harder to eat at the end because it became too dry. Another note, it is nice inside, but it can become way too sunny. It's direct sunlight in your face the whole time, so some shades could be nice. I would choose a seat a little further from the window next time. Will definitely be revisiting for the matcha. I would love to try out some other savory vegetarian menu items if they ever add them.

Yelp
M Cozy Fusion is the sister brunch spot to the infamous Coffeeholic and is the place that got me addicted to black sesame coffee. I got the Dark Haze (Black Sesame) Latte and got to try the panda waffles with fried chicken. The first time I got the latte and had in restaurant it was some of the best coffee I had in a while, but the second time I found it a bit bitter. Nonetheless, the black sesame is still so good. The place is incredibly spacious and it does not get that crowded during the day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table, so it definitely functions more like a restaurant than a cafe. I love that they offer classic Vietnamese breakfast/brunch options and am excited to try other things out!

Yelp
Been a fan of Coffeeholic for awhile so finally happy to see that the owners decided to expand! The drinks are from the coffeeholics menu so you'll find some of the same drinks here which taste just as awesome. Fried Chicken & Pandan Waffles - So delicious! I was impressed by the chicken. It's seasoned well and juicy on the inside which I really appreciate. The Pandan waffle was also delicious and it pairs well with the savory taste of the chicken. Price is average for a brunch place so about $18-20 for a dish. Pricey normally but with Seattle costs it's about the same as any other cafe food. Xoi Man - This dish is sticky rice with some other things added to it. I'm normally used to it all scrambled up together in one dish but this was more deconstructed. Delicious still! Overall, a cafe that serves good drinks and good food is worth it. There's plenty of seating and the interior is beautiful! Love the space.

Yelp
It's situated right across from the University Village mall. They have a lot of unique coffee varieties, and all are amazing!! You should definitely try one of their drinks if you are here. Food is pretty decent and the only reason why I didn't give them a 5 star is because the "panda pancake" was not well mixed where I still tasted/saw chunks of dry flour. I think they were very busy when I went and kitchen just didn't spend enough time mixing the batter before cooking. Staff is very friendly and everything is super clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Popped in to finally give them a try after hearing about the drinks from my colleague. The shop is super cute, with space themes and minimalistic decor! The menu also has a few true food items, so if you're HUNGRY, there is surely something for you! My choice for the day, because I needed a pick-me-up, was the Coco-Ube Latte and it was amazing! It's as though you are drinking the creamiest ice cream, with the bonus of being poured over the GOOD ice. The order turnaround to service was super quick and friendly. The price point is also exactly what you'd expect for the UVillage area. Will definitely be back to maybe try that amazing looking coffee flight!

Yelp
My 3 friends and I stopped by this place for brunch. The service was bad and the food was overpriced. We came in and wanted to sit down and then order but were told to get up and order first. Our table we were sitting at was immediately given away even though there were multiple other empty ones. Gave weird vibes, the staff wasn't very nice. They also did not bring our table water, we had to ask multiple times before we got any. The ambiance was fine but it was crowded on a Sunday. The coffee is good but I wouldn't come again for the food. I appreciate the gluten free option but it was lackluster.

Yelp
I have been craving a Viet fusion brunch and fun coffee drinks! Matcha wasn't strong like how I would prefer but the egg coffee was good. The Banh mi chao was my favorite! The beef is more tender than the one at Nep Cafe (in SoCal). The viet chicken wings with pandan waffles were ok, the wings had a light fish sauces flavor but hoped that it was more savory. Pandan waffles were great though, the flavor came through and was a fun dish to share. Would pass on shaken beef. The beef itself was fine, not as tender as the beef in the banh mi chao, but the ketchup rice was mushy. They validate parking at Artiza garage. The signs will say $20 for 2 hours but once you're in the restaurant, there's a QR code to scan and fill out information to get your parking validated. Haven't tried this myself but it doesn't seem clear from their website and from signs outside the store about the parking validation so we risked it at U Village. They're not connected to UVillage so there's a risk of getting towed if you park across the street and walk over.

Yelp
TL;DR The Banh Mi Chao was absolutely delicious and worth coming for alone. My girlfriend and I came around noon on a Saturday. Though there was a line waiting for seats at this time, the line went by fairly quickly. What I did find odd was that once it is your turn to be seated, they assign you a table, but you still have to go back in line to order food. Maybe they should have you order food first and then assign you a seat so you don't have to potentially wait in two different lines? As mentioned, I got the Banh Mi Chao which gave me Taiwanese Black Pepper Sizzling Steak vibes since the sauce was similar. The sauce itself is flavorful but a bit salty on its own which is why dipping the baguette into it is perfect. While I was not the biggest fan of the pate (never liked liver) and cherry tomatoes (my least favorite type of tomatoes), I was thoroughly enjoyed the steak, cha lua (vietnamese sausage), and eggs. My girlfriend and I also shared an order of takoyaki fries which were honestly disappointing. There was not enough kewpie mayo and teriyaki sauce on the fries, and the bonito flakes and seaweed didn't really cling to the fries like they do on takoyaki balls. Part of that is because the seaweed they used should've been shredded into thinner strips. I would not recommend this dish. Overall, I was pretty pleased with this meal and would certainly come back for the Banh Mi Chao alone.

Yelp
I've visited this restaurant twice with friends, all of us Black women. The food is excellent -- every dish we've had was flavorful, well-prepared, and absolutely worth coming back for. Unfortunately, the service -- specifically interactions with the owner -- has made both visits uncomfortable. During our most recent visit, one of my friends arrived first, put her name on the waitlist, and was seated. When the rest of us arrived and went to join her at the table (after greeting her with a hug, clearly showing we were together), the owner approached us and, instead of a welcome, questioned us as if we were doing something wrong. He insisted there was a waitlist and implied we were bypassing it, despite the fact that our friend was already seated and had checked in properly. When we calmly clarified the situation, he continued pressing, even asking, "Do you know her?" -- which was insulting and unnecessary. This wasn't an isolated experience. The first time we came, we were sat near the trash can without explanation, scolded for using the self-serve water station, and told we couldn't request additional syrup without an extra charge -- which was delivered in a condescending tone. We chose not to speak up that first time, thinking maybe we were overthinking it. But the pattern has repeated. I don't want to assume intent, but based on both of our experiences and how we've observed the owner interact more kindly with other (non-Black) customers, it's hard to ignore the difference in energy. It feels dismissive at best and discriminatory at worst. Great food should come with great service -- or at least basic respect. Sadly, we no longer feel comfortable returning here.

Yelp
I already love Coffeeholic so I'm not surprised that I also fell in love with M Cozy. Their ube pancakes are delicious and the coconut syrup served with them is tasty too. And of course, I had to get a purple haze with brunch.

Yelp
10/10!!!!! Coffee flight is a must! Viet chicken and pandan waffle is a must! Garlic parm fries were very Parmesany which we loved. I would pass on the Thai tea French toast to be honest. I didn't love the flavor, it wasn't amazing and I've had better French toast. It was all bread with no flavor wig a side of Thai tea sauce on the side. Viet coffee was literally amazing. I've had better fish sauce chicken wings but this wasn't bad. The batter was a little thick. I love a good fishy fish sauce wing but this was on the lighter side. Can't wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Service was okay here. You order first then they give you a number and you find a table. We weren't quite done eating yet but there was a big party that was waiting for us to be done to take over the entire booth area and they cleaned our table when I was still trying to finish my drink. Extra plates, water, cups, utensils were on the side table as self serve which you don't notice and they don't announce after you place your order so if it's your first time- they aren't very clear about that.

Yelp
The food overall was pretty good and the drinks are well made! The Bánh Mì Chảo was very filling and the bread was so soft. The Viet Chicken Wings & Pandan Waffle was also savory snd sweet. However, the food does feel very heavy. The wings have a "fish sauce" like smell so some may not like. The atmosphere was nice and clean, and the servers were friendly.
google avatar

Annie C.

Yelp
I got the Banh Mi Chao and a hot black sesame latte. The Banh Mi was a huge portion. It came with 2 runny egs and a good amount of braised short rib. It was pretty strongly flavored and sweet. Though it was tasty and well-cooked, I probably wouldn't go for it again because of how heavy it was. I'm used to the super hard banh mi bread, and was delighted when i discovered the bread served on the side was soft, but with a thinly crunchy outer crust. The sesame latte was good, but very sweet. Combined with the banh mi, it was a very heavy meal for me. I enjoyed the ambiance, clean interior, and the creative menu, so I'd be down to come back to try something else.

Marylyn T.

Yelp
We went with a group of 8 on a Sunday, and we didn't have to wait long at all despite them being busy! The staff were really accommodating. The Banh Mi Chao was so good. The beef was tender, the sauce was flavorful, and all the additional toppings were great. I would get this again. My friends, however, got the Beef Stew, but they said they preferred my dish more. They had a big selection of drinks, and their Vietnamese Coffee was good, nothing special.

Yelp
Came here early at 10am! There was no line and I got the pandan waffles and chicken. I really enjoyed the taste of the chicken and it was fried perfectly and juicy on the inside. The pandan waffles were a good crunch, I personally have a sweeter tooth so I do wish the flavor was a little bit stronger though. Added with syrup they were good! Also the ambiance of the place was super nice! A very beautiful store and definitely could spend more time here, the waiters were attentive also

Yelp
OMG! The food and drinks at M Cozy blew me away! All the food dishes are so creative and yummy. My favorite is the Churro French Toast because it doesn't need any syrup so it remains a bit crispy but full of flavor. The Viet Wings are juicy and huge! The beef stew is tender and the baguette soaks up the broth so well. The owner came over and provided extra serving bowls for the kids. And every staff were smiling and so patient. Best part is it's right next to the U Village mall so it's super convenient and we can go shopping after to walk off the calories. Can't wait to go back soon!

Yelp
I have been to M Cozy a couple of times and as a fellow Coffeeholic lover like other reviewers, it's a great place to go on a weekday afternoon before you do your shopping at UVillage. Some of the menu items are a bit of a miss (the pandan waffles are a bit on the dryer side), but the drinks are to die for. The tiramisu latte I got recently was decadent and beautiful to look at. I usually get the Bahn mi chao and it hasn't disappointed me yet! My only complaint would be that there is some wear-and-tear on the tables and chairs. On busy days, the tables aren't the cleanest. However, service has been good and the cashiers are always very nice and helpful.

Yelp
Everything amazing food is so delicious, nothing I've tried so far has disappointed. I've tried the Thai tea French toast (8/10), morning plate (10/10), crème brûlée pancakes (9/10), xoi man (6/10), ube pancakes (8/10), Nutella French toast (9.5/10). The drinks were also really good. I've tried the Thai milk tea (6.5/10), Thai green milk tea (9/10), matcha purple haze (6.5/10), Vietnamese coffee (9/10), coffeeaholic dream (10/10), tiramisu egg coffee (8/10), purple haze (9/10). The Service is always really great, they always come to check on you. They also play really good modern music if you're into that! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Disappointing Experience Beware parking miscommunication: I parked in their retail parking lot, they have signs that state the retail buisnesses "validate" parking. I decided to pay for parking and come to the resturant believing that M Cozy would pay for parking. They would however you were not suppose to pay for parking and the validation is a separate process. Horrible experience here.

Yelp
M Cozy is an Asian fusion cafe created by the founders of Coffeeholic so you can bet the drinks are delicious! I was excited to try an Asian-inspired brunch spot and was greeted by bright, colorful decor when I walked in. This place was fairly busy but I liked how efficient it was: you order/pay at the counter and then they seat you (so you don't have to worry about waiting for the check when you're done). I tried the Sunset Gradient and Matcha Latte drinks and shared the Thai Tea French toast and Banh Mi Chao with a friend. The food was plated well which makes this spot great for pictures. Let's get into the food/drinks! - Sunset Gradient: It's a drink made up of passion fruit and soda water, topped with butterfly tea. The flavors worked well together to make a refreshing drink and bonus points for being aesthetically pleasing as well! - Matcha Latte: I always enjoy a good matcha latte but I feel like it's pretty standard and something you could get anywhere - I recommend trying one of their unique drinks instead. - Thai Tea French Toast: Had a solid Thai tea flavor in the sauce and not too sweet, but there wasn't a lot of flavor in the toast itself and I wished the exterior was more crispy. I would be a little more impressed if it incorporated more of the Thai tea in the dish itself, and not just the sauce. - Banh Mi Chao: This dish came with a toasty baguette that was soft in the middle that I used to soak in the sauce. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this was and the meat was tender. The savoriness was a great balance to the sweetness of the other things I ordered. Service was friendly and quick as well. Since the restaurant gets busy, the noise levels do get loud and the space was a little cramped as we were seated in between two other tables. But overall, I had a good experience and recommend this as a brunch spot!

Yelp
I love ube, so one of my goals is to try all the ube menu in Seattle, and this place exceeds my expectations! The matcha purple haze is really good. I got it 50% sweet, and it was just the right amount. The matcha has a strong, nutty flavor, and the ube is thick and flavorful. The ube pancake is also excellent. I love the texture; it reminds me of donuts, and the coconut sauce is delicious. I just wish they gave a bit more sauce. However, I'm deducting a star because of the service. It was a little slow, even though it wasn't busy, it took a while for them to show up to take our order and for the food to be served. The restaurant is cute, but it was a bit dirty with unclean tables, floors, and chairs scattered around in a disorganized way. Overall, I'm still impressed with the food and can't wait to go back and try other items on their brunch menu!

Yelp
Excellent brunch spot. We tried the Viet Chicken Wings and Pandan Waffle, the Morning Plate, and the Thai Tea French Toast. Everything was beautiful and tasty. My favorite was the chicken and waffles! If you're not very familiar with fish sauce, don't let the smell keep you from trying this dish. It is executed well and they got the sweet and savory combination done right. It was also my first time trying egg coffee and it was great! The cafe has cute interiors but it could get a bit noisy during peak hours. Service was great as well.

Yelp
From the owners of Coffeeholic comes their cafe. There's street parking available - do NOT park in the university village garage as there's signage saying you'll be towed. To order, you can find a seat, and scan a QR code to order your food. You could find all the Coffeeholic drinks available on their menu. Food is on the pricey side but good. The ambiance was nice and service was okay. Banh mi chao: the favorite of the visit. The sauce is delicious and overall a great dish. The baguette is also warm, crunchy on the outside, and soft in the middle. Banh mi Chao beef stew: The beef stew was pretty soupy and reminded me of Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The beef provided was 3 big chunks of lean and tendon meat. Overall okay. Ube pancakes: I didn't taste and ube flavor and it was more of a coconut pancake as it's covered with coconut flakes and coconut cream. Thai tea French toast: There was a good Thai tea flavor but overall an okay dish. Good to share with friends. Takoyaki fries: The most disappointing item. The fries were unflavored and reminded me of the cafeteria. Pass on this dish. Overall and okay spot but again pricey - a dish and a drink was $40 before tip.

Yelp
What a packed place when we went! It was Mother's Day weekend. A packed place only means that I must be some good food and drinks! Well, I got the pandan waffles and chicken. It was so good! Highly recommend!

Yelp
came in on a Wednesday at noon and there was lots of seating available! I've heard it gets busy so coming on a weekday may be better if you aren't ordering their weekend specials (waffle benedicts?) ordered the tiramisu egg coffee and it came out IMMEDIATELY! it tasted great like all other coffeeholic drinks and was very cute! fried chicken and pandan waffles: BEST CHICKEN AND WAFFLES IVE EVER HAD. the chicken has a sweet fish sauce glaze on top and the waffles have both sweetness and saltiness which were balanced perfectly. This is the best brunch dish I've had in Seattle... banh mi chao: super delicious and the plating is beautiful - highly recommend if you are craving some meat! the pate was creamy buttery perfection on the baguette I think this is one of the BEST brunch spots in Seattle (THE BEST for Asian inspired brunch). The plating is beautiful, decor is beautiful, staff is friendly, and the bathrooms are gender inclusive and very clean!

Yelp
A very cute new cafe in Seattle! Stopped by for drinks after University Village! **Parking is Limited here!! Drive safe! I tried the Sunset Refresher & Tiramisu Egg Coffee! Both were super delicious and good portion sized! The barista/server who checked me out did forget about my order :') but after 10 mins I did go ask & she was apologetic and made them very quick! Staff are all kind so don't be afraid to ask them about your order! Can't wait to come back & try the food items on the menu!

Yelp
I went here for their soft opening. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming! There was a lot of seating in every corner, so it's a great place to study with friends. I have heard that M Cozy is part of the popular Seattle coffee chain Coffeeholic. With that I had high expectations for their coffee. I got the Midnight Coffee which is Vietnamese coffee with black sesame foam on top, the ube pancake and the Thai tea pancake. After giving it a try, I didn't really taste the coffee and after another taste I realized that the coffee wasn't strong and was really water down. The coffee wasn't very strong earlier, and I'm a girly who likes her coffee strong, especially Vietnamese coffee. But the black sesame foam was really good and met my expectations. I would prefer if they didn't add too much ice to the point where it gets water down and service the coffee right away after making it. Overall the environment is nice and cozy like the name hehehe. But the coffee could use some improvements. I'll come back to try to see if there's any change in the strongest of the coffee. Rating: 2/5 Midnight Coffee: coffee was really water down and wasn't strong. 1/5 Thai Tea Pancake: I'm sorry but the Thai tea wasn't coming out from the Thai tea sauce. I just tasted like I was eating tea rather than Thai tea, since it wasn't sweet at all. It's very bland 2/5 Ube pancake: honestly I'm a girly with a sweet tooth and these pancakes were overall too sweet for me. And there wasn't much of a ube flavor as well.

Yelp
Probably one of the top brunch spots I've been to in quite awhile! We were lucky to eat here on a Saturday morning without too much of a crowd (probably because UW is on summer break), ordered at the counter, and sat down right away. There are mostly small tables for groups of 2-4, but there are a few spots where you might be able to squeeze in more. My favorite dish was the pandan chicken and waffles. Chicken wings and mini drumstick pieces were super juicy, meaty, and a great balance of salty and sweet. French bread that came with the morning plate was soft and flaky and fresh. Drink options are on-point, since they're owned by Coffeeholic. Our service that day was super quick. The shop owner came out to chat with customers, and you can tell how much passion they put into what they do. Make sure to walk off the food coma afterwards by hanging out around UVillage for awhile! Next time I will be coming back to try more dishes, and also the yummy pastries they have behind the display.
