The 38 Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv | Eater

"Meat fanatics will meet their match at this no-frills, tavern-style eatery, which serves the best cuts from Meatmarket, a high-end butcher shop just next door. Sink your teeth into arayes — huge pitas jam-packed with ground lamb, and then thrown on the grill. Wash it down with a shot of arak, an anise-flavored drink. [$$]" - Keren Brown

I used to love this place, but unfortunately, the standards have slipped. The stuffed onion was quite dry and really could have used a sauce to bring it together. The Arais had a surprisingly small amount of meat inside—definitely not what it used to be. On a positive note, the service was excellent—very warm and welcoming.

Great place. Delicious salads, I tend to avoid ordering steaks, they are expensive like everywhere in Israel and do not reach the level of meat in the US. All other dishes are interesting and delicious.

This is not a good place to eat meat. I had a ribeye, medium rare. And it was a challenge to chew it, and I even cut it. A good place to try brain nuggets. The tartar was just bad. The taste of vinegar instead of beef. That would be a reasonable place for 1/3 of the price. But for restaurant prices you could go just anywhere else. Another thing is the atmosphere. This is literally a table on the market without AC.

A hidden gem! If you’re a meat lover, this is your place! Can order off the menu or go to the butcher’s glass and choose your own steak, skewers, beef, chicken, and many other options. They weigh it for you and then grill it to perfection. Everything we ordered (& we ordered a lot of food for 8 people!) was delicious! Yummy grilled vegetables on the side. Their Shuk Green salad was excellent! And to top it all off, the desserts were so delicious! The best malabi we’ve ever had! We sure hope to make it back again soon!

Keep it simple, as a concept, but very well executed. Probably the best meat restaurant experience I have ever visited. Side dishes and desserts are delicious such as the starters and the main portions. Service is extremely dedicated and willing to guide you from the moment you enter and until you leave. Our waitress was very attentive and gave us great recommendations. Recommended!

What a fantastic place! We came here for lunch on Friday and had such a great time. Come early to secure your seat as this place can get crowded. All the meat are delicious but the "Raeise" is the best thing there. It's a pita backed with meet in it... It's amazing.

Boutique butchery shop turned restaurant, following the trend of opening restaurants at the markets. Run by serious meat freaks who offer best and local quality of beef for pretty steep prices. I have ate it all to recommend the pita dishes over your typical steaks. You probably will do great with everything on the menu, but arais and shawarma really stand out. Avoid on Fridays, unless sweating in queue at the market is your thing

Was here a year ago and now again today. The best steak in Israel. Period. Hidden in a non assuming spot in the middle of the Carmel Market, this spot is a must on any list! Got the ribeye with the tomato and tahini salad, was enough for the two of us and we we savored every single bite.
