We went on a Monday night. Only few customers present. We ordered truffle fries to share then the half and half chicken tenders. The food was good but the tenders took so long to come out that we got full from finishing the fries and just took the tenders to go. Service was not impressive. Our waiter was nice but only showed up to give us the food. Otherwise nowhere to be found

Just visited Mad for Chicken and tried their mac and cheese and bulgogi over quinoa. The bulgogi was good, but the mac and cheese was a bit overpriced at $12 and wasn't that flavorful. Overall, the food was okay, but the place has a nice atmosphere. I would recommend skipping the mac and cheese and trying something else on the menu. Being born and raised in Queens I have been going to Mad for Chicken for years. Chimaek is in my blood and I could always trust MFC to satisfy my latenight cravings closing at 11:30. Unfortunately I came here with 6 people and the daily special was refused as it was the day before Thanksgiving Eve…. Very weird, been coming here for years and this never happened. Pelicana’s original chicken looking pretty tasty right about now ifykyk.

The food was truly amazing! The name 'Mad for Chicken' is apt, as the chicken is so mouthwateringly delicious that it will drive you crazy with cravings to return again and again. The dishes are finger-licking good, and don't let the name fool you - they also offer some delectable some beef options like beef quesadilla for those who prefer it. The environment is pleasant and clean, and while the service could be a tad faster, the friendly server made up for it. Overall, I'd give this place a well-deserved 9.5 out of 10

First time in this location and it honestly didn’t make me wanna go back there. Took forever to clear a table, after sitting for 5min no menu’s were given so we had to ask unfortunately. The popcorn they give to share for the table was stale. I also didn’t like that they couldn’t give chicken with no sauce. I do like their parmesan truffle fries even though it taste like more Parmesan than truffle. I also didn’t like that their dumplings weren’t individually cooked instead were mixed with vegetable, pork and beef. The service wasn’t great but I’m not sure if it’s cause it was 12am or they were just not on top of their game. I highly doubt I’ll be going back there.

Please hire more help!!! They only had one waitress working. The food was cold. The Bay Ridge location is much better.

It was different. Not sure if I would return. Their version of a piña colada is more like a mojito. I'm not a fan of mojitos. The service was bad I think they're short staffed. It was mother's day it was empty they had tables available. Now I know why.

Hello My name is Vivian!!! Last weekend was my birthday, and we decided to go there. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The kimchi rice was overly greasy and terrible. The young staff seemed indifferent, and the guy with purple hair showed no interest in addressing our complaints. Even the popcorn was awful. We sat at the bar, which was also filthy. I definitely don’t plan on returning to this place.

Everything in this place is amazing. Love ordering everything. Highly recommended

I came here mainly because it was opened late - my friend and I were hungry after a concert. And secondly, I thought you couldn't go bad with Mad for Chicken (based on my experience at the other Queens locations). However, this location proved me wrong... in a negative way. When my friend and I first sat down, I noticed the late night happy hour menu, which we were right in the timeframe for. So, we decided to order a few options from that menu. We each decided to get a beer considering its discounted price. Since we are both novice at beer consumption, we asked our server some questions and his opinion, but noticed that he wasn't knowledgeable about any of these beers at all. I was taken aback a bit but didn't bother me much. In the end, we both decided to go with our gut choices. We also decided to share a serving of nachos & toppoki. Despite the server saying that the nachos from the late night menu is a smaller portioned size, I thought it was adequate enough considering how we didn't want to eat too much so late at night. So, I thought that it was a good portion size and tasted good. However, I was very disappointed by the toppoki. First of all, the toppoki was very sweet and not spicy at all! It was filled with onion slices. The rice cakes were the smallest ones I've ever seen when ordering this dish elsewhere. As a Korean, I know this isn't authentic at all and would not recommend. Also seeing that there weren't any Korean employees working at this Korean fried chicken chain location, I wasn't totally surprised at how mediocre it was. Lastly, what disappointed me the most... was their honesty in doing business. When we received the bill for our meal, my friend paid with her card. Immediately after we got the final receipt, I noticed that they upcharged us for the beer (not the price listed on the late night menu). So when I went to ask them about this, they gave the excuse that beers are exempt from this special pricing because "it's a concert night". I was kinda dumbfounded. Never once did they mention that when we were ordering from the late night menu in the first place (maybe wouldn't have ordered it if it wasn't cheaper). I also wondered if they might have changed it if I noticed before paying, but I personally thought that they were just lazy to refund or alter that amount since it was already paid for. The experience with the mediocre toppoki and the upcharge for "concert nights" did not leave a good first impression on either one of us. I personally would not visit this location again and would actually recommend others to visit Flushing/Bayside locations instead.

Placed an order via Grub Hub at 6:46PM. Order #: 24032773-3772256 Total was $65.73 It was delivered by 7:33PM. Upon receipt of order, Chicken was cold! Mac & Cheese was Cold! Unacceptable! Mind you I'm only about a 8 to 10 min drive from the restaurant. Paying Customers should not have to reheat an order that was delivered.

Went for lunch on a Wednesday around noon and the place was pretty empty. Service was attentive. We both ordered the lunch special which the server pointed out to us. While we waited, we got seasoned popcorn and water. The lunch special of 2 drumsticks and a thigh plus French fries came with a soda. All for only $12.99. The food portions were so large, I packed home half my fries and a drumstick. Definitely would go back to try some of the other lunch specials.

I can't speak about the service because this was a delivery order, but I've passed by and it looked like it'd be a great drinking spot for a fun time with friends! This was my first time trying Mad for Chicken, and I was disappointed by the Signature Wings. The bones were broken, which wasn't a big deal but I had never seen that before in wings. I like a lot of meat in my wings, but these weren't those type of wings. The Spicy Soy Garlic sauce on them were good though. The Spicy Soy Garlic Mad Tenders were tender and flavorful without drowning in sauce. It wasn't particularly juicy, but I did like the tenders anyway. The spice level in the soy garlic sauce was perfect. Even though I like both kimchi and fries, I've decided I'm not a big fan of them together in the Kimchi Fries. The fries have the perfect amount of potato and was crisp with the perfect fried texture on the outside. I would go back for the regular fries because the fries themselves were really good!

I've heard about Mad for Chicken for years now but have never gotten the chance to stop in until recently. I came in with a friend on a Monday at around 6 pm. Surprisingly, around this time there were a decent amount of people, both at the bar and seated at tables. We weren't very hungry but wanted a pick-me-up after work, so we opted for the Happy Hour menu, which had such great prices! Between the two of us, we got the Parmesan Fries, Lychee Soju Cocktail, and Sangria, all of which were $5 each. We were anticipating getting another appetizer in addition to the fries, but we were surprised by the amount that came with the order and how filling they were, even between two people. The Lychee Soju and Sangria were delicious too! Both were fruity and sweet but weren't too strong. Can't speak too much about the food since all we had were the fries, but I'd come back again for the drinks! I'll have to explore the food selection at another time when I'm hungrier.

First visit first impression is very important!!! I couldn't find the excitement at my first visit. I would understand certain places extremely busy, when you make a mistake i would give credit. We didn't even wait that long to be seated!! Place wasn't even packed, and my order was forgotten, when it came it was wrong. Waited over 40 minutes to get one item to be served. Other than that: Crab salad was ok! Kimchi fried rice is superb! Mac and cheese with bulgogi, can have it again. Wings were average, just because they use miscut chicken wings. You buy these at grocery at discounted prices. Nachos terrible, not only it was prepared wrong, when the right item came, there wasn't even enough ground beef with chili!!

Have been to the Mad For Chicken locations in Flushing and Queens Blvd but only got takeout from this location. Usually looked crowded but that night, we were seated quickly at one of the long wooden tables with benches, which was long enough to share with another group. If preferred, they have tables along the wall as well. We always get their soy and spicy soy garlic chicken. I prefer spicy wings - my tongue was burning though but got used to it after a while, with the help from the radish and some rice. I wanted a break so tried a soy garlic drumstick- the coating was bit overdone, came off like a shell. The meat by itself was bland. That's why I also like wings better. The menu has other items like fries, sandwiches, bowls etc. Re: service, most servers looked more welcoming than ours :|

Mad for Chicken is a go-to for some good chicken. There are multiple locations they're pretty much the same. I get both bone-in and boneless depending on what I'm craving, and my default is always the spicy soy garlic flavor, it's tasty. The quantity is decent, doesn't leave you hungry. Tip: Order a rice if you get the boneless. Service is good - no complaints there. Quick and friendly. Keep in mind the chicken is refried, so if you can stomach that, you're in for a treat. Overall, Mad for Chicken is a reliable spot for a spicy fried chicken fix.

I really wanted to like this place due to the raving reviews and the misleading pics, so I ordered lunch from here.. Huge disappointment! The wings and drumsticks combo were COLD, hard, dry and lacked flavor. The so called "crispy chicken bowl" was meh. The chicken was NOT crispy at all, in fact they were soggy. Underneath the soggy chicken pieces, lay cold rice, a few pieces of glass noodles, guacamole and pica de gallo drenched in an overpowering bbq sauce..It was extremely underwhelming on so many levels..the BBQ sauce doesn't even mesh with the other items, it was sooo distasteful! At least now I can say i've tried Mad for Chicken..and i'm definitely NOT Mad for this chicken. :-/

The waiters are always in a rush. And they never have the frozen drinks. Atleast everytime I come in there. If it weren't for their perfectly tendered on the inside just the right crisp on the outside Chicken I wouldn't come back just because of the service. The benches aren't so comfortable. But their noodles are top 5 for me. They need better service though. Specially when I'm bringing in my 5 year old. They need to explain more of what the menu is instead of waiting for me to guess what's available (3rd time it happened)...the alcohol is Not it....a 3 is fair enough from me.

Went here for late lunch with my kids and luckily noticed the lunch menu. The rice bowls are $15 which is the same price as the regular menu - the only difference is that the lunch menu comes with free drinks. Drinks are limited to sodas, lemonade and teas. Ordered 2 bulgogi bowl only to be told it is NOT in their "system" and is not included in the lunch special. I don't know what "system" that is but if you have it in the menu (see photo) but are not offering it then it's blatant FALSE ADVERTISING. What actually annoyed me more is the fact that they were trying to charge me extra for an arnold palmer (half lemonade/half tea) so I ended up ordering one tea and one lemonade as the free drinks and just mixed it myself. Ah. Seriously. It's not even a busy time right now and it feels like the staff has nothing to so but mess with me.

Yum yum yum! Stopped by for a quick last minute dinner choice. I did not get a chance to eat inside so I cannot tell you their customer service inside. I placed an order over the phone and they gave me a 20 minute wait time for the food. As soon as I arrived home I tried the sweet potatoes but I have to say they were soggy. May just be a preference but I enjoy a good crunchy fry. My bowl was really tasteful. I would be returning back to try out another bowl!

We stopped by for lunch and it was a good decision. We didn't even realize but they have a happy hour 3-6pm for food and drinks. We got 20 wings with half/half sauce of: the spicy & sweet and Buffalo. They both weren't crazy spicy but I was definitely a fan of the Buffalo more. The wings themselves were really crispy and had a nice texture! They also give you a small bucket to throw away the bones which I liked as it keeps your table organized. We tried the lychee soju frozen drinks ($5 for happy hour) and they're so good- dangerous also because you can easily drink a few quick!! Overall it was a great lunch spot and the service was quick. We didn't really have to wait for anything.

My friend was raving about the chicken here so we decided to come after our 5k. They opened at 11am and we got there as soon as they opened. We were the first ones in the restaurant. I didn't expect it to be a restaurant/bar. I thought it was a fast food chicken spot. This was definitely better. Our server greeted us and we ordered right away. They had a full bar but we all got sodas since it was so early. They brought us complimentary popcorn. I didn't like the seasoning on the popcorn but my friends loved it. I ordered 10 wings with sweet and spicy sauce on the side. They had a variety of sauces to choose from. I got a side of fries as well. The chicken was crispy! Everyone really enjoyed their food. We had a nice time. My friend will definitely be back!

Came on a Sunday afternoon with a group of friends and was seated quickly. Very spacious with many TVs showing sports. We ordered their signature wings (half soy garlic & half spicy soy garlic, came with a side of radish), tteokbokki (with additional cost of noodles), and dumplings. The chicken wings were pretty good - nicely seasoned, tender inside with a crunchy outside. The tteokbokki was not spicy so it was perfect for me. Highly recommend the dumplings because of its crispiness! The complimentary popcorn tasted like it was flavored with curry spices (and it sadly also tasted stale but it was free so no biggie). If you like wings, soy garlic sauce, crispiness, this place won't disappoint. Get your wings (and dumplings)!

Hard not to enjoy this casual spot for Korean fried chicken and This location has a sports bar feel to it with a television lined bar and laminated menus for beers on tap. There is a happy hour on weekdays. Service is friendly and attentive. Mad for chicken makes one of the better renditions of Korean fried chicken you can find. The batter is crispy and the chicken within feels quality. They come with daikon and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. Soy garlic is my go to but I tried the buffalo and sweet and spicy which were both good too. The kimchi fries were a great accompaniment.

Delicious food, great ambiance and convenient location. While we usually avoid chains while in flushing, mad for chicken was just what we were craving today Stuck with the classics- grilled chicken sandwich and bulgogi bowl Food that is consistently good and doesn't break the bank

Amazing I'm a fan. Been to all of them (except the Williamsburg location) never had a bad meal or issue with service.

Service is prompt. Food is yum. I especially like the drumsticks, & thighs combo. The spicy option isn't overpowering. Dining area is spacious. I prefer coming at ~5p, to avoid the crowds, & noise.

Lots of seating for friends happy hour on any given day. Ordered the spicy soy garlic and regular chicken wings. Good flavour and matched with the large selection of bottle beer and draft beer makes it a winner. Enjoy

We came here on Memorial Day for dinner - no wait and no reservations. We were promptly seated. We were given popcorn as a snack but it was quite stale. We had 2 orders of wings - one had a mix of soy garlic and spicy soy garlic. The other was a mix of bbq and another spice I forgot. The menu said it'll take 30 mins to be ready - it was ready in 15 mins. The fries were good and crab meat salad was nothing to write home about. I will be back for the wings!

Service was amazing. Ordered the avocado grilled chicken sandwich it was so tender and flavorful, along with wings in spicy sauce. It was a little too salty but good. Ambiance was quite for a Saturday night.

Dined here for an early dinner in forest hills. Off the bat this is a huge establishment with plenty of seating available. My friend and I ordered the kimchi fries and the fried chicken and quesadilla as well as a bottle of soju and lychee cocktails. I think next time I would opt for regular fries as I found the kimchi fries to have way too many onions for my preference. The fried chicken was super crispy and hot I just wish there were more pickled radishes. The drinks were really good and I could see myself coming back here. The service was really good too!

The flavor of theses wings are great! love the concept of the restaurants also. Casual and great for group settings. They have a nice selection of beer on tap and a good bar. The place is clean and ambiance is inviting. All of the servers were friendly and I would definitely go back.

Came on a Saturday night and got seated quickly. The restaurant is pretty big and there's bar seating too, which is nice. The food took a while to come out and it wasn't because we were a big party because we watched other big groups get their food before us. The chicken was good and the portions are generous. We got half soy garlic half spicy soy garlic. The spicy flavor was good - a little too spicy for me but I'm a bit of a wimp :( I recommend getting a side to balance things because the chicken gets a bit heavy after a few pieces. Bathrooms 7/10

This place feeds you the leftovers if you're picking up or delivering. Terrible. It happened with delivery too and we live two blocks away. Never again Jus scraps.

I'd rate Mad for Chicken four and a half stars. Great NYC based Korean fried chicken chain. I had a plate with two drumsticks, a boneless thigh, and fries. I had the spicy soy garlic sauce. Spice level was medium. Great flavor. Breading was thin and ultra crispy. Meat was juicy. I was delightfully surprised with how good it was. I'm not usually a patron for chains and would definitely return. Solid variety of beers. Lots of communal style seating making it good for groups. There were two gender neutral restrooms. I believe they were handicap accessible. Service was very quick and accommodating.

Family meal can only be ordered on their website. I ended up showing up in person and then ordering in the app/website on my phone while sitting on the bench. Isn't that silly? The family meal consisted of 10 wings and five drumsticks along with an appetizer and two sides. I ordered the rice cakes with a side of kimchi and corn salad . 20 minutes later, everything was fine and I brought the order home. When I opened up the box of chicken, I ended up with 20 wings instead of 10 wings and five drumsticks . The entire family agreed that the chicken was on point. The rice cakes (tteok-Bokki) had too much vegetables and not enough rice cake. The kimchi was chopped up, but taste good. The corn salad tasted like corn with coleslaw.

I went here for a date night with my boo and wanted to treat him to his favorite spot.. I went once years ago at a diff location and didn't like it but this time, it changed my mind. We ordered a lychee martini and mango margarita. They were out of towers which cost 50 bucks (I recommend it because drinks are about 12-14 each, and if you get two each, might as well get the drink tower). The drinks were really strong and flavorful. We also got the soju drink sampler which was delicious , the lychee one was my favorite. For food, we got the dumplings(according to him, they were tasty, I don't eat pork) for starters and the Parmesan truffle fries. The fries were the star of the show. Lots of truffle and parm!! I find places will skimp on one or the other but this was balanced. For our meal, we got the 10 piece spicy soy chicken wings and the avocado salad. The chicken was lukewarm when it was brought out which I didn't like. However, it was tasty. The chicken was honestly spicy and I was surprised. I love spicy and many places will say spicy and it isn't.. so this was just right. The avocado salad was amazing, it was full of Parmesan , avocado and baby tomatoes over a bed of greens with a olive oil sesame dressing. My boyfriend doesn't really eat salads like that but this one was enjoyable for him. The service was quick and reliable, and our waiter was really friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for the salad recommendation! Our bill was 98 dollars before tip.

Somebody told me they were similar to Bon Chon and they just happen to be down the street where I was at so off I went. Ordered the Parmesan Truffle Fries and a Small(10 piece) wings. The Parmesan Truffle Fries($11) is topped with truffle oil, garlic, chopped parsely, parmesan cheese, and is served with spicy mayo and ketchup. This was just ok. When it came out it was lukewarm, like it was sitting for awhile and they forgot to bring it out right away. Flavor wise it was lacking. You would think with the above mentioned ingredients that it would be mouth wateringly good but no. I barely tasted any garlic and the fries themselves seemed a bit soggy. I only ate like a quarter of this dish. The Small 10 piece wings($15.95) comes in your flavor choice of soy garlic or spicy soy garlic. Wanted to try both so I got half n half. These wings could have been made better. The breading was not consistent and the texture is supposed to be crispy all around but not in this case. If I had to choose between the two flavors it would be the spicy soy garlic. Really not that spicy but with a little kick. Service was just ok. It seemed that after you get your food, they don't check up on you any more unless you flag them down. Overall, I was not impressed. Bon Chon is way better in my opinion. Our favorite chicken wings! I was picking up wings from them from their first location on Northern boulevard bc my mom friend lived in the neighborhood and introduced me to this restaurant. Got hubby hooked on it after a birthday dinner. Then got my kids especially my daughter hooked on them so was SUPER happy when they open in our neighborhood! No more production to pick up far anymore!

Love this place! They have TVs along the bar and projecting on the big wall, great for catching the game. The wait staff are all super friendly and nice, awesome service. The wings are great, crispy on the outside but meat is tender on the inside. French fries are also super yummy. Recommend for a meal with friends!

Korean fried chicken is sooooo friggin good especially their iconic soy garlic flavor. Overall menu is a bit pricier than other fried chicken joints however it's truly worth the he extra few $$$ Other items on their menu include various sandwiches, salads, bowls and array of sides but star of the show is simply chicken. I personally love the Radish, sweet and vinegary compliment the chicken perfectly. Great food, great service and great music. I'm sold.

I love this area, so many things to do and this restaurant is one of them! The Korean fried chicken is totally delicious. Only thing is; if you like tiny, crispy wings, like me, you'll find these to be on the bigger side. Next time I'll order boneless. They also have a full bar which I like. I think this spot is great for large groups and after work chill-outs. It's pretty loud and had large screen tvs. Kid friendly of course because I dine everywhere with my toddler. Overall great experience! friendly staff and clean restrooms :)

Came here for happy hour with friends. Feel like this is a very cool spot that forest hills needed. The service here is hit or miss. Stood there for ten minutes waiting to be seated and no one helped me so I sat myself and then someone tried to stop me. Then the server never came and I had to constantly flag him down. Eventually tho, the servers switched and our second one was much more helpful and nice. The drink and food deals are very good and the chicken is moist and delicious. Overall a great spot if you can make it for one of their lunch or happy hour deals!

A very casual vibe! We were quickly seated at the bar area and our server was very attentive. We ordered a soju flight to share and popcorn was provided to snack on! The taste of alcohol is not very strong in the drinks, so would definitely recommend to those who want a bit more flavorful sipping! The lychee soju drink from the flight was my fave!

The wings tastes different compared to before, a year ago.... Like other successful restaurants, they probably changed the recipe to reduce costs... Wings were still good but very greasy

Came here for lunch with my daughter a few times. The interior is spacious and nice. They even have picnic tables in the middle of the seating. The server promptly came over to say hello and offer us our waters and menus. They have lunch specials which have to be eaten in dining only (no takeout). The wings are huge, we ordered the kimchi bowl and since i don't eat pork anymore i replaced that for an extra egg and added bulgogi beef to the dish. The clam chowder was ok but that's to be expected getting a north eastern seafood chowder from a spot like this. The frozen lycheeade (nonalcoholic) is also delicious. I 100% recommended. It's a favorite to go to when i. The area. So clean so fresh so yummy !

I'm sorry I could've sworn I gave a review here. So bit pricey. But I've been here twice. Both times in the location in Forest Hills. Absolutely love not just the atmosphere in doors. The open space and the warming staff and friendly. I'm still yet to try the soup that comes in this Aztec looking bowl. I think what got me also was falling in love with this delicious mouth watering left me wanting seconds is their Lychee margarita. Need to try if you like lychee the fruit. I tried it and fell in love. My go to drink when I go. Food is delicious too. Sad part is it's forest hills so good luck on parking.

So, I think the service is hot or miss. I've been a few times and they're either rushing you or disappear for a long time. I do thing most Servers are pleasant. Our server tonight was an Asian woman w/really short hair and I def didn't like her. I asked her a few questions about the flight and her reply was she didn't really know. She rushed us to the point where she had to come back 3 times. In her defense, when we sat down, it was busy. But, about 10min later the walk-ins stopped and the servers were dealing with the tables at hand. Additionally, no one waiting to be seated and empty tables. So, of course, no sign of our server until The bill. The food is relatively good; the wings are perfect. But, come out just warm and the fries come out boiling LOL. I Asked for sauce on the side and preferred it over coming sauces. I was able to control the sauce ratio Ha!Ha! However, the last time the sauce was so heavy, I barely tasted the chicken. Oh, The drinks were amazing and $12. So, decent $$$. Not sure, if I'll go back, though. So many places in the n'hood much better!

Don't come here after 10PM staff are extremely unattractive. They sit at the bar and forget about you. Had to wait almost 20 mins for a check. Very disappointed.

Once again a 5 star experience at Mad for Chicken forest hills. They just updated the menu with lots of fun appetizers and bowls, as well as more sauces! We couldn't stray away from our beloved spicy soy garlic. As always, wings were huge, crispy, and even more spicy this time We tried the new kielbasa bite app-- perfect way to stave off the hunger while waiting for the fresh chicken. Service was super duper attentive and kind. Definitely my favorite location.
